"you have to eat, yknow that right?" trey frowned, his eyes never leaving your hunched form. it was late at night, at this point everyone had retreated to their dorms to get some good nights sleep; every student except for you. "its important - much more important than studying."
you shrugged in response, flipping past another page of the heavy textbook in front of you. your desk was littered with crumpled papers, eraser shavings, post-its askew, and everything else that would make riddle scream his head off. trey had taken note of you not being in the cafeteria for lunch. while he assumed you were busy, his mind started to worry as he realized you didn't show up to dinner either. in fact, now that he thought about it, trey hadn't seen you all day.
the upperclassman had always felt the need to take care of others, and you were no exception. while he would deny hi true intentions about being heartslabyuls big brother figure, deeply inside, he knew it was somewhat true. you couldn't fathom why he cared so much about your well-being while he had so much to deal with on his own. wouldn't it be easier to just leave you be? wasnt he tired himself after such a long day? you started brooding in your own thoughts. trey sighed, not moving from his spot next to your desk, hoping that if he stayed long enough you'd eventually give in. your eyes darted from word to word, silent, adamant on finishing your study session before you allowed yourself a bite to eat. you had to pass this time, or it would seriously be off with your head.
you were insistent on finishing your book before having a snack — until trey had spoken up. "what if fed you instead?" your brain had taken a moment to process what he said, blinking a few times. the offer made your thoughts stop in their tracks, ripping yourself away from the book to look at trey with wide eyes. he smiled, pushing up his glasses, unshaken from how surprised you were. "i can make you something and feed you. that way you wont have to stop reading."
you couldn't help but feel embarrassed. the way he didn't even stutter to offer something so domestic (in your eyes, at least) to you made your cheeks flush, clearing your throat awkwardly. was this another one of his jokes? was cater around the corner getting ready to laugh at you with his phone in hand?
before you could hesitate any longer, your stomach growled loudly, making the both of you stare at each other for a moment before laughing. "..s-sure, if you really want to. there's really no need for that though."
"dont worry, its no big deal. i have some leftovers from what i made for dinner. ill grab them and come right back." with a polite nod, you muttered another ‘thank you’ before continuing your boring textbook about potions and whatnot for your test. your fingers tapped on the smooth wood of the desk as you read.
you wouldn’t admit it, but you enjoyed being doted on every once and a while. it felt nice to be cared for — letting your worries slip away as someone else’s hands did the work for you. it was tough having so many responsibilities. thinking again about how trey not only takes care of himself but riddle and the dorm as well, you really wondered how he did it all. shouldn’t you be the one offering him comfort and care? you sighed, leaning back in your chair and staring at the ceiling.
“whoever ends up with him is one lucky guy, that’s for sure.” you mumbled under your breath, your eyes drifting close for just a moment before a knock came from the door. “come in!”
trey nudged the door open with his foot, holding it open just enough for him to slip through with the tray of food in his hands. your mouth started to water, your room being filled with the delicious smell of treys cooking. you didnt get a good look at the dishes, but it didn't matter - your stomach was rumbling all the same. he chuckled lowly, placing the tray on the coffee table momentarily. “it’s nothing too complicated. baking is usually my specialty, but i figured you wouldn’t want to eat cake for your first meal of the day.” you shook your head, quick to quip back at his comments. “no no, don’t worry about it! it looks delicious, trey. id eat anything you make.” there was a small moment of silence, and your words had sunken in, making trey laugh again. “is that so, y/n?”
the vice dorm leader’s eyes wandered towards your desk and back to the tray of food. “would you like to move from your desk, or should i scoot closer to you?” either way, you were going to be flustered by the intimacy of his hands holding your chin in place, shrugging nonchalantly. “do whatever you feel comfortable with. you’re doing me the favor after all.” you were in this deep anyways.
trey nodded, starting to ponder about how he should go about this. he didn’t want you to stop reading and studying (although he truly wanted you to take a break from it) since it seemed important to you. however, how is he going to get close enough without dropping food on your precious textbook? it would be a shame to go back on his offer just because it needed some extra maneuvering. with all of the extra problems the students of heartslabyul create, he wouldn't give up that easily. treys eyes practically lit up with a solution. he cleared his throat before speaking up.
“could you sit on my lap, y/n?” if you listened closely, you could hear the tinge of anxiety in his voice. it was a risky offer, after all. you felt your own heart flutter. unable to muster the courage to speak, you nodded instead, getting out of your chair and out of the way so trey could take the seat.
and boy, were you staring at him like a pervert. his bigger build practically dwarfed your worn little chair, filling up the seat nicely unlike yourself. his legs were spread open comfortably, and for a split second you swore you saw something stiff in between them. he was wearing a plain red colored shirt with dark grey pajama pants. how cute.. you smiled, taking note of the little red clovers printed on the fabric. even heartslabyuls hardworking senpai had cute clothes to relax in. the more you stared, the more soft he looked in your eyes.
trey cleared his throat, disrupting you from your thoughts. he patted his thighs, closing them slightly so you'd have somewhere to sit. "if you sit like this, it shouldn't be too uncomfortable." his soft hands moved your legs across his lap, angled sideways as he faced forward. he took the heavy textbook from the desk and placed it on your lap, moving the tray of food to rest on the desk instead. scooting closer, the position would seem uncomfortable to anyone else, but you truly didn't mind. the extra body heat from being pressed so closely to the man made you relax. "comfy?"
you nodded, going back to silently reading your book. why couldn't it be like this all of the time? you felt oddly safe, flipping the pages in your book as you read. trey reached over to scoop some of the food onto a fork, hand holding the small of your back while he moved. your eyes were glued to the page still. the cool metal of the fork tapped at your lips, prompting you to open without hesitation, biting into the warm tasty leftovers you had missed out on a few hours ago. "do you like it? i can use my magic to make it taste like something else if you don't."
you shook your head, swallowing first before speaking. "theres no need to, trey. it tastes really good. you're amazing in the kitchen." it was his turn to blush, not expecting the compliment in such a vulnerable position. having a cute boy sit in his lap didnt happen everyday after all. he didnt say anything in response, feeding you another forkful.
you two stayed like that for a while as you read. the silence was comfortable, to say the least. the upperclassman didnt care asking mindless questions, letting you read in peace as he fed you. while the food was more than splendid, a few forkfuls was enough to make your stomach begin to feel full, so when trey had held the utensil expectantly in front of your lips and you didn't budge, he frowned a little. "what happened? you dont like it?" his hurt face tugged at your heart strings.
you panicked, eyebrows raising in confusion. "thats not it! im just starting to feel full, so..!"
his saddened expression made your heart sink. why did you feel so empty? even though you were reading, the words were blending into one another and you barely processed anything you had just read. why did he look so disappointed? was he actually that worried about you?
"you only have a little bit left. you can do it, right? you barely ate today.." his voice was gentle, almost as if he was convincing you, sweet and persuasive. you found yourself shakily opening your lips for another bite, much to treys delight. he made sure to take note of the blush on your cheeks.
"thats it, good boy. i knew you could do it." the senior praised you, ruffling your hair as he fed you. trey wasn't stupid - he knew he had a way to persuade others while making himself look like the good guy. he's guilty of doing the same thing to riddle more than a dozen of times. if being a bit selfish meant getting what he wanted, then he didnt mind.
embarrassingly enough, your dick twitched at the pet name, too. 'good boy'? no ones ever called you that before. it made you feel.. good, to say the least. small, but safe. you found yourself itching for more praise from trey, wiggling a bit on his lap but not denying any food when he had gathered some more on the fork. trey didnt even bother correcting himself or making an excuse. he saw how you relaxed, how you looked so eager to please. "perfect. just like that." trey mumbled lowly, opening his own mouth to mimic yours.
your eyes looked glossy, void of any valuable thought. its as if you were staring at him, but you weren't truly there. he watched, making no effort to stop you tipping over deeper into that cozy mindset of your own. at some point you even began to lean into his side, relaxing into the upperclassman's firm yet soft chest. trey smiled, brushing some hair out of your face as he set the plate of food down. you looked as if you would knock out at any moment.
"look at that, all finished. i bet your stomach feels better now, right?" you lazily nodded, humming in response as you nuzzled against his neck. he coo'ed at you, taking the heavy book out of your lap so you could rest comfortably. your body was so relaxed against his, so accessible. trey gulped, noting that he could no longer hide the throbbing boner in his pants anymore.
he had been excited ever since you initially agreed to his offer. in fact, he was practically buzzing with energy when he had went over to the kitchen to plate some leftovers from earlier today. treys hands shook with an uncharacteristic amount of nervousness, licking his lips before letting his arm wrap around your small form. even if you wanted to get up, he simply gently nudged you further into the crook of his neck, hand splaying on your thighs. his mind raced with the thousands of possibilities that could happen.
he should leave you alone. really, trey should carry you to bed like the fine gentleman everyone thinks he is, like the normal role model they take him for. deeply, the man wants to do the right thing.
yet, all moral thought flies out the window when he notices you were hard too. your little cock made a proud tent in your pants, straining against the fabric as you slept. you were so quiet that trey didn’t even notice before, but now that it was practically on display for him, he couldn’t contain the groan he let out.
his bigger hand hovered over your bulge. he felt his heart flutter, looking down at your face. you were so calm, so peaceful in his arms. at this point.. wouldn’t it be wrong for him to deny you of your basic needs? the upperclassman has already hand fed you at this point, making sure you were full and taken care of. isn’t this just.. another task that he should handle?
you were too small to do it on your own, a little too dumb. friends do this all the time for each other. besides, you were totally into him too (he was confident on that, at least), so if anything.. maybe trey is doing a favor. a favor that he definitely doesn’t mind fulfilling for you.
“it’s alright, y/n. i got you. you deserve a break.” you had mumbled something in response, trey not catching half of what you said. he shrugged, pushing his glasses up before his hand hesitantly palmed your bulge, making you shudder. he felt his own cock pulse at just how tiny you were. his hand covered a good amount of your cock, squeezing and teasing you through your pants before unzipping them quietly.
trey was thankful that riddle had given you a room in heartslabyul to stay in. you didn’t have any other roommates because it was such short notice, so he didn’t have to worry about anyone barging in and catching him doing something he probably shouldn’t. trey pumped your cock slowly, making sure to flick his wrist and twist a couple of times. he loved the way your back arched, even while you were resting, desperate for more pleasure.
“you’re doing so well, pretty boy.” the praises spilled out naturally, his gaze shifting from your face to your cute little cock. your head felt dizzy, cloudy with dreams and pleasure as you moaned softly. the amount of pre-cum that dribbled out made an erotic squelch noise fill the room. trey didn’t bother stopping, even going a bit faster to get more reactions from you.
he thought about you like this before, but had no idea how to tell you. the mysterious transfer student from a different world was more than alluring to the normal student at NRC. not to mention, you are undeniably cute, winning the hearts of many of your seniors without you noticing. you never really noticed much, most of your schedule filled with hanging out with the first years or studying.
but the way you were now, and the time you were spending in his lap, was solely because of him. treys eyes widened when he noticed you were clumsily bucking your hips towards his hand. even while asleep, you couldn’t help but be so honest. you really were such a good boy.
when you started to curl up and shield yourself away from treys hand, he tutted, unwaveringly pushing your hips the opposite way so he could continue jerking you off. “no no, not that way. we’re almost done. let me help.”
it felt way too good. all of it felt unreal. being coddled so closely, fed so gently, cared for so nicely. it made you moan louder, drooling while you felt yourself grow dumber. trey was so overwhelming, and yet, you didn’t want to leave. you were in and out of your sleep, groaning treys name as he chuckled.
“you’re so sweet when you say my name, y/n. you can say it more. say it as much as you want.” trey kissed your forehead, his hand moving quicker and harder as you started to practically wail from how your body felt. you could feel his breath on your neck. it was hard for him to keep his composure.
when he saw your little hands try and grip the chair, that’s when he knew you were close. why was he so worried before? you clearly wanted this just as much as he did. you were the perfect little boy, listening and letting him do as he pleases. trey groaned, letting you hump into his hand clumsily. “you’re gonna cum, arent you y/n? it’s okay. let it out for me. you’ve been so good.” his voice only urged you further, sweet and soft in your ear.
your mouth was open, but no sound came out when you came, eyes rolling back a bit from your release. your cum shot high, some of it nearly landing on your chin as trey milked your cock, making sure every last drop was drained from your balls. it’s probably been so long since you’ve let yourself relax like this. he made a mental note to do this more often with you.
“see? didn’t that feel good?” his smile was as warm as ever, ready to greet you as you slowly opened your eyes. his face was a bit flushed, holding you in place even as you began to wake up and try to piece together what just happened. your trusty senpai would never do anything so dishonest after all. you could only nod, not wanting to make a fool out of yourself for falling asleep and not listening to.. whatever went on.
there trey goes again, forgetting to take care of his own tasks. his cock twitched angrily, aching to be touched. maybe a pretty boy like yourself wouldn’t mind returning the favor tonight.

In which Crewel and Crowley somehow manage to destroy the time-space continuum and end up with dozens of mysterious children to care for.
Little do they know that these are (Y/n)'s children from various timelines where she married different NRC students.
Idea by @tickledpink31.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"By the Great Seven, why are there so many children here?!"
Just as Crewel had set a foot into the headmaster's office, he was immediately overwhelmed by the sudden noise of high-pitched wails and children's screams. A barrage of small children had taken over the office, some running around happily while others destroyed the furniture and knocked over vases. There were more than twenty small children, and the oldest couldn't have been much older than seven years. For a while, Crewel merely remained at the entrance and gaped at the crowd of children.
The papers he had intended to deliver to the headmaster sailed out of his hands and fell to the floor. There was pure chaos going on, and his paper spill had exacerbated the issue even more.
It took the headmaster a while to notice his visitor. He had been busy wrangling his poor top hat away from an especially mischievous fae child. After a little while, the headmaster succeeded and managed to put the mangled hat back on his head. Only then did he give his attention to his colleague by the door frame. "O-Oh, Divus! Come right in! Just make sure to shut the door—" the headmaster announced hastily. "Rook Jr is quite the stealthy one..."
Just then, a blond boy tried to zoom past Crewel, but he managed to grab him by his collar and raise him into the air just in time. The professor eyed the rambunctious boy quizzically. "Rook Jr? Is that you?"
The boy let out a sheepish giggle and even gave him a clumsy salute. Somehow, he seemed unbothered by the way he was held into the air. "Aye, monsieur! Maman loved to call me that as well— But my name is actually Philippe. I am the proud protector of my siblings!" he announced proudly and raised his nose upwards.
