Holding on to this while we’re on a hiatus! Tim really didn’t want that kiss to end. There are real feelings between this “fake” couple and I think Tim is caught off guard by them because I don’t think he expected to feel something so explosive when kissing Lucy the first time since he’s been struggling with his own.

Chapters: 2/2 Fandom: The Rookie (TV 2018)

"That night, while lying in a hospital bed, unable to properly move, Tim had realized that he missed their conversations – hearing her talk with so much enthusiasm, listening to her voice and feeling the compassion in it. He missed her."

This is a two-piece which explores the thought process of Tim and Lucy in 5x06. First chapter is Tim's perspective, while the second is Lucy's. In the first part I make a reference to another fanfiction story I wrote ("The Safety Net" - a conversation between Lopez and Bradford) as in my mind that scene totally happened. There's a flashback to the hospital scene in 5x05 as well. Hope you enjoy!

Heard this song and had to make a video. It just seemed so Lucy/Tim. Loving the angst this season. Fingers crossed they get their happy ending. <3

This is such an interesting moment. We know that Tim spots Chris before Lucy does like our girl has no awareness of her boyfriends close proximity because in this moment it’s only her and Tim. The second Lucy begins to invite Tim to dinner Chris is assessing the situation and when she’s finished asking you can clearly see his demeanor change. In my opinion Chris isn’t as clueless as some people may think and Tim immediately looks at Chris to gauge his reaction and as a cop he’s been trained in the art of body language so he knows Chris doesn’t want him to tag along and so he covers up his true feelings with a lie and a fake smile. Lucy, of course is oblivious to this entire exchange because she’s solely focused on her concern for Tim after his vulnerable confession, not wanting him to deal with the breakup alone.
