I wanted to put together a rec list of Harry/Tom fics with a core focus on horcruxes outside of Diary Tom (the most popular horcrux) and Voldemort himself. Please enjoy these 22 fics that feature one of Tom's horcruxes and their special relationship with Harry.

There’s a ton of interesting variation that can be explored within a Harry and horcrux Tom ship — from where the horcruxes are located and when Harry can conceivably meet them in canon (for example, the Cup horcrux is harder to access than the others); to what age they were made by Voldemort and how that would shape their personalities and interactions with Harry; to the different magical properties that they might embody, depending on the vessel that was chosen.

Finally, it looks like Scarcrux and Locket are the most popular choices (after Diary Tom), and we absolutely need more Cup horcrux fics!

No one can deny that Tomarry has some of the most beautiful fics in the Harry Potter fandom. Say what you want about how “it will never work” ITS FANFIC THATS THE WHOLE POINT.

But some of these fics make you believe that no matter who they are to each other they’re meant to be. These fics have me feeling *all* the feelings.

Tomarry/Harrymort would always be the best flavour of enemies to lover for me. Like after reading them and their dynamic— I just feel like no one could compare (for me). It's their everything and how they could be everything; for each other; together — from salvation to destruction, from devotion to corruption — from enemies to lovers to practically attached souls; I don't where I start or where he begins. They are soulmates fated to be enemies — and how in fanfics we can explore the idea of what if they got the chance to be more. And I think that is beautiful.

Some people think tomarrymort isn't really enemies to lover but prey x predator?????? And basically young Tom will never noticed Harry because he is basic apparently and "just a guy". I wholeheartedly disagree but I want to know what you think?

(ps: it's just how some people treat harry in tomarry fandom is making me sad.)

I think anyone who looks at Harry and ever considers him prey has grossly misunderstood his character and how utterly terrifying he is, was, can, and will always be to Tom in particular.

Don't get me wrong, the power imbalance and gap in skills can be compelling to play with, but Harry was made a threat to Tom by Fate.

Tom himself dictated that this boy would be his equal, and any equal to Voldemort could never be considered anything less than another predator.
