Really, those who have been here for any amount of time probably know but Mortem is Kaze's first and only ship but neither of us went into it thinking those two chucklefucks would catch feels in that way. In hindsight it makes complete sense, but here's the deal: don't begin your journey with this character solely to ship. It won't work that way - shipping needs chemistry first and foremost and female OC muses are already dealing with many users who go in with only the intent to write romance/smut and largely ignore what makes the character so compelling and unique in the first place.]

[NOW, to take a break from gushing about the best soup to ever soup and give due spotlight to others who 100% deserve it - keep in mind this is based on my interactions with them, as in, I am unlikely to shout out people I haven't written with or otherwise interacted with enough!! This is in no way personal, but rather a natural consequence since there are SO many amazing people and muses on tumblr. 😄]

@halfkuma and @knightshonour . Those two started out as iterations on the same character and evolved into separate people: also feature a healthy dose of secondary OCs and some canons. Rowan is a character I've fallen in love with (figure of speech) very easily since, well, I do happen to enjoy gloomy, doomed by the narrative warriors, and Soulsborne, very much. Halfkuma is a blog based around the Touhou universe with the mains, Roan and Touri, being bear yokai. (Half and full respectively). Furthermore, Slap himself is one of the chillest beans on here and is always a pleasure to talk to and meme with.

@hriobzagelthewanderer !!! Because how could I NOT. Kov is amazing and so is his muse. I was so surprised to see a figure from Polish (and generally Slavic + Germanic) folklore, that I essentially grew up reading about, transformed and adapted into an amazingly crafted muse. Hriob Zagel combines various mythologies + popular media inspirations into one giant (pun intended) goofball who is an absolute delight to see on my dash.

Aaand last but not least (for now!) Though I haven't interacted with her personally just yet, @hexenjagd . Obligatory shoutout to a dark fantasy/Elden Ring-based female OC with some of the most intricate yet well-flowing backstory I've seen on the site. Helena, the Witch-Knight, a person branded by the touch of Death and everything it entails within the setting. Definitely grimdark and macabre in all the right ways and I am here for it. 😎

okay look it isn’t touhou so i don’t actually want any of you to read it but i DO want you guys to read this. like this tumblr post. i have a story as to why i chose to write home fanfiction and you do not need to know what home is to understand it

so if you’ve read a single of my recent posts, you’d know how obsessed i am with home. 2014 off fangame with a dead creator, that’s the one.

i randomly decided to check if it had any fanfiction on ao3 considering how niche it was.

it had three! they were as follows:

1) 250 words of awful writing describing three characters (two of which are brothers, all three of which are feral cats) engaging in a threesome

2) 25,000 words of… something spanish. i dunno.

3) 400 words of the judge (one of those cats also featured in that first work) raping the reader. also the reader is underage from what i can tell from the tags (look man i’m not reading it to find out) also written by same guy as #1

not great, right?

anyways it kind of bummed me out to see this but i took it as a GOLDEN opportunity. i could be the first man to ever write a good home fic. so i did!

i specifically wrote this because of a man who does not yet exist.

what do i mean by that?

maybe in a month, or in a year, or whatever amount of time, there’s gonna be a guy who gets just as obsessed with home as i was. absolute infatuation. they’re gonna play through the game, and love it. then they’ll check ao3 to see if home has any fanfiction.

i do not want this person to see the three things i did. i want there to be at least one nice little story for them to read, so they’re not disappointed like i was.

i want them to see the other three, but be happy there’s at least one good one out there. they’ll read mine and smile because it’s not weird incest pedo smut. because it’s PEAK.

i am doing it for that guy. that guy who doesn’t yet exist.

Horror Themed Munday Asks

I already answered my least favorite, so I'm gonna answer my favorites.

Number One: Vampires.

Look, you know it. I know it. I'm blatantly guilty of loving vampires. Why? They're sexy? I mean, yeah. It doesn't help that a lot of vampire media is meant to condemn sexuality or showcase it. Also, just saying that we need more lesbian vampires in media. Like, actually. I'm starving over here. Why do you think I'm writing this blog? I have to do everything myself.

Number Two: Kaiju.

And now for something radically different. I fucking love giant monsters. I love watching them stomp around and destroy shit. It definitely can be horrifying depending on how it's presented, but most of the time it's just fun. Fuck. Watch Godzilla Final Wars. Do it.

Number Three: Urban/Suburban Gothic

You know what I love? I love it when traditional horror stuff like vampires, magic and demons are put in a setting of normal human society. Like, going to a college that's mega haunted and weird. Or just trying to go to your 9-5 and having to make it home before dark bc there are rumors of werewolves. Or witches trying to juggle living normal lives and practicing their magical culture. This type of stuff is usually seen on American TV shows like Wednesday or Sabrina, and I love it.

Number 4: Gothic Horror

This was going to be Number 5, but I switched it and 4 around for the sake of people who don't wanna hear about the last one. Anyway, I just really love Gothic aesthetics dude. Castles, chapels, gargoyles, stained glass windows... That's all the good shit. That type of aesthetic just has a regal dark beauty to it, which can also be complimented with the grotesqueness of demons or whatever other monsters or taboo concepts that someone wants to introduce to the setting.

Number Five: Erotic Horror (NSFW)

*cough* I mean is this really a surprise? If you've seen some of the smut I've written then it shouldn't be. This is especially important to me when writing for a series like Touhou because I like to have the constant reminder that these women are monsters who are not going to act like normal humans during sex. The appeal of Erotic Horror is the dangers of being made vulnerable in front of a creature or person who is either supernatural, dangerous, or both. Horror is all about the thrill, after all. Anyway yeah, I'm not really a hentai person like at all. Erotic Horror is my preferred way to write smut.

One of the unfortunate things about, well, smut fanfic in general, but also Touhou smut, is that so much of it is uninterested in the ways in which the deeply deranged characters of Touhou would have sex or sex-adjacent things with each other. Even if you don't do anything outre with magical powers, at least recognize that you're not gonna domme Yukari Yakumo, even if you're topping.

For the sake of being short and sweet, let's get some details here! I focus on fanfiction and will also write smut. I will write almost anything in these categories, but here are some certain guidelines.

My fandoms I have familiarity with and actively have interest in are Touhou Project, Homestuck, Hollow Knight, Final Fantasy XIV, OMORI, and Night in the Woods. I will be able to write these without research due to my amount of exposure. If you want something featuring characters that are not in this list, I will research the character and setting/gameplay if applicable, so that I may write adequately. If you want OCs, I will need to ask questions to make sure I have an accurate grasp of your character's background and personality! I would like to be accurate, and make you happy with your character's portrayal. I will write smut, even fetishes that I do not have! I do not judge or kinkshame in the slightest, as I believe in the freedom of sexual expression through fictional text, and I enjoy helping people fulfill their interests! Woo-hoo, pro-kink!!! However, I will not write pornography or otherwise explicit content for those who are under 18. I will ask a few questions to verify your age upon the request of smut, check your profile, etc. Upon request, I am more than happy to show you work in progress versions of your requested story, so you can provide suggestions or simply see that I am making progress. With 27k words and 6 chapters, this is my longest piece. I consider this piece to be Tier 1, that while one chapter features an ending that implies sex, it does not show any smut. Note that if you are a minor, I will not even include hints of sex. A long smut piece, Jade Vacillation. This is an incest piece with a lot of mood setting and foreplay.
