My timeloop RPG In Stars and Time is done! Which means I can clear all my ISAT gamedev related bookmarks. But I figured I would show them here, in case they can be useful to someone. These range from "useful to write a story/characters/world" to "these are SUPER rpgmaker focused and will help with the terrible math that comes with making a game".

Writing (Names)

Behind The Name - Why don't you have this bookmarked already. Search for names and their meanings from all over the world!

Medieval Names Archive - Medieval names. Useful. For ME

City and Town Name Generator - Create "fake" names for cities, generated from datasets from any country you desire! I used those for the couple city names in ISAT. I say "fake" in quotes because some of them do end up being actual city names, especially for french generated ones. Don't forget to double check you're not 1. just taking a real city name or 2. using a word that's like, Very Bad, especially if you don't know the country you're taking inspiration from! Don't want to end up with Poopaville, USA

Writing (Words)

Onym - A website full of websites that are full of words. And by that I mean dictionaries, thesauruses, translators, glossaries, ways to mix up words, and way more. HIGHLY recommend checking this website out!!!

Moby Thesaurus - My thesaurus of choice!

Rhyme Zone - Find words that rhyme with others. Perfect for poets, lyricists, punmasters.

In Different Languages - Search for a word, have it translated in MANY different languages in one page.

My spring break is coming up in a week and holy crap do I have plans on plans on plans, especially since my summer is gonna be full of school + internship + HOPEFULLY friggin' graduating with a BA in Psychology so that I can start applying to grad schools.

GOAL 1: MASTER GSHADE/ReSHADE

I know that some people are sticklers for this but my thing is that I had no gee-dee clue what I was doing with ReShade, whereas Gshade just kinda clicked and worked for me? That said I have a bunch of resources for learning ReShade so I might end up moving back to it at some point.

My main issue is figuring out the order of all the different effects. It obviously matters, I'm sure people smarter than me have tried to use presets only to be like "why tf does this look absolutely nothing like the baller screenshots this one cool Simblr has?" Annnd it turns out it's order + remembering to turn off certain graphic settings. Also photoshop, but that's gonna take a lot longer for me to figure out lol.

Like I'd been struggling to figure out why @gunthermunch's gorgeous Lithium preset wasn't looking as sexy as it did before annnnd it's because I forgot to turn Edge Smoothing off when switching to it. Jesus wept at how dippy I am sometimes.

Eventually, what I would like to do is maybe make my own preset at some point? I would be kind enough to show the effect order too if I did so. But this requires so, so much more shader knowledge than I currently have.

FUN FACT: My first ever degree was in art, I even went to a very fancy and private art school (School of the Art Institute of Chicago if you're curious)- I dropped out after one semester because uhhh that shit is expensive. Ended up finishing my degree at a much cheaper location in MN. That said, my art was 100% analog and 2D, and it turns out it did not translate super well into trying my hand at graphic art.

It's funny because I've been gifted really neat stuff for graphic art (like a really nice Wacom tablet and Adobe subscriptions), like people just expected my mixed-media ass would know what to do with it. NOPE! But yeah, Sims is sort of my excuse to try my hand at this stuff again, especially since I have a bit more energy now that my soul is not regularly being drained out of my body by customer service and tech support jobs.

GOAL 2: GET CRACKIN' ON ANOTHER DOOR

This one is hard because I am only on Gen 2 of the Orsons and it's sort of hard to justify starting up another story while that one is less than 1/5 of the way done.

THAT SAID, I don't plan on posting Another Door until I have a decent chunk of it done. Since it's not a casual gameplay story nor a legacy challenge, I plan on editing the bajeez out of the screenshots for it, really honing in on the aesthetic. I want it to look and feel very different from my random legacy challenge.

Fortunately, this story has been fucking up my sleep schedule for *months* now and I have a lot of the writing for it done. The hard part is translating that into the Sims, making sure I get the right poses and stuff, maybe even learning how to make some super easy CC (like, posters and stuff), and stuff related to GOAL 1 above.

What I'm saying is that it's going to take a bit. But I'm super serious about sharing it because it's my obsession and honestly the first time a story of my own design has possessed me in literal years.

Also, I want to make sure I have a significant backlog of the Orsons before I start seriously simming for it, because I don't want to screw over my favorite little pixel babies. This legacy challenge is going to be the one, I have done so much to keep my save files to keep it safe from harm (ask me how many backups I have of the save files. JK don't, the number is frankly silly).

GOAL 3: START YET ANOTHER MASSIVE CC PURGE

Y'all, my CC folder for this game is honestly an embarrassment. I go so hard on CC shopping because this community is stupid-talented and I like giving my pixel babies nice things and cool looks. When I'm bored and not quite in the mood for gameplay, I just like making neat-looking sims that I do absolutely nothing with because I love fucking around in CAS.

I have built my own PCs since I was 17 years old, and when I first built COMPUTERMACHINE (current rig) back in the autumn of 2018, it was with the goal that it would run Sims 4 flawlessly no matter what I did to it. It's got ridiculous amounts of RAM, I religiously update parts for it. And to be fair, even with the current 6,907,907,890 TB of CC I have atm it runs better than Sims 3 ever had with a measly 50 GB of CC.

But for me, it comes down to finding all the stuff I wanna use. Making myself get rid of the stuff I don't wanna use. Straight up yeeting the CC that I thought was going to look incredible that uh, didn't deliver.

I do CAS CC purges about once a year but have literally never done it for Build & Buy stuff, because OMG some of this shit I've had since 2014. Like when Sims 4 first came out. YIKES. My CAS CC obsession is notable but it's honestly nothing compared to my Build & Buy. Even before For Rent made building lots slow af, my PC was starting to take a solid minute to switch to different buy categories.

It would take a long af time so I want to make sure I have a bunch of content in the queue before I do it. It's gonna be a whole ass thing and be so, so boring to do. So I'm putting it off for when I have a ton of time to do it. Like, oh, my entire Spring Break?

GOAL 4: MAKE A FRIGGIN' RESOURCES LIST ALREADY

This would obviously need to wait until after GOAL 3 is completed, but I wanna make sure the awesome creators whose stuff I use get credit, and that people know where they can grab neat stuff. It would include not only CC but mods, Gshade/ReShade presets, and maybe even lots and sims I've downloaded from the gallery?

(Since I am super anti-paywall and very unapologetic and rude about it, I will also share where one could perhaps get some of these CCs without paying some dip a Trenta Starbucks Unicorn Frappucino amount of $$$)

It's ambitious as hell because *gestures vaguely at GOAL 3* but it would make things like doing WCIF asks and lookbooks so much easier.

Somewhat relatedly, I wanna make a navigation post, especially once Another Door starts getting posted. That story is gonna be a bit huge with multiple arcs that take place over the course of like, 14 years. Plus once the Orsons get to the 4th+ generation, it would be easier to track things down.

IN CONCLUSION...

I have been having so much fun sharing my silly little Sim adventures on Tumblr, so much more than I ever thought I would! You all have been so great to me, and all of this stuff is sort of a way for me to repay that. Ever since I stopped being able to be artistically creative ever since a really nasty depressive spell in 2017, Sims has been my #1 artistic outlet. And having people who are even somewhat entertained by my pixels is incredibly motivating.

Basically, if you read all of this, DAMN would you have been a rad livejournal follower of mine circa 2007. On the seriousness, however, thank you all so much for being rad and encouraging and sweet. I promise to do you all, if not proud, then at the very least not disappointed.

Time to hit the bong and take some pictures of Lou and Tatertot before taking my IRL doggos on a walk~

Airy and Popcorn bake a cake :) part 2!!!

