just letting you know those kind of friends updated... the last chapter

i know!! i saw!! i was on holiday abroad and literally had to rush into a cafe with decent wifi so i could read this chapter and CURSE THE GODS because of the unbearable angsssst. like, it was a great ending and i loved the FP twist and how everything was tied together and veronica's choices make absolute sense, but i'm still so mad that our girl has to go through this pain again. i know it was necessary but :(((

anyway, gabi will heal us in the sequel, which i am waiting for like it's the second coming 🙏

What’s a scene from one of your WIPs that you’re most excited about? Is there a trope, character interaction, plot point, etc that makes it your favorite?

there's a scene in the seventh year of my hoa hogwarts au (that isn't even published yet, so this'll be vague lmao) where joy and jerome finally have this really intense talk. it comes after a break in the mystery, so there's a lot at stake even if they didn't have a history at this point. there's no trope or specific plot point (out of the many involved in this scene) that makes this so exciting. it's truly just joy and jerome talking and i love it.

there's a scene in sixth year where i’ve written a shit ton of dialogue that i'm proud of, but this is a real dialogue-heavy scene that's not even finished yet that i just love. i normally don't have extremely long, back-and-forth dialogue like this, but it's realistic. it also makes me think of @darwinquark's AMAZING jeronica fic those kind of friends. she crafts the most realistic, back-and-forth dialogue i have ever seen period. so i'm proud of this reminding me of anything even remotely similar to her fics.

overall, they say everything they've been holding in. they talk about similar trauma, how to trust each other, this one instance they've been avoiding for a really long time, and character study-esque snippets. i love it.

Latin Rumble #1

Luis es el personaje masculino mexicano emblemático en mi universo conceptual, un tributo a los juegos arcade de los 90's como MK y TKOF que marcó mi infancia. Su papel va más allá de la lucha en el juego, pues representa mi respuesta a la polémica de Disney. Tras buscar una auténtica representación hispana en los medios y hallar estigmas y prejuicios, nació "Latín Rumble". Este proyecto es mi manera de conectar con nuestros hermanos latinoamericanos y romper con los estereotipos, ofreciendo una plataforma inclusiva y genuina que celebra la diversidad y la cultura de nuestra región.

Sin nada más por agregar, les presentaré a este personaje como lo haría una compañía de videojuegos.

Luis es un personaje fusionado entre la esencia de los samuráis urbanos en Japón y el espíritu trabajador y versátil del pueblo mexicano. Como samurái urbano, lleva consigo la disciplina y la destreza en el combate de los guerreros japoneses. Pero también es un reflejo de los mexicanos que, al igual que Luis, desempeñan varios oficios a la vez, luchando incansablemente por lo que creen y manteniendo vivas las tradiciones culturales.

Mecánicas de Luis:

- Luis utiliza su tubo espada con maestría, realizando rápidos ataques cuerpo a cuerpo que reflejan la precisión de un samurái.

Eh estado escuchando de nuevo los temas de StrIVe y he notado que en varios de los Ost de los "OG" hay escondidos fragmentos o notas de sus respectivos temas del 1er GG...

De los que más me acuerdo son The Roar of the Spark (que tiene por lo menos 3 partes que hacen homenaje a Holy Order - Be Just or Be Dead), El de Sin (que tiene fragmentos de Awe of She and HO - BJoBD), el de Testament (que tiene riffs de A Fixed Idea)...

Tienes la lista de TODAS las referencias?

Otra cosa que he notado con tristeza/ironía es que mientras tú estás algo más cerca de aliviar tu relación con los FG de CAPCOM, yo estoy que no aguanto mi sal 😂🤣😂🥲😥😢🥺😭 y no parece que vaya a entrarle a SF 6 pronto (espero el rollback de TKoF 13 esté muy bueno para la versión de PS4) y aún me falta comprar el samsho, pasea de StrIVe, la TKoF 15 y muy posiblemente, las TKoF 98 UM y 2002 UM de PS4.

Va a pasar un tiempo antes de que analice por completo todas las canciones de Guilty Gear Strive… ¡especialmente ahora que sabemos que la lista está entrando en una tercera temporada!

(También ten paciencia conmigo, no soy un experto en notas musicales, así que lo guardaría para otros expertos en música si me preguntas).

Con respecto a Street Fighter 6, todavía estoy un poco preocupado, principalmente por el precio del contenido principal, que es de aproximadamente 100 dólares o más, para el cual no tengo dinero.

Preferiría invertir en los nuevos colores de Guilty Gear Strive en este punto, pero veremos cómo va.

Otros dos juegos de lucha en los que todavía no he invertido son Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising, DNF Duel, sin mencionar los rumores sobre Under Night In-Birth Sistema Celeste.

También tengo mis ojos puestos en Final Fantasy XVI, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth y un puñado de otros juegos que aún no he terminado de jugar en mi PC QUE AÚN DEBEN ARREGLARSE… UGH.

Bueno, de todos modos, entiendes el punto, estaría dispuesto a cualquier apoyo financiero que los lectores quieran dar en mi Patreon… Sería un gran avance para agregar más contenido de video de mi lado para empezar… pero podría hacer otras cosas relacionadas con Guilty Gear también.

It's going to be a while yet before I fully analyze all the songs from Guilty Gear Strive… especially now that we know the roster is entering a 3rd season!!!

(Also bear with me, I'm not a music notes expert, so I'd save that for other music experts if you ask me.)

Regarding Street Fighter 6, I'm still somewhat apprehensive, mostly at the main content price which is roughly 100 dollars or more, which I don't have the money for.

I would sooner invest in the new colors for Guilty Gear Strive at this point, but we'll see how that goes.

Two other fighting games I still haven't invested in are Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising, DNF Duel, not to mention the rumors regarding Under Night In-Birth Sistema Celeste.

I also have my eyes on Final Fantasy XVI, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and a handful of other games I still haven't finished playing on my PC THAT STILL NEEDS TO GET FIXED…. UGH.

Well anyway, you get the point, I'd be up for any financial support readers want to give on my Patreon… It'd go a long way towards adding more video content on my end for starters… but I might do other stuff that's Guilty Gear related as well.
