I suppose I'm carrying on my trend of Ianto centric posts, with TWM #1's The Legacy Of Torchwood One.
I remember when this came out. It was so cool seeing a little bit more of Ianto's Torchwood One past. With all of the Big Finish releases, it's all but been retconned out of canon, but it's still a good little piece.
Also interesting to note, the story seems to be set during season two but the layout of Jack's office and the walkways around the watertower are the season one layout.
obviously this is a behind the scenes shot and not something that was actually taken in universe but could you imagine jack trying to keep tabs on sightings of the doctor one day and he spits his coffee out after seeing a picture online of tosh causally posing with him next to some fuckinf creature (whilst she also has a bleeding head wound)
listen to me. donna noble would fit so much better with torchwood. torchwood three. think abt it. imagine her with them. imagine her and jack. the banter. imagine her with ianto THE GOSSIP!!! putting owen in his place her new skinny guy. she would give tosh the world. she and gwen would butt heads but then be besties. please. see the vision
not enough people are torchwood fans in 2023. like, if this shit was airing now instead of like sixteen years ago then tumblr gays would be eating this shit up. if the big finish stuff was more easily available, people would probably also be eating it up. janto and jyler would be a ship war (a heavily to one side ship war, but a ship war nonetheless). the colchester-price fans would be happily eating popcorn at the side. everyone would be an orr and tosh fan. gwen and yvonne would be tumblr sexywomen. there'd be people picking out everything burn gorman has ever been in. there would be essays about why ng should/shouldn't be hated. andy davidson would still be lurking in the background. myfanwy would have more canon appearances.
It's so cool that the entire Torchwood staff is poly and in love with each other and are simultaneously cheating on everyone in the polycule with the rest of the polycule and sometimes strangers.
A post about Ianto's s2 wardrobe reminded me of these wardrobe breakdowns from Torchwood Magazine. I can't recall if they ever did a more detailed look at wardrobe, I'll have to have another flick through my magazines.
Back in the day I used to contribute to a blog that tracked down where individual items were purchased from, it was such good fun.
