I gotta say, this is one of my favourite mugs. the green might turn out more black than expected, it was a mix of a few things and ...who knows. I can't wait for this to get out of the kiln
All of these animations were done in one night. I really love doing the close up animations because I get to really focus on the little details of the hair movement.
I’ve had a few asks in the past about seeing my process, and I expressed interest in sharing it. So this morning, I finally got around to recording a digital piece! I used CSP’s time lapse feature to do this. This entire piece took around 45-ish minutes. I’ll post the actual image later, but here’s the sped up process video for now!
Mild warning for flashing btw. My coloring process, especially sped up, has a few color flashes in it, so heads up about that.
I really love the way the fenkats look in profile. I don’t have a great way to rig the room guardians for full body animation so doing intimate close ups has been a great way to kind of take some short cuts with the animation. Without having to worry so much about the pose, I can focus more on the tiny details like hair and ear movement to convey emotion.
