I wish there was a tag for "Ageplay Dates" or "Ageplay Date Ideas." Maybe there used to be one before Tumblr tags went to hell. I've noticed as I'm tagging prompt posts that a lot of ageplay-related stuff is either raunchy-as-hell BDSM... or for literal children 😅 Where are my cute-as-fuck park dates, or pillow forts, or trips to Build-A-Bear?
While we're at it, maybe we could make a "SFW Ageplay" tag happen. Because sometimes I'm in the mood for spicy... but sometimes I just want cuddles with Daddy, you know?? In my local IRL kink scene there are more non-sexual ageplayers than sexual ones, but on the internet sexy ageplay seems to be not just the default, but the only. Agere tends to be SFW, but I stay out of those tags because I know many age regressors have a boundary about interacting with kinksters.
ANYWAY. I'm going to try to make #Age/Play Dates and #SFW Age/Play happen. Use them if you'd like <3 <3 <3

My thoughts on being trans and talkin about suckin n fuckin and kinky power exchange and all the stigmatized parts of our bodies is that it's good actually and encourages us to feel safe in our own skin and more free to be intimate even in less explicit ways, like holding hands or cuddling or comforting one another when we hurt or casual contact. It's good and a welcome part of any and all levels of respect both at the most raw sexual levels and the most demure realms of propriety.
Because like the conservatives and the queer hate xians and that whole lot are all about demonizing and damning us to be reduced to our genitals and who we fuck, only deigning to consider as distantly acceptable the sexless, neutered tranny that lives alone in purity. And they don't get to make that call, so that's kinda how come it still is a pretty revolutionary act to talk about how dining on girlcock or boypussy or whatever else is the finest of meals enjoyed only by the most refined palettes, or any of that stuff. We're making the most depraved kinks and sex casual and normal and so passe that the idea of objecting to something as ordinary as trans people holding hands or being married or kissing can't even begin to sound offensive, that our bodies are so thoroughly explored in such detail that trying to call anything we do sinful is ludicrous. No one gets to decide what point we get weird cept us, ya know?
Sure some people are gonna see me as a fetish object, but they won't do as near a good a job of it as my girlfriend or partner. That's a shortcoming that sucks for them and doesn't touch me. My only regret is they're jerkin it for free to a substandard fantasy, but whatever. Point is I get to be a good girl who gives tornado blow jobs in private and talk about it on Tumblr so me or someone else doesn't give a shit if I'm holding my wife and partners hands in public. Anyway that's the thoughts. Respect for our slutty troops and all that, don't let the purity police do you for thought crime.

this nyxlin drama lowkey reminds me of the time a zutara artist was run off tumblr because they drew aged up katara/zuko romantically, but I think it was actually angry kataang’s or e/riel’s -because they also drew gwynriel and e/riel’s were jealous- who were stirring up shit 😭
That would honestly make a lot of sense for how/why I didn't see many posts from them or overall in the Nyxlin tag when I was catching up on what happened. Pretty much every person (notably largely Elriels) who supported Elain Week's censorship got an insta-block from me if they weren't already. And I'm sure a decent amount of people blocked me from my stance on Elaingate, Rhys Week, and Nyxlin Week.
And good! You should block me. Seriously. Art has the right to be celebrated and appreciated, especially in the circumstances designed to do that for a specific character and dynamic! Character appreciation and celebration will never look the same to everyone, and just because it's not what you enjoy doesn't mean it stops being appreciative or celebratory. If you can't grasp that, you don't deserve access to my art anyway. You certainly don't deserve to be in my space, that's for damn sure. Kindly, get out.
Honestly, it kind of makes sense considering the overlap of canon rigidity, purity culture, and morality policing of fiction coming from sides of the fandom that generally can't accept criticism about their faves, or even things that go against what they want for their faves. They are terrified of creativity that doesn't give them what they want and it shows. It's the most Evangelical-ass shit ever, and it's fucking weird.
Like...for all intents and purposes, Nyx is an OC in any works that feature him. And I'd know, because I wrote an adult Nyx for my ongoing ACOTAR D&D campaign set 20 years after ACOSF. So yes, Nyx is twenty in my timeline, because it's writing and I can do what I want lol. I have no basis to write Nyx off of other than Rhys and Feyre. Which means...I'm still doing my own character-building to only less than I would for a completely new OC.
Let's compare, shall we?
Writing my OC Solara's backstory: Writing her parents from scratch ✔️ Writing her early childhood ✔️ Writing her trauma ✔️ Writing her adolescence and relationships ✔️ Writing her interests and adventures as she became an adult✔️ Writing her dynamic with her love interest and how she interacts with Prythian as a whole ✔️
Now obviously these are all at minimum influenced by/will be derivative of aspects of ACOTAR because, y'know, transformative works. But still, I made her.