"Oi, stupid Philippe, as if you were responsible enough to protect Jaques and Laure!" The female voice came from below the professor, and he indeed found a young girl — she shared similar features with Philippe — tugging at his expensive coat. "I, Noelïe, am the protector of the Hunt family!" she corrected and saluted much more properly.
After Crewel had made sure that the door was locked properly behind him, he lowered Philippe to the floor again and removed his grasp from his collar. Without wasting another second, an enraged Philippe stormed over to Noelïe, and they began brawling on the floor.
"Oh my, quarreling siblings..." Crewel watched helplessly as they rolled away.
"Well," Crowley trailed off sheepishly, "at least Umbra and Solis get along better..." His finger pointed to a pair of twins by the other end of the room. Each of the siblings, a boy and a girl, possessed the strange feature of winding, black horns — and not to forget, pointed ears. They wore expensive gowns in the shades of green and black, befit of royals.
"Look, Umbra!" the boy cried out and held out a picture frame to his sister. "I found this floating portrait of the grand witch that Grandpa Lilia always talks about!"
"Oh my, let's show him! I'm sure he has more stories to tell!" Without another word, Umbra had taken the frame out of her brother's hand and was now on the move to another corner of the room. It looked like they really were searching for something with how they lifted up the sofa with their magic, only to lower it to the floor again when they only found dust and cobwebs.
"Where did all these children come from, Dire?"
"I don't know!" Crowley exclaimed and threw his hands into the air. "The heavens must have seen my boredom and blessed me with these adorable bundles of joy—"
"Wait," Crewel interrupted and inspected his boss more closely, "your coat is missing a few feathers—" Indeed, there were gaping holes here and there.
A pained sigh escaped the headmaster's lips as he pointed to a girl with lion ears. She sat on his desk chair and was happily munching away on dozens of black crow feathers. "Ah... yes... the little lioness over there likes them. Ouch, who knew that such ferocity could be hidden behind such an adorable face..." The headmaster buried his face in his gloved hands and began mourning for his poor, tattered gown.
When Crewel turned his gaze to the desk chair again, he realised that it was empty. Instead, he soon found a weight clinging to his left leg. "Sir, do you want to play with me? Play with me, please! Let's play hunting, okay?" A look downwards revealed that the little lion-girl was smiling up at him toothily. "I'll give you a head start, and then you run away as fast as you can? I'll chase you once the time's up! I promise I'm really good at it! My cousin Cheka says I'm the fastest predator he knows, even faster than my daddy!"
"Oh my, what might your name be?" Crewel asked in amusement and ruffled her hair.
"Aria! The fiercest lioness in the entire Afterglow Savannah!" she exclaimed proudly and drummed her hands against her chest, like a seasoned warrior. "No one can scare me! Not even my mommy when she yells at me to eat my vegetables."
The corners of the professor's lips quirked up into an amused smile. "Adorable."
His remark drew a little hiss from her lips, accompanied by an offended scowl. "I'm not adorable! Rawr!" she yelled out, although her roar was more similar to a cute mewl. When she realised that she hadn't intimidated him, she crossed her arms and stalked away to her friends, also beast-children. "Dandelion, you're the fastest hyena I know! Cereus, you're the strongest wolf I know! Come play hunting with me!"
The hyena-girl let out a little snicker before she darted away with nimble feet. "Shishishi, you'll never catch me, princess!" Then, she disappeared within the crowd of other children, never to be seen again.
"I'll show you two how to roar properly after this!" the wolf-boy teased before he also made his grand escape. Without an issue, he lunged over a tall bookshelf and disappeared behind it.
Now that he was free again, Crewel turned his pressing gaze to his boss again and put his hands on his hips. "Alright, Dire, so where did these children really come from? And don't you dare tell me that the stork delivered them to you."
"I don't know." Crowley merely shrugged. "They appeared after I accidentally destroyed the time-space continuum."
"You what—" Crewel spluttered out in horror.
The headmaster raised his hands into the air and shot his colleague the most calming smile he could muster. "I swear, I didn't mean to! It was all just an unfortunate accident... But you know, a wise man once said that there were no mistakes, only happy accidents! And can you believe it? Now we're surrounded by adorable, little children—" The happy grin on his lips disappeared, and he soon rushed over to a duo of children by the window. "Wait, Anemone! Don't bite your cousin like that!"
Anemone let out a low growl and bared her sharp teeth at the boy next to her. "But Nemo took my toy without asking!" she wailed when the culprit wouldn't pay her any attention. With unmatched vigour, she shook her head left and right, causing the mop of blue hair on her head to become a wild mane.
Nemo merely let out a little giggle and held the toy out to her. "I just wanted to show you a cool trick, Anemone!" he said happily and opened up the golden shell toy to reveal a glistening pearl. "Here, look!"
An awe-struck look appeared on Anemone's face, and she immediately ceased her crying.
"Wow—" Another child appeared by the cousins' side, a confident girl that wore a thick pair of black glasses. As she looked at the toy in fascination, she pushed her glasses up and let a sure smile appear on her lips. "That really is cool, but I know another trick! I can show you, if you want to!"
"Really? Ursula, show us!" Nemo cried out.
Anemone nodded along eagerly and held the toy out to the silver-haired girl. "Hurry up, Ursula!"
"I see what you mean with adorable now, Dire," the professor began and chuckled to himself. Yet, his moment of appreciation was short-lived when he turned to the headmaster to find him being mauled by the lion-girl Aria again. "But still, what are we supposed to do with all these children? Have you found a way to send them back home yet?"
"No, and I've tried really, really hard, believe me," Crowley began after the vicious predator had tired of him playing dead. He rose from the floor and dusted his tattered coat off, a giant smile on his lips. "But why send them back when I can just open a nursery with them? Just imagine, Divus! Night Raven Nursery? How does that sounds? I, for once, love it!"
"Have you gone entirely mad? We can barely handle the older students, as is, with all these overblots going on—" Crewel cried out in disbelief. "And you want to have small, helpless children nearby?"
"They can protect themselves, no?" Crowley rolled his eyes and pointed to a group of children by his coffee table. "Tell him, Rose!" The headmaster beckoned the girl over, and she at once appeared by his side.
The red-haired girl grabbed the alchemy professor by his hand and led him over to the coffee table, which was full with steaming tea-cups and cookies. She let out a little giggle before she took her seat again. "Grandpa Divvy! You're finally here— Do you want to join our tea party?" The girl patted the empty seat next to her. "My daddy always throws tea parties, as well— with all of his friends! But oh well, mine are so much more fun than his! Who wants to follow all these strange rules about how to drink your tea? You can drink your tea however you want to at my parties! If you want to add salt instead of sugar, go for it!"
The boy with orange hair, seated next to her, let out a hum of agreement. "I love salty tea! Way better than sugary sweet..." he exclaimed while pushing strands of hair out of his face. A satisfied sigh escaped his lips, and he gave a peace-sign to the baffled professor.
"Don't mind Anthony and his strange tastes... He got it from his father," a girl at the table said and let out a little giggle. Without wasting any time, she had skilfully poured tea into an empty cup and now held it out to the professor. She urged him to take it when he wouldn't, otherwise. "Here, have some tea, mister! I would usually hand you some cake to go along with it, but Grandpa Crow said that he doesn't have any."
Finally, Crewel took the cup and dared a little sip. "And who might you be?" he asked when she handed him a cookie and some sugar cubes for his tea.
"I'm Madeleine! Mommy always says I'm as sweet as madeleines, hehe. And Daddy always says my eyes are the same colour as perfectly baked madeleines." Her eyes shone proudly as she took another sip from her tea. "You should come by our bakery someday, Grandpa Divvy! It's been a long while since you've visited us. There's tons of new cakes on our menu that Daddy wants you to try!"
"Grandpa Divvy?" he repeated the nickname in confusion. "How peculiar..."
The professor was ripped out of his thoughts when the sound of crying reached his ears. He turned his gaze to the sobbing boy who had sought refuge in the soothing arms of Madeleine. A motherly look flashed across her face as she cradled the weeping boy in her arms. "Oh my, Bernard... why are you crying?" she asked and stroked his soft hair.
"Eris is being mean to me again!" he yelled out and pointed to another red-haired girl at the table.
"Really?" Madeleine asked softly. "What did she say?"
"She told me that I would never become a magical enforcement officer like my father!"
Eris rolled her eyes at the accusation and threw her velvety hair over her shoulder. "I didn't say it like that, you idiot," she grumbled under her breath. "I only said that it's very hard to become one! So you need to work a lot and give it your all!"
Bernard's face hardened in determination, and he finally stopped crying. "Well, I will work hard!"
A look of relief flashed across Madeleine's face, and she removed her arms from around the young boy with bright blue eyes. "See? Now you two troublemakers play nicely with each other," she cooed and nudged him towards Eris again, who welcomed him with a playful punch to his shoulder. The sight caused Madeleine to shake her head in amusement. "Oh my, even worse than my own siblings..."
Now that the children were busy playing tea party again, Crewel was allowed to return to the only other adult in the room. "Hm... Dire?" he called out when he found his colleague to be busy handling a large group of children.
Crowley was being climbed on by an endless amount of children. They were giggling and laughing as they were put to the floor again, only to resume their climbing fun. "Yes? Pardon me, I was busy dealing with all these Al-Asim children... There's a bunch of them! They are never-ending!" Crowley let out a little wail when one of the younger siblings began fiddling with his mask. "At least little Zahra is there to calm them down when things get a little bit too hectic."
All the children began rejoicing at once. "Zahra is our bestest friend!" they cried out together and rushed over to the older girl nearby.
She welcomed them with open arms and hugged them all in what seemed like an overwhelming group-hug. A genuinely happy smile decorated her face as she exclaimed, "Aww, I love you guys, too! Everyone of you: Malik, Fatima, Aamira, Ibrahim—"
"See? Never-ending," Crowley remarked, chuckling under his breath. Then, he turned away from the children and focused his entire attention on his colleague. "Now, what is it you needed from me, Divus?"
"Have you noticed the way all of these children address us as their grandfathers? Isn't that peculiar?"
"Well, there is a simple explanation for that—"
"Grandpa Divvy? H-Have you seen my mommy? I... I really miss her!" a little girl with flaming blue hair interjected. Tears stung in the corners of her eyes as she extended her arms out to him, wishing to he picked up. The professor reluctantly did so and cradled her in his arms when she began sniffing. "She wanted to read me some bed time stories— my favourite, even! Do you know the tale of Orpheus and Eurydice? Can you read it to me?"
"I'm sorry, but I don't know where your mother could be," Crewel muttered and tilted his head at her. "But now, on closer look... You really do look like (Y/n)."
At that, Crowley broke out into a loud bout of laughter. "Haven't you noticed yet, Divus? All of them look like (Y/n)!" By then, he was wiping the tears from his eyes. "And each of them also shares traits with some other students here at Night Raven College. Do you see that tall boy over there? I swear I've seen someone with blond hair and purple tips around campus before..."
The boy he spoke of stood next to a much smaller girl. A little pout graced her lips as she handed him a hair tie and pointed to her lavender-shade locks. "Konrad... Can you braid my hair, please? The braids opened up when I helped my daddy on the farm earlier..." she muttered and clasped her hands together adorably.
"Of course, Daisy." The blond boy smiled softly and urged her to turn around. With the utmost of care, he ran his fingers through her messy hair and unwinded even the most stubborn knots. "Would you like a French braid, or a fishtail braid... or perhaps we could try out a pull-through braid?"
"Oh— I'd like a French braid! My mommy isn't all that good at braiding, sadly. But she always tries her best!" An enthusiastic grin graced her lips as Konrad went to work with skilful and nimble fingers. After a while, an adorable snort escaped her lips, and she added, "But you should see my daddy try to braid my hair... He is always so impatient and gives up within a minute."
Konrad and Daisy broke out into a fit of giggles.
"Well, I love braiding hair! I wish I could braid my dad's hair, but he's always so busy with his job..." Konrad muttered under his breath and exhaled softly. "At least Mom always allows me to braid her hair, even if hers isn't as glossy and smooth as Dad's—"
The two were interrupted by a boy having snuck up on them and yelling, "Boo!" A grin appeared on his lips when the two children began screaming. The fear on their lips soon transformed into utter frustration, especially once they realised that the half-done braid had opened up again. The mischievous boy merely shot them a large grin, his sharp front teeth sticking out. He also possessed pointy ears and shaggy black hair, where little tufts of hair stuck out on each side. "Did I scare you?"
The headmaster let out an exasperated sigh and scolded, "Ciaran, don't go scaring others like that! People might start crying or—"
He was interrupted by a slap, its echo bouncing around in the office. Surprised, he realised that sweet and adorable Daisy had marched up to Ciaran and had whacked him over the head angrily. "Oi, take that, you stupid fae!" she yelled and began growling like a feral dog.
A series of whimpers escaped Ciaran's trembling lips. "Ouch..." He held his head in pain and watched in shock as Daisy marched back to Konrad, smiling innocently as if nothing had happened. Konrad patted her on the shoulder before beginning to braid her hair anew.
"—or they might take revenge... and then you'll start crying..." Crowley finished and shook his head in disbelief.
At once, a gentle human girl appeared by the side of the wounded fae child. She tucked her silver-coloured hair behind her ears before she soothingly whispered, "Hey, don't cry... Where does it hurt?" Her voice was as soft as expected, probably even able to lull the wildest of beasts to sleep.
Ciaran let out a series of sniffles. "She hit me here, Chimere..." He pointed to the red mark on his forehead.
Chimere smiled gently and took his hand into hers. "You don't need to cry... Adam and I are here for you," she cooed, and at her command, a green-haired boy with slightly pointed ears appeared by her side.
A confident grin appeared on Adam's face as he yelled out, "Yes! Don't cry!" The volume of his voice was so loud that he managed to outyell every other child in the office. He gave Ciaran's hand an empathetic squeeze. "It will go away!"
"Now my ears hurt..." Ciaran complained, yet smiled at his two friends.
Crewel, who had been in deep thought until now, let out a drawn-out sigh after having analysed the faces of the last three children. "You're right, Dire... They all look like (Y/n)..." he admitted woefully and cast his gaze at the ground. "You say that you destroyed the space-time continuum, right? Could that mean that these are various timelines where (Y/n)—"
"—married a different student here at Night Raven College and had children? Yes, absolutely! That's the only logical explanation," Crowley finished while picking up a tired Aria into his lap.
"Ah... I hate it here..." Crewel huffed in disappointment. "To think that my adopted darling child would marry one of these dirty street dogs..."
