Ok fuck it you know something I've never really quite understood about part of the Leftist vs Liberals debate on voting.
So so so many people act like its either-or. Like you're either dedicating your entire life to voting and promoting politicians and phone banking or whatever, or you're a True Rebel waiting for The Uprising to Come and Solve Everything.
But like. In my experience. Me voting is just me kinda go 'which person seems kinda good? Which one at least sucks the least? ok lemme go vote.' and then its anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour tops of my life. And I still have plenty of time to do Stuff and participate in Conversations about Other Important Things. And also you can admit and acknowledge and understand that the system As Is kinda sorta really sucks ass, but also still admit and acknowledge and understand that at this current point in time we are still living in the suckass system and do something to alleviate the suckass At Least A Little while also working to bolster/create/advocate for Other Systems.
I guess just like. it's not a black or white thing. Between 'top 500 volunteers for a specific politician/voting office/etc' and 'absolutely positively not voting at all' there is a gray area called 'vote and then just do other stuff'.

Idk if you already went into this and I missed it,(I dont think ive seen everything youve posted about it yet fhjddj) but what's Sapnap doing here?
Like-- theyre in Kinoko, so ofc he's there, but how'd he initially react to seeing Dream? Did he try to kill him before George got in the way? What changed to make Dream actually open up to him- assuming he does at all lol
ooookay I am not going to go into full detail because!!! there will be a full comic about this someday. I promise I am working on it but the comic just got a lot longer than I anticipated.
but in short, it was George that found Dream before Sapnap could get in the way. and as Dream will say later on in the au, "you love George more than you hate me", so when faced with the option to either fulfill his promise and go through George OR listen to George and help Dream, he chose the latter option, which he still feels like might have been a mistake. simply because George still loves Dream (interpret this however you please) and Sapnap cares about George far too much to actually go with his promise.
the trust between Dream and Sapnap is a slow burn. it starts with arguments and definitely gets worse before it gets better, Dream pushing buttons just to see how far he can go before he gets burnt (pun intended). there are certain things that Sapnap learns that are hard to fake - like the nightmares and the overall ptsd from prison, along with the scars and the brands all over Dream's body. George and Sapnap learn about a lot of these things together when Dream slips up, when he's purposely trying to provoke and goes too far or when he's too angry to really watch himself. or during rare moments of honesty when Dream just really wants to act like they are friends again, however rare those may be. once the two do show the change though, and see enough of the damage done, Dream tells them a little more of the full picture rather than have them pierce things together from what he said as he sleeptalked or a particular trigger that made him break down (like scissors and shears. he's really bad at handling those.)

Just read Dark Crisis: Young Justice 1 and 2 and my thoughts on all the Cissie King-Jones Disc Horse I saw floating around last night are:
Cassie is so obviously in her own alt world and that is so obviously a fake Cissie it’s not even funny. Practically every panel we see of Cassie she is begging someone for help finding the boys and they are rejecting her out of hand. Including Cissie.
To recap, in 1 + 2, Cissie:
After the boys go missing right in front of her eyes, goes and sits outside instead even pretending to help Cassie search.
She then makes an outrageous comment about their “fake dads” (even though Cassie just got done monolouging about how WW was “more than a mentor” to her, so Fitzmartian clearly knows how fcking out of pocket that is and I can’t help but think it was meant to be an intentional contrast.)
She then tells Cassie that the boys are “always fine” so she shouldn’t even bother looking and then leaves her. Reminder that moments before this interaction Cissie was worrying over if Cassie was ok because she looked kind of mad. Does this new Cissie sound like a someone who cares about her friends’ emotions?
Cassie then spends the next couple days going to every hero she knows for help and getting turned away, until she finally turns back to Cissie
Cissie tells Cassie she should be worrying more about the justice league than her missing friends and precedes to try and slander them, saying that they were never actually nice to her or anyone else, and implying that Cassie being such close friends with them is the reason that her and Cissie grew apart.
After this speech doesn’t get through to Cassie, she agrees to help her and then proceeds to let Red Volcano beat the shit out of Cassie while she does nothing to help
I understand that actual Cissie got literally three lines of dialogue (while she was quite literally in the background) and so Cissie fans are nervous that this is just a character assassination, but I think it’s ok to have the barest amount of faith that there is indeed a plot going on in this comic book. In my eyes, this is very clearly the case of some malicious entity, in control of everyone in this version of reality, desperately trying to get Cassie to stop searching for her friends. (It’s kinda a shit entity tbh, considering neither Bart or Cassie are really fooled for a second).
Also disclaimer: I’ve never read any of the YJ books. I would not be able to recognize Properly Characterized Cissie King-Jones if she slapped me with a fish. But I can recognize a lying bitch! I’m very confident in that.
