I have Just been straight up grazing today. I ordered Chinese takeout, to satisfy the need for dopamine, but also because at least I can freeze several meals as well. Which I will do. Also kind of because I want to save the containers the food came in 😅 ah well. Tomorrow I'm picking the diet back up, I have eaten virtually all the triggerfoods I still had in the house, so it feels manageable.

I’m getting personally attacked from every angle idk if it’s bc ive accidentally been skipping my depression meds or what but I’m taking everything SO FUCKING PERSONAL LATELY. I shared with a close friend I want to go to an OA meeting for over eaters (bc maybe it will help me understand why tf I get cravings and over eat) and she blurted that out in front of 5 other women. RUDE AF.
I get home and there’s Dunkn Donuts on the counter in the kitchen.. what do I do? Have five. I STARTED CRYING WHILE I WAS EATING THE LAST ONE. I COULD NOT CONTROL MYSELF. dad comes downstairs and says “damn where’d all the donuts go? I wanted one” I covered my tears and ran upstairs to go to bed, I’m so ashamed. Five donuts wtf
I worked so hard in the gym today for nothing. Hot guy walks past me, looks down at my thighs (non existent thigh gap) and he looks away. Doesn’t even look me in the eyes as we pass by. I’m being left out of fun things with my friends and I’m actually ok with it. It hurts but I don’t want to be around anyone when I’m feeling fat.
I can’t stop thinking about food. I can’t stop obsessing. All I do is listen to podcasts about ana, research how to avoid cravings, and workout. Please someone help me avoid my trigger foods? I live at home with parents so I can’t just NOT keep shit food in the house. I don’t have a choice but to be around it

made a huge trigger food of mine tonight, PASTA. i honestly could eat pounds on pounds of this BUT i was good even if it was my first meal of the day. i haven't binge eaten since starting OA but my restricting has been a little out of control because i guess i'm taking abstinence a little too literally some days. but there's the whole "progress not perfection" and "one day at a time" thing and considering i didn't eat the whole day's worth of calories to compensate for missing two meals and that counts for something somewhere. but seriously this stuff is delicious, i'm eating the leftovers tomorrow. #overeatersanonymous #onedayatatime #progressnotperfection #pasta #chicken #alfredo #broccoli #asparagus #babybella #whiteonions #garlic #triggerfood #foodsobriety #foodstagram

Day 5 of Crohn’s and Colitis Awareness Week: Trigger Foods & Diet 💜 • I miss things. Like jalepeno poppers, shamrock shakes from McDonalds, raw peaches, a tall glass of regular milk, and Taco Bell. It’s probably been at least a couple years since I’ve chanced any of those items. Might sound weird to a normal person... but these are some of my trigger foods. The foods that make me so sick that I regret them way more than enjoyed them. 🥴 • Before I had surgery, my list of trigger foods was pretty much indefinite. My only safe foods were bananas, plain rice, applesauce, white bread, mashed potatoes, and mashed sweet potatoes. Lettuce? Forget it! Things with seeds? Forget it! Dairy products? Never! 🙅🏻‍♀️ • Keeping a journal of what I ate helped narrow down what was causing me pain. There’s apps now too to help people with that! I’m thankful I’ve been able to expand my diet so much again since my surgery, but there are still days I get annoyed. It’s annoying I can’t just go get a fricken Crunchwrap supreme or make and eat a bunch of jalepeno poppers. But this is the hand I’ve been dealt. 😶 • I’ve tried many different diets over the years. I feel best when eating a Paleo diet (anything a caveman would eat!) But when you have a 4 year old and a husband who craves dairy, gluten, etc. it gets pricey to be buying two different types of food. Currently there are clinical trials going on to see if a low FODMAP diet will help with IBD symptoms and I am very excited to see the results of that trial when it’s finished! Even though there’s no cure, I’m all for helping with symptoms!🙌 • And most importantly, EVERY BODY IS DIFFERENT. What triggers me, might not trigger someone else with IBD. A diet that helps me might make someone else feel worse. Even if you don’t have arthritis it is important to know what foods can cause inflammation and what foods can reduce it.
Foods that trigger inflammation:
Gluten and wheat
Dairy
Corn oil
Fried and processed foods
Fried, grilled, heated or pasteurized foods (byproduct known as advanced glycation end product aka AGE)
Nightshade vegetables - eggplants, peppers, potatoes, tomatoes (contain compound called solanine)
Sugar
Refined carbohydrates
Alcohol and tobacco
Smoking