Crowley, however, waved him off and began laughing happily instead. "Hey, don't be so pessimistic, Divus! I love it here..." A blissful sigh escaped his lips when Aria had finally fallen asleep in his lap, softly breathing and cuddling up against his destroyed jacket. "Lots of grandchildren for me, (Y/n)'s other adoptive dad. And who else would be better at playing babysitter than me? Oh, this is simply paradise..."
"Excuse me?" it came from outside the office. "Headmaster Crowley, are you in there?"
Crowley froze in fear. "O-Oh— don't come in, please. I'm very busy right now!" he cried out nervously.
"It's me, (Y/n). It's an emergency! Grim climbed onto a tree and doesn't know how to get dowm now!" In your desperation, you had pushed the door open and marched inside, initially not even noticing the many children. You rushed over to the headmaster and clasped your hands together. "Please, he's been crying for the last hour already... and nothing we've tried so far works—" It was only when a child curiously tugged at your blazer that you realised how the room was filled to the brim with children. By then, they were all silently staring at you in awe.
"Uh... You must be wondering why there are so many children here..." Crowley trailed off and shot you a sheepish smile.
"Yes, indeed." You furrowed your eyebrows when all the children began flocking to your side. "Where did these guys come from?"
Crewel rubbed his temples in exhaustion. "Well, it's a long story—"
He was interrupted by a sudden return of the screaming and wailing from earlier, now tenfold worse. In a united chorus, all the children yelled out, "Mommy! Mommy!" Small and chubby hands were grabbing you wherever they could, even toppling you over and sending you falling to the floor.
"I missed you, Mommy!" someone screamed from your left.
From your right, someone yelled, "Mommy, can we finally go home now?"
The masses around you blurred into one big mess. "Help!" you cried out as you were hugged and squeezed by more children than you could count.
"Oh no," Crewel muttered, furrowing his eyebrows. "We have to help (Y/n), Dire!"
However, Crowley merely shook his head woefully. "I don't think we can, Divus. It would be impossible to tear a child from their mother— even more so when its dozens of little brats." The worried frown on his face soon turned into a enormous smile, and another heavenly sigh escaped his lips. By then, his eyes were basically the shape of hearts as he stared at the children in delight. "Well, what a grand opportunity to have met all of my lovely grandchildren! I should destroy the time-space continuum more often."
Crewel rolled his eyes. "Please don't..."
The screaming and yelling soon became unanimous — and you could somehow discern them yelling, "Mommy, I love you!"

I Suddenly Became the Mother of the Red-Rose Tyrant?!
Summary: Well, fuck, somehow you isekaied and became the mother of Riddle Rosehearts
Characters: Riddle Roshearts, Reader, & Clover Family.
Notes: I have been reading way too many isekai Manhwas/Mangas. Not only that, but I saw a fanart of little Riddle and his mom and was inspired right away. This is a long fic, it’s been awhile since I wrote something so long so I am proud. 💕🥰💜
Tumblr media
·      When you had opened your eyes one day, you had woken up in a bedroom that definitely wasn’t yours.
·      The room was…meticulous, and that was putting it lightly.
·      Even your bed, while comfy, had a feeling of order to it; daring anyone to mess it up.
·      You should probably be more anxious over your new surroundings but waking up well rested in a while just mellowed you out.
·      That is until you got up and looked at a mirror, finally seeing the truth of the matter.
·      Well, fuck, you really did isekai to another world.
·      Maybe reading all those manhwas and mangas were not a good idea.
·      You glance at the mirror one more time and this time your appearance caught and held your attention.
·      You reached up and pulled at your…bangs.
·      They looked to form two heart shapes.
·      It was kind of cute.
·      The person whose body you had, well, she looked tired and stressed.
·      Lady, you need to relax once in a blue moon.
·      Wait…a minute, no, no, no. Heart shaped bangs? The only character you knew that had heart shaped bangs were...
·      “Mother?”
·      You turned around and right at your door, dressed prim and proper, was a tiny Riddle Rosehearts.
·      Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.
·      You were isekaid into Mrs. Rosehearts.
Tumblr media
·      After you had gotten your bearings, you had told Riddle to go study and you would prepare him food. He had simply nodded and did as you asked. No protest against studying so early in the morning or any mention of hunger. You knew his past, of course you did, but seeing it firsthand was another experience all together. Seeing his response to the request you made? It burdened your heart even more.
·      As you made his breakfast, you had some time to yourself which you used to sort out your situation and feelings. Your memories before coming to Twisted Wonderland were still intact; you just didn’t remember how you ended up in this world, let alone in Mrs. Rosehearts body.
·      Of whom, her memories you had full access to as well. it was as if you lived two lives together. If it wasn’t for little Riddle in the next room, you would be tearing your hair out because, of course, you would be in this situation.
·      Looking through her memories, you can see why Mrs. Rosehearts had turned out the way she did. Generational trauma and unrealistic expectations seemed to run in the family. Which in turn led to her actions towards Riddle, and of which, led to Mr. Rosehearts walking out of their lives. He didn’t even fight for custody of his own child, the influence of Mrs. Rosehearts being too great.
·      Generation trauma that you could have prevented from continuing, Mrs. Rosehearts, but now it’s up to me.
·      You ended up taking a tray of food to little Riddle, with enough food that a child his age would eat and then some. At least with these memories retained, you also knew everything Mrs. Rosehearts did, and unlike the MC in Twisted Wonderland, you also had her powers as well. Which, given the game’s events, would come in handy in the future.
·      Right now though, as you opened the door to the study, you would do your best to raise your son right and well-loved.
Tumblr media
·      One of the first changes you made was decreasing his study time and allowing him the chance to play.
·      It didn’t go as well as you expected…Riddle had frozen and started shaking to your horror. Mumbling about doing better and how he could handle extra studies if you wished it of him. You had a feeling that he thought it was to test him and his dedication.
·      You had to calm him down and prove otherwise.
·      Giving him a dedicated set time to study, and just as much time to play. You would even join him. Drawing with him, putting together puzzles, and even playing in the backyard. You had even gone out and bought him a ball that you two threw at each other.
·      What warmed your heart the most was when you baked him a strawberry tart and gave it to him with a warm glass of milk. Your tart wasn’t the best with the crust crumbling, and you should have probably let it cool a bit more, but the shining eyes and wide smile from Riddle was more than worth it.
·      You patted him on the head as he scooped another piece into his mouth.
·      You loved your son.
Tumblr media
·      The next step in providing a healthy lifestyle for Riddle was making sure he had friends.
·      Which meant, you had to repair the relationship Riddle had with Trey and Che’nya.
·      It wasn’t easy, especially having to muster up the courage to look into Trey’s parents’ eyes and apologize for actions you did not commit.
·      But you were determined to give Riddle a good childhood and that meant him having friends his age and hopefully lowering his chances of overblotting in the future.
·      Riddle was quiet on the day you both went to the Clover’s bakery.
·      But you took a deep breath and patted him on the head.
·      “Everything will be alright, sweetheart.”
·      Riddle didn’t say anything and just nodded.
Tumblr media
·      You had chosen to meet Trey’s parents at closing time, and you had given them a call ahead of time.
·      When you met them, you could tell they were nervous and bracing themselves.
·      Little Trey looked ready for a fight.
·      You had to hold your smile in.
·      You ended up bowing to them and apologizing, which you could tell freaked them all out.
·      Riddle was surprised and grasped at your dress, worried.
·      “I am very sorry for the way I treated you all before. I know my words might not make up for my past actions, but I do hope you will forgive me in time.”
·      Mr. and Mrs. Clover looked at each other before tentatively accepting your apology.
·      “Mrs. Rosehearts, might we ask why the sudden change.”
·      It was Mrs. Clover who had spoken up.
·      You smiled and put a hand on your son’s head.
·      “I have been trying to raise Riddle the only way I knew how. I had let my past and expectations I have lived through blind me. I realized that was wrong, and I want to change that. I want my son to be happy and loved like he deserves.”
·      The Trey family seemed to relax after hearing your reasoning, but you could tell they were still on guard.
·      You didn’t blame them, but you hope in time, they will trust your words.
·      You crouched down to Riddle’s level, looking at him with a gentle look.
·      “I want to show my little one that adults can be wrong, and they can change. I want to show him that I love him, and I am sorry. I am so, so sorry. I love you and I hope you can forgive me too.”
·      Little Riddle was trembling, and tears were dripping down his face.
·      You opened your arms before he rushed into you with all the force his little body can muster.
·      You hugged him just as tight, holding your own tears in.
·      You got up with Riddle in your arms, rubbing his back as he cried and clutched on you tighter.
·      You bowed your head to the Clover family once again before looking at Trey.
·      “I hope you, you other friend, and Riddle can be good friends.”
·      Trey looked a bit nervous before nodding slowly.
·      You thanked them before returning home.
·      Humming a song to little Riddle and kissing his head.
·      You were determined.
·      You would make sure Riddle Rosehearts grew up loved and happy.
·      And as thoughts of the Twisted Wonderland plot came into mind.
·      You would make sure he was safe.

Twisted Wonderland incorrect quotes #3
Trey: Why did you ask me to tutor you (Y/N)? You could've asked every housewarden of NRC and they would've said yes right away.
MC: Mhmm... let me see, I could've asked Riddle and it would've been off with my head if I got distracted even for a second, Leona's too lazy to tutor anyone, Azul will tangle me in a deal I won't be able to escape even in afterlife, Kalim himself needs a tutor—he is distracted every 3 seconds, Vil is brutal—I will end up sobbing the night away anyways, Idia is not an option and I don't want Sebek yelling my brains out because I made a fool out of his young master or something like that.
Trey: I... suddenly I feel like a decent person...

How They Are When They're In Love: Trey Clover, Cater Diamond, Jack Howl, Malleus Draconia
Character Pairings: Trey Clover, Cater Diamond, Jack Howl, Malleus Draconia x Reader (Separate)
Written for @oheyfox and @meliacamelia hope y’all enjoy your man’s <3
Warnings: None.
Masterlist
Tumblr media
Trey Clover
The normal
I have physically never sat down once and written out a list of headcanons so this'll be interesting : )
Trey would be aware of once these feelings hit him immediately, however, he doesn't want to scare you off. He would prefer to keep these ideas to himself before he does anything rash
Riddle would notice a difference in his friend but wouldn't make a comment again when he did ask Trey replied with a "Nothing is wrong."
Cater on the other hand would be more persistent in getting him to spill the tea to know what's going on in the vice-housewarden's mind. As a result, Trey doesn't budge with Cater's asking. He only opens up to Cater about it after figuring out what he wants to do with it.
What is it you may ask? He wants to keep it on the down low. Both of you are still in high school. He doesn't see why he should tell you, he finds it unnecessary so he tucks it into his head for no one else to see/hear...
That's until Cater kept asking him about it and in an effort for this endless questionnaire to end he discussed with him that he wasn't interested in having a high school romance.
This, thankfully quieted him down, but he did give the odd comment one of these being "what do you have to lose?" He was aware of how common this phase was. The frequent use burns away the meaning of it. He knew what he had to lose with you... Yet it didn't stop him from at least thinking.
When Trey is in love with you that scenario could happen. Either way, he wouldn't treat you any differently than his dorm mates... At least to the eye. He'd had things going on in the backgrounds, the little things to show his love to you. Even if he knew it would never be seen or even returned..
You could hear the clicks of shoes in the empty hallways. You weren't sure who it could be this late at night on campus but you didn't have much time to think when you turned the corner and there he was. "Hi Y/n," Trey greeted you. He held a plate with tin foil covering what was inside. "I was looking for you... I know you tend to give your food away to Grim or he steals it from you and I just so happen to just finish your favourite pastry. Have it. I know you deserve it."
Cater Diamond
The schoolgirl who will reject the idea
I had this overflow of emotions to write him whilst listening to BABYMETAL so... Yeah, ngl kind of a fitting genre for him
This guy has his emotions tucked away so far away in the back of his head that even if he's spacing out during class and thinking of you at the most random times he will still reject the idea of having a crush on you and slowly falling in love.
He's a guy that does not put his emotions fully on display and it's quite hard to get a read on him if you express the same interest in him and are trying to figure him out.
He's denying everything so hard, yet everyone who comes into contact with Cater knows something is going down that isn't coming to light. The only one who knows what's going down is probably Trey or some best friend he has that isn't mentioned.
It won't even be because he told them. The only reason they would know is because they see how they look at you.
Mentioning you, he's avoiding you like the plague. Anytime he sees you walking around a corner he's going the direct opposite direction even if it means he would take longer getting to class or being late.
He knows he's hurting you but he genuinely is unsure of what to do. This guy will need someone to sit him down, probably Trey or even Deuce or Ace to get him straightened out and to help him to face what he fears. You and rejection.
They will need to hype him up a lot for this one...
"Sorry about not talking with ya for a while..." You stared up at the obviously nervous Cater. He wasn't typically like this. Something was most definitely up. "There's something I want to discuss... I'll keep it to minimal cringe 'kay?" He asks shining a bright smile but you and him know there's something underneath with all the clues being brought together. There was no way you were going to let this boy go, even if he wanted to run away like a school girl.
Tumblr media
Jack Howl
The silly <3
He genuinely does not recognize that he’s fallen in love with you for a long time.
He’s heard of the idea so many times over by strangers in the wild, his peers, and even his parents how love was such a wonderful thing.
In the ghost marriage however, it's shown that this little beastman expresses want for love like his parents and as well his grandparents and how once they've fallen in love they're in it for the long haul
Even though he may be so sure that you're the one he may not recognize it while everyone else in his life may have already figured it out
I could make out the first years, particularly Ace making fun of him for his little crush on you.
Even Ruggie would get on the trend, picking at poor Jack. He would also use this as an opportunity to hang this over his head to get him to do stuff for him, yet Jack still would admit nor realize it.
Even with all of that Jack still wouldn’t recognize how he was in love with you, the slight wag and how his ears perk up your voice the immediate moment he could be heard
He would learn it on his own time, the teasing from his peers may only have only helped this process in its own time, not being the realization.
Maybe on one of his morning runs he would realize as he is running through campus he would any other day he takes a stop to admire some flowers or item that he’s reminded is one of your favourites. That is when it hits him…
He’s in love. He's in love and he doesn't know what to do
He most definitely asked his dad for advice and how he won over his mother and tried to figure out how to use those things he told him to win you over not even realizing that you were just as head over heels for him
As said, once they have a partner they are stuck with them for life
He would be a true gentleman, pulling together a bouquet trying to impress you, making sure what he brought you has the correct meaning he wanted to give you.
"Hey... Uhm, Y/n do you have a moment?" Jack towered over you while holding something behind his back. "I... Was wondering if you wanted to go to a restaurant and..." His face flushed he pulls out what was behind his back... A bouquet of baby's breath and violets. "It'll be a date?"
