150 g granulated sugar 🍚

Plums:

6-8 ripe plums, halved and pitted 🍑

Topping:

2 tbsp granulated sugar 🍚

1 tsp ground cinnamon 🌿

30 g sliced almonds (optional) 🌰

Prepare the Oven and Pan:

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). 🌡️

Grease a 23 cm (9-inch) springform or round cake pan, and line the bottom with parchment paper. 🧈📄

Mix the Dry Ingredients:

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. 🌾🥄🧂

Cream the Butter and Sugar:

In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. 🧈🍚

Add Eggs and Vanilla:

Beat in the eggs, one at a time. 🥚🥚

Add the vanilla extract and mix well. 🍦

Incorporate the Dry Ingredients and Milk:

Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter-sugar mixture, alternating with the milk. Begin and end with the flour mixture. 🌾🥛

Mix until just combined.

Assemble the Cake:
