This might be controversial to some, but you cannot "tough love" your way to preventing suicide. You cannot have the attitude that people who complete suicide are selfish or are ungrateful or immature. If your mindset about suicide isn't coming from compassion rather than judgment, it won't help suicidal people. Re: the latest helluva boss short, i REFUSE to believe that blitzø is bad in the sack. i just refuse that notion all together. i do believe he has zero technique whatsoever though, because he relies heavily on confidence and on his excellent capability of reading people.

See, thats all you need to be a sex god imo. If youre skilled enough at reading peoples reactions properly, you dont need technique because you dont need generalisation, you figure out what that SPECIFIC person likes. and that makes you invaluable to their eyes. i do believe two things, one is that blitzø enjoys cracking open that mistery and exploring what makes someone tick, two is that he is extremely observant and good at reading people/situations (exes and oohs is a great example of this, both in how he clocked the drugged drink right away and how he slept with chaz to get info), aside from also being quite versatile, handy and extremely adaptable.

Third thing i believe is that blitz is also DEFINITELY all over the place, so sometimes he may also be bad at sex because he can also be selfish and self centered, so he may not care enough to pay attention to the other person at times. But he has the capability to be great in bed is all im saying.

So what i believe happens in the short is, first of all as other people have said he has some complicated feelings about this crystal. Because of course. So maybe he doesnt even feel like pleasuring a stupid crystal when he should be pleasuring stolas, thank you very much!! People on this site have been talking for YEARS about how formulaic and overdone romance tropes in media are and yet it has just become increasingly clear that when people ask for different romantic arcs, they do not in fact mean "a wide array of types of relationships and love stories about characters with varying sexualities, genders, and cultural worldviews on the subject, across genres and formats" and instead mean "the exact same romantic beats, delivered upfront without any tension, but with two cis white men or perhaps, every once in a while, women."

And I do think there should be plenty of options for "cheesy romcoms but gay" which is basically the genre described, but I also want so many other genres and stories about relationships that are queer in every way possible under the sun.

netflix atla thoughts/predictions

Okay it's been several days since the teaser dropped. I was pretty pleased with the visuals overall but let's hope they don't drop the ball with the writing lmao.

1. If netflix is smart and serious about wanting this to be their new strange3 things/game of thrones/whatever the fuck, then someone must've brought up the idea of splitting the seasons in half. If they want to milk this cash cow for as long as possible then i could easily see them splitting either book 2 or 3 (or both) in half. That'd leave us with 4-5 seasons of live-action atla. They'd be planning for half a decade or more of new content.

2. not a huge fan of the costumes thus far but i'm sure i'll get used to it. Lots of times these things just look better in motion on screen (but sometimes you also wonder if the costume designer hates the actors lmaoo)

3. Every person insulting the actors' appearances, calling them ugly or saying they look too "innocent" are gonna look like clowns after the series comes out, i guarantee it. We've seen this happen since time immemorial..

4. Hope they use some creative thinking with regards to certain things. I don't actually want a copypaste of everything. It's an adaptation so i hope they use their imagination and hopefully create their own new and wonderful stuff and add to the lore in a cool way.