“Okay so.. where’s the hand mixer?” Airy shrugged, already breaking the clumps in the ingredients apart. Popcorn huffed and started opening various drawers, until she found the machine. He plugged it in, but set it aside. “You got all the drys in?” Airy glanced at all the powders and crystals on the counter. “I think so.. wait no.. don’t chocolate cakes need.. like a chocolate powder or something?” Airy remembered from the past baking shows they’d watched. Popcorn scratched her head. “Oh yeah.. we don’t have any of that.. oh! I know!” She grabbed the chocolate chips and poured them in a bag. “Popcorn what are you-“ Airy was cut off by Popcorn grabbing a rolling pin and proceeding to beat the bag with it. Most of the chips weren’t getting properly crushed, but it was close enough to her. “Popcorn I.. dont think.. that’ll..” “Shush Airy, a baker needs complete silence to concentrate on her work!” After a few minutes she poured the power in. “Let’s hope that works. K, the drys are mixed together, so let’s just put em together i guess.” He shrugged, grabbing the bowl and pouring it over the wets, coughing as clouds of flour burst up. “Ugh. So. How does this thing work?” She fiddled with the hand mixer, eyeing different buttons. Airy shrugged. “Fine, I’ll just start pressing random things and we’ll see how it works.” She eventually found the power switch, and immediately set it to the highest setting. Airy jumped back as clouds of powder and bits of butter went flying everywhere. “OH SHIT, BAD IDEA!” Popcorn managed to set it to a lower speed, sighing. “Yeah, maybe that wasn’t the best idea I’ve ever had. But hey, i figured out how to turn this thing on!” She grinned. After a few minutes of mixing the batter, Popcorn was getting bored. “My arm hurts!” She glanced at Airy, hoping he would catch the memo. He was currently trying to clean up some of the counter. “Man this sure is boring..” Again, no response. “For heaven’s sake Airy, mix this for me!” He shoved the mixer into Airy’s arms. “Okay..” Airy started mixing the batter, calling Popcorn over when it was done. “Does this..?” Popcorn inspected it. “Yeah, that seems about right! Good job dude!” They poured it into a pan, and put the cake in the oven. “How long, Airster?” Airy thought for a moment. “I’m..not sure.” “Hm alright, uhh.. an hour. That’s always a good stopping point!” They set the timer, and let it be. “Airy, we’re running low on soap, let’s go to the store.” Popcorn suggested. About forty-five minutes later, they came back, to immediately be met with the smell of burning. “Oh shit!” Popcorn rushed into the room, Airy not far behind. She threw open the oven, and pulled out the cake. “Hot! Hot, hot, hot!” He quickly dropped it on the counter. “Is it.. supposed to look like that?” Airy asked, pointing at the charred bits on the outside, with the goopy middle pouring out. “Probably not. But we still gotta decorate!” Popcorn grabbed the various decorating things they had. “Let’s copy that design from the show, to prove it is easy!” Needless to say it was not as easy as it looked. The frosting kept melting off the cake, and the designs were terrible. “Well hey, it might be delicious!” She shrugged. Popcorn cut a piece and handed it to Airy. “I’m..not eating that.” He shook his head. “Your loss!” Popcorn sat down and grinned. “The moment of truth.. is it good?” She took a bite. “Hey.. it’s not bad!” “Really?” “Yeah man, try it!” She handed Airy the fork. He hesitantly lifted the piece to his mouth, immediately spitting it out. Popcorn cracked up. “Dude you actually thought? That shit is terrible! We should give it to my contestants. God that’d be funny, first person to eat their whole piece of my disgusting cake wins!” Airy got up to grab some water. “Oh ew..” Popcorn snickered.

Game theory

I'm so tireed but this wqas insane ramble I went on with my brother and uh lore. Theory. Game. So. I think that the fnaf 2 animatronics were mainly designed by Henry but the engineering was done by William (Because of the mediocre melodies it seems like his MO might be plastic instead of Willaim's fabric plush-based designs.) William gets an actual divorce from his wife and she takes Elizabeth (That's why there is an empty girls bedroom in the minigames) So william is having a bad time! Henry is still goin trying to be the best he can be but like his family is totally normal and nothing is wrong. william kills Charlie/Cassidy/whatever over some probably dumb shit. William goes home and CC has run back to freddy's in hopes to see his sister again since they used to play there. henry and william get a divorce (Henry doesn't know what happened but heavily suspects him). Willaim still has partial ownership of the freddy's name so he takes over the Freddy's location in 1st so he can be an ass in his own restaurant without Henry catching on. But he realizes ohhh shit the daughter is still like... alive. So he kills a few more children and stuffs them into the freddy's 1 suits. (i think that the og suits in fnaf 2 are the same suits in fnaf 1 but henry has them where he can keep an eye on them and as they've rotted has tried to fix them somewhat but gave up realizing that it's sort of not worth it! More worth it to hunt down william and destroy him and set these kids free.) CC sees it happen (Or knows how Charlie died I haven't 100% figured out the timeline) and is rightfully scared of his dad (That's where he goes from the switch to loving freddy's ("He's gone back to that place again" and having his birthday be there probably annually to being scared shitless.) Henry sort of finds out so kicks William kind of out of the business (this is where he adopts the fnaf 1 animatronics), William still can't go back so he makes his own animatronics to further his research into the whole possession thing. He tries to make them seem like the animatronics Henry makes (plastic) thus, the sister location animatronics first two based off his ex wife and daughter he doesn't get to see. CC sees someone getting yoinked with funtime freddy (Fnaf 4 Fredbear could be a mix of the og yellow bear and funtime freddy.) CC dies at some point (I am so tired and the lore is so jumbled) And William blames it on mike so he neglects Mike even harder and goes really deeply into making the funtimes so he can try and fix his "Good" son. He still gets partial visitation (That's why no adult has noticed his funky ass killer animtronics because no /adults/ have contact with him. And neither or his kids would fuckin snitch because they're afraid of him. He makes Baby sets it up, it kills elizabeth which REALLY fucks him up because like, CC (in his mind) was prob a cry baby and mike was a fuck up. Elizabeth was prob his favorite! Especially because she doesn't look like him and he doesn't have to raise her. Mike is reflection of himself and he hates it. Mike might go leave and live with his mother for a while (Mike "Scmidt") and maybe goes no contact while William continues to spiral? Idk the rest BUT This is sort of unrealted but I think the glamrocks are inspired by Henry's designs, not Williams. All plastic and nice. Maybe even Monty was a scraped mediocre melody (He's fit with the southern mismatched farm theme.) They also seem way closer to the toy animatronics then the ogs. Anyway that was my incoherant tired ramble.

HOW are you so good at finding voice claims..give me ur power

JLKSDJSKLGJKCMK I LISTEN TO SHIT TON OF MUSIC I SUPPOSE? the more varied the better! from all over the world and as far into the years as possible and then the usual stuff like watching some videos, remembering shows that i used to like...

the Main thing i try to do when looking for voice claims is have an idea of what the characters main theme is. Disdain is an interesting case cuz i've gone thru three voices for her before settling on The One!

the key ideas with Disdain are: ghosts, england, tragedy, drowned victim, that specific ghostly blue/green which all come originally from This one. the song came first, character later

made Disdain a design and listened to this song while intensely looking at her face. figured out that this voice is too soft and too... royal, i suppose

so i focused at the song itself. it carries the specific Disdain™ vibes that i wish to respect and heed. the song is the foundation so i went on spotify and looked through the different covers of it. the Second version i landed on was this one

not bad but mmm.... lets look through some more versions. so i came to the Acapella Onion one

it was a comparison game between the two for a bit, staring into Disdain's face for like ten more minutes and then went with the Onion one because i like that it's more Brisk. a part of Disdain's thing is that she is very decisive. she wants Yes or No to her yes or no questions, she rarely uses words like "maybe" or "probably". when she Says something, she says it with Conviction. it's like a verbal karate chop to the throat. a karate chop is a fast, brisk thing, so the Onion version fits much better because of that

another reason why it's better is that it's less fancy, it's just voice and white noise, the way of speaking is more stripped/direct. interesting thing about Disdain's clothes design is that it's rather simple- her dress looks like a peasant one rather than something more worthy for a God. googling "england folk dress", you're gonna see some detailed glorious things, i could've taken inspiration There, but chose not to

so my voice claim choosing includes consideration of the personality, main theme of the design/character's story and the finalized design itself

i showed this new voice claim vid to my partner Just Now basically and he told me "you know, i feel like i would accept any voice that you would put on them" and like yeah, voice claims aren't really much of a rigid thing, you can be rather free with them. whether they fit to the character's face or not is a -so so gesture- way of going about it

so i quickly put together Zephyr's old (MALINDA) and updated (Zdenka Tichotová) voice claim

said he liked the old claim better! the thing is though that he doesn't really know Zephyr as a person

