So uh I dug up this old-ish fanart I did of Yada from Ojamajo Doremi, so I’m sharing it here because why not

I’ve translated some Precure interviews from the 20th Anniversary Character Chronicle! This post is dedicated to Go! Princess Precure. Information under cut😊 (Note: I am not a professional translator! There will/may be some errors, but I tried my best!)

1.“The princess motif was decided from the start of production. There was a decision made for “keys and perfume” as the item, so I utilized those as starting points. While her hair and face were easily decided on, we struggled to agree on what Flora’s costume would be like.” (Next quote) “We aimed for a more Western Aristocrat feel for her hair. She is an easily comprehendible princess. The gradient in the back of the hair was an unusual approach we took.”

2.“Many adjustments were made to Flora’s initial costume. Our main idea for her was Western Princesses, and her Mode Elegant dress is set to reflect that. She adores flowers, so we set out to design a dress similar to that."

3.“Since she is a princess, her heels are a bit high. Yet, they are still low in order to compensate for the action. There were initially 5 concept ideas for Flora. Most were dress and hairstyle ideas, but we ended up reaching this decision.

4.“We asked Yu Shimamura (Flora’s VA) for words of inspiration as Flora. She stated, “Dreams cannot be erased. As long as there is despair, dreams will continue to shine forever and ever.” Shimamura-san states she adores Flora’s fashion sense! The skirt shape is short, yet noble.”

1.”Mermaid, along with Flora, had a well-defined starting point as well. Her theme color is blue with a mermaid motif. The focus of her outfit is the details, and we were very particular about the shade of pink we selected.” (Next Quote) “Originally, we were going to mesh the bangs together rather than having them be braided. However, by popular demand, we left the style alone.”

2.“Her hair is inspired by water/the ocean! We gave her a special design for the highlights to remind viewers of the sea. Her skirt is a combination of a mini skirt and an accessory to match “tail fins”.”

3.“Her boots are white and contain blue scallops at the top. Precure boots are very defining features, so we had to make hers fit the design, but be new as possible (at the time). We had to be concise of tight lines, befitting the term “Mermaid”, so many changes were needed to ensure girls would see her as cute.”

4.”We asked Masumi Asano (Mermaid’s VA) for words of inspiration as Mermaid. She stated, “That’s one thing I cannot decide! Minami has many good qualities about herself, and her motivation to push forward is what makes me want to portray her to stand out more.” Asano-san believes that Mermaid’s fashion sense is cute, while also being a bit appeling. She loves the gradient in her hair.”

1.“Twinkle was conceptualized after Flora and Mermaid, and the process was relatively smooth. She was designed to prevent overlaps and imbalances between the others, and we paid close attention to her hair.” (Next Quote) “She was our first ever Precure to expose her shoulders in the design. It was important to get this design right, since we were taking a big risk with slight exposure, so we carefully crafted the rest of her costume.”

2.”Her hair is divided into two voluminous ponytails, held by a fluffy hairclip. We wanted to feature both highlights and gradients. When viewed from above, she looks like a star! Her skirt was made to resemble one. We covered her more on the bottom half as she was already quite exposed, hence why we gave her thigh high boots. They’re made to look like stars as well!”

3.“Yellow has many meanings, and we wanted Twinkle to stand out from the more basic color schemes of Flora and Mermaid. Purple was selected as an accent color to represent strength and maturity.”

4.“We asked Yamamura Hibiku (Twinkle’s VA) for words of inspiration as Twinkle. She stated, “A top model is a big dream! Kirara’s dream is bright like a starry sky. She says her dreams with confidence, so don’t be shy about your own!” Yamamura-san compared the buns in Twinkle’s hair to “dumplings”, and she enjoys the “poink!” sound affects in her transformation.”

1.“Scarlet is a special character, as she becomes an ally after being brainwashed by the enemy. Since she was intended to be stronger than the main characters as a villain, when she became a hero, we wanted her design to be very different.” (Next Quote) “She was made to be very royal! We gave her a cute crown and a choker, and the fur adds an air of nobility.”

2.“Initially, we wanted to add a mesh to her bangs, but it didn’t look right. Hence, we settled for selecting different colors for the front and back. The gradient began at the top of the hair rather than the bottom.. Her upper outfit was made to resemble a phoenix, and by doing so, she was given a gorgeous look to enhance the view of being a “real princess”. Her hair in the back was a bit difficult, but we eventually added the vertical princess-rolls to accentuate her bangs.”

3.”Unlike Flora’s more Western design, we gave Scarlet an asymmetrical skirt to create a more oriental feel, much like a kimono or saris.”

4.”We asked Miyuki Sawaishiro (Scarlet’s VA) for words of inspiration as Scarlet. She stated, “Be prepared! While other Cures state for people to take their time, she is also decided and ready.” Sawaishiro-san believes Scarlet’s transformation is tense, and it’s one of her favorites.”

