Pride month reminder:

Slang terms like “dude”, “bro”, “man”, etc., despite being considered gender neutral language *is* gendered. Additionally, not every non-man/masc is comfortable with these gendered terms being used to refer to them.

Additionally, if a trans/gnc person says you’re misgendering them, regardless about how you feel about how you’re referring to them, you are. It doesn’t matter how many of your friends of the same gender identity feel about the term, if it makes one person uncomfortable you need to understand that you’re misgendering them and need to change your choices of words.

If you verbally attack trans/gnc people who stand up for themselves when you misgender them, you are part of the problem.