Zephyr didn't originate from a song like Disdain did. Zephyr originated from a historical religiously important person and bravery itself. she has a freer range of places to choose from compared to Disdain's tunnel vision of My Jolly Sailor Bold covers

originally i chose Malinda because Zephyr is supposed to be a mix of French and Irish inspired and the singer covers and knows a lot about Irish tunes. the protion of song chosen Feels like freedom, from singing in Irish to just belting out a single tone straight from the heart. it sounds like defiance. that's what Zephyr is about

the thing is that i listened to some more Malinda stuff later, trying to imagine Zephyr singing it and well... Malinda is originally an American person. the curse of successful Americans rears its head again in the form of superficiality/faked Booming emotions and annoying pride (not sayin that every American has this but... the successful ones especially are so so likely to fall to it) and my Gods Zephyr can't have something like that stapled to her. she's supposed to be genuine and simple

so i went searching for something that is more anchored in humanity/the earth. when i want something like That i usually head either to my childhood or my czechoslovak spotify playlist jgslkgjklsd

Zdenka Tichotová has worked with Nedvedovci in folk-gospel band Spirituál Kvintent in the 70s and 80s. Nedvedovci often sung and wrote songs mourning not enough love in the world. or about freedom of the people here back when we had Lords here but also for example about freedom from the censorship of the Soviets. they are incredibly grounded and covered in the humane and miss Tichotová was bound to follow along with them

THAT's what i wanted for Zephyr more than anything. the fact that one could argue miss Tichotová's voice is "imperfect", not smooth, has traces of age in it makes it *even* better. because it sounds genuine. it's not some studio's idea of mechanical perfect, the One Good Take that then goes through editing and autotune and what not, it's Real and Honest

so that is also what i consider when choosing voice claims for my guys- some history of the voice, what the character symbolizes...

──── ⭒ ADMITTEDLY not the most organized group, if you were to place the seven of them in a room, they'd probably rip each other apart limb by limb (with no hesitation as well). a dangerous mix of harmonious, hysterical, and absolutely fucking ridiculous, they're probably not the best to choose when it comes to people you want to be secret agents, but also, they didn't get to decide!

agent 0. with dry sarcasm as his true forte and a knack for everything science, jang siwon is, in the others words, the most important member of the team. the designated agent #0 and assigned captain, he's the sole member responsible for getting everyone out of the crazy shit they put themselves in. he can often be seen stopping arguments and dissolving tension, sometimes he starts the altercations himself, but only on rare occasions!

agent 28. often used as the "team bait" in most scenarios, nicholas pham has built up a reputation for being a master of the con, deceiving people just seems to be a natural skill of his. people always find time to question how the titular agent #28 has time to be flirting with pitiable bartenders and also bust cyber-enabled financial crimes all in one go, but a magician never tells, in his case at least.

agent 72. known for yelling and getting into much more trouble than he should, tsui renshu seems to be focused on only two things, using his fists by any means necessary, and insulting his team whatever chance he gets. having been on his own since he was thirteen, the appointed agent #72 definitely has some unchecked anger issues that have become.. horrible over the years, but he's much too busy kicking ass (in a more figurative way) to care.

agent 14. highly notorious for busting through maximum security databases, nosaka haru seems to have no other interests expect for his usual tech savvy activities, as the elected agent #14, he is not your usual black hat hacker, he would actually be considered a gray hat hacker, one who does do illegal stuff yes, but it's for the good of society! (on most occasions). in the team, he's the usual reserved introvert who doesn't speak up unless he wants to be a smart ass, which is pretty much all the time.

agent 31. described as having a sharp memory and a personality as cold as ice, mathematical prodigy huang huifen is a very much laidback, casual member of the team, the deputed agent #31 is the one who solves all the problems. though cunning and occasionally mischievous, he's definitely not the most aggressive of the team, he rarely, if all, gets into physical altercations (save for a few times ren said some distasteful things).

agent 97. notable for his tendency to stress bake and saying things without clearly thinking, kang minsu is the last person you would expect to be an undercover agent trying to bust illegal financial conspiracies, but hey, there's always a time for everything! the overly energetic agent #97 is a..character, someone who you'd never expect to be as good at calculus as he truly is. if he has to calculate or over analyze situations, he will! it's how his brain works!

agent 55. having been labeled as an "attraction" and "a strange archetype", han yunseo is the youngest yet seemingly brightest of the team. a love for astronautical engineering and known despiser of the current cps system, the assigned agent #55 simply wants to do the right thing, unfortunately, he ended up in the wrong place. he isn't exactly doing the right thing, but he enjoys believing he is.

How I'd Do Scooby-Doo

Since the introduction of HBO's Velma, I've been thinking about how I'd go about an adult Scooby-Doo show.

For one, Scooby is a must. He's the face of the entire franchise & there is no Scooby-Doo show without him.

Next, I'd keep the gang mostly the same as they've always been. Maybe update their wardrobes. Possibly give Velma a cute bob cut.

Something like this would be cute & would keep to her general style.

Maybe give her a red vest jacket & a beret? She'd look cute in a beret. Knit orange top with a loose pile collar, long loose, slightly puffy sleeves with buttoned cuffs that go about halfway up the forearms. Modest, but not frumpy. Keep the red skirt, possibly make it plaid; high-waisted, double button. With a pair of black bike shorts or tights underneath. Maybe give her boots with tall orange socks when she's wearing the shorts. No heels. It's impractical when your job involves a lot of walking or running around.

In fact, give them all shoes or boots built for running or hiking. Yes, even Daphne. Just because they're functional doesn't mean they have to look ugly.

Keep the same overall rounded design of Velma's face with freckles.

Other than that, make the whole gang like a mix between What's New Scooby-Doo, Mystery Incorporated, & the episode ScoobyNatural.

Except, make Fred a little less oblivious & maybe less obsessive over traps. Instead, add to his fascination with it by making him also very interested in Rube Goldberg machines, mechanics, & even a little bit of engineering. Not necessarily in a scientific way, more so a 'he can see how it all fits together' way. And the strategizer of the group.

He must also be a himbo & dadfriend! I will have no arguments!!

Keep Daphne as resourceful with a mind for guerilla science & combat. And the karate muscle. Now, that doesn't mean that she won't get kidnapped every once in a while, because even masters of combat can be caught off guard sometimes.

Fred & Daphne are in a steady relationship, while Shaggy & Velma had tried it for a bit, but instead of it ending in a fight like in Mystery Incorperated where, let's be honest, Velma was being a control freak; here she's a mature adult, so they just broke it off amiably after realizing that they just didn't mesh in a romantic way. They joke about it & rib each other every once in a while.

They also poke fun at Fred & Daphne too when they get shmoopy doopy. Meanwhile, Scoob snickers in the back. There's no shortage of good-natured ribbing in this group. Maybe even have a few episodes where Fred & Daphne just go on a date in the beginning & don't really come back until later. Like, when shit's serious, of course the rest of the Gang calls them & informs them what's happening & Fred & Daphne make a b-line to their location, but if the case doesn't seem to be too dangerous, they'll try to handle it themselves.