(Baby's breath - Everlasting love
Violets - Loyalty)
Tumblr media
Malleus Draconia
Good old fashioned lover boy : D
Malleus has been locked away most of his life. He might've been free to have whatever he wanted in materials, but his experiences were locked away. Lilia mentioned how he travelled but Malleus never came along with him. Being the Prince of Briar Valley he wasn't allowed to have typical experiences. Once he'd gotten the taste of normal, he didn't want to go back.
How did he gain it? His relationship with you of course. From day one you didn't treat him differently. You treated him normally. He felt ruined when he messed up that he signed the letter he had given you "M.D." sure enough that you would clue in by then. Yet he felt relieved. He wasn't so sure if what he felt was endearment to you or worry from how clueless you seemed to be. He truly soured and believed that your friendship and what he enjoyed from you was gone once he showed up at the VDC
Yet.. You treating him like a normal human fae still happened? He never had a traditional friendship like others his age. So the fact that he started to gain feelings for you was much so unexpected, nor was it detected straight away.
Lilia never thought that he would have to go through this, explaining what love meant. He'd never say it to his face but he wouldn't have been surprised if his grandmother ever decided to put him into a arranged marriage because how much Lilia and her screwed up not letting him interact with kids his age that weren't assigned to be with him at all times.
So once Malleus started speaking of this Ramshackle prefect so dearly he had a cue that he would have to dust off the birds and bees story- In all serious though he decided that he had to have the talk asking how dearly he held this prefect of his. Malleus didn't know any better.
Once Lilia explained to him what was going... Dragon courting began. You were begining to collect many fancy jewelery that you weren't even sure what to do with. Malleus did have a hoard he could pick from and he surely did not cheap out when gifting. You were starting to get nervous from the way that Sebek would glare at you when passing in the halls. At one point Malleus gifted you a solid gold bar where you had to tell him he didn't have to gift you all these expensive things. Explaining him that it didn't matter he was a prince and could afford to give you all this you didn't want people thinking that you were using him. *cough cough* SEBEK
Yet through all of that you treated him as if he was a normal person. It made him so attracted to you. Yearning for you even. He wasn't sure if you were getting a message through with his courting though. However, he found it amusing so he decided letting this go another year or two couldn't hurt. After all you were his only friend. He wasn't going to let you go that easily and let something such as romance break it off so quickly. Even he couldn't take that hurt.
You stood outside of Ramshackle scrolling through your phone. You looked up as you noticed a shadow loomed over you. "Tsunataro!" Your immediate response hugging him. Malleus chuckled, "Hello prefect," he greeted. "I'm so happy you're here. I found a new gargole near here I have to show you it!" You exclaimed. "First, I have something for you," he reached into his pocket as he took out a small ring. "A promise ring. Lilia told me that it was very popular nowadays." You gawk at him as you slowly and careful take the ring from his hand and put it on your index finger. "It's beautiful, but Tsunataro... Nevermind, I like it a lot thank you." A smile graced Malleus "Of course my Treasure." You swore it was some sort of fluke that you weren't dating at the moment.

Characters: Trey, Cater, Ace, and Deuce x Gender Neutral Reader
Synopsis: Boyfriend Headcanons
Warnings: fluff and spelling mistakes
Tumblr media Tumblr media
𝒯𝓇𝑒𝓎 𝒞𝓁𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓇
Tumblr media
Oh, he loves to gift a piece of the dessert he makes or make a whole cake just for you because he is so smitten over you, but how can he not be so cute when your face lights up whenever you try the cakes he makes for you?
He finds it cute whenever you take his glasses off to try them on, asking if you look good with his glasses with a grin on your face, or even better when you mirror the club on his cheek and put on yours, so now you two match with each other.
Just like he did with his younger siblings, he is going to remind you to brush your teeth every day since he doesn't want you to have any cavities since he spoils you a lot. This man cares about dental hygiene.
He is not going to karaoke if life depends on it. He says that he’s a terrible singer, but it’s not like you listen to him; you just love to drag him along and sing a duet together. He wasn’t wrong; he doesn’t really have a good singing voice, but you had fun, so it’s not a big deal.
You’ll bake with him; even if you're bad at baking, he’ll teach you. He tells you that you can’t just get better overnight; it takes time and patience to master something, so don’t think you're lost. If you just want to watch him, that's fine, but you’ll have to grab ingredients for whatever he might be baking.
I can tell he’s just good at cooking in general, so if you don’t have anything to eat or any ingredients to make something when you come back from your class, you can just shoot him a text to help you out. There's nothing to be ashamed of when you ask him.
He doesn’t mind PDA that much, like kissing him on the cheek as you leave or holding his hand, but it does make him blush a little when done in front of other people, especially in front of Cater or Riddle (Riddle just clears his throat to get back on topic).
𝒞𝒶𝓉𝑒𝓇 𝒟𝒾𝒶𝓂𝑜𝓃𝒹
Tumblr media
Cater is basically your boyfriend and best friend at the same time.
He’s always taking photos of you and him doing those cringy couple poses where you kiss him on the cheek. Post that on Magicam because why not show you off? If you don’t have a Magicam account, he’s going to make you one, of course. you're following each other.
You guys probably dress up matching with each other and then do a magicam photoshoot.
He makes doubles of himself just to mess with you, like asking which one is the real him: the one in the Drom uniform or the NRC uniform; if you get it right, you’ll get a kiss, and if you don't, he’ll pout about how he could not know. But don’t worry, he’ll forgive you if you give him a kiss.
Cater doesn’t like sweets that much, but the exception is you, since your lips are so sweet that he just loves them, so don’t mind him stealing kisses from you throughout the day.
He’ll also put a diamond mark on your face just like his, even if you're not in Heartslabyul. You just look cute with his mark on your face (and he’s going to take 100 photos of you with that diamond mark).
His hobby is visiting cafes, and I bet you're going with him. You go to the whole bench together, from maid cafes to cat cafes and even the weird ones, and he doesn’t care unless you're having fun with him, because what's the point if he’s the only one having fun and not you always?
And to add to the cafe, you’ll definitely go to ramen restaurants. He’s going to order the most spicy ramen and then just add more hot sauce, which surprises you, but if you're not a big fan of spicy ramen, it’s fine; you can just order mild ramen.
𝒜𝒸𝑒 𝒯𝓇𝒶𝓅𝓅𝑜𝓁𝒶
Tumblr media
He loves to tease and pull little pranks on you because you're just easy to mess with (and he loves you). If you try to tease him back and succeed, he’ll deny it all with a flustered face; if you point out his red cheeks and ears, he’ll go quiet in embarrassment.
He loves to impress you with his magic tricks; he’ll even learn new ones so he can keep on seeing your expression filled with amazement by him and only him. It feeds his ego so much.
He’ll invite you to watch him practice basketball after school; he would probably be like "This shot is for you" and then completely miss the hoop while you just start laughing at him. He gets it after the 4th time while he blushes, saying "I got it in, so stop laughing!".
Once you want to surprise him with a cherry pie that you made with your own two hands, he’s going to be ecstatic and tell you that he loves you.
He’ll show you off to everyone like it must suck for them to still be single while he’s in a relationship with the most beautiful person ever; deuce wants to punch him in the face for how annoying ace is being.
Deuce, Jack, and Epel ask if Ace bribed you or if he’s forcing you to be in a relationship with him and are shocked to find you want to be with him.

The boy is nervous at the beginning of your relationship since he’s never been with anyone before (he probably gets embarrassed seeing a kiss scene in a movie and closes his eyes).
Ace makes fun of Deuce since he can’t look him in the eye with his brain going blank and not know what to say, but he gets over it after a while.
Whenever you two are alone together and Deuce ends up in a dispute with some passersby who said he was rude when he bumped their shoulder by accident, he tries to calm the other party down and himself since he doesn’t want to show his delinquent side in front of you, especially since who knows what you might think about him?
But it fails and turns bad, but in the end, the other people run away, and he apologizes to you, saying that he didn’t want you to see that side of him, his face full of shame, but you don’t blame him at all, nor do you see him any different; he’s happy that you don’t.
Back to Deuce being embarrassed, he was freaking out when you first held hands with each other; he was screaming in his head about how lucky he was, and even more when you had your first kiss together like he was on cloud 9, you saw how red his face was.
He would take you blastcycling to the beach to look at the sunset together.
You and Deuce always study together, so you both can be honor students together.

Your limbs are almost frozen, you can’t feel your fingers. desperately trying to maintain at least some warmth, you nervously peek at your “interlocutor”. And he sees it.
"Aren't you cold, dear?" he looks at you expectantly, smiling, without blinking.
"No."
If you squint, you can see the disappointment flashing in his eyes.
“Victory,” you thought mockingly, shivering from the cold.

heartslabyul boys with a dormmate (male) who is allergic to sugar, Like his allergy is terrible, if he consumes too much sugar he could end up dying, even if he eats little he gets an extremely irritated throat, so during birthday parties he just drinks tea or eats some fruit that was left on top of some cake or pie.
I ended up making this one gn because I noticed I didn't use any gendered terms lol
♤♡◇♧♤♡◇♧♤♡◇♧♤♡◇♧♤♡◇♧♤♡◇♧
Summary: Due to a rare health condition, consuming sugar can be extremely dangerous for you. To the tea party-loving Heartslabyul boys, this is something new.
Riddle/Trey/Ace/Deuce/Cater + gn!reader (SFW)
Tumblr media
Riddle Rosehearts
• this boy would be VERY cautious
• like he'll make sure there isn't even any sugar near you
• he watches the more mischievous Heartslabyul boys closely so they won't accidentally slip you any sugar
• "Trey, please tell me there isn't any sugar in the tea?"
• feels a bit sad that you can't eat his favorite pies
• he kinda relates to not being able to eat sugar, though for different reasons (*cough* his mom *cough*)
Tumblr media
Trey Clover
• he can't really make his standard desserts for the party with less sugar, so he makes an exclusive sugar-free dessert for you
• if you do accidentally eat sugar, he takes the best care of you
• he doesn't want you to just sit there during the Unbirthday Party while everyone else is having fun with the cakes, so making something for you was a must for him
• these desserts have actually become so popular with other Heartslabyul students that he now has to make them in higher quantities
• has definitely offered to make a cake that has oyster paste instead of sugar in it (ahem)
• the perfect mix of cautious and lighthearted
Tumblr media
Ace Trappola
• has definitely tried to make you eat sugar before
• immediately stopped his attempts once you told him off
• helps Trey make the sugar-free desserts & sneaks out a few fruits for you
• has secretly googled your condition & done A LOT of research on it
• picking out snacks for your birthday usually ends up with Ace secretly calling Deuce and discussing sugar, too (see: Deuce)
• "Naww, Y/N! Such a pity that you can't have a bite of MINE! But... hehe, I can still have a piece of YOURS, right? Pleaaase?"
Tumblr media
Deuce Spade
• he forgot it the second you told him for the first time or mixed it up with someone else
• has accidentally gifted you sugary snacks before (you luckily noticed) & got made fun of by Ace
• however, he has improved a lot and now pays extra attention
• when buying snacks for you, he has semi-aggressive phone calls with Ace ("You think I can buy this?" — "Dude, are ya crazy! Too much sugar for sure!")
• somehow doesn't trust anyone around you & always keeps a few dessert toppings for you
• helps Trey make the sugar-free desserts for you
Tumblr media
Cater Diamond
• like Ace, he has definitely googled your condition, but he did it the very second you told him
• didn't have any strong feelings on it as he dislikes sugary sweets and could go his whole life without much sugar
• actually grew to like Trey's exclusive sugar-free desserts
• he honestly doesn't care about it tbh (unless you've accidentally had sugar and are having complications because of it)
• he DOES gift you really healthy sugar-free snacks regularly
• "Heeyy Y/N! Look here, Vil advertised these on his Magicam and I HAD to buy them! Wanna have one?"

In which an alchemy mishap gives (Y/n) the ability to confer a blessing of good luck onto anyone, simply by kissing them.
Now, (Y/n) has a line of students lining up to be smooched.
Idea by anon.
Tumblr media
"(Y/n)! Kiss me!"
"No— kiss me! I need it for an upcoming alchemy test!"
"Please— I need the luck to get the first wagyu sandwich at the cafeteria today!"
Although the Ramshackle mansion was under a complete lockdown, with the windows barred and the front doors closed off with a large bookshelf, the entire building shook due to the masses outside. Voices of hundreds mixed into one large mess, and only a few reached your ringing ears. Stuck with Grim, Ace, and Deuce in your dorm building, this hadn't been how you had expected to spend your afternoon.
The offset for this disaster had been an incident in alchemy class just earlier that day.
As you had been busy chopping up some leaves, you only noticed too late when your lab partner threw something strange into the potion mix. You narrowed your eyes at him and grumbled, "Grim, why did you add my lip balm to the kettle?!" You desperately tried to fish the little container out again, but it had already sunken to the bottom, its viscous content mixed into the rest of the liquid.
"Uh— it looked a little bit dry?" Grim explained innocently. "And I thought it could use a little bit of hydration."
From the table next to you, Ace couldn't help but snicker as he mumbled, "Your logic is flawed, Grim."
That seemed to have flipped a switch inside of the cat monster, and you had to hold him back in order to prevent him from attacking the red-head. "Tsk, no— don't you dare underestimate me!" the cat wailed and thrashed around to free himself from your grasp. "Me, the great Grim! Most powerful magician of all time—"
In his fit of anger, he had managed to knock over the small kettle on your desk. His paw had hooked onto the rim, making the kettle topple over, and the content to splatter all over you. The pinkish liquid mostly landed on your face, and only a few splashes appeared to be on your white lab coat.
A frustrated whine escaped your lips as you practically flung Grim at Ace. "Hey! You clumsy cat—" you yelled out in anger, only for that anger to morph into frustration. Taking off your safety goggles to wipe the pink liquid off proved to be a difficult task. "Uh... it's so slimy..." And it only became worse when you tried to remove the smudges on your face, especially your lips.
"Don't worry, nothing happened," Deuce assured while putting the kettle back into its original place. "But... your lips are kinda pink? Oh— and very well hydrated, thanks to the lip balm Grim added!"
Ace's smile turned into a mischievous smirk. "You should sell the recipe to Azul and market it as a magical lip balm. You'd get rich."
Grim seemed to approve of this idea, especially once money was mentioned. But, before he could voice his utter approval, you grabbed him once again tightly. "Come here, Grim! Revenge be upon you!" you exclaimed as a battle-cry before you squeezed him as tightly as you could, playfully burying your face in the patch of fur between his ears.
