I love the “especially when they’re wrong.” This is sooooo true but so hard to do! Our natural reaction is to try and teach and correct but it often comes across as judgement and belittlement. If we can allow children to learn how to think for themselves, they will learn their own mind and there is no greater gift. No single fact about life or learning could equal the infinite knowledge one can possess from simply knowing their own mind. A palavra grega eupheus é definida pelo site da Thomas Jefferson Education (TJEd) como:

A busca ativa por conhecimento;

O estado de prontidão para aprender;

Um desejo por aprender, entusiasmo pelo conhecimento, pela compreensão e pela sabedoria.

Achei o conceito do termo grego bastante pertinente, pois nele encontrei descrito o sentimento que nutro pela educação e pelo saber. Quero estar sempre pronta para aprender, não somente no meio acadêmico, mas na vida e nas relações humanas que criamos no seu decorrer.

As experiências de estar em sala de aula e eventualmente ter um momento de protagonismo serão novas para mim, mas gostaria de encará-las “com muito eupheus”. No fim do semestre, após as leituras, as discussões e as trocas dialógicas, acredito que este blog demonstrará meu progresso em práticas que me são desconhecidas neste momento e poderei perceber meu desenvolvimento.

O propósito deste espaço é registrar semanalmente a minha trajetória na disciplina de Práticas de Ensino em Língua Portuguesa I. Quando tal cadeira se encerrar, quero enxergar a docência, a sala de aula, a didática, a língua portuguesa e o papel das alunas e dos alunos em suas complexidades e em suas inconstâncias.

De acordo com outra palavra grega, philekoos, que diz respeito a estar disposto a ouvir e aprender com/sobre o outro, acredito fortemente que as vivências futuras serão essenciais na formação de minha identidade docente.

Posso apenas me esforçar para que eupheus e philekoos sejam conceitos sempre presentes na minha prática.