Keep Velma the levelheaded momfriend & a lover of mysteries, puzzles, riddles, & all that. Keep her loving mystery novels while maybe Daphne's more a fan of true crime novels.

Velma likes broad-shouldered men & let her like them, but absolutely don't make her a simp like in that one movie where she was so dumb over that super villain. *shudders* No.

Maybe she wants to become a detective or private investigator? I'm not sure. I could see her taking classes in the day.

No! A forensics detective! She carries around a waist bag or fanny pack full of investigative supplies such as liminol spray with glasses, a blacklight, finger print powder, a magnifying glass, things like that. Maybe she has a microscope tucked away in the van?

Also, a hacker/programmer. She's the software girl, while Fred & Daphne are the hardware guys. They work together to do some pretty amazing stuff.

And the rest of the group get pretty good at this stuff too just through osmosis. Same with figuring out the mysteries. I don't want it to just be Velma. They've been doing this stuff for years, let them all get good at it. Sure, Velma's the best, but have the others pick up things that she misses just due to their minds working differently.

Shaggy & Scooby are damn near perfect. Shaggy being a skill monkey like in the old show with lots of little talents like ventriloquism & throwing his voice.

Also, someone had the idea of Shaggy being a war vet & I'm just like??? That's awesome???

Now I'm like, what if Scooby was a K9 Unit? Shaggy could've been his K9 Handler. Like, Scoob has been with Shaggy since he was a puppy, but he enlisted at the same time as Shag.

They're actually both super deadly in a fight, but they've both chosen to avoid it whenever they can. And are super protective.

Dude... what if they're not actually cowards & instead they react the way they do due to PTSD? Hell, maybe Shag has a cannabis prescription to help with his nerves & he's trying to get to a point where he doesn't need it anymore?

That could be a very interesting arc to focus on.

And, yes, I think that Fred, Daphne, & Shag would all have varying types of engineering knowledge. Fred's more the traditionally knowledgeable one while Daphne & Shag are more the ones who can make shit outta anything. Though, Daphne is more so due to just having the head for it. Meanwhile, Shag knows so much because of a combination of redneck engineering & Marines just being absolutely batshit, ya'll. One of their mottos is "If it looks stupid, but works, then it's not really stupid."

I'm serious, man. A redneck marine would likely be borderline mad scientist & I don't know why this absolute reality hack hasn't been exploited the shit out of yet. I've watched redneck engineering vids & it's like, "Why does this work?? Just... HOW?! What kind of technoturgical voodoo is this?!?!"

Moving on, as the show would go on, bring in the Gang's relatives like in the old shows every once in a while.

But more than that, in season 2, bring in Scrappy-Doo as part of the gang.

He needs to be scrappy & brave, if naive. Remember that he's a puppy. He's going to make dumb decisions & be annoying sometimes. He loves & idolizes his Uncle Scooby, but he quickly has to learn that his uncle isn't exactly how he thought he'd be.

If we go with Scooby & Shaggy having been in the military, we could say that part of the reason that Scrappy looks up to his uncle so much is due to the stories he heard about him. Both as part of the Scooby-Doo Gang & as a K9 Unit/war hero.

But the thing is, both Scooby & Shaggy are traumatized from the experience. (I actually kinda wonder how many confirmed kills they have.) Maybe they're both working through it, but it's just really tough. If something legitimately dangerous happens, then they act instinctively to protect those around them, but if it's just them alone even together, then it triggers their flight response. Like, they do this because they implicitly know they can trust the other to not only be able to handle themselves, but also to protect them should the other need it.

Like, they aren't just best friends. They're brothers-in-arms. Soldiers from the same unit. This is a relationship that's been forged in fire. Thier trust in each other is absolute. And their teamwork is outstanding even when they're running on pure instinct.

Maybe the reason why they rejoined the Gang is a desire to face their issues through exposure? I see the rest of the Gang as being hyperaware of this & are always there for them, frequently giving the pair outs if they don't think they can deal with it & maybe Shag & Scoob actually take it a couple of times, but always come back due to a desire to keep trying?

Anyway, highlight how the creators tried to make Scrappy more like Daphne, Velma, & Fred when they were gone from the group, but make it clear that it's because he's a kid & really admires them & wants to be more like them. He messes some things up acting this way, but the Gang are supportive & start teaching him how to do better.

That way, he can learn how to figure out who he is & what makes him special.

I'd also like to see Scrappy get grounded by Scooby or one of the others for being too reckless & running into things without thinking.

Maybe if he does something really stupid, they threaten to send him back home if he doesn't straighten up? Same when things get really risky.

Like... I just don't want to see anything like what happened in the 1st live action Scooby Doo movie.

The Gang were complete sacks of shit in that for what they did. They didn't even take the kid back home to his mom! They just... left him on the side of the road in the middle of the freaking desert! For getting too excited & peeing on someone!

That pissed me off! Like, dude! He's a puppy!! What's wrong with you!?

Worst part is, I'd never minded Scrappy & never even knew that he was so hated, so when I saw it, it was just... It was very bad, ya'll...

Now, onto the actual show. I'd mostly keep with the old formulae, but do it more like Mystery Inc in that there's an overarching plot. Still some episodic episodes, but also plot.

However, it wouldn't just be guys in masks & thefts & business fraud. It'd also be actual murders where there is no ghost or ghoul to take the blame & also instances where it really is the supernatural causing problems. I mean, it wouldn't all be murders either, but ya know. Just a bit of variety is all I'm asking for. Hell, maybe have a cereal killer or 2?

Don't shy away from the dark stuff or the blood, but don't be overly gruesome either. It feels too much like you're going for shock value if you do that.

This way, it'd have more of a ScoobyNatural & murder mystery feel to it. Initially, the first instance of the gang learning that spooks & spectres are real, they react like they did in ScoobyNatural. (Maybe they speculate a bit at some point about how maybe that's the reason that so many criminals use ghost stories to get away with their crimes? Because there's actually a grain of truth to some of them?)

Anyway, nervous breakdowns, denial, but eventually they realize that people are relying on them & all crying & whining about it does is put more people in danger. Maybe make the episode a direct reference to ScoobyNatural & have hunters there teach them how to fight the baddy?

Like, 1st season, just regular Scooby-Doo shenanigans but with more adult themes, 2nd season, introduce real supernatural activity & monsters.

Make it a REAL making of a hero moment! One of those moments where their decision, right then in that very second, makes them or breaks them! Showing all around exactly what they're made of! Forged in fire! In fact... wouldn't it be the most interesting if, despite everything, it was the most "cowardly" of the bunch that ends up stepping forward first to be the bravest?

After all, courage is not necessarily the absence of fear but the ability to forge ahead to do what's right in spite of it.

Make it sort of a metaphor for growing up & becoming adults. Things aren't always gonna end so well as they're used to. Maybe have some of the perps escape sometimes to come back later? Just to change things up a bit. Maybe... some of them even succeed in their plans...

From then on, they slowly settle into being both freelance private investigators & paranormal investigators. Slowly, over time, they get better at both.

And, yes, I do think that it should be an actual job that they get paid for. Like, most of their cases should be a result of being hired. However, some should also be a result of them walking in & being, like, "We've got a mystery on our hands!" Because they're good people.

But in the cases where they just sort of walk in without being hired, their policy is to do it pro bono. Because it's not fair to charge someone for a service that they didn't ask for. On the other, other hand, there would still be people who'd insist on paying their service fee, if for no other reason than because they are very grateful for their help.

Moving on, it turns out that Shaggy has a mind for languages & research, especially old languages. This helps them with researching whatever they need to. And I wanna go deep into culture & mythology & folklore & legends.

Just different, but the same.

I also kinda want there to be an arc where Shaggy is turned into a werewolf a la Scooby-Doo & the Reluctant Werewolf. So, the Gang spends, like, a season trying to find a way to turn him back & it's about Shaggy's character growth. He goes through some things, trying to get used to all these new instincts, especially the predator ones & the not being able to be a vegetarian anymore without dying slowly thing.