"Stop!" Grim laughed out loudly. "That tickles!"
Your little cuddling session was put to an end when a shadow looming over you blocked the light of the chandelier from above. The two of you froze in your places upon noticing that it was none other than Crewel who stood in front of your desk. "Grim and (L/n), your concoction looks marvellous," the professor said, sounding surprised as he looked at the remains of the pink substance in the kettle. "It's been a while since I gave an A to first-years, but you two deserve it."
"What— an A?" Ace cried out in disbelief. "For his glorified lip balm?"
Crewel, unbothered to react to his outburst, stepped over to the Heartslabyul duo and eyed their kettle suspiciously. "Spade and Trappola, your potion looks... chunky. You get a D." Without another word, and not allowing any protest, the professor disappeared to the next table.
Ace looked like he was about to explode. "What?! That's so unfair!"
Deuce, on the other hand, simply sank into himself in resignation. "Seems like you're lucky today, Grim..."
"Share your secret with us!" Ace exclaimed hastily. "Do you carry a rabbit's paw with you? Did you get up with the right foot?"
Grim shrugged. "Today was nothing special, aside from the little accident a few seconds ago." Having wrought his way out of your arms, he jumped into his own chair again and brushed his messy fur. "And then (Y/n) grabbed me and tickled the hell out of me—"
"Wait, Grim—" Deuce interrupted, "you have a lipstick stain on your forehead."
And indeed, there was a perfect, pink imprint, reminiscent of a pair of lips, on the patch of fur between his ears. A frustrated cry escaped his lips when the cat tried to wipe the stain off with his paw, but to no avail. The imprint couldn't even be smudged.
"Oops, must have been me," you cooed innocently.
"Yes, (Y/n)'s kiss gives people good luck!"
For a moment, Ace's eyes wandered between the two of you, more specifically Grim's lip imprint and your own pink lips. As if a lightning had struck him, the red-head jumped to his feet and gasped. "And your luck just started to kick in," he exclaimed and turned ro his partner. "Do you think what I'm thinking, Deuce?"
The sceptical glance you shot your two best friends, who really did seem to share one brain cell, didn't deter them from their theory. "I think it's just a coincidence," you remarked and waved them off.
"Ew, I can't get the lipstick off my fur!" Grim cried out, by now violently scrubbing his forehead.
"Alright, (Y/n)," Ace exclaimed excitedly. "Pucker your lips for us."
"No way I'm gonna kiss you guys!"
"It's for science," Deuce said and gave you the best puppy eyes he could muster.
A shiver ran down your back in playful disgust, especially when you grumbled in a low tone, "...alright, but make it quick." You feigned to gag. "I'll have to wash my mouth with soap afterwards."
"On the lips, please~" Ace said.
"Me too!"
You glared at them while scooting closer to your two friends. "You're idiots," you mumbled while pressing a quick kiss to Deuce's lips first in rather shy fashion, clumsy too. The tips of your noses touched briefly, and your cheeks were a bright red. When you pulled away, his lips were stained a soft pink as well.
Ignoring the way Deuce's looked like he was about to explode, you turned your attention to Ace and collected all your willpower to press a kiss onto his lips. Once it was done and over with, Ace chuckled out in amusement, "Hey, we gotta take our chances." Then, with his lips a faint pink, he leaned back into his chair, relaxed.
Before anyone could speak up again, Crewel had appeared by their table. "Spade and Trappola, it seems like I gave your previous test the wrong grade," the professor explained while handing them out their corrected papers. "You both get ten points added to your last test."
"Really?!" Deuce yelled out in disbelief, looking like he was about to cry out of happiness.
Ace threw his hands into the air. "It's working!"
As you were busy wiping your lips rather violently, you muttered quietly, "You're welcome... Just don't go around telling everyone about this."
"Of course!"
"Promised."
Yes, that's what they had said — assured you, promised you — and look in what a mess you were now: almost everyone on campus knew about your new ability to confer luck to a person with a simple kiss. The rumour had spread like wildfire, and now a massive amount of students had surrounded the Ramshackle mansion, demanding entry and to see you.
The furniture used to bar the front door wouldn't hold up much longer against the pounding from outside, and Ace, Deuce, Grim, and you were basically sitting ducks until your timely demise when you would be swarmed by your fellow students. And eventually, the bookshelf gave out and was pushed aside to allow a flood of students to enter.
This was it. This was how you would die.
However, it came to you as a surprise when Grim stepped forward, in front of the three of you, and put his paws out to stop the mass of students in the hallway. "For a generous 50 Madol, you can get a good luck kiss from (Y/n)!" he exclaimed, which caused the screaming and yelling to quiet down. His control over the crowd was astounding; instead of trampling all over you, they obeyed his command and got into line.
"Guys, why—" you stuttered out hesitantly.
"If you can't fight them," Grim explained, "just profit off of them."
Ace began laughing. "That's what Azul would say."
Upon noticing the unwillingness in your eyes, albeit mostly fear upon realising the sheer quantity of students in your home, Deuce put a hand on your shoulder and shot you a smile. "Come on, we'll make sure everything stays orderly," he shouted over the background noise.
The three's expectant gazes lingering on you, you were left no other option than to exhale and comply in resignation. "Fine, but get me some lip balm first—" you grumbled under your breath, "before my lips fall off from smooching a bunch of guys..."
"You heard my henchhuman!" Grim exclaimed in excitement. "Let's get to kissing!"
In no time, your three friends had managed to transform the ocean of students into one neat line... mostly. Although it was still loud and stuffy, you at least didn't feel overwhelmed anymore. The loud voices bickering and chatting still protruded the air, accompanied by the sound of Madol coins clinging loudly as they were handed over to your friends.
You took a deep breath and readied yourself to start kissing away.
The first in line was a group of Heartslabyul students. Much to your surprise, the three most prominent members, that being Riddle, Trey, and Cater, were in that group, as well. You eyed them curiously, and a smile grew on your lips once it was their turn to be kissed.
"Riddle, I didn't expect to see you here," you teased playfully.
Although his cheeks did turn a soft red, he quickly crossed his arms and let out a frustrated huff. "Don't worry, I'm not here to get a kiss myself. I don't really believe that luck can outweigh hard work in the long run—" His monologue was interrupted by a series of coughs from behind him in the queue. "Rather, I am here to make sure Cater and the rest of my dorm members don't do anything stupid." With that, he stepped aside without a kiss.
"They wouldn't dare to do anything like that," Trey remarked while stepping beside Riddle without having been kissed, as well. "And besides, a little dose of luck can be the little sprinkle of salt needed to perfect a cake that required a lot of work, to bring out the true flavour and sweetness."
"Yeah! You should try it out," Cater cheered and opened up the camera app on his phone. "Of course after I got kissed."
You couldn't help but roll your eyes in amusement. "Where do you want the kiss, Cater?"
"Well, my right cheek is fine! I wanna take a pic to post on Magicam," he explained and wrapped his arm around you sideways. With the lense of his phone trained onto the two of you, you pressed your lips to his cheek for a little while longer, until the familiar lightning of the camera struck. "Hehe, thank you~ What a memorable day!" A satisfied smile on his face, he walked away while diddling on his phone.
"You, too, Trey?"
An amused chuckle escaped the vice dormleader's leader's lips. "Actually, I'm just here to make sure Riddle doesn't collar anyone... I don't need luck for anything particular today," Trey explained, rubbing his neck sheepishly as he gazed at Riddle next to him.
"You two are just adorable," you cooed and broke out into a grin. Before either of them could react, you had already pressed a kiss to their cheeks each.
Trey was caught off-guard. "But— we didn't pay!"
"Shush, just go along," you said and waved him off.
Riddle, on the other hand, looked like he was about to explode with how red his face had gotten. His hands were clenched into fists as he seethed out, "Violating my personal space would normally grant you a collar..." However, he seemed to calm down soon enough, the sudden outburst leaving him flustered and embarrassed. "But you're lucky I'm lenient today..."
At last, Riddle shyly walked away, and Trey followed him worriedly.
Next in line was a group of Savanaclaw students, and at the very front of the queue, none other than their dormleader.
"Leona, hey— what would you need luck for?"
"I need to pass this semester, and that requires all the luck I can get— at least Ruggie always says so," he explained rather casually. "He urged the two of us to come here..."
"Right!" Ruggie chimed from behind his dormleader. "I myself need a little bit of luck to strike a few good paying jobs."
You hummed and leaned forward to press a kiss to the lion beastman's cheek, only for him to grab your shoulder roughly just as your lips were about to meet his skin. "What do you think you're doing, herbivore?" Leona hissed under his breath, glaring at you.
"Uh— kissing you on the cheek?" you asked in utter confusion.
"I want a kiss on the lips."
You narrowed your eyes at him. "No—"
Before you could free yourself from his grip and yell at him for his cheekiness, Grim appeared beside you and waved his short arms around. "That makes double, Leona!" your fellow dorm-member exclaimed happily.
"I'm willing to pay," Leona retorted.
Your jaw clenched and your hands tightened into fists, you hissed out, "You're a cheeky one."
He simply shot you a grin and raised his eyebrow mockingly. It took you all of your willpower to squeeze your eyes shut and press a quick kiss to his lips instead of slapping him for his audacity. "Wasn't so hard, was it?" he asked while you pulled away with a warm face, whether from being flustered or angry, you didn't know.
As he walked away in satisfaction, you were allowed to take a deep breath. "Ruggie, how about you?"
"Just the cheek will be fine!" he chimed, and you pressed your lips against where he had pointed to. A grateful grin appeared on his face as he ran after Leona. "Thank you, (Y/n)! I got a few job interviews to attend now. Catch ya later, shishishi..."
Next up, Jack and Epel.
You shot the wolf beastman a curious look. "Hey, Jack. Why are you here?"
"Just here to stop Epel from punching anyone," Jack grumbled while holding back a feral Epel by his collar. "He has the tendency to start fights when his dormleader isn't around to supervise him."
"You sure you don't want anything?"
"No."
A chuckle escaped your lips, and you tilted your head to the side, deep in thought for a moment. When you had made up your mind, you speedily leaned forward and pressed a kiss onto Jack's cheek. Before he could even register what had happened, you had pulled back again. "Here you go, it's on the house! Just because you're so sweet," you said, laughing. The gesture left Jack speechless.
"I... uh—"
"Now, where's Epel?" you asked while letting your gaze drift around, in search for the small boy that had vanished from Jack's side.
"Hey! I'm down here!" A look to your right revealed Epel, squished between two other Savanaclaw students. His lips were contorted into a large scowl as he marched up to you and puffed his chest out. "Way to make fun of my height..."
"Oh, sorry. It's just really crowded here." You shot him an amused smile. "What do you need the luck for?"
"I want lots of folk to buy my family's produce! Things have kinda slowed down again after Vil's advertisement."
"That's nice of you."
Epel nodded happily, an innocent smile growing on his lips. "Ma and Da will be so happy..." he muttered under his breath, his smile widening after you had pressed a gentle kiss to his cheek. Without another word, he took off and disappeared into the crowd again, Jack following after him in concern.
Your eyes followed after them until they became one with the masses again.
"What a sprawling business you have up and running, prefect."
A turn to your left revealed a trio of three suit-clad students being the next ones in the queue. You narrowed your eyes suspiciously, quietly muttering, "Oh, the fish mafia."
Jade gasped, offended. "What an unsavory nickname for us gentlemen."
Your remark merely drew a chuckle out of Azul's lips. Although, his charming smile soon turned a little bit more serious again as he explained, "We're just here to get lucky, no shady business." At that, your shoulders drooped forward in relief, much to his amusement. "I just need the luck to get our newest menu to be popular."
"I'm just here in the hope of getting lucky on my next trip to the mountains," Jade said fondly. "There are these special mushrooms I wish to stumble upon."
"And I just wanna be lucky in general!" Floyd chimed and threw his arms into the air.
Your eyes wandered between the three of them for a while, suspicious of their true nature and intentions. However, when you couldn't find any trace of dishonesty or deception, you muttered, "Alright, that doesn't sound too bad..." You ignored the way their eyes flashed strangely and rubbed your eyes in exhaustion. "Is cheek fine for you three?"
"Yes," Jade and Azul replied.
Floyd, on the other hand, exclaimed, "Lips, please!" His answer earned him strange looks from his two fellow dorm-members, and even you couldn't suppress the surprised expression on your face. An annoyed grumble escaped Floyd's lips as he waved all three of you off. "Hey, I've got nothing better to spend my money on, anyway." Unabashedly, he stepped forward and puckered his lips.
A nervous chuckle escaped your lips before you mustered all your courage to lean forward and press your lips against his. Floyd let out a disappointed sigh when you pulled away, and he would have demanded another one if it weren't for Jade's hand latching onto his shoulder and pulling him back. Jade was easy to please with a kiss to his cheek, and he retreated with a satisfied smile. Lastly, Azul, who was rather queasy when your lips made contact with his skin. When you pulled away, his cheeks were dusted a light pink, and he stammered on his words. So much that Jade spoke on his behalf.
"Come by to try our newest menu some time, prefect," the vice dormleader announced calmly. Without another word, the three Octavinelle students disappeared from your sight.
"Oh- Oh! We're next, Jamil!"
"I can see that, Kalim..."
Your attention was drawn to your next customers: two Scarabia students.
"Hey, (Y/n)!" Kalim exclaimed once he stood in front of you, unable to stand still any longer. "I need the luck to uh... get a lot of candy! I want my coins back at Scarabia to be turned into these yummy chocolate ones, by some strange case of luck!" The smile on his lips was large and innocent — adorable, even.
"Really, that's it?" You raised an eyebrow, and he nodded eagerly. So, you grabbed the sides of his head gently to hold him still, eliciting a little giggle from him. The kiss to his cheeks made his giggles grow louder, and when you had completely pulled away, a goofy grin had appeared on his face.
You removed your hands from Kalim's face and turned to his companion, who until now had stood beside him quietly. The questioning look you shot the Scarabia vice dormleader caught him off-guard.
"I... uh, I actually haven't been able to think of anything for myself," Jamil said awkwardly, taken back by surprise when he saw Kalim hand Grim the money for the two of them, despite Jamil's protests. "I've been too busy trying not to lose Kalim in this mess." He rubbed the back of his head sheepishly.
"Oh, I'm sure you'll find something later on." Withour wasting another minute, you leaned forward and pressed a sweet kiss to his right cheek. The gesture left him dazed, almost hypnotised, and he immediately raised his hand to touch the patch of skin that your lips had touched.
Before Jamil could mutter as much of a 'thank you', Kalim had already grabbed his hand and pulled him away, saying that he wanted to look for his sweets now.
