While all of this is perfectly upsetting in its own right, there is one aspect of Cally’s Instagram in particular that rewards close observers with a mounting sense of dread. I know of no way to describe it other than The Cally.

The Cally is Callista Gingrich’s signature shot. Its rules are thus:

Cally must almost always be wearing some variation of pink. Pink is for girls.

Newt must almost always be wearing some variation of blue. Blue is for boys.

Only one may vary from this color scheme at any given time, and even then, the only acceptable alternative is a pale yellow. Yellow is genderless.

These guys handed them the material to do that with by not pulling apart the questions because they're pretty typical bad faith questions and I think that there are far more nuanced, less commonly heard / parsed-as-illogical things to say than what got said

It all seems to revolve around the premise of a misunderstanding of proportionality, a lack of grasp on global history for the past hundred plus years (since the dawn of western empire if youre looking for the general start of this cancer, it's undergone some mutation), and a willfull cluelessness about the human loss and other material consequences of white supremacy.

Don't get conned into talking about theoretical preventative violence stick to the material facts of what is happening in these two movements, fash and antifa, on the ground

Let’s see. Our canons are roughly equal in terms of how much of a mess they are, so that’s not good comparison point. Their personnel seem fairly close when they’re not doing something stupid, while it’s every man for himself here.