Design 8.5/10

Exceptional, the complications on F.P.Journe’s Vertical Tourbillon Sourverain are truly second to none. There is no arguing that Journe is showing prowess here as the vertical tourbillon with remontoir d’égalité and deadbeat second makes one revolution every 30 seconds. The design might be marmite to those who have no respect, passion or love for the history of watchmaking. At it’s eye-watering price-point it can feel superfluous. The Tourbillon Sourverain is an art piece, and not your typical wristwatch.

Ease of Use 10/10

Arrestingly simple, the power reserve indicator shows when the watch needs winding. It is recommended to wind every 24hrs at the same time to ensure the watch remains precise. Due to the innovative vertical tourbillon there’s no worries regarding the position of the watch when left unworn.

Legibility 8/10

Whilst the vertical tourbillion is beautiful, it goes without saying that the addition of it and the power reserve indicator the watchface itself is smaller. I can forgive the poorer legibility and visibility in this one particular instance.

Wearability 9/10

I may be repeating myself here, but the watch wears beautifully. Admittedly for smaller wrists the Tourbillon Sourverain may feel a touch bulky and cumbersome. Otherwise, no expense has been spared ensuring true comfort alongside beauty.

Overall 35.5/40

Beautiful art-pice but a rather impractical everyday watch, but for the price I cannot imagine anyone is purchasing this watch on a whim.

Scrying the water elemental kingdom, first time.

Scrying the water elemental kingdom lead to some interesting things to say the least, first of them was the experience of wanting to hold my own breath lol but it didn't feel very suffocating it just activated the reflex that you want to hold your breath under water once I was in. The best way I can describe it is the the crevice between the North American and Eurasian plates near Iceland scaled to 100x and so HUGE, that's the scenery I was greeted with.

The guide this time…big boobie undine, big hoonker undine with big tiddies, no I was disappointed to find out that the elemental guide I called for the realm was…a humanoid figure that's transparent with no recognizable feature except four limbs. Which made me think that most of the elementals are hard to take a human form for them, like it is VERY HARD to match their function and still look human. The guide literally looked like a jello that vaguely looked human-shaped.

From the guide's instructions I was taken to Sandalphon again, from the point view of the elemental world of Water, I was introduced to a HUGE Tourbillion of rotating wheels within a a wheel within a wheel within many wheels all rotating and each one was opposed to each layer. The wheels went in the order of clockwise, counterclockwise, clockwise, counterclockwise.

Think of it were wheels within within wheels and it wasn't very cartoony.

Sandalphon himself gave me some pointers, advised me to go ahead in practice, clearly each vision is becoming more clear from Earth to Air to Water, each vision of Sandalphon seems like an unfolding of presence to an image and each image and presence increase more and more in vividness. To say the least, it is definitely unfolding. I didn't get a very clear answer on doing more pathworking for Fire but for now it is pretty alright to go ahead with fire....Soon hopefully. Is Sandalphon an Ophanim...? I wonder, I didn't read deeper into it, I need to look more. update ( 12:23 PM) 09-08-2023

The Cousin's Dogs: John Beineix & Bond Forger

John Beineix is Robbie's Golden Retriever who had accompanied him since he was two years old, right after his grandfather found out that he could speak to animals. He was a newborn puppy when the Beineix adopted him. Robbie often asked him whether there were any other animals nearby who needed their help or not. In the TV show which featured them, John told Robbie about some stray kittens, whom they rescued right away.

Bond Forger is Anya's Great Pyrenees whom she adopted when she was six years old as a reward for getting her first Stella Stars. Different from John who's just an ordinary dog, Bond is a special dog who can see the future...

Alright, probably Bond's description is just like a retelling of his canon description, but in this crossover, just like Anya's ability to read minds, Bond's ability to see the future is naturally developed in his huge body, as he's a white animal who originally came from the witch world (if you watch Ojamajo Doremi, just think of him as a white animal from the witch world like Hana's white elephant, Pao). The headcanon is that all of the white animals from the witch world have various special abilities which brings luck to their caretaker. In this crossover, Bond escaped from the witch world by crossing a gate near the venue of the adoption event that Yor and Anya were attending to.

So there wasn't any bomb terror in this AU and they just casually adopted Bond. Simple as that.

Even so, he did often warn Anya about any important moment which will happen soon (I already wrote a fanfic in FFn where he told Anya that Majo Tourbillion would visit them the next day... I probably will translate it into English and upload it into AO3 later). He also let Anya ride him like a horse until she was heavy enough for him to carry, just like what happened in the series. Basically, he's still Anya's 'partner in crime' in this crossover.

In conclusion, each of the cousins have a special partnership with their own dog and it's wonderful.