A smile grew on your lips at his words, but you were snapped out of it when a sneaky pair of hands suddenly grabbed a hold of your right hand and cradled it softly. Looking to your left revealed a blonde with large purple hat; it was none other than Rook. And Vil stood beside him impatiently.
A large smile decorated Rook's face as he got onto his knees, all the while still holding onto your hand. "Mon ange, I am here to have you confer your blessing upon this humble hunter, in the hope that he may score a lucky hunting session!" he cooed and gave your hand a gentle squeeze. "Of course, that hunter is none other than moi!"
"Rook, hello," you said and helped him to his feet again, amused by his antics. "Cheek is fine?"
"More than fine," he cooed, eagerly holding out the left side of his face for you. When your lips made contact with his pale skin, you swore you heard a swoon escape his lips. "Merci, mon ange!" The hunter shot you a charming smile before retreating to his dormleader's side.
You straightened your back to shoot the other blond a smile. "Good evening, Vil. What would you need luck for?"
"Working in the acting and modelling industry always requires a little bit of luck for auditions and what not," Vil explained smoothly. "So why not? I have nothing to lose."
"Alright. A kiss on the cheek?"
Vil shook his head and raised his arm instead. "On the back of my hand, please. It's not good for my reputation to run around with a lipstick stain on my cheek."
Although his request made you raise an eyebrow, you simply shrugged and took a hold of his hand. In one swift motion, you raised his hand and pressed a gentle kiss onto his knuckles. "Here you go, Mr. Schoenheit," you said while letting go of his wrist again.
Vil nodded in satisfaction and sauntered away elegantly, Rook following him loyally.
"Idia, this way!" the next person in line shouted.
"I-I don't want to, Ortho! I've changed my mind!"
A surprised look flashed over your face when you realised that it was Idia — in person, might I add — approaching you, or rather, being forcibly pushed towards you. He clamoured loudly, but Ortho wouldn't cease to stop his rocket boots until the two of them stood right in front of you.
Ortho shot you a friendly smile. "Hello, (Y/n)... please, would you be so kind and bless my big brother with luck?" he asked, his smile growing sheepish when Idia tried to wind his way out of his grip like a frenzied animal. "He may not look like it now, but earlier, he was a madman raving ecstatically upon hearing of you."
You hummed and turned to Idia. "Sure, where do you want the kiss?"
"C-Cheek, please..."
In contrast to his previous behaviour, Idia froze when you brought your face closer to his. He clamped his eyes shut and ceased to breathe — right until he felt your soft lips on his cheek. The tips of his hair flared up into a soft pink, the shade of the lipstick stain on his cheek. And only when you pulled away to make sure he hadn't fainted did he allow himself to smile in a silly and relieved way, as if he had braved a difficult fight.
"See?" Ortho chimed, also relieved. "That wasn't so hard..."
A chuckle escaped your lips at that, and you even leaned forward to pat his shoulder. "And you also get one for free, just because you're adorable, Ortho!" you announced before closing in and pressing a kiss to his forehead.
The robot-boy gasped in surprise, although his eyes soon fluttered close in appreciation. "Me? Oh, thank you! You're so generous!" A giggle escaped his lips as he pushed Idia forward and exclaimed, "Big Brother, say thank you as well..."
"T-Thank you..." Idia stuttered out, looking like he was ready to bolt out of this crowded place any time soon.
On their way out, the two Shroud brothers bumped into an entourage of Diasomnia students.
Sebek seemed to lead the group through the masses, rudely pushing students to the side and forcing his way through. "Finally! I managed to cut a way through the mass of people! This way, Master Malleus..." he exclaimed and gestured for his dormleader to step forward. "Everyone, make way— make way!"
"Oh, Sebek. This isn't making you popular..." Lilia muttered in amusement.
Silver, who had until then managed to fall asleep while standing next to his vice dormleader, jolted awake and let out a confused gasp. "Huh— Where are we going, Father?" he asked while struggling to catch up with the rest of the group.
Lilia floated up to ruffle the second-year's hair. "Just getting a good night kiss, Silver."
Once they arrived in front of you, you shot the group of a sheepish smile. "Oh, hello you three— and even Malleus..." Your eyes grew wide upon spotting the tall fae looming over you.
A giddy smile decorating his face, the dragon fae explained, "I could not resist the idea of being blessed with luck." Sighing wistfully, he began scratching his chin with his gloves fingers. "After all, I can certainly need it to receive invitations to some festivities I look forward to attending."
"Understandable, and you three?"
"I will use the luck to protect Master Malleus even better!"
Through his chuckles, Lilia managed to explain, "Silver wants to be lucky enough to not fall asleep as often anymore." Then he paused upon realising that the second-year in question had fallen asleep again. "And as for me? I think I'd like to have this luck make my culinary creations turn out even better than now!"
"Sebek, that's so you. Silver, that's totally understandable. And Lilia, you'll need the luck."
The first to be kissed was Malleus, who simply closed his eyes innocently, even having to bend down a little bit for you to reach his cheek, and then patiently waited for your kiss. A satisfied chuckle escaped his lips as he stepped back to eye you intently.
Next up were Lilia and Silver; as for Lilia, you simply pressed a kiss to his cheek, and as cheeky as he was, he returned the gesture smoothly, much to your surprise. You broke out into laughter and waved him off. As for Silver, who had fallen asleep, you simply pressed a kiss to his forehead. He stirred a little bit, but didn't wake up otherwise.
And last was Sebek. He straightened his back and raised his head like soldier in front of his king, ready to receive an order. His antics caused you to roll your eyes, but you nonetheless leaned forward and kissed his cheek. Although he might have been exploding inwardly, he tried his best to not let it show too much. So, when he walked back to Malleus' side, he was as stiff as a board.
Smiling, Lilia exclaimed, "We thank you for your generosity, (Y/n)!" Without further ado, the group of four turned around and walked away in closed formation.
A look of relief flashed across your face when you realised that the queue had come to an end for now, that the Diasomnia squad had been the last ones to be kissed. You sighed leisurely when Grim, Ace, and Deuce approached you. Your lips were sore, and you touched them to notice that your fingertips hadn't turned pink. "This is the end. My lipstick has worn off, anyway..." you muttered, confirmed by a look into a nearby mirror.
Ace got onto a chair to announce, "Everyone, we're sold out forever! Don't come back tomorrow or the day after that." A wave of disappointed sighs echoed through the living room of Ramshackle as the remaining students poured out.
"And as for us, we made tons of Madol!" Deuce cheered.
"(Y/n) and everyone sitting on a tree!" Grim began singing. "K-I-S-S-I-N-G!"
You mustered your most angry glare to direct at the cat monster. "Don't you dare continue that rhyme..." you hissed and wagged your finger at him.
However, Grim simply continued jumping around and singing, "First comes money. Then comes luck. Then comes my tuna!"

Amidst the empty, snow-covered landscape of a long-forgotten winter, a figure draped in somber black attire crossed the fields. His stride cut through the pristine white expanse, his flowing locks of snow-white hair blending seamlessly with the wintry hues around him. The biting cold seemed inconsequential to this man, hardened by relentless training to serve as a guard in the court of the future king of Briar Valley. Yet, despite his noble purpose, he found himself far away from his liege, drawn back to rescue a friend lost in time.
A letter had reached him from the parents of Y/N, a childhood friend trapped within the confines of a tower nestled within the lands owned by the rich couple. Silver had always harbored reservations about the idea of a tower, but he understood his lack of power amidst the chaos that had consumed their younger years. When the plea arrived, urging him to free his friend, he couldn't bear to remain idle. He felt an undeniable pull, a yearning to reunite with a long-lost friend and perhaps seek forgiveness for the lost time that had passed between them.
With determination etched upon his face, he embarked on this solitary journey, fueled by the desire to not only free Y/N from captivity but also to rekindle the bonds of friendship and make amends for the years that had slipped away. Following the map enclosed in the letter, he ventured into an eerie, desolate forest marked by lifeless trees stretching endlessly. Encountering peculiar creatures and treacherous assailants along the way, he pressed on, unfazed by the perils that beset his path. His determination was unwavering; he had journeyed from afar, yearning for this moment since their last meeting.
With each cautious step, he navigated the labyrinthine forest, drawing closer to the rumored tower guarded by a mystical creature claimed to exhale azure flames, capable of reducing a person to ash in moments. Upon breaching the tower's threshold, he discovered an absence of both the fabled beast and his long-lost friend. The room that was purported to house them stood vacant, shattering his expectations and leaving him at a loss.
──── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ────
You strode along a peculiar path strolling through the dreary expanse of the forest your parents had confined you to. Your memories were a fog, obscuring the reasons for your seclusion within the tower's confines. A nagging feeling warned against unraveling the mystery, urging you to steer clear of seeking answers. Lost in this unfamiliar realm, unexplored before now, you wandered alongside your feline companion, Grim.
"And where are we going?" Grim's fur bristled with frustration. It wasn't solely your desire to escape the tower that wearied Grim; the feline had grown attached to you and relished your notions of venturing beyond to explore the world. Yet, despite days of wandering, the two of you had found no exit from this enigmatic forest.
"Maybe we have been walking in circles?" Your words were hushed, uncertain whether this revelation would soothe Grim. After all, gazing out from the lone window in your tower room, the forest appeared endless, stretching far beyond the eye could see.
Traversing through the forest, you held onto the hope that eventually, some sign would emerge—a new path, a person, perhaps even an entire city. Your resolve remained unwavering; there was no turning back. The tower, a distant memory now, would never hold you captive again. Yet, a chill wind swept through the woods, prompting you to shiver uncontrollably. Your attire, comprised of aged white clothes salvaged from the tower's closet, and a weathered black cloak with a concealing hood, provided little protection against the elements. Grim, your mystical companion, often perched on your shoulders, found comfort in the cloak's embrace.
"If only there were another way to travel," you murmured, casting a glance at your magical feline, who rolled their eyes in exasperation.
"The great Grim isn’t going to carry you on his back!" His retort echoed through the trees, irked by the suggestion. Though capable of transforming into a formidable creature—once the guardian of the tower's confines—he seemingly preferred his diminutive feline form, much to your appreciation of his adorable appearance.
"Well, do you want to keep on walking forever? Because this forest doesn’t seem to ever end." you countered, feeling the strain in your feet from the prolonged confinement within the tower. Your pace had slowed considerably, akin to a sloth's lazy pace. Years of captivity had taken a toll on your body, and each step felt more arduous than the last.
Grim shot you a final glance, resolute in his refusal to transform into a means of transportation. However, he was not without alternative solutions, wielding his magical abilities to devise an unconventional plan. "Pick up that branch," he commanded, prompting your confusion regarding how a mere branch could aid your predicament. "Come on! The great Grim can't do everything alone!" His arms folded in impatience, urging you to comply. Reluctantly, you retrieved the branch as instructed.
Then, with an incantation from Grim, the ordinary branch underwent a peculiar transformation, morphing into a broom-like contraption. Its tips danced with vibrant, colorful blue flames reminiscent of Grim's ears.
"Holy Seven!" You gasped, seizing the strange broom with fascination, astounded by Grim's unexpected prowess. "This is incredible, Grim!" A wide smile graced your face. "But what on earth do we need a broom for?"
Observing your confusion, Grim sighed and facepalmed—acknowledging that your extended seclusion in the tower had left you unaware of certain common knowledge. Brooms, in many circles, were used for flying.
"This is our way out," Grim declared with a mischievous grin, while your eyes widened in apprehension at the revelation.
──── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ────
Flying on the broom turned out to be an ordeal far worse than sore feet. Each moment aloft sent shivers coursing through you, surpassing even the biting cold of the forest below. Gripping the broom with all your might, you clung to it for dear life, terror seizing your senses as Grim navigated the skies with what felt like reckless abandon. Refusing to glance downward, “Anything new?” you shouted for any updates, determined to keep your focus forward.
"New? Why not see for yourself?" Grim's laughter mingled with the rush of the wind as you struggled to maintain an upright position on the broom. Finally, compelled by curiosity, you dared to steal a glimpse below.
And there it was—a sprawling city sprawled beneath you. Its architecture, a symphony of white and red-hued houses, stood amidst fields of vibrant greenery. Everything appeared serene and harmonious, a stark contrast to the unfamiliar world you had known within the confines of the tower.
As Grim skillfully guided the broom downward, relief flooded over you as your feet finally met solid ground. The sensation of touching the earth after so long brought a rush of happiness, drawing curious gazes from the city dwellers around you.
"After my magnificent assistance, I think I deserve a reward!" Grim proclaimed, his smile wide with expectation. You anticipated the request that would follow. "The illustrious Grim demands a taste of tuna!" His expression held a note of insistence, and you recalled the gold objects you'd brought along from the tower, potential assets for earning some much-needed money.
As you and Grim strolled through the bustling town, you couldn't help but notice the vibrant attire donned by the locals—mostly shades of red. The surroundings were adorned with bushes filled with crimson roses, and the air carried the sweet aroma of baked goods. Selling your possessions yielded the necessary funds for sustenance, and you studied the shops in search of canned tuna. Yet, an enchanting sight halted your quest—a bakery showcasing tantalizing red cakes, their appearance strangely delightful.
Upon entering, a bell chimed, alerting the man at the counter to your presence. He was handsome, with short green hair and a welcoming smile that eased your nerves. Engaging with another person after such isolation felt foreign, leaving you momentarily speechless until he prompted a response.
“Anything you want?”
"Ah! I'd like to try one of those red cakes!" You pointed at the tempting treats, a blush creeping onto your cheeks as he chuckled at your reaction.
"You mean the strawberry tarts?" He retrieved one and continued, noting your apparent unfamiliarity with the locale. "You seem like you're from far away." Your attire betrayed your outsider status amidst the city's vibrant energy.
"I've come from afar." You approached the counter as he carefully packaged the tart. Tendering the money, you hesitated, feeling the weight of conversation hovering awkwardly between you. "This place looks... really lovely..." Social interactions were a challenge after your prolonged seclusion. How did people engage in conversation, anyway? But before you could melt into the floor you heard the sound of the bell again.
The atmosphere in the bakery shifted with the arrival of the hooded figure, their face concealed. While the kind baker engaged them in conversation, you found yourself growing anxious about Grim's whereabouts. Scanning the shop, your worry escalated until an odd noise drew your attention upward. To your shock, Grim perched atop the ceiling boards.
"Get down, Grim," you urged in a hushed tone, attempting to coax him back without drawing attention. But Grim, seemingly preoccupied with exploring, paid no heed to your plea. As he wandered, his paw accidentally struck a weak spot, causing him to tumble down.
