as with most of the playlists i make, some songs are readily applicable, some just have the right Vibe, some are sorta funny... and in yuichi's case, there's a lot of a rain theme going on lol

(also, some are ones from my own tourabu mood playlist that i just had to bring over)

because i've always wanted to do this i'm gonna go through all the songs and maybe explain why i put it there or something?? yolo! playlist guide under the cut lol

i recommend having this going while you listen!

Dreamcatcher - Full Moon this is a song from dc to their fans on their first anniversary lol, so the themes of a somewhat-new bond are pretty relevant!

Seventeen- Campfire do i even need to explain? sobs this song makes my heart warm ... just thinking about yuichi & all the toudans sitting around a campfire having *sniffles* precious moments... ; A;

Rihanna - Umbrella LMAO this one is very on-the-nose but also just thinking about it's hilarious, i couldn't resist. (plus like... it's a jam. also lyrically it actually does fit!)

Dreamcatcher - Boca be prepared to see a lot of dreamcatcher w/me, they're my Favorite(TM). anyway Boca is about protecting someone from harsh words (better translation is "if those thornlike words / start to hurt you / i won't let them open that boca (mouth)") AND has a very rainy/stormy atmosphere which makes it perfect. yes i know my toudans are Sword Warriors yes i still want to protect them as best i can!! (it's more about like. bullying and hate but yknow. similar sentiments...shhh...)

The Weather Girls - It's Raining Men ...............i don't think i need to explain myself on this >.> (THO HAHA IMAGINE IF THIS WAS HOW SWORDS MANIFESTED IN HIS HONMARU i'm dead)

ToppDogg -Annie (Anniversary) another 'anniversary' type song, i think it speaks for itself. saniwa💙toudans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Clean Bandit - Rather Be lyrically, yes!! being a saniwa is not an easy or peaceful job by any means but yuichi wouldn't want to be anywhere else <3 also the song makes me think of rainy/cool moist days!

Seventeen - Home seventeen shows up a decent amount too, but what can i say? the songs fit lol. saniwa-toudan relationships might not always be 100% sunshine and rainbows, but... they are home, no?

Twice - Feel Special GOD. this song came out while i was very into tkrb a few years ago and so that plus the song itself made me actually cry when i first watched it lol. it's so fitting though, i think from toudan or yuichi's perspective. for yuichi, he clearly struggles with his self-worth, and is...well, he's no stranger to a breakdown. but ... he's got so many touken danshi around him who love him

Girls' Generation - Talk Talk no explanation needed methinks! <3 just comparing a love to the rain

SF9 - The Beat Goes On okay this song is just like... pure beach episode, everyone gathering in the sunset and having a great time being free with each other. i include it on so many playlists where i just want to imagine a joyful time with the whole cast of whatever, it just has to go here too, even if you'd be hard-pressed to get yuichi on a beach lol

Yuju - Play this is just strictly for the vibes. i don't know that yuichi has someone who dipped and hurt him like that (but it could be interesting i guess lol). the song just is perfect for the rainy atmosphere

Dreamcatcher - Piri i told u prepare for dreamcatcher lol. anyway this song is literally about like... depression and getting to a point where you need a lifeline. very yuichi, unfortunately

New Politics - One of Us another "do i even need to explain?" song ;u; it's definitely on my tkrb playlist lol. also the lyric video is kinda fun lol imagining it as different toudans at the table

Gfriend - Summer Rain just very nice rainy vibes.

Super Junior - Why I Like You this song (the whole album really) has always given me rainy/humid vibes. but also... love <3 (ofc not necessarily romantic in yuichi's case! but yknow what i mean)

Flo Rida - My House almost a joke addition but like... also almost not a joke LOL

David Cook - Come Back to Me okay this song is tkrb playlist because it's like... 100% kiwame send-off vibes. i initially added it after watching hanamaru, thinking about kashuu sending off yasusada, but i think it also suits most sendoffs very well. i wanna cry. sobs....

SF9 - RPM So I don't have a good reason for adding this to yuichi's or my tkrb playlist other than it makes me think of using time travel to go on a mission. also i just REALLY like the song... and listening to it with the rain going is mmmwah *chef kiss*. just imagine a team going up to the [time travel device] all ready to fucking GO, looking all badass in the mist and shit. and then PPEPWWW they go! and now they're ready to fuck shit up (to un-fuck the timeline)... it's the VIBES AGAIN

Darren Hayes - Bloodstained Heart no words needed <3

Dreamcatcher - Over the Sky another anniversary fan song from dc! this song just makes me so happy and like. energized. spring time. anime conventions. so it's on my tkrb playlist, but it's also a sweet and fun song so, yknow, puts it on.

Ravi - Lean on Me is this yuichi talking to a toudan? or a toudan talking to yuichi? or ? who knows, but either way, i like it. sweet and reliable.

Seventeen - Thanks just... a song about being so grateful to know and love someone.

Major Lazer - Cold Water (the one song with justin bieber i listen to unironically lol)

Seventeen - Holiday oh man just LISTEN to it, even without the lyrics it's just like. fun!! party!! chill!!

SF9 - Bibora a jam. a rainy jam. but also maybe some parts of it speak to yuichi.

Dreamcatcher - Reason yet another anniversary song from deukae but it fits. through all the triumphs and hardships, despair and joy, the toudans in this citadel have become his whole reason for being and they inspire him to keep going and do better and be someone they can depend on and be proud to call their saniwa.

