Inside Out 2!!! No spoilers!!
A good sequel! Did not make me ugly cry as often as the first did (and continues to do so to this day) BUT does have well executed shots to the feels when it counts.
Pacing was OK, did feel a little janky compared to the first's very tight pacing, but it still had great setups and payoffs and callbacks to the first film.
The animation team popped off, utilizing several different styles at various points in the movie, not to mention the detail work on Riley's facial and physical expressions that have improved immensely since the first movie (which already did a fantastic job with subtle facial details).
Overall movie experience gets a dock, however, because there was NO PIXAR SHORT FILM IN FRONT OF THE MOVIE. 0/10 WHAT ARE YOU THINKING BOB IGER. UNACCEPTABLE. (This doesn't reflect on the movie itself)
All in all, Inside Out 2 is a solid 8.5-9/10 in my book.
I went through one pack of travel Kleenex out of three. This movie might be one that gets more emotional on rewatch and with a state of mind (particularly regarding the beats that hit the feels), so I would still recommend bringing three packs of tissues.
Go see it!!!!!

I HATE ANALOG HORROR (I hold a deep and incredible love for it at it's core from a childhood of watching the same Barney VHS over and over with my sister and the idea of finding something so simple in a childhood recording of your favorite children's cartoon being the first stepping stone that leads so something much more grotesque ESPECIALLY as a means to discuss childhood trauma or simply the act of leaving your childhood behind or maybe even learning to care for and forgive your past self because that's after all what horror is about. it's about learning things and saying "god that's so fucked but it happened and I'm okay now" or "that happened and I will never be okay again but still I will continue" but those ideas and themes are slowly being lost as mascot horror and the need to commercialize any and all art that's created becomes more prevalent and the simple fact that many creators, especially the young ones that make such beautiful effects and maybe even amazing storylines but mislabel their product, just don't have experience with the technology that makes analog horror analog horror)