Because wolves are carnivores with werewolves being obligate omnivores in human form. They also absolutely require meat. Especially, red meat. Red meat once a day to keep healthy. In the end, Shag settles on mostly pescatarianism, only indulging in other meats on occasion beyond daily red meat.

At the same time, maybe the Gang meets another werewolf who's going through an even tougher time than Shaggy & they join the gang for a while in hopes of finding a cure, but when they do, there's only enough for one of them & Shaggy, realizing that being a werewolf isn't so bad for him, he gives the cure to the other character & accepts that this is just part of his life now. Maybe it's Shaggy's girlfriend, Googie, from the movie & she ends up joining the gang!?

And maybe it turns out that he had a dormant werewolf gene & then something happened to activate it. Maybe something like a full reboot of Scooby Doo & the Reluctant Werewolf? Like, 1st generation werewolves always slowly go crazy over time & can't control themselves, eventually becoming feral, but Legacy werewolves are born with the gene & so their bodies & minds are better built to handle it. So, technically, Shaggy is a Legacy werewolf with a dormant werewolf gene, while Googie was a new 1st generation werewolf who only recently got bitten & that's why she's having so much worse of a time of it than Shaggy.

Shaggy actually thinks it's pretty cool because he finds that he has an even closer connection to nature than he ever had before & understands it in a way that he'd been unwilling to beforehand. Like, he'd been unwilling to accept that nature needed predators & death & that it could be as cruel as it was beautiful. He now totally gets the whole hunter vs poacher argument that his southern cousins used to have with him.

He also understands Scoob on a fraternal level now & that's super cool, man.

He still has issues with his PTSD, but not as much as before as being a werewolf makes him feel more protected & secure. More prepared to handle things. Not to mention his instincts.

So, the next season's sideplot would be about Shaggy learning about what it really means for him to be a werewolf. All the history & culture, & all the baggage that comes with being a werewolf. Like, do not sugarcoat, but also do not demonize. Perhaps being a werewolf opens up the world a bit for them? Giving them a new perspective? Like, supernatural society.

It isn't until, like, mid season that he realizes that he considers the Gang his pack & Fred as alpha, which is just wild for him to consider, but he quickly acclimates to the new line of thinking & becomes comfortable with it.

Yes, he's more aggressive than before & he's learning how to handle that & he tends to wolf out a little bit when he gets angry, but overall, he's still the same chill, laid back dude he always was, just seen through a new lens.

Also, going full wolf on the full moon, he turns into the wolfed out form from Wednesday. I really like how they did it in that show.

At the same time, any other time besides the full moon, he just grows claws & canines to show his wolfish side.

Which, BTW, it'd be super cool to have crossovers like with Guess Who Scooby Doo. Including a Wednesday crossover where they meet Wednesday & possibly the other Addamses after several years.

Or Ghostbusters (original recipe) or Batman or, to mix things up a bit, Danny Phantom!

Which, btw, I feel obligated to remind people that Scooby-Doo & Batman canonically exist within the same universe...

Let that sink in. (Also, it means a possible Constantine crossover.)

Cool would also be an introduction to monster/supernatural society like I mentioned before, where there is a monster underground. That not all monsters are evil beasts. That the ones they fight are generally rogues or special cases or criminals or radicals or have other extenuating circumstances.

There's still a lot of these rogues, mind, but that's just the way of it sometimes.

Also, reboots of Ghoul School, 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo, Zombie Island, Witch's Ghost, & stuff like that.

These, of course, would only take place after the ScoobyNatural reference episode.

SLAYYY I haven't posted anything at all in awhile SO! I'm gonna info dump about Starscream and my personal like story for him that I have planned out

This is more like a mixture of different concepts and continuities of Starscream and how I personally see him!!!

TW: after the pictures there WILL be mentions of @bus3 so if you don't wanna know about his like backstory and stuff like that please don't read that section!

First up, his full appearance! Yes it may seem a bit wonky how I colored it BUT it was all intentional, I'll explain in a second why I gave him the different colored optics BUT. his shoulder pad thingies are a reference to coronation Starscream where he has the purple shoulder pads. Originally I was going to make the pads PURPLE but I changed on that idea since it would add too many colors to Starscream's already colorful appearance.

I gave him a heart on his little forehead thingy because I thought It would be cool if that could represent the Decepticon logo type deal

I mixed IDW TAAO Starscream with a tiny bit of armada screamer, again, I thought it'd be cool. His hands are also build like TFP Starscream's, he's got CLAWS

At first they were like simple little kitty paws but then they EVOLVED and so now he's got that TFP drip

IM ALSO GOING TO EXPLAIN HIS EYES, his eyes are like that cause 1 I thought they were cool and 2 in some IDW comics I saw that he had yellow eyes kind of like some versions of Optimus or Soundwave, I thought it'd be cool to make a yellow/gold eye type deal and then the other eye red because it's also cool and 3 I'm indecisive.

Next up is Starscream facts before I go on to explain his short backstory

So like he is trans FTM, I have an unfinished design for that aswell

He's a lot more empathetic than usual screamers

Kinda like armada Starscream where he was friends with Alexis

Starscream has a link to his trine(skywarp and Thundercracker) through his spark which is swaggy

Megatron had convinced Starscream to join the Decepticons because Starscream was leader of the air command on Cybertron, who also studied Science and a bit of history. And also star joined the cons because he was tired of being treated like he was just some tool. Megatron was like a father figure to Starscream at first. After some time Starscream started realizing how many holes Megatron's leadership, Starscream's respect for the bot started fading as he started snapping and acting more arrogant n shi towards Megatron which lead to Megatron beating the spark out of Starscream more and more often, leaving him absolutely BEAT UP and so like it started becoming worse, Megatron started mentally manipulating his second in command, emotionally aswell, this lead Starscream to fear Megatron, to the point that Starscream having his negative thoughts like anxiety etc basically calling those thoughts "Megatron's voice". When Megatron almost died Starscream still brought Megatron to safety.

So Starscream kept being loyal to Megatron, slowly planning his downfall, Megatron knew about this, knowing Starscream isn't trustworthy. Then other Decepticons like shockwave and Soundwave would degrade him or make fun of him aswell. This made Starscream have cool little trust issues. When Starscream reunited with Jetfire he was finally relieved at the fact someone didn't treat him like literal trash- BUT! since all of Starscream's trauma he was kind of aggressive towards Jetfire, which resulted in Jetfire leaving to join the Autobots which made Starscream have abandonment issues aswell.

I got, like… two more things to make it complete for me, which is replacing the sofa with the Heartslaybul one (I am missing one (1) large gem and this game REFUSES to drop it for me, it’s been weeks 😤) and replacing the rug under the sofa with the Diasomnia one. Thank god we got the event bonus for Book 6 dropping because my thaumarks was in the TRENCHES making all this damn furniture 😭

But I want Jamil to think of Ramshackle as his new home so I work to keep my man happy! 😂

Things that rock about the Guest Room addition:

You can watch the students interact with furniture and then randomly fight each other

Building your room theme around certain characters’ dorms and/or style preferences causes them to say different stuff each time they visit

Raising your card’s level above whatever cap it is through Friendship levels

HGTV enthusiasts love playing designer (it’s me, I’m the HGTV enthusiast)

Gives you something else to work towards in between events other than mindless lesson grinding

The Crafter’s Gauntlet is a fun way to flesh out your roster since they force you to use certain characters for the battles

Easy General Mission accomplishments through the making of furniture and accumulation of Room Tokens = more gems for pulls

Things that suck about the Guest Room addition:

Placing furniture is very clunky and awkward; you can’t rotate things how you’d like all the time, there’s unavoidable dead space, and some shit just looks off-center no matter what you do