Time seemed to slow as you witnessed the unfolding scene—a cinematic sequence unfolding before you. With a horrified scream, you watched as Grim fell down, ultimately landing on top the hooded figure, sending both crashing to the floor. The hooded stranger, now revealed his face in a dark shade of red, while his widened mad eyes looked at you. You tried to reach for his hand to help him get up but he slapped it away.
"You—" His voice quivered with rage. He scrambled to his feet, his fury evident as Grim sought refuge in your arms, fur bristling. "How... How dare you! OFF WITH YOUR HEAD!!" You watched as a strange collar appeard on your neck, and the red headed turned to the baker. Riddle's anger seethed as he addressed Trey, his voice tinged with frustration. "What type of customers are these, Trey? You really can't just let everyone enter inside here."
Trey, clearly unsettled by Riddle's outburst, attempted to placate the situation. "I'm sorry, Riddle. They seemed lost, and I thought—"
But Riddle, with a dismissive gesture, cut him off, his demeanor unyielding. "Don't make excuses. Just ensure this doesn't happen again." With an abrupt departure and a reproach directed at Trey, he left the bakery without sparing another glance in your direction.
Concern etched on his face, Trey emerged from behind the counter and approached you, “I’m sorry, Riddle tends to be a litle explosive”.
Grim, perched atop the counter, chimed in, expressing his outrage at Riddle's threatening demeanor. "A little?! It almost looked like he wanted to kill my Human!" Grim exclaimed, hands on his hips, clearly displeased with the understatement.
"Well, I suppose you could interpret it that way..." Trey's response was sheepish, scratching the back of his head. "This isn't an ideal introduction to the Queendom of Roses for you." He stated while eyeing the conspicuous collar around your neck,
“How do I remove this?” you inquired, only to be met with an unexpected revelation from Trey.
"Only Riddle can remove it."
"No way! He didn't even let me get a word in!" Your frustration was palpable, rejecting the notion that Riddle, the irate stranger, held the magic to removing the collar. “Does this mean I will have to live forever like this?”
“I propose we off this Riddle’s head ourselfs!” As Grim enthusiastically proposed taking matters into their own hands, suggesting an extreme solution, Trey visibly grimaced, swiftly dismissing the idea. Your irritation at Riddle's unreasonable behavior grew, feeling unjustly targeted for no reason.
“If you really want I can tell you were the collared people hide?” There was a questioned expression on Trey’s face, not knowing if that would lead you anywhere.
"Wait, there are more people collared by this guy?" The notion of indiscriminate collaring struck you as incredibly unjust. Despite your seclusion in the tower, the concept of such tyranny was abhorrent. "And no one opposes him?"
"That's because he's the future king of the Queendom," Trey revealed, stunning you with the revelation of Riddle's immense power. The gravity of the situation dawned on you—the consequences of opposing someone of Riddle's stature could be dire.
"Where can I find these collared people?" Your desperation for a solution became palpable, realizing that these individuals might hold the key to breaking the spell.
Trey hesitated, scratching his head, hinting at potential complications in locating them. “Well-”
──── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ────
By now, you found yourself aligning closely with Grim's idea. Approaching the other side of town, a large group of collared individuals welcomed you. What upset you most was the maltreatment endured by those with collars—those exempt from Riddle's special treatment mocked the collared ones openly. You, too, had been subject to their derisive stares upon exiting Trey's bakery.
Joining the group, you inquired about their experiences with the collars, growing increasingly dismayed at the absurdity of each story you heard.
"He's nothing but a spoiled brat!" shouted a man, his eyes ablaze with defiant confidence. "We ought to band together and overthrow him!"
"See? Even this human has good ideas," Grim chimed in, nestled on your shoulders. "We should support him." Before you could intervene, Grim walked towards the outspoken man.
"Look! A cat with blue ears!" The group stepped back, intrigued by the peculiar feline.
"A cat?! I am Grim the Great! The most powerful and magnificent—" Grim began, boasting about his grandeur until you scooped him up, silencing his self-praise.
"Is that so? If you're as remarkable as you claim, then I'm sure you'll assist us in dealing with Riddle," another voice chimed in. A man with dark blue hair approached, extending a warm welcome. "I'm Deuce. And you?" he asked, his smile inviting and soft-spoken.
"I’m Y/N, and this is Grim,” You pointed at your cute companion who rolled his eyes at Deuce. “we're here seeking any knowledge on how to remove my collar," you explained, only to be met with laughter from the surrounding group, leaving you wide-eyed with embarrassment.
"Don't mean to dash your hopes, but unless you find Riddle in an exceptionally good mood—" His expression conveyed the unlikelihood of such an occurrence. "There's no way to rid of the collar..." The sentiment elicited audible sighs from some listeners, conveying a sense of resignation.
Cursed be the day I left that tower. At least there, you wouldn't have been collared by some random tyrant. “So what is the plan?” Turning to Deuce, you inquired, prompting a shift in his expression, a broad smirk forming.
"Glad you asked. Follow me!" Deuce's demeanor took on a newfound enthusiasm as you trailed after him. Wandering through the streets led you to a peculiar forest, distinctly different from the lush greenery you'd seen while flying on the broom with Grim. This new place felt darker, stranger, and oddly familiar. After a brief walk, you arrived at a large table, adorned with teacups and scattered cake platters, as if a tea party were in progress. A man in purple attire with cat ears sipped tea while a red-headed individual seemed on the verge of pulling his hair out.
"Looks like we've got someone eager to join the party," Deuce announced, drawing the attention of the other two men toward you.
"Great, and what can they do? Unless that cat can shoot lasers from his eyes, I'm not interested in this recruiting thing anymore!" the red-headed man retorted, appearing ready to storm off.
"Relax, Ace," Deuce replied calmly, though his words seemed to only enrage Ace further, prompting him to hurl a cupcake at Deuce. "That's it, I'm tired of this—" Deuce rolled up his sleeves and advanced toward Ace, who stood up, poised for a confrontation.
"You're not from around here, nya~" The sudden, peculiar voice startled you so much that you jumped and let out a startled scream. Your heart raced, proving not quite resilient enough for these unexpected encounters. The owner of the voice chuckled at your reaction, appearing as nothing more than a floating head to your wide-eyed gaze. "Sorry, sorry. Why don't you join our tea party?" A phantom hand rested on your shoulder, though nothing visible was there.
"What... What's happening...?" Your voice quivered with uncertainty as the enigmatic cat-man guided you toward the table. Nearby, Ace and Deuce tumbled on the ground, their faces smeared with cake. "An invisible cat, two guys throwing cake at each other... What else will I see today? A caterpillar smoking?"
"Perhaps it'll show up later," the cat guy replied with a cryptic air, leaving you unsure if he was joking or being serious. "Now, tell me about yourself~"
As you recounted your tale, the tea grew cold, and Ace and Deuce, their attire adorned with grass and cake stains, eventually joined the tea party. You detailed your tower confinement, your encounter with Riddle, and your awareness of the collared individuals. Che'nya listened intently, hanging on every detail.
"And why were you locked inside that tower?" he inquired, his grin teasingly cheeky.
"That's a good question," you admitted, realizing it had been so long that you couldn't recall the reason. Vague memories of your parents bidding farewell as a man escorted you into a carriage, destined for the tower, flickered in your mind. Struggling to piece together the specifics, your memories remained frustratingly elusive. Sensing your silence, Che'nya spoke up.
"Are you familiar with a story about a sorceress locked inside a tower?" he inquired. The tale was unfamiliar to you; however, you felt his penetrating gaze, probing for any hint of recognition. "I suppose not, but it's curious how closely your story aligns with hers."
"What do you mean?" you inquired, puzzled by Che'nya's fascination with this fairy tale.
"You see, this sorceress was so powerful, surely her magic could break Riddle's," he explained. Glancing around, you noticed Ace and Deuce attentively absorbing Che'nya's words as if they were the most profound.
"So, you think I'm the sorceress?" you ventured, feeling a surge of uncertainty.
"No, that's impossible, nya~" He swiftly dismissed your suggestion, chuckling as if you'd said something ludicrous. "But what if she is listening to our conversation?" In an instant, his demeanor shifted to one of seriousness, eliciting audible gulps from Ace and Deuce, their expressions now reflecting horror at the possibility of an unknown presence among them.
"If she's here, why would she help me?" you pondered aloud.
"In the story, this sorceress is cursed to live forever inside a mirror. Only someone from outside can help her escape—someone she could trust. But she only trusts herself..." Che'nya paused, savoring the suspense, taking a sip of tea. "And the two of you seem to be the same person, just in different universes."
"This is the most absurd thing you've ever said, Che'nya," Ace scoffed, rising from the table. "If that were true, why does Y/N still have the collar?"
"Because she didn't try to remove it," Che'nya promptly replied, exuding confidence. His gaze flickered to you, almost challenging you to prove him right.
Your hand reached for the collar, not anticipating any change as you attempted to concentrate on the thought of it disappearing. With closed eyes, you visualized being alone, solely you and the collar. Yet, there was an intrusion, a presence beyond Che'nya's invisible touch—a touch woven of magic, immaterial yet undeniably real. When you opened your eyes, Ace and Deuce stared wide-eyed as the collar slipped from your neck and clattered to the ground.
“No way…” Deuce’s voice came as a whisper, frozen in place as he stared at the collar on the floor.
“That's great, now take mine off!” Ace dashed to you, seizing your hands and pressing them against his collar, a wide grin spread across his face. “C’mon! I have things I want to do!” Despite his selfishness, you complied, attempting the same method as before. You closed your eyes, focusing solely on the collar, anticipating the peculiar presence, but it never opened. “Why is it not working?”
“I don’t know…?” You were equally perplexed. Che’nya disregarded Ace’s complaints, briskly approaching you.
“Well, this is perfect! Now we just need to get you inside the palace!” Deuce stepped closer, expressing his surprise.
“Wait, Y/N will do that? I thought you wanted someone familiar with the layout and stuff!”
“No, Y/N is perfect for the job.” Che’nya's innocent smile transformed into a sly grin, leaving you bewildered at the sudden turn of events.

Poor Unfortunate Souls (Part 2)
Tumblr media
Characters: Azul Ashengrotto x Reader
Word Count: 7,398
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3a Part 3b (You are Here)
Per request from @twistedcece and @mermaidfan76 , I finished the third part to my Yandere Soulmate AU - yes, I have officially given it a name now. I think I might do a piece per each of the books in Twst - but I haven’t made any solid decisions yet.
Also - due to this being the third part, hence Octavinelle’s chapter in the game, this next part is going to be divided into two parts. The main reason is because there is a bit that happens and I want to make sure that I take my time with writing everything out for it, never mind that I am covering two overblots - Leona’s and Azul’s - in this section. I am also planning on revisiting part 2 and fixing that up a bit more - and I’ll post an update when that happens.
Now, fair warning, although this is likely not going to be graphic, it does show more of the possessive/obsessive behaviors that yandere characters are known for as well as the underlying threatening behaviors they can exhibit as well. I do not agree with these behaviors that are as follows, but I’m covering my basics.
But for now we stay so far
'Til our lonely limbs connect
I can't keep you in these arms
So I'll keep you in my mind
***
Soft humming echoed in the office of the VIP room as Azul filed the remaining documents in the safe, his gaze flickering over the rolled up golden contracts, a gloved finger touching the newest one in his collection.
"Ah, my dear," he murmured softly, "I think, tonight, the two of us will have an underwater rendezvous…"
"Azul!"
The octomer slipped out of the safe, shutting it behind him as he groaned, "Jade? Floyd? What's going on?"
"We seem to be having an issue in the lounge," the eldest eel mer explained, "Several of our workers called in sick and the place is being overrun by the students of Savanaclaw and Heartslabyul!"
“An’ it’s not just a handful, either - I’d say it’s the entirety of both dorms,” Floyd swallowed.
"Strange," Azul furrowed his brow, "It's not usual for both dorms to be in the same place at once, never mind most of the dorm…"
"That's what I was thinking," Jade nodded.
"Maybe they just got bored an’ decided to cause us some problems," Floyd suggested.
"Come, let's take a look at what the fuss is all about," Azul led the way out of his office with the two bodyguards following behind.
When he entered the lounge, the place was packed and in chaos. Students of the Octavinelle dorm were struggling to carry trays of food, drink, and take orders as the customers of Heartslabyul's and Savanaclaw's dorms lined every booth and table. Shouting and arguing overpowered the low hum of jazz that normally calmed the atmosphere of the lounge, the place now sounding like a gymnasium over a place of relaxation. Orders were running up miles high and tables were still full of empty dirty dishes - some in vacant areas - while the carpeted flooring was covered in crumbs and soaked with liquid from spilt drinks, staining the fabric.
"What in the Great Sea Witch's name is going on here?!" Azul looked at the state of his establishment, his eyes practically popping out of their sockets behind his glasses, "How did the lounge get in this state?!"
"Your guess is as good as mine," Floyd grumbled.
"Let’s get this mess straightened up," Azul growled, taking a few steps forward and heading into the crowd - taking charge over the floor and directing the staff. He barked orders for Jade to take over the kitchen and Floyd to take care of the bar - slipping between students and ordering his staff to straighten up and pick up the pace. Azul moved quickly, and when tensions rose, his training from his mother’s restaurant resurfaced again as he diffused the tension between staff and customer.
It took over an hour - but the Mostro Lounge had returned to its calm state eventually. Azul let out a sigh before narrowing his eyes, “Next time this happens… someone is going to be made into fried chicken.”
“Goodness, Azul,” Jade commented, resting a hand over his chest, “I had no idea you could be so cruel.”
“Cruel? Hardly,” Azul pulled his watch out, eyes widening, “and that little fiasco has made me late. I’m leaving for the pools - cover them with the curtains.”
Jade and Floyd snickered as Azul walked away, the octomer humming to himself before he let out a huff of annoyance, "Those two… if it wasn't for their unique magic and consistent badgering…"
He shook his head, closing his eyes as he tried to reign himself in. He couldn't let you see him in this state - you would be frightened of him more than you already were. Ever since your unexpected transformation nearly a week ago, Azul had been trying to get you to open up to him again as you had done when you first met. He was starting to get desperate, grasping at smoke every time he came and saw you, offering words of comfort even though they fell on deaf ears. Azul had sensed your own anger and fear of him - but the contract kept you bound to obey him when he called for you, your head popping above the waters of the Octavinelle pools to greet him and staying with him until he said you could leave.
And what a lovely little mermaid you had turned out to be…
Azul sighed in happiness, remembering his idea as he entered the pools - though his thoughts of bliss were cut short upon seeing four familiar figures waiting for him.