Writing Nyx's backstory and how he is as a twenty-year-old adult: Writing his parents from scratch ❌ Writing his early childhood ✔️ Writing any trauma he might have ✔️ Writing his adolescence and relationships ✔️ Writing his interests and adventures as he became an adult ✔️ Writing his dynamic (collaboratively) with his love interest and how he interacts with Prythian as a whole ✔️
And this is a version of Nyx that I made. Yes, it's still influenced by canon, but if I put in 90% of the same effort to write him as an adult as I did a complete OC, we can acknowledge they're functionally the same.
It's not that people look at Baby!Nyx and instantly think he's perfect to be shipped with someone and there's something to be gleaned from canon about him in particular. We know nothing about Nyx as an individual. That applies to any Nyx ship.
The appeal, at least in my experience, to Nyx ships, including Nyxlin, is the dynamics at play around Nyx, i.e., his role as an eventual leader and powerful figure in the Night Court, the dynamics that affect Rhys and Feyre also extending to him, how the rest of Prythian/Illyria might view the first offspring of High Fae, Illyrian, and Made parents. It's about his circumstances, not him as a character because he is not a "character yet", he just exists!
People are just creative enough to consider those long-term effects on who he could become and how that interplays with other characters. I don't mean to be cruel, but genuinely, have these people never created an OC before? Have they never shipped anything outside of canon? Have they never read any fics featuring time travel, for example, as a plot point to get characters in the same era at the same time when otherwise the ship would not be able to happen? Are they that unfamiliar with making circumstances outside of SJM's canon to allow things to happen for fun?
Genuinely, the lack of creativity for all of us being in this for reading and writing is concerning.
Even just saying this and advocating for Nyxlin's right to be celebrated as well as Tamlin as a whole pretty much puts me in the position of having to tag this as pro-Tamlin. And I wouldn't even describe myself as anything other than Pro-Azriel and probably Pro-Nesta and Pro-Elain because I don't really dislike any characters. I'm equally as critical to all of them and if their good parts just sort of cancel out the bad or are only a bit outweighing one or the other...I don't actively dislike them, I'm just neutral about them.
But this fandom is so fucking polarized because of the toxicity and the Us v.s. Them, Morality Policing culture that's been festering, people can't even neutrally address something. People are harassed so quickly just for not understanding or being familiar with something, and then in the other court people do the harassing because they don't understand or aren't familiar with something the other party likes/dislikes. If don't utterly despise Tamlin, it's somehow considered supportive enough to qualify as "pro" to antis.
Too many people in this fanbase create this parasocial-adjacent attachment to these characters like they're real and have real feelings/boundaries that need to be protected. They are not! Characters can't be hurt by anything happening outside the narrative. Just because you personally do not like something/don't find it appealing or even find it discomforting does not mean it's morally objectionable. It's just not for you, and understanding that experiencing content not made for you is not an attack on you is kind of a necessary life skill.
This rant ended up way longer than I expected it to be, but anyway...y'all stay safe out there.

I’m coming back to the DC fandom after a break for a few years and it’s genuinely a baffling experience of like when the fuck did we start calling things batcest??? I don’t remember that ever being a term?? When did my popular basic staple ships that were everywhere (BruDick, JayDick, JayTim, etc) become like controversial?? When did this become a nuclear family??
I feel like I’m going a little crazy watching this wackass uptick in purity culture that feels especially palatable to me in the Batman/DC fandom. Like I was gone off to dabble in other fandoms and I came back and Tim Drake was canonically bi but everything else was on fire with a guy stabbed in the leg. Like people are banning me from my own house kind of situation.
You and many others anon, me included.
Not only they turned the bats and birds into a nuclear family and started harassing everyone who ships them, but they're also actively trying to do revisionism of fandom history by saying that the ships you mentioned have always been "controversial", and that it was a fringe community that used to ship them rather than the majority of people. Which couldn't be more false of course, but these people do not care about what's actually true or not and will keep coming up with more or less prettily worded bullshit to further their moral purity agenda.
We ARE talking about very basic ships which indeed were the foundation of the fandom (especially Brudick and Jaytim), and now shipping them earns you the "freak" badge, and the moment one of your ship posts goes above the 100 notes you're at risk of receiving mild to heavy harassment in the form of insults to suicide baiting to threats of doxxing. If it happens on Discord you might as well delete your account and start anew. This isn't in any way discouraged by tumblr itself - more and more anti harassment, "free shipping" blogs get termed while the censorship lovers thrive nearly as much as on twitter.
"Zero what are you saying twitter is way worse" Twitter is undeniably worse because its very format encourages misunderstanding and vitriol, but we can still post whatever we want on twitter. Whereas on tumblr showing one nipple is considered VM18, and if you even just mention your own history of childhood abuse you can get termed without previous warning, because a website in which CSA is even just brushed on is not safe enough for advertisers. I'm saying this because this culture of extreme censorship encourages anti-ship mentality and also encourages young queer people to police themselves, convinced that being perfectly pristine and sanitized is somehow the morally correct thing to do.
