Happy Birthday Corazon! Do ghosts now exist in my AU, but most people can't see them? Yes. Did I spend way too much time thinking on how ghosts remain, where they are right now, and how they interact? YES. Will it play any role for the AU? No. Probably not. I could make an entire AU just for the ghosts on the Sunny. If you want to know more about them, my Asks are open, and I will answer questions about the ghosts since they won't come up in the AU again.

I think that Lammy's opinion on Law in this AU is going to be a mix of confusion and anger.

Circling back to Claustrophobic!Law with more pain.

Lami and the closet that he told her to stay in. The closet that he knew she would be *safe in*. Thats their safe spot on when they would hard days of their respective illness took a toll. It was dark, quiet, and away from the clinic where people and children were dying.

It was supposed to be safe, only for him to come back to the hospital burning, their perceived safe spot 'destroyed'

Law getting a panic attack just going near a wardrobe, flinching at the word, closet all by itself.

When he is older, he gets over some of the innate fear at the word, but still, when he sees the area in question, he shivers and tries to get away as fast as he can. It always brings back memories of Lami and Cora both, and he freezes, having to take a deep breath steadying breath just to keep moving

I imagine if he has a child, them playing hide and seek, only for Law to find them hiding in a closet, and just breaking down.

Luffy picking up their child, who is crying. While Law is hyperventilating, can't even get his power to work with the panic.

Luffy making little kiddo crawl up on his back and cling as he picks up Law to get him out of the area.

Luffy would heat up some milk, and comfort his little family. Talking with the kiddo, making them laugh, which always cheers up Law after an attack. Since all he needs to know is that they are still there, and safe

I cannot be convinced otherwise that if Law ever met someone who had Cora’s devil fruit- he would gravitate toward them.

Curiosity. Unexplainable draw. Whatever be the case, Law would be interested and possibly even protective of it, like the coveted memories he struggles to keep.

That kind of rolls into another HC- because he has grieved his family longer than he physically knew them, time has faded the little things he treasured- their faces, their voices, and characteristics are difficult to recall clearly. Even Cora’s aren’t as clear these days so if Law happens across someone that triggers those memories? Subtle mannerisms inherited from Cora as the previous user- that would be unmistakable once Law starts looking closer.

The unexplainable flammability would both intrigue and horrify him though 🤣

Like he would be interested just on the science alone- memories be damned.

law and an s/o who’s cool and calm on the surface but actually slumsy and sweet 🥺🥺 more to you than anyone else, he’s absolutely smitten. you somehow are exactly like him, but more… you and you-looking.

and about his family— god, i wish they were more talked about on here. i REALLY want to see someone’s headcanons abt how they think his parents met, they are so 🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶

even with his checkered memory of his family, his love for his family has only grown. he believes his father to be the best doctor (even more so than himself), his mother as the most beautiful woman of all time, and his little sister lami as the sweetest and most precious thing to him still, to this day.

Law and Kid made the graves for law's family, but without their bodies. It breaks more than Law expected. Kidd wipes away his tears and says:"Damn, your mom gave you her beauty... I bet she would be so proud if she could see her son right now...". This scene in my head is tearing me apart.