Material drop rates SUCK ASS. So, just like the stingy lesson drops

They absolutely need to label, with words, what gems drop on certain days because the color difference between Scarabia & Heartslaybul / Pomefiore & Octainville is too subtle

If you place too many of the same type of furniture down your comfort level drops, so you have to mix it up even if it’s not aesthetically pleasing to do so

Being forced to craft furniture you will never use just to raise your room rank. Materials are too scarce and thaumarks are too precious for all dat

It’s ambiguous as hell trying to figure out what actually increases the rate in which your Friendship level goes up. I only ever get “Good” with each invite no matter what I do

Overall tho, pretty fun! I want to see what other folks do with their guest rooms, so if you got a layout you’re proud of, show it to me! 😄

short answer: the fanarts that came out like immediately after ep 22 aired. then the barrage of extra content i found out this year

long answer:

the lack of information mixed with fan's interpretations of atsushi's character and overall a growing necessity to ship the matsus with other characters. at the time people had very little to work with, the show was sparse with introducing new characters since they often if not always were 1 offs that we weren't sure that would appear again (they changed this in later seasons ofc but we didn't know that at the time) so people got attached to those 1 offs. and naturally with fandoms people want to explore the concepts of characters dating you know the roll. but they had little to work with in the main cast. so they turned to the 1 offs. so when ep 22 came out people interested interested in shipping stuff saw atsushi and went insane. despite having almost nothing people still made interesting and fun dynamics with what they had! :-P this is where the most varied takes on atsushi come from, and it's honestly rlly fun to look back at fanart and fics from this time because people had super different perceptions of this One Guy that showed up for like 6 seconds total. some people thought of him as a cool regular guy that liked totty, some thought he was some sort of millionare trying to buy todomatsu's love, and so on. anything was possible really, they made shit up on the spot and there was nothing that could tell them otherwise. :-P and i remember back then i didn't have like, a personality in mind for atsushi either? or a specific dynamic, i just liked seeing them together and what people came up with s1 ends, and a few months pass and i'm not really that interested in the show but i still like it, i'm not keeping up with new media like hesokuri wars and i miss stuff like the atsushi set, etc. season 2 comes, i'm haphazardly watching it more as a casual viewer, and then it ends.

And then the movie . Ohhh the movie.

i went a crazy insane and i think that's where the genuine interest for the character and the ship started. like i'm writing this now and my mind is listing all the shit off my brain like they really gave the guy: -new lines -smug personality -HISTORY. WITH THE MAIN CAST. -new highschool design -rivalry type of dynamic and direct interaction with todomatsu like it was a game changer!!!!!! i was so excited!!!!! and 3 days later i forgot about it and didn't think about the movie or show again. :-P i wasn't caught up with all the extra media content via the games and i wasn't involved with the fanbase either so it just forgor.

until. 2023. i watched the 3rd season, i got hyperfixated with the show and now i WAS invested in the extra media, and i saw all the sets he had and all the interactions he had with totty on those and then i saw the skit in the 3rd season. and i was like wow they really pandered to the people liking the ship huh. lol thats funny. cute even. i still like them but i don't think i'm as insane about them as i used to be lol (denial)

and unlike back when i first started liking the ship now we had information about atsushi, not his entire life ofc but just enough to make a coherent dynamic with the provided info and fill in the rest. :-P and my mind went wild until with ideas until i figured out a dynamic i personally liked and could reflect in my drawings!!!

so yeah. i think this is the most invested i've been in a ship in a long time and that's because my interest for it has been cooking in the back of my brain for so long that my brain exploded like a pressure cooker and this is the result.......

So, me and @wondrous-art kind of went insane and just started talking about this TMNT AU where Splinter raised them in the forest outside of New York City instead of in the sewers of the city, and now it's become its own monster. So here are the turtle designs and April and Master Splinter. Infodump about the turtles in this AU below the read more.

Leonardo

Leo's an eastern diamondback terrapin and he's the oldest at 15 and the one "in charge" because he's the oldest. He fights with a bokken and is working on using two of them because Splinter didn't have access to a whole ass blacksmith, so the boys get wooden weapons. Leo's got some issues with OCD, mostly he's got hurt-obsession and has intrusive thoughts about accidentally hurting his family, and his rituals are based around keeping that from happening. He likes his long mask tails and thinks they make him look like a hero. I tried to combine a bit of 2003, 2012 and Rise Leo so he tries to be responsible but he's still a teenager and goofs around and makes jokes. He wants to be a dang hero!! Anime is cool! He's especially interested in learning about Japan because it's Splinter's culture, and Splinter raised them with aspects of Japanese culture. His main interest is still training to become better at ninjutsu, but he's also got Heavy Interest in anime. He's the family medic.

He argues with Leo a lot because Leo wants to do the right thing and Raph thinks they shouldn't get involved with stuff that isn't their business. Again, I tried to get a mix of the Raphs, so he's got anger issues but the one thing that overrides that is the protectiveness over his family. He does a lot of weight training, climbing, and hiking for fun. He's also the family cook! Splinter taught him. He likes to pretend he'd rather be alone but really, he sticks to his family unless he's trying to blow off steam. Because wood turtles estivate, he's sensitive to the heat and has passed out during training in the summer before. He was not happy about that. Raph fights with a wooden jutte and calls Splinter "Oyaji" because he's a rude little shit. He'll also call Leo "aniki" when he's trying to make a point.

Donatello

Donnie's an eastern spiny softshell turtle and 14 years old. He can breathe underwater! But this also means his above-water lungs aren't as strong and he's got asthma. He's autistic and uses his bo staff as a stim half the time and chewing on the ends of his mask the other half of the time. His interests are mainly engineering, insects, and biology, but he's always interested in whatever modern technology Splinter lets him get a hold of. He refuses to wear knee and elbow pads because they squeeze his joints and he doesn't like the sensation of them. He's got a sarcastic side and when he's serious he can get snippy. He would have been the family medic but he saw blood exactly One Time and hit the floor. He's fine when it comes to any blood other than his family's, but god forbid one of his brothers bleed or he's out like a light. He's got little webs between his fingers and toes that help him, he's the best swimmer in the whole fam.

Michelangelo

The babiest baby, a spotted turtle at the age of 13. He's sensitive to temperature and is constantly complaining that it's too hot or too cold, there is no good temperature. He's got ADHD bad and keeps at least two fidget toys in his belt at all times. He's an artist and likes to paint and draw, mostly abstract paintings but he likes to draw things he's seen around the woods or cool machine designs that he asks Donnie to try and make. He's got the URGE to dig during the summers to try and stay cool. He's the most emotionally intelligent and opens up easily about how he's feeling and can usually figure out how his brothers are feeling as well. If he cries it is Everyone's Problem. He doesn't like being treated openly like a child, but he still does things like climb into his brother's beds after nightmares, climb all over them, ask for bites of their food, and generally he just wants to be given Attention and Love at all times. He calls Splinter "Otochan" unless his brothers are calling him, then he switches to "Tosan" like them. He'll occasionally call his brothers "onii-san" but it's when he's trying to be cute and get something. He has nunchucks that he likes to spin when his hands aren't busy.

For Edling Week 2022. Day 7: Fanwork of fanwork | AU | Crossover | Headcanon | Free

Sort of mixing two prompts together with a Miraculous Ladybug AU, because why not. Artwork instead of a one-shot fic this time.

Some further thoughts for this AU below the cut:

I'm not the best at coming up with original names so I'll go the easy route and have them be Fullmetal Bug and Hēi Māo (is that correct? I don't speak Chinese, I had to look it up. Feel free to correct me).

The ladybug yoyo is actually attached to Ed's metal hand.

Also, as a civilian, his prosthetics look different.

Regarding their superhero suit designs, I tried to base them off slightly their main canon outfits because obviously I'm very original. So, Hēi Māo keeps the loose pants and the strips around his forearms, while Fullmetal Bug keeps the iconic red coat (except on the back it's got a ladybug symbol instead of the Flamel).

