My favorite thing about “Whom the Gods Destroy” is that Spock, when faced with a classic doppelgänger situation, does not even BOTHER to try to figure out which Kirk is the real Kirk. Instead he responds with basically “You can’t stay like that forever. I’ll wait.” AND PULLS UP A CHAIR.
