Jeez Louise, Martyn reached right through that VR screen and critted Scar IRL!
(Scar is fine, which makes this all very funny. I can't stop imagining his folks having a disappointed conversation with him here about his lack of PVP skills.)
Thank FUCK Etho isn't in Real Life, I don't think I'd be strong enough to have evidence of his physical form like that so soon after Tissue Box Reveal™
Thinking about the way Scott allowed Jimmy to kill him to gain time and break the canary curse.
Thinking about the way Bdubs begged for Jimmy to kill him to gain time and break the canary curse.
Thinking about the way Joel was planning to sacrifice himself to save Jimmy dying and break the canary curse.
Thinking about the way Grian didn’t take the extra hour from Jimmy after Etho’s boogey kill, going against the rules and the watchers desires just to break the canary curse.
Thinking about how The Watchers disapproved of Grian bending the rules so they gave Jimmy a little nudge off the bridge completing the canary curse and half of Grian’s widow curse.
Scott seeing Scar and Jimmy talking and fucking booking it “I need to interrupt this canon event because you two together would be a series quicker than we have time for”
A friendly reminder to leave a nice, wholesome comment on Gem and the Scotts vids that don't only include Grian's cool final death battle. Seeing their comment sections be 50% focused on that one moment rather than their sweet performance as a whole got me down.
This new series once again puts into perspective and highlights how different the survivors of the group are, and how, though having different play styles still reach a similar goal
Martyn is a survivor by heart. That does NOT mean he is careful or sensible, he survives not by avoiding damage, but by negating it with lots of food and skill to escape danger once he is low, hence his low heart level by the end of the session
Cleo and Scott on the other hand, are survivors in the way that they avoid taking unnecessary risks. While Joel and Martyn are very risk vs reward oriented and honestly quite impatient while traveling, which is super useful in other instances! Cleo, for example, basically never sprint jumps, and prefers tedious mining than dangerous caving
I think it's super interesting and I can't wait to see how each player's behavior changes (or not) to accommodate these new rules, for example, maybe the more bold player's won't stop taking damage, but they will complete their tasks a lot faster because of it and manage to get the health back? It's also fun to think of what will happen once the first person goes to red
NOW THAT WE HAVE OUR SECRET LIFE WINNER…. SPOILERS AHEAD
We have our Sun, Stars, Moon and Mars [Grian, Scott, Pearl ans Martyn]
Now, what about Scar? I propose Pluto! Pluto is a lonely (dwarf)planet, being the farthest away from the sun (DO YOU SEE WHERE IM GOING), the smallest and probably considered weakest planet
Pluto is also the roman god of riches and the underworld (also agriculture?????), Scar was a trader who traded for riches and shit, he used zombies in the final fight and Hades, who is Pluto but greek, is a lonely god who has been villainized, mostly by modern media and GUESS WHO THAT FITS
I'm am SO SO SO NORMAL about Etho covering for Cleo and Grian at the end of the session. So SO SO normal about him trying to hinder Impulse from chasing Cleo. Normal about Etho refusing to tell the other zombies, multiple red lives including Gem, where he last saw Cleo was.
So so SO SO normal about Bdubs being willing to fail a task for Etho, but Etho not willing to succeed his task for Bdubs if it means betraying Cleo and Grian.
His loyalty astounds me, and as a Ethubs /p enjoyer I'm suffering but LIVING at the same time, I adore Etho and Cleos partnership this season to DEATH
