Back in September I got obsessed with the Vaudois costume from Switzerland. I couldn't find a blouse that would have these characteristic fluffy sleeves so I decided to make my own ! So here is the result, and I can't describe the joy wearing a traditional costume gives me. We took photos in the vineyards I used to work in, as Vaud is a region famous for its wine, so the result would be as close as the original folkloric costume would be pictured 🤗 what do you think about the result ?

"Maria Theresa endured an unhappy marriage. She was a victim of her husband’s physical and mental abuses.  Nevertheless, she stood as stepmother to her husband’s four children with his second wife".

Her sister, Duchess Maria Jose in Bavaria was also a lovely woman who raised her stepdaughter, Duchess Amalie in Bavaria, as her own child.

Not all stepmothers are evil and these two women proved it.