"Whoops, that was quick," Leona smirked as Azul entered the room.
"I thought you said it would be at least an hour before he got here," Riddle growled at the headwarden of Savanaclaw.
"Riddle, you know that Azul works fast," Trey answered, adjusting his glasses.
"Well, it was enough time to get what we needed done, done," Ruggie snickered.
"Hardly," Leona crossed his arms over his chest.
"What are you four doing here?" Azul's eyes narrowed, "These are private pools for the members of Octavinelle. No one else is permitted to enter."
"Oh? That's not what it seemed like to me," Riddle answered, "Azul Ashengrotto, we have reason to believe you are holding an individual hostage."
"Hostage?!" Azul laughed, "Riddle, explain this to me - is it really a hostage situation when the school permitted a person into my care and protection?"
"It is when the individual in question is being held against their will."
“Oh?” Azul grinned, “Really? The way I see it is that any individual that signs their names on my contracts - which are completely legal and binding - are in agreement with myself. They are completely unbreakable, even for you.”
“Are you certain about that?” Leona asked with a smirk, holding his hand out as Ruggie placed a familiar golden scroll into his hand.
Azul’s face paled, “W-Where… Where did you get that?!”
“I’m certain you already know.”
Azul’s hands slipped into his pockets, his eyes widening in fear, ‘The keys… the safe keys are gone!’
Ruggie let out a snicker, “Hey Azul, you know if you wanna keep somethin’ safe, you gotta keep your pockets secured too.”
“Give that contract back, give them all back now, if you please!” Azul growled, his hands curling into fists.
“Azul, calm yourself,” Riddle crossed his arms over his chest, “We can discuss this in a civilized manner.”
“That’s rich, coming from you,” Azul growled, opening his hand with palm up as his fingers twitched, “The contracts! Hand them over this minute!”
“How about we make a deal?” Leona asked.
“I’m… sorry?”
“Leona!” Trey looked over incredulously at the Savanaclaw headwarden.
“Hold it, Trey,” the Heartslabyul headwarden held his subordinate back, “Leona has this under control.”
Leona nodded and turned to Azul, “What are you prepared to offer us if we return the contracts to you? After all, this one is especially valuable to you, right?”
“I’ll… I’ll do anything! I’ll give you all the study guides you want. I’ll write each of your graduation thesises. I’ll pad your attendances. Anything! Just name it!”
“Interesting… Those are pretty tempting offers… However, here’s the thing. I owe (Y/N) for what happened to her during the Spelldrive Tournament and prior to that,” Leona crossed his arms over his chest, “No offense, but everything you just offered, asking for each of us to name a price for the return of these contracts… won’t cut it. It’s not enough to justify the return of the contracts - all six hundred plus of them - to you.”
“What?” Azul’s eyes widened.
“We know about the deal you made with Leona for the Spelldrive Tournament, and what you requested three of his dorm members to do to (Y/N) to keep her from seeking the help of other dorms in exchange,” Riddle answered, “We also know about your possessive behavior of her. (Y/N) is not of our world and deserves to return home to her family - where she belongs. As the headwarden of Heartslabyul and one of two people she’s helped; I, Riddle Rosehearts, will do everything within my power to keep her safe - even if it means I have to fight a fellow housewarden and classmate to do so.”
“And I would as well,” Leona smirked, “and any number of others would as well. Sorry Azul, but these contracts have got to go.”
“R-ridiculous!” Azul pleaded, “Don’t do it!”
“I am the one who hungers… I am the one who thirsts… I am the one to rob you of your future… Now, kneel before me! King’s Roar!”
The contracts in Leona’s hands began to glow before they slowly dissolved before everyone’s eyes. Azul watched in horror as sweat began to dribble down in his face at the sight of his carefully guarded plans disappearing into a pile of dust on the floor, “My… my golden contracts… all… reduced to dust… I-I… I don’t believe this…”
“Well, that settles that,” Ruggie looked at Azul then back to the others, “If you ask me, that was a convenient way to help both (Y/N) out and get your own contract with Azul out as well.”
“Speaking of which,” Leona looked at Trey and Riddle, “Where is our little magicless guest?”
“Deuce, Ace, and Grim took her to a safe room until this was all done,” Trey adjusted his glasses with a smile, “We had to keep her from getting injured any more than she’s already experienced.”
“Never mind that she’ll need help after being in that state for over seventy-two hours, if not more,” Riddle agreed.
“Just a couple of nice guys who can’t ignore a friend in need, huh?” Leona smirked.
“Hey! Listen to you! Crackin’ your own jokes!” Ruggie grinned with a smirk.
As the boys laughed with one another, Azul stayed where he was, his eyes glued to the pile of dust that once were his contracts.
“Hey! Frazzled Azul ink-spiller! Aw, you gonna cry? Why don’t you use one of your eight legs to wipe those tears away?”
Azul’s body began to shake before he screamed, startling the four as they looked on in horror, “I HATE THIS!! It’s GONE! My CAREFULLY AMASSED COLLECTION OF MAGIC! My OMNIPOTENT POWER! ALL… UP IN SMOKE! How could you DO this to ME!?! W-without it… without that… I… I…”
“What in the world?” Leona asked.
“Talk about changin’ your tune…” Ruggie agreed, ears flattening behind his head.
“I’m BACK TO BEING THAT ‘SILLY LITTLE OCTO-TWERP’ AGAIN!” Azul shouted, tears of black began to form in his eyes as his body shook harder as more black ink appeared to dribble off of his form, “That’s… THE LAST THING I WANT! I REFUSE! I REFUSE! I REFUSE! I don’t WANNA go BACK to being MY OLD SELF AGAIN! I CAN’T!!”
“What’s going on?!” Riddle’s eyes widened, “There’s a black aura growing around him…”
“Azul - come on,” Trey tried to reason with the sophomore, “There’s no need to get bent out of shape…”
“SHUT. UP!” Azul rounded on them as the magic grew thick and heavy, “You DON’T know me! You DON’T know my LIFE! All that time I spent being roundly mocked for my weakness… my intellect… NOBODY COULD EVER UNDERSTAND! …Not even her.”
Azul’s lips twisted then, tears and magic flowing around them as a heavy darkness seeped in through all of Octavinelle, matching the headwarden’s emotions, “Of course… It's so simple. If you lose something… just take it back. Give them to me… come on… I want your powers… I want… her. GIVE THEM TO ME!”
“Azul! What are you doing!?” Jade’s voice came through the thick darkness, making the headwarden turn to see his vicewarden with Floyd and… you.
“Whoa, yikes. What’s goin’ on here?” Floyd’s features twisted to fear as he took in the state of the pool area.
Azul’s magic and ink had begun to stain the flooring of the pool, painting it black, as the air became heavy as darkness seeped in all the crevices of the room and dorm. The waters of the pool had shifted from bright blue to a deep violet, the lighting fading to a pale yellow. Outside of the pool, the same could be said for the dorm - the once beautiful underwater dorm of Octavinelle had slowly turned dark and foreboding, with many of the remaining students that still remained.
"Jade! Floyd! You've come to me!" Azul's grin was wild and crazy.
"(Y/N)! What are you doing here!" Riddle shouted, "I told you to stay with the others!"
"Ridiculous!" You shouted at Riddle as you stayed near the twins, "Not with the dorm falling to pieces around us!"
"Azul's magic has been slowly draining some of the students in the lounge of their powers," Jade explained, "His unique magic is so powerful that if he's not careful-"
"SILENCE JADE!" Azul shouted, the magic growing heavier as the building shook.
"Azul! Your signature spell is too powerful, it's impossible to control without a contract scroll!" Jade pleaded, "You know better than anyone what will happen if you do this!"
"But… I've lost it all! Everything!" Azul laughed maniacally, "My power… my magic… my hopes and dreams… ALL UP IN SMOKE! I'LL REVERT BACK TO MY OLD SELF IF I DON'T ACT NOW!"
"Y'know Azul, I never saw you as lame," Floyd said, "But now? The way you're actin' is… pretty lame."
"Oh? Is that a fact?" Azul grinned, his sharp eyes falling on your figure as you trembled behind the twins, "I'm just a 'silly little octo-twerp' who can't do anything on his own? Well, then… I’ll prove you wrong. I'll take everyone's powers. I'll rise above your perceptions. A beautiful singing voice! Powerful magics! A perfect little soulmate! ALL OF IT MINE! HAND IT OVER AT ONCE!"
Screams were heard and a shield of magic came around Trey, Riddle, Ruggie, and Leona as the headwarden fought off the attack of magic draining as great black blobs rolled off of Azul’s form. Jade pulled you off to the side as Floyd countered the attack as well.
"What's all that gunk comin' outta Azul?!" Floyd was beginning to panic, "That ain't… ink, is it?"
"He's using his signature spell too much!" you shouted.
"Azul! Snap out of it!" Leona ordered, "The blot is exceeding your cumulative tolerance!"
"I think it's too late for that…" Jade murmured as a dark shadow came over the headwarden of Octavinelle.
All was still and silent for a moment before several large black tentacles appeared from the darkness. The light slowly revealed a mer creature that no one had seen before - black blot clung to his form, dribbling down his sides and chest as several shells and pieces of coral lined his waist and shoulders as his tentacles writhed in the open, a nautilus shell necklace secured by two golden chains clung to the creature's neck as a shorter crown of black perched on the top of his head. More black blot circled around his shoulders as his eyes opened to reveal glowing purple irises that were wild with anger and desperation.
"Azul…"
"You pitiful, insignificant fools!" The creature that once was Azul Ashengrotto shouted, as a dark shadow appeared behind him - this one taking on the form of the legendary Sea Witch of the Coral Sea herself.
"Come on! We have to snap Azul back to senses!" Riddle readied himself for battle as the others did the same.
You take a hesitantly step towards Azul, only for Jade to pull you back.
"Not now, (Y/N)," he whispered softly, "Azul's not in the right state of mind. You could get hurt."
“But, Jade-”
“Jade’s right, Shrimpy,” Floyd turned to his brother, all traces of joking gone, “We have ta stop Azul from goin’ too far - knowin’ him, he’ll try somethin’ if ya get too close.”
Jade nodded in agreement, turning toward you, “Please, (Y/N). For our sake and your friend’s sake, sit this one out.”
You didn’t have a chance to argue as the twin eels took off toward Azul. The creature behind him followed his instructions just as Leona’s and Riddle’s had done during their overblots - however, this one seemed twice as big and twice as strong. A large triton appeared in the creature’s hands as Azul ordered it to fight off his attackers, the weapon being used for blunt force and electrical hits. Trey and Ruggie tag-teamed each other alongside the twins to keep Azul distracted while Leona and Riddle used both fire and grass magic to weaken him as well as protect their allies.
“Enough!” Azul’s twisted voice shook the pool area, throwing everyone off balance, “Why do you keep bullying me?! Is it because I’m a slow dimwitted octopus?! All I wanted was… to prove them wrong… I just…”
“Azul! You know that is not the case!” Jade shouted, “We don’t want to hurt you in the slightest!”
“Come on, octy. Snap out of it!” Floyd agreed.
Azul gritted his teeth as he turned his attention toward them, “Shut up! You weren’t there! You weren’t there when I was forced into an octopot! You weren’t there when I was poked and prodded! Stones thrown at! I refuse to go back to that!”
You could feel the tears in your eyes at his words. You felt something surge within you as you stood from your spot and ran towards Azul, who continued to rage, the triton being raised again.
“(Y/N)!” Riddle’s voice echoed in the pool area before a resounding smack echoed in the room before white erupted your vision as Azul fell.
***
“Hey! Frazzled Azul ink-spiller!”
Azul’s eyes shifted to look out from his hiding spot as a group of merchildren gathered outside the octopot - their faces blurred, but their smiles were all the same.
“Aw, you gonna cry? Why don’t you use one of your eight legs to wipe those tears away?” one merchild called out as the group laughed wickedly.
“C-Cut it out,” Azul’s voice came out like a whimper, small and weak, “Why are you being so mean to me?”
“Run for it quick!” Another merchild shouted as they began to circle around the group, “He’s gonna ink us!”
“Aha ha ha! He couldn’t even keep up with us if he tried!” another voice broke out as laughter surrounded Azul from every angle.
Azul covered his ears and closed his eyes as the laughter echoed in his head, the sounds of their laughter shaking him to his core as his tentacles curled around him. Shadows passed over him as the merchildren encircled his hiding spot over and over, the mocking singing of ‘Octo-twerp! Octo-twerp! Azul is an octo-twerp!’ ingrained into his head.
“Enough!” Azul cried out as a thick black cloud encircled him, hiding him away as the voices faded.
Azul blinked and found himself as his seventeen-year old self again - but he wasn’t alone.
You were there, standing a foot away from him, eyes dripping with tears. You wiped at them, sniffling softly.
“Angelfish…” Azul started.
“Don’t, Azul,” You said, intaking a deep breath, “I saw it - how it all started.”
“What?” he looked at you in disbelief, “How?”
“I… don’t know, to be completely honest. When I experienced my first overblot with Riddle, I sensed an urge to touch him and when I did - I could see his past, what happened to him that made him the way he was. Same with Leona. Same… with you.”
You take a deep breath, “I don’t know why or understand how people could be so cruel to people that look different - because we’re all different. We each have our own backgrounds and stories, our families are different and we all grow up in different ways. But that shouldn’t make it okay for us to torment each other - it’s never okay. And… to place the expectations of something on someone… isn’t right either.”
“I just… I didn’t want to be alone, (Y/N),” Azul begged, “I had been alone most of my young life…”
“But don’t you see, Azul?” you ask, “You’re doing the same thing to me that your bullies did to you. You hurt me - even though it wasn’t by your hand.”
Azul looked down - you were right. He had treated you unfairly. He had treated you like his bullies had treated him - he had been blinded by his obsession for you.
“I’m… I’m sorry, angelfish,” Azul spoke softly, looking up at you, “I… I just wanted to keep you close. You’re my heart, my other half…”
“You might think that, but that can never be,” you explain.
“Why? Why not, angelfish?”
“Wounds… no matter what they are, take time to heal… and you have left a large scar over my heart. You broke my trust with you.”
Azul looked down again and sighed, “You’re right… I did.”
You nod slowly, offering your hand out to him, “Azul - come with me. Let’s get you back to where you need to be.”
Azul looked at your offered hand, “What?”
“You can’t stay in the darkness forever, Azul. You can’t wallow in self-pity or self-hatred. It’s… what caused this to happen in the first place. Come with me… and we’ll go into the light together and get you the help you deserve and need.”
Azul looked at your hand again, his gloved hand reaching out and slowly taking a hold of it.
As he did, a bright light enveloped both of you.
