Chronically Online!Yandere had seen this trend that couples were doing all around TikTok. A cute little idea where they’d text each other random updates on their day to see what they say in response. He was way too giddy to try the trend out with you. But instead of texting you updates on his day, he wanted to text you updates on your day!

Unknown Number: “Good Morning! I know you woke up a little earlier than your usual alarm, but that’s ok! It’ll be a good day

“Uh, I think you have the wrong number.”

Unknown Number: “You’re eating some toast for breakfast but maybe you should add some fruit too so you aren’t hungry before lunch.”

“Who is this???”

Creep: “Your drive to work was pretty long but morning traffic be like that sometimes. At least you got some great music taste.”

“If this is some kinda prank, it’s not funny.”

Creep: “Stopping at the grocery store after work is smart. You don’t have much food left in your fridge.”

“How the hell have you seen the inside of my fridge?!”

Stalker: “What you’re cooking smells amazing. Dinner should be done soon and then you can relax.”

“W-what?? Seriously, if you don’t stop I’m gonna call the police!!”

Stalker (Dangerous!!!): “Someone’s knocking on the door. Better open up, darling.”

Chronically Online!Yandere has to stifle his giggling on the other side of the door, waiting for you to open up. All day your responses have been so teasing and adorable. He couldn’t wait to see the look on your face when you saw that it was him, unable to wait any longer to finally be with you.

He owed it all to the sweet TikTok trend. When it popped up on his fyp he knew it was fate the trend had come to him. And boy is he happy it did. Who knew searching up cute couple videos would lead to this?

And remember kids, the next time someone tells you "the government wouldn't do that!" – they're gaslighting you. Bark at them. Bare your teeth and let them know that you know what you saw and what you heard. Don't move an inch from the standpoint you have, don't let anybody talk you out of the picture you've made yourself. It's not "oh yes they would", anymore. It's "they do and they will continue to do so." Be attentive. You know what's happening. Be loud about it.

apparently tiktok is back in the apple store, and I’ve been going back and forth with myself on it about redownloading it- I deleted it a few days before the first ‘ban,’ and frankly, it really was better for me.

Yes, it took a few days to readjust, and it was a lot easier to be bored, but I’ve also felt a lot better mentally. The urge to doomscroll is gone, and I’ve been getting all my news directly from actually accredited news sources. While they are slower and there are biases to be aware of, the information I’ve been getting has been a lot more clear and lacks the dramatized, overtly emotional feel that a lot of tiktok videos about current events had.

There’s also the added matter of the odd alleged censorship on tiktok that’s been going around ever since Pres. 47 got his fingers in it. Frankly, I don’t know how deep in the algorithm he got, and I can’t be bothered to find out.

While this won’t be true for everyone, I do believe not having tiktok has been better for me all around, and I urge anyone else who’s been considering redownloading it to think good and hard about the effects (both positive and negative) it can bring.

now that trump has tiktok, twitter, facebook and insta in his pocket, get ready for a massive wave of internet censorship. one of trump's greatest weapons has always been misinformation; it's going to become harder and harder to spread facts and criticism going forward. posts that aren't made invisible will be magically ignored by the algorithm. dissidents will have their accounts deleted and voices erased.

this is a suppression tactic. this is another stage of fascism.

so the first screenshot is trying to look this up on tiktok normally, "donald trump rigged election" and it says that search violates community guidelines.

the second screenshot is looking up the same exact thing, but with a (australian) vpn on. canadian vpn didn't fix it fyi.

THIS is exactly the type of censorship to be looking out for on tiktok. this actually is crazy.

Trump47 thinks TikTok isn't an actual transnational corporation — a business structure specifically adapted to allowing it to function and conduct business across international borders. Best Trump47 can hope for is an outcome like how Russia's levied a judgement against Google for more money than has ever existed in the entire world... Google still exists.

I find it so funny, in light of TikTok’s imminent American demise, that even now they aren’t considering moving to tumblr. The last two social media refugee crises (Twitter -> X and whatever happened with Reddit) prompted a wave of wide-eyed new baffled tumblr users to flood this app and yet last I heard all of the tiktokers are flooding en-masse a Chinese social media app. That is entirely in Mandarin. Instead of moving to tumblr.