It's set in modern-day Amestris.

They're trying to get the Peacock miraculous back from a creepy-as-fuck guy that calls himself Father as his villain name.

Unlike in the show though, instead of akumatising random civilians who are having a bad day, he always sends one of the same six minions to every attack (Pride, Lust, Envy, Gluttony, Sloth, and Wrath; although luckily, only one at a time. For the first season at least).

It's reverse lovesquare! Fullmetal Bug has a crush on Hēi Māo while Ling has a crush on Edward. I just think it fits better that way.

Ling is still a royal (though Xing is a constitutional monarchy so he doesn't give that much of a shit about it) and he's actually an exchange student for a year. So his superhero persona is on a time limit to defeat Father.

Ed and Al live with Izumi and Sig.

And Ed is trans because he’s always implicitly trans in all of my fanworks even when it’s not mentioned.

Hohenheim gave them the miraculouses (in secret, like in ML canon). He was planning on giving Alphonse the Black Cat but some unspecified stuff happened, Ling ended up with it instead and he turned out to be a great fit.

Speaking of Al. When at some point Ed finds out that Hohenheim gave him the miraculous (and after the angry shouting, a punch to the face, etc), he gets to choose temporary miraculous holders—his first choice is obviously his brother. He gives him the Dog miraculous because Al is a cat person and he thinks it's funny.

Winry figures out both of their identities after a couple of months. She thinks the whole situation is pretty hilarious so she doesn't say shit to either of them.

Lan Fan always knew. She's the only one seemingly unaffected by the ML face blindness. She didn't say anything because she simply understood that it had to be a secret.

The Mustang Unit are police detectives and, unlike ML canon, are actually, actively trying to find out Father's identity and arrest him.

They collaborate with the superheros, but also it's a bit of a gray area since 1) technically Fullmetal and Hēi Māo are fighting outside of the law and 2) they're very obviously teenagers. So to work around this, the Central Police Department has Mustang keep and eye on them so that they don't do anything more illegal than what it's been agreed they need to do to defeat the akumas.

(Mustang doesn’t really care though. He mostly just ribs them from time to time. Hawkeye and the rest of the team keep tabs on them to make sure that they’re doing alright and to offer them an adult ear to talk to about their troubles if they need it.)

Later on Greed appears on the scene (OG Greed, with the Devil's Nest gang, although they're not chimeras here). He basically becomes Fullmetal and Hēi Māo's trump-card since he also wants to see his dad go down.

screw it, enough of this professional shit! ITS TIME TO TALK ABOUT MY SONIC AU

What originally what a shit-post au called "Size-swap"( which is.. exactly what the name entails) became something I really like and am having a super fun time with it. (Still a shit-post au though.)

I literally JUST made this about a day ago at 12:00 midnight so this is fresh as beans type stuff here folks.

So I'm calling is FusionSize Au, though SizeMixFusion or FusionSwap is also kind of cool (but its too long? I'd if you have any suggestions tell me!)

What type of au is this?

-It's a swap au! It takes two main components of a character which is their size and personality, and "fuses" it together!

Now, from there it gets complicated (I had to make a chart to do this) but size and personality are two different categories! So they can be swapped independently of each other.

Size swaps.. well it swaps a characters size. If a character's size is correlated to a specific power (think Metal Sonic's multiple forms) then the character that received that swap gets that power too! (And the former character looses that ability.)

For Personality FUSIONS (reason I say fusion is because I'm not "swapping out" their personalities. I actually fuse them together- creating a whole need persona. (the closest example would be a paint mixer. your not swapping paints. your putting them together and creating a new color.)

(P.S. If a character's ability is tied to their personality (i.e. techy character does tech, or fighter character is strong because they fight a lot- then that's when I give them that extra "power". I mostly use this for eggman or tails, since their personas involve that smart-kid-mechanic. Since the ability is tied to their persona, It can be fused with the new character! (stuff like this can't apply o other characters who don't really have a logical tie to their powers.)

if you're wondering, fusions (or what I call "mixes" for short) take character a's personality as a "core" and then mixes character b personality ontop of that. (like sprinkes.) I'm saying this so we all understand that character a's personality isn't "lost" rather there's just MORE to it. Though, I like to play with this as some personalities as depending on how much you mix in, you'll get some interesting results.

When swapping, I like to add rules such as:

-Antagonist swap first (So I don't go overboard, I have antag onists (note; antagonists NOT villains. ) swap/mix with their respective protagonist first.

-First come first serve (If character x's game came first, then chracter b must swap with them firs before going to character c. (mostly applies to characters with multiple antagonists.)

-Can only swap/mix once ( ex: sonic already mixed and swaped with 2 characters? but there's another antagonist that can swap with him? well too bad! Sonic can't swap/mix with that one. Go find another character to do that with.)

-had to meet or interact or be related (story wise) to some degree. (I'm not swapping Metal Sonic with the Biolizard.)

-Whatever works (sometimes a character has no antagonist or correlating character to start from. Those times call for the "throw it at the wall and hope it sticks" saying.)

-swap-swapping can happen only once. (In order to avoid having both a mix (personality fusion) and a swap (size-swap) be of a single character I just... took the og swap, and then.. swapped it again a second time. That's how you get a size-tails mix-eggman Sonic.)

is it overly complicated to a point that I may be the only one who understands how this works? yeah, probably. Though, I'm having fun so it don't matter to much.

Also, once I finish the swaps, I create new changed lore and backstory specific to this world. SO not only is he characters swapped (and re-designed!) but so is the world surrounding them!

also when it comes to redesigns, I factor both mixes and swaps. So things get hectic, but this feels like a videogame/puzzle just trying to solve and figure out everything (I really did have to make that little chart).

PS: my shit-post swap au "Size-swap" was just there so I could make a giant Shadow the hedgehog. It was such a funny concept, yet for some reason the extreme size of a character can seriously change how they interact and view the world???)

Grimo's Invention Scrapbook

To a goblin a ‘scrapbook’ has a different meaning. In this instance its inventions he had to scrap, figuratively or literally, due to them not working as intended, working too well as intended, or leaving too big a body count to be explained away with a shrug, a few bribes, and a halfhearted ‘whups?’

Wind Up Smiley Boom-Boom

A large round ball with a big grin painted on it’s front, four mechanical spider-like legs, and a hole for a winding key in the back. It smells strongly of gunpowder.

“Right okay, so when Bilgewater first joined up with the Horde a lotta the orcs were kinda… iffy… on us. Sure they knew Gazlowe and they figured he was okay, but goblins had a bit of a rep for… well… stuffs.”

“So I figures ‘hey, get ‘em while they’re young’ right? Get the kids to like ya and you’ve got it made, so I gave toymaking a whirl! Smiley Boom-Boom, your happy bomb friend! Wind him up and have explosive fun for hours and hours!”

“Gave one to the orphans over in the Orgrimmar Drag JUST ONE AS A FREE SAMPLE MIND YOU and they wound it up and… well… the thing went great! Exactly as I designed it! It jumped up, laughed just right, then ran out of the orphanage, down to the outfitter’s shop, sang the countdown song and… well… that’s where I thought maybe I shouldn’t have made them actually able to… um… explode.”

“Ho-lee shit Garrosh was pissed! Had to go hide out in Bilgewater Harbor until the heat was off and sold the rest to the Gob Squad after I removed their voiceboxes. At least they did well as military ordinance against those Naga that kept getting up our asses in Azshara.”

Grimo’s Grabyango

A bottle of some green bubbling liquid. Occasionally it shakes violently. Smells strongly of plants and something acidic.

“So, engineering wasn’t working out for a bit during the whole Pandaria mess, so I figured that we gobbos got our start with good ol’ Kaja Cola right? Well the recipe hadn’t really been updated in ages, so why not try mixing up some stuff, give it to a peon, and see what happens?”

