Sometimes I think about Jevil and Spamton just communicating with each other and Spamton being frustrated with the way Jevil talks.

Jevil speaks in a round about and confusing manner. Mixing phrases or only using metaphors when it’s be easier to understand if he just said it. Of course Spamton can’t be one to talk due to his own speech patterns but the difference is Jevil intentionally talks like that. I can imagine the frustration at Jevil effectively wasting an ability Spamton no longer has and gleefully at that. That if Jevil wanted he could simply tell everyone what he meant while every conversation with Spam is like deciphering banana grams, even tho he’s the one trying to be clear and concise.

I figure that some of his initial hatred of the clown stems from something subconscious like that.

I know it was a while back but I think it's hilarious you started shipping Shen with Spamton when Shen is Dimentio's brother in your canon and also Jevil and Spamton despise each other. Imagine seeing your brother in law dating the guy that hates your guts/makes your life miserable

Spamton NEO? Like the salesman who after his sales plummeted found out he was living in a simulation and proceeded to fuck with reality? That Spamton Neo?

Dial lore rushed and compiled; I might go back and revise it at some point??? This was very hastily written in like half an hour bear with me 😭

(Tw for mob violence. Nothing too graphic or descriptive, but still pretty bad.)

Initially Dial was just A Guy, some dude who had no good hands dealt to him in life, really. He didn’t have a job or anything, but he eventually found a place in shady markets. Think black market and illegal trade- he did all that and eventually found a standing for himself in it. With being in such a precarious position he learned to become a provocative, smooth-talking guy so that he could either slip into or out of situations as needed. 

His Dark World slightly differs from the canon in that he was actually around before the present Queen! He worked underneath the previous queen’s rule, who was wayyy different from the one that Kris and the gang end up meeting. This also means that he never heard of those kids; anything in the events of Chapter 2 Dial is actually dead (this will be touched upon later.)

Being in a shady place of work marked him as well, a shady guy. His city was bustling, hostile; he had to find a way around and conning and selling illegal things was the way he went around doing his part. He gets enough of a reputation to garner the attention of some folks. Namely TK, who later becomes a sort of time accountant for Dial. She ends up managing the times that trades and other deals take place once Dial’s high enough up on the food chain to warrant some assistance with everything that he was doing.

He wasn’t all bad, even then. Sometimes people who were desperate came to him as a last resort after getting word from other dealers/traders/whatnot. He’d still do his part in making sure that he gave them what he needed in a timely manner. He’s just a conman, not someone who’d go out and like, physically hurt someone just to be a dickhead.

Cue everything else. He meets Gaster, he’s offered a deal. Do what he says, and he’ll make it bigger. Become the wingman, the puppet, and he won’t have to worry about surviving and making a living doing something so low. Honestly it didn’t sound like Dial had much to lose, so he took the deal. All he had to change was listen to someone, let them have a bit of control over him. How bad could it be?

Well, it was bad alright. Mostly left to his own devices, he tempered himself underneath the deal made. This was when the fear tactics really came into play; this was when Dial peaked with inducing his hallucinations onto other people. He could do just about anything with them- make someone see things around them, on them, change how they perceived himself. Mostly he went with an angelic overtone to alter his appearance to them. What was more frightening than being confronted by a mercenary of a higher being, after all? He thrived off of this kind of antic.

Spamton was all on him. Gaster didn’t tell him to do everything. It was Dial who lead him on, made Spamton dependent on him. What he didn’t do, however, was intentionally ditch him. He was planning on it, but Gaster had other plans. He cut Dial off right before everything would fall into place. 

And Dial really didn’t take that well. He was known by then as someone vital to whatever Gaster was up to- he was basically the guy’s second-in-command by then! And he was still in close contact with TK until this point too. When he was cut off he pleaded with Gaster, tried to strike up another deal. Let him stay, and he’ll do anything. He wasn’t useless (and he wasn’t, he just wasn’t needed anymore from Gaster.) This lead to Gaster breaking Dial’s right hand in response to all the offers he tried making. 

