I woke up today and decided I wanted to spend 8hrs replacing all the legible Alternian text in Homestuck with the Hiveswap version. 

Left is old, right is new.

If you’re unfamiliar, Hiveswap’s Alternian alphabet reads left to right, top to bottom just like english, where as the original Alternian read right to left, bottom to top.

This is getting meta on a level that is weird even for homestuck

A tired adult human stands in their bedroom. It just so happens that today, the 13th of April, 2024, is the anniversary of Homestuck. Though it was fifteen years ago they started the grand adventure of this webcomic, and eight years since they finished it, only today will they scratch their previous session and return to 2009 to begin again.

Step by step, following the Upd8 as Hussie once more releases his greatest creation onto the world.

Who knows what will happen next?

So, @homestuckreplay is graciously hosting a grand scheme to replay Homestuck upd8 by upd8, using New Reader Mode in the Unofficial Homestuck Collection. And I'm mad enough to participate.

Not only that I'm also mad enough to one up this and downloaded the TUHC Time Machine Mod. It only allows me to read the updates at the time they were released by Hussie, so no cheating. (Did you know pages 8-16 release weren't out until like 11pm?! I'm suffering over here!!)

Anyways, I plan to use this blog to play along and post my reactions, memes, fanart, and even cosplay photos as they become relevant. I didn't hop in the last time until near the end of act 4, so i think it will be fun to take my time. I hope everyone else planning to join in the replay will play too!

btw, all trolls are bi/pansexual. its shown when karkat doesnt know what a homosexual is when john says he isnt one in page 2628 and when xefros suggests joey should flirt back with elwurd due to elwurd having obvious feelings joey but joey says that she isnt a lesbian and xefros doesnt know what that means and is confused on what that is or how that factors into anything. um. you might already know this but i just want you to know this incase you dont so that you dont accidentally delete requests like kanaya x karkat or something

this is probably a long shot and i should either try and take the time to find out what's wrong with my python, or i could ask the void

there's a mod for the UHC that replaces the beta kids names with the funny ones, john=zoosmell pooplord, dave=insufferable prick, etc.

there is also a script that lets you replace any word in homestuck with another word, and i was going to use it to replace the trolls names with the poll names so i dont have to keep manually changing them

problem is i just CANNOT get the script to work and i Also dont know what im doing

if anyone would like to run the script and generate the mod for me, and then like send me a dropbox link or smth with the .js file that would be Wonderful

theres the mod, i'll leave this post up until i either get it working or someone makes it for me

if someone does make it for me, send me a dm and ill give you the list of name replacemets