“I used Kaja Cola as the base and mixed in… eh, gimme a sec, lemme dig my notes out… yeah here we go. Two cups basilisk venom, a handful of goldthorn pulp, spirit residue I picked up near Kharazan that time, pinch of sugar, and supercharged the whole thing with some bottled arcane energy that fell off a cart heading outta Silvermoon.”

“Now THAT one Garrosh really liked… at first. Gave it to some thirsty peon at the northern gates of Orgrimmar and he grew about thirty feet tall and started smashing the shit outta the Night Elves that had been attacking us for cuttin’ down their damn trees. Oooooh yeah that got the big man sittin’ up and taking notice! … right up until the peon looked at him. Turns out that as a side effect he couldn’t really tell one small screamy squishy thing from another and… er… well, we kinda had to… kill him… after he killed a bunch of grunts, and smashed five shredders, and almost got Garrosh himself until he chopped the peon’s arm off with Gorehowl. Yeaaaaaaah, I had to go hide out in Bilgewater Harbor again.”

Titanstrike, New and Improved!

The rifle Titanstrike, originally made by the titan keeper Mimiron. It lost it’s power after being used to neutralize the fel poison of Sargeras’ Sword, but this version has several additions including an external power source, a new scope, and such. The barrel has several large scorch marks.

“Oh maaaaaaaaaan I can’t believe they wasted this beauty on that huge freakin’ sword stickin’ outta Sithilus! This gun was a masterpiece of engineering, even if a giant robot gnome made it! After that though it was a piece of scrap that I couldn’t even get to fire half the time… godsdamn tragedy I tells ya…”

“Well fuck that! I’m an engineer AND a goblin! If I can’t fix it, nobody can! … welp, I guess nobody can. I… well… hired someone to acquire it from the bank vault of the former owner, then I tried adding a new power source by draining the energy from storm elementals using this mote extractor doohickey I got off the auction house and stickin’ ‘em in a Tesla ball, put one of my own specialized scopes on it, and wired the whole thing up into a lightning rifle!”

“Yeah, um, it worked a bit too well actually. I pulled the trigger and the kickback blew me right through the wall and into the air! Sent me all over Orgrimmar anchored to the ground by a continuous blast of lightning coming from the barrel!”

“There I am about sixty feet in the air screamin’ blue murder while a seemingly endless stream of electricity tears holy shit outta the ground and buildings as I pass over ‘em, everyone below me freaking out and running for cover. As I pass Warsong Hold Sylvannas even comes out to find out what’s making all the racket only for her guards to shove her back inside and dive in after her right as the bolt tears up where they were standing. Good reflexes boys, ya deserve a raise.”

“Well, finally the power source DID run out and I… well… I was up in the air supported by fuck all. I tried to use my glider cloak to get to safety and wound up stuck on one of the spires at the city gates. Sylvannas had gotten out of the Hold at this point and she and Nathanos wanted to ask me some really uncomfortable questions about the gun… and then Nitika came up the stairs with Mola’ruam and… well shit if you think Sylvannas was pissed… Whoof…”

Fourth Wall Breaker

A strange device that, when it worked, looked like a sort of oversized television set with lots of extra dials and multiple antennas sticking out of it. It now looks like an oversized soda can that was crushed by a tauren, judging by the huge hoofprint on it.

“Okay, so our newest recruit is this Mag’har girl named Galdia right? Well, she’s always in a mood because she can’t go home to Draenor ‘cause of the whole time/space thing and normally I’d just tell her to get the fel over it but… well, she’s an orc and a warrior. They get over stuff by cuttin’ off heads. Kinda attached to mine ya see.”

“So, I figure fuck, if the gnomes can warp reality by accident it can’t be THAT hard, right? I (ahem) appropriate some gnome dimensional tech and get to work improving it. Few extra dials here, the recharged power source from my improved Titanstrike, couple extra (this baby needed a lotta juice,) a specialized communications array I ‘borrowed’ from some Draenei, then I flipped it on and gave it a go.”

“The screen flickered for a moment, then all of a sudden I’m lookin’ at this human chick… except she’s lookin’, well, a little too real. Glasses, ponytail, sitting in a big comfy chair, and she looks like she just saw a ghost. Well, we stare… then she screams, then I scream, then we both scream, then Nitika walks in and says ‘hey Grimo, there’s a cart outside sellin’ ice crea- WHAT THE FEL DID YOU DO?!’ and Mola’raum hears her and runs in too, then all four of us are screaming.”

“Now, see, I figure I musta made it TOO powerful and accidentally tuned into a higher plane of reality somehow. I figure I can modify it so that doesn’t happen again but its kinda hard to explain that in the heat of the moment… I try to switch it off ‘n tell them but Mola’raum and Nitika just nod to each other, then Mola grabs me ‘n holds me in a full nelson while Nitika kicks the invention over and stomps the crap out of it until the sparks stop! No respect for technology I tells ya…”

The SantaShredder 5000

A Sky Golem built during the War in Pandaria, repurposed as a holiday spokesman in order to bullshit the people of Orgrimmar out of their hard earned coin spread mirth and holiday cheer for a reasonable price!

"Okaaaaaaaaay, so this was a more... recent incident. For the longest time I used this Skyshredder to get around y'see... but I wanted somethin' I could stretch out in on long trips, so after we got some cash in the Shadowlands I invested in a Xiwyllag ATV and put the shredder in storage."

"Then back last Winter's Veil I had this great idea! Greatfather Winter is a big scam right? Get your kid's S.E.L.F.I.E. taken with Jolly Ol' Winter (for a fee) and have 'em give the old man their holiday wishes! Well, the orc that they normally had doin' it in Orgrimmar came down with the flu, so I got my shredder outta storage, painted it red, stuck a fake beard on it, and reprogrammed it for the whole 'Ho Ho Ho' schtick!"

"Worked great at first, some people thought it was fuckin' hilarious... then this mag'har kid shows up... ugh... thats where it all went fuckin' pear shaped. SantaShredder asked the kid what they wanted for Winter's Veil, and they said they wanted their parents to be able ta see feckin' Draenor again!"

"Now... I wanted realism right? I gave it the ability to calculate how likely a wish was able to be granted. Most kids? Easy as fuck! They wanted toys, pets, that kinda garbage... but a portal to another world in another timeline?! Odds were so low that the fucker COULDN'T calculate it, but it had to try!"

"I'm counting the take as I suddenly smell hot copper, then the kid screams and runs away as the Shredder starts shootin' sparks everywhere! It blew half it's fuses, fried it's punch card reader, spontaneously deleted the concept of 'Nice' I programmed it with, defaulted to 'Naughty' for everyone in range, and hit an 'out of coal' error... which made it reset to it's original Shredder programming..."

"Er... its original programming was 'kill the fuck outta everyone it saw as a threat.' In this case, a crossed wire changed that to 'kill the fuck outta everyone it saw as naughty,' which in this case was... everyone it could see."

"That was a fuckin' fiasco... good chunk of Orgrimmar got torn up by the thing before we could take it down! Little fucker even stomped one of my L.U.P.E. into scrap! I had to have my other dog go fetch Titanstrike from where I hid it after Nitika tried to swipe it again and blew the top half off, then threw the last of my Nutcracker Grenades down into it's engine!"

"It worked... but then Darkhoof took over and that fuckin' cow threw Titanstrike into the fucking VOID! DOES SHE KNOW HOW MUCH FUCKIN' GOLD I HAD TO PAY TO GET THAT DAMN GUN IN THE FIRST PLACE?! IT WAS AN ENGINEERING MARVEL AND SHE CHUCKED IT INTO THE FUCKIN' SHADOW REALM FOR NO DAMN GOOD REASON! NO APPRECIATION FOR TECHNOLOGY I FUCKIN' SWEAR THAT-..." (This continues for about ten minutes.)
