I spent part of my early morning with Faf and the Moon reading about how so many struggle with keeping their glucose monitors stuck to their bodies. I sorta knew this would be a challenge. Either medical tape doesn’t stick to me or I have allergic reactions or both. Trying to keep my heart monitor stuck to my chest for 7 days drove me itchy and batty. I had a concern that my regular clumsiness would rip it right off my body the first time I walked into a doorframe or any of the other things I do daily. I didn’t think changing my clothes while being as careful as I am able would be the first culprit. So, I’m going to try again but not today because I have to buy skin glue and had to research if I can put a patch fully over it so it’s less likely I snag it on my clumsy existence. When I was exploring with the diabetic counselor if a CGM might be a good fit for me I asked if there were additional over the counter costs that I should be aware of and I gave her examples that with finger stick blood draws I have to make sure I always have tissues and alcohol wipes (cheap but a cost) she was aware that I am very poor and she said no there wouldn’t be any additional over the counter costs. Come on.

And I am okay for now. It’s just always something, ya know?
