Filmmaking AU. Eve is a director in between projects. Villanelle is a money launderer with not exactly kosher financial ties to the world of movie financing. I had some ideas for a plot at one point in time but for now it’s just writing scenes of these two in Budapest

WIPs, WIPs, Literally Everywhere WIPs…

Rules: Post the names of all the files in your WIP folder regardless of how non-descriptive or ridiculous. For sanity's sake I'm going to limit this to somewhat-recent things, rather than delving into files for ancient projects, lol.

Writing WIPs:

"Warrior" - aka the "Jurassic Park with Faeries WIP," original fantasy fiction set in Minnesota.

"Forest 2" - also original fantasy, but geared more toward... middle grade? A sequel to my first finished (unpublished) original book. Currently languishing because it suffers from "lots of Vibes and worldbuilding, few good characters, not enough plot" syndrome :P

"TrainDream" - backburnered scifi story coauthored with my sister, because I had a dream with a great setting and plot but was lacking in solid characters for it and she happened to have a few great characters and dynamics lying around.

"Villain Art" - based on this post

Art WIPs:

Several from a current animal alphabet book with incredibly boring literal titles: Goat, Jellyfish, Kangaroo, Narwhal, Tiger.

Other than that, the ever-so-creative "Whale Skull" is the only one currently in progress.

... this has very much reminded me that I desperately need to reorganize my writing and art files into some kind of sensible order. :'D

VillainArt and TrainDreams??

TrainDreams: Another co-writing project with my sister! I was telling her about a fascinating dream I’d had, about trains that could travel between parallel worlds (some of them Earth-like, some surprisingly close to various fictional worlds), and an agent whose job it was to use the trains to chase down criminals - until her own government turns against her and she’s the one on the run.

The problem was, I had a good outline of a plot and plenty of worldbuilding, but no solid characters for them. In talking it over with her, though, we realized that she had a few characters sitting around at loose ends, with some good interpersonal tensions and interesting quirks... but no real plot or setting to use them in. Since our writing styles tend to mesh well, turned out to be an excellent match! ^^ Currently on back burner due to logistical issues (we’ve both been busy with other projects, and it’s just more time-consuming to coauthor), but it’s pretty well outlined and a decent chunk of it written.

VillainArt: A side project, which sprang out of this. Really, the only reason it’s not finished is that I keep vacillating between whether I want to turn it into an original short story or fanfiction. Or both. I DON’T KNOW.

(Decision paralysis has been the bane of all my writing lately, it seems. I need to hurry up and just do more stuff, really.)