Dial goes into hiding for weeks afterwards. Roughly two and a half to three, but hey. You try surviving with nothing for almost a month and a broken wrist that you can’t even move/use. For the first week he spent his time in an empty church. He’d sit and pray and try to make other bets. For him to go back to what he was used to- back to Gaster, back to working with his medium. It was the only time he had faith in a god, and here it was, his prayers falling onto deaf or uncaring ears. The reason he leaves the church at all is because he knows it was ultimately useless to keep praying if nothing would change.

Something changed alright. Turns out while he was gone, Spamton got screwed over by Dial’s sudden disappearance. Without someone to “help” him, his dependency made his sales crash and burn. And when people wondered what happened, Gaster showed up. Fed the public lies. Or at least, exaggerated the truth. Made Dial out to be way worse than what he actually was. Obviously the public wasn’t happy with this, so they began to virtually hunt Dial down. Especially the Addisons- many had gotten close ties with Spamton either through relations or otherwise. 

It took only a week or so for them to find Dial. And they put him through hell. Let’s not get too graphic here, but let’s just say this. Dial was flashbombed before being blinded by having a bag put over his head, and since there was a whole mob after him there was a lot of physical violence. Definitely a few tasers and knives thrown in too. They didn’t even kill him right away- they prolonged his suffering as long as they could because to them, they thought that he was something made purely of sin, and not a huge array of unfortunate circumstances that made him flawed in his own right.

He was bad, and I want to make that clear. Spamton was entirely on him, his actions were (mostly) his own. He was as much a puppet to Gaster as Spamton was to himself, though. So casting him off as something so wholly damnable wouldn’t exactly be appropriate to his character. 

The mob keeps going until they’re very confident they’ve just beat the life out of him. He never ends up returning a final call to Spamton- their final cutoff just happened to be ironically cut short.

Tl;dr:

Dial works as shady conman trading/selling mostly illegal things. He helps desperate people when he can so he isn’t something soulless in it solely for the money. Uses hallucinations/makes people see/hear things for his own benefit or to scare them into accepting whatever he’s offering. Hooks up with Gaster, becomes his peon, puppet, and right-hand man. Climbs higher in status in black market with his only friend TK in tow behind him. Strikes a deal with Spamton, makes him dependent. Plans to screw Spamton over, but Gaster cuts Dial off first because he isn’t needed anymore, Dial tries to make it so that he can stay. He gets his right hand broken and its left unrepaired for the rest of the 2-3 weeks of his life. Goes into hiding, completely isolates himself from the world. Hides in a church the first week. Becomes almost religious but not quite, gives up putting his faith into something so futile. Gaster spreads lies about him to the people, people connect the dots between Spamton and Dial and get mad. They hunt the latter down and find him a week later. Mob immobilizes and neutralizes Dial before quite literally beating the fuck out of him until he dies.

look my mind's been hopping between like 2 different deltarune/something else crossover things for a little while now and i figured i'd at least get one of the ideas out of my head.

so... Psychonauts/Deltarune crossover AU where Raz helps the hidden bosses/citizens of the dark worlds he visits?

i got next to nothing for Jevil's mental world as i feel his would be rather straightforward albeit chaotic as he usually is. but boy do i have stuff for Spamton! since it feels right to do it this way i'm going to put the ideas in separate sections. starting with;

beginning: the situation of Raz meeting Spamton would probably be similar to what happens in Deltarune chapter 2, the way it mostly veers off however is when Raz makes a deal to enter his mental world in exchange of helping with his plans instead of offering his soul. it surprisingly works and he's in. not knowing what stuff lying in there...

the setting: starts off in a phone store/autoshop, but then it expands to a more phone-version of cyber world. there are a lot of interactive phones around as well, with usually...not good voices at the other end of them that are mostly projections of the Addisons and other characters you would've mostly come across at this point. (including a hidden Gaster one because why not)

the boss: mostly what's shown in the concept art, a more fucked up/phone-themed version of Spamton Neo while you go around in circles on a track probably.

the aftermath: uhhhh idk fuck, i assume Spamton feeling a bit better and Raz trying to help him get back in better graces with the Addisons? or something. i really hadn't thought that far ahead oops

anyway, that's all for now, i'm going back into the shadows and waiting for my mind to stop buzzing like a bee with ideas aaa