Sanggyun stared at the wreckage of her room; everything was either destroyed or gone. She was gone for so long and no one knew where she had gone about. He paced around the bedroom searching for anything that would provide him a clue to where she was or how she went missing. There was a final thought that entered his mind that she probably wasn’t missing and that she herself was gone–left to remain unknown or her favorite, a mystery.

He noticed as he roamed around the place there were strings above him attached to the walls. There were three colors: red, orange and yellow.

“Autumn. It’s orange, yellow, then red.” She explained pointing at the three trees. He objected, “But the leaves turn from red, orange, to yellow.”

“Exactly,” she said, “but Koyo states otherwise.”

“Orange symbolizes the girl, yellow for the Gingko tree, and red is the blood that got drained with the water.” She explained to him with a sad smile, “There was another color after those three.”

“What was it?” He questioned whilst walking towards their school. She answered after a brief pause, “Gray for her lover.”

Brushing his finger over the string, he pulled them by order and in result the book fell to the bed. It had a small map and a few sticky notes inside seeming as if they served as memoirs. He slumped down on the bed and opened the book to read the notes.

The first note was simple, it was the ending setting of the novel.

He left the room with the book after one last search, thus he packed up a few snacks, money, the book with the map, and other things he would need to find her. The streets were almost empty when he left to the train station. He noticed, no one else seemed to care about her sudden disappearance.

“It’s the same one.”

“But it was based in Japan.” He said recalling the setting of the story. He let the people leave first before entering the train.

She muttered, “It doesn’t matter where the story took place in, they met here again.”

“She stood there,” she pointed after the line then after she pointed at his spot, “then she went here as he left–he barely took a glimpse at her, but when he saw her he knew everything would pass.”

“Is it titled Koyo, because Autumn was about to pass?”

“No, because the author hated Winter and knew that the relationship of the two was made to be tragic due to that.”

He was heading to the temple where you had left another clue. He flipped to the next note and read it twice to fully comprehend what you wrote, but it didn’t seem to make sense.

Out of the ordinary, he noticed an incense with something written on it.

‘There’ll be a different you and me, and we’ll meet but we’ll eventually part.’

It was another place where the ending unfolded, a place behind the temple. He remembered, they skipped class that day to attend the festival and watch the fireworks. The same spot where she told him about her feelings and he wasn’t able to respond.

“Maybe like really isn’t the term to be used,” she laughed, “but I have this feeling about you that I loathe, but can’t shake off.”

He didn’t have anything to say, he just couldn’t look her straight in the eyes and tell her that it was all right–that he completely understood it. He felt defeated when she averted her gaze and said, “But I brought you here and it’s tragic.”

“You shouldn’t have.” Was all he could manage to say. She replied sadly, “I know.”

He simply stared at the spot where she had left him all alone and went back home. He knew she was crying, but he also knew she didn’t need him at that moment. Sanggyun sat down on the flat stone with the book in his arms, he silently watched as the leaves started falling one by one.

Like that, he’d let her remain a mystery to be solved by someone more deserving of her.

“Sanggyun,” he heard from afar. He almost broke down from her voice as he held tightly on the book in his hand. When she took a step to get closer to him, he finally looked at her.

His heart was with her everywhere she went, but he couldn’t manage to tell her. He held the book that had her soul imprinted on it, if she was gone he’d have a bit of her heart from keeping the book. He realized slowly that the book he had been holding for so long was exactly how deep their connection was.

“I found you,” he whispered rather inaudibly just to himself.

He pulled her close to him where he could feel her heart beating against his chest. He repeated, “I finally found you.”

Sometimes he would get so into a project that he wouldn’t see you all week

At some point you would learn to know better and just visit him at work

Any other fights were about petty things

Imagine you’re sitting on a park bench, spending your time watching the events around you. Looking to your right, you notice a photo shoot taking place not too far from you. You inch closer, out of curiosity, and watch as a blond man with puppy-like eyes is photographed. He seems to notice your face among the small gathering of people, meeting your eyes occasionally and holding a curious stare. There is a short break, allowing for a moment’s rest and the fixing of makeup. During this, you see the man talking amongst the staff, looking back in your direction and in one instance pointing at you. Thinking nothing of it, you just continued to observe the events around you. However, you soon find yourself in the center of the circle, cameras suddenly pointed at you and the man approaching you with a bright smile on his face.

“Hi,” is his bright greeting. “Would you mind taking some pictures with me?”

You pause, taken aback by this sudden request. Sure, he was beautiful and seemed fine, but still it was an odd thing to ask someone you didn’t know. Despite you’re not yet giving an answer, a few of the cameras were firing off anyways, capturing this moment. Finally, you found your voice, the only sound leaving you a question, “Why?”

If possible, an even brighter smile lit his face. “Because I saw you watching and you’re pretty~” He chirped.

Internally, you gaped, surprised at the brutal honesty of his statement. Then your logical side sprouted up, “But, I don’t even know your name…”

Once again, a sunshiney reply from him, “Kim Byungjoo, nice to meet you~”

You took his extended hand, lightly, unsure of how someone could be so chipper. “Y/N.”

He held your hand, an eager smile still lighting his face. “So will you?”

It was hard to refuse someone who seemed so...positive. You accepted hesitantly, and thusly the shoot resumed, with you removed from your spot as an observer and being one of the subjects. The air grew more comfortable as the shoot proceeded, childish jokes ensuing from your new partner. Suddenly, your day wasn’t so boring.