Oh and DC is at fault too. I talk about it at length here if you're interested in more of my yapping.

YOU THERE!!!!!! TUMBLR USER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tumblr media
Are YOU tired of how Tumblr treats trans people, particularly transwomen and transfemmes? Are YOU tired of how Tumblr treats people of color, particularly black folks? Are YOU tired of fandom trying to police the madeup bullshit you like to draw, write, or read about? Are YOU tired of all this fucking AI bullshit? Are YOU looking for a new online home to settle in?
Consider Pillowfort.social!
I’m not going to go into the nitty-gritty of how Pillowfort functions, because others have talked about that and explained it much better than I can (I recommend reading @/vergesm’s post here for a more general Pillowfort overview). What I’m going to do is explain what I, personally, get out of Pillowfort and why I enjoy it.
To preface, I’m not being paid to make this post or promote Pillowfort or anything. I wouldn’t think that needs to be said, but people make things up sometimes so idk. I’m writing pro-Pillowfort propaganda because I genuinely like the place and want to see it thrive. If you want to take a look at my own fort and get a feel for the place, you can do so here.
So with that out of the way – let’s talk about it!
Tumblr media
Pillowfort is quite a bit like Tumblr, in that it’s a blogging platform, but it’s got a few things that make it better than this hellsite imo. For one thing, you can post NSFW content there. Although I don’t draw much explicit stuff, it’s nice to be able to post art there without worrying I’ll get shadowbanned for a picture that’s just a lil too suggestive. It's nice to know that the option is there. Honestly, it’s freeing not to have to worry about that shit. And it’s also really cool that there’s a built-in system for marking certain posts as NSFW, because as well as being able to mark your own posts as NSFW, you can choose whether you want to see other people's posts marked as NSFW. And for minors, the ability to see NSFW content is automatically turned off. Pillowfort’s got a really good system for both allowing NSFW content and keeping it away from people who don’t want to see it. I really like that flexibility, and how that flexibility isn't detrimental to the users.
And speaking of being able to see or not see certain content, the content filtering is pretty solid. You’re able to block tags and even words in the body of a post, and like I said, you can control whether you want to see posts marked as NSFW. You can even control who sees your own posts! There’s blocking users, of course, but you can limit who sees your own posts even further than that. You can make them visible to anyone, visible only to logged in Pillowfort users, visible only to your followers or mutuals, or hell, even visible to you alone!! It’s cool to have that level of control, and I find it reassuring to know I have those options.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Another big appeal of Pillowfort, for me, is the userbase’s strong “don’t like don’t read” policy. A lot of the people there operate under the mindset of “as long as it’s fictional, whatever dude. I don’t have to like it, but you do you." There are still dipshits, of course, but it’s WAY better than the insane purity culture that’s developed here. I don’t have to worry about some wannabe-conservatives telling me I’m just as bad as Ted Bundy for [checks notes] sexualizing Michael Myers or some shit. Plus, this general userbase mindset is backed up by actual site policy! I’ve heard that Pillowfort is very swift in responding to reports of harassment – whether it’s fandom-based harassment or bigotry. I haven’t had any experience with this personally (and hopefully it’ll stay that way), but I’ve heard good things about it, and it makes me feel more comfortable being there.
Also, did I mention Pillowfort has an explicit anti-AI policy? AI generated images and writing are banned on the website, and staff made this decision once its userbase and community made it clear that they wouldn’t welcome that sort of shit. And GOD, does it make me feel so fucking good as a writer and artist to know that.
Tumblr media
And that’s another thing – Pillowfort staff actually fucking listens to its userbase. The website is crowd-funded and relies on subscriptions and monthly donations to keep things running. And because it relies on its community, it relies on keeping the community happy. So complaints, bug reports, suggestions and alterations and things the users would like to see on the site – it’s all taken pretty seriously. And again, it’s just really nice to know that the staff of the place actually give a shit and are looking out for its community rather than trying to suck the dick of the biggest investor.
Really, the only problem I have with Pillowfort is the fact that it’s a bit small. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, because the people there are lovely. But since a lot of people aren’t happy with Tumblr, and haven’t been happy with Tumblr for some time, I thought I’d just ask you guys – maybe consider it. Consider making a Pillowfort account. Consider making your own little fort, stringing up some colored lights and cool art and making yourself cozy. Consider offering some money, if you can spare it, because it’s genuinely a really cool place that I want to spend more time in and see prosper.
So far, I’ve had a lovely time there. It’s cozy and friendly and it feels like one of the few places where a queer artist like me is actually welcome. And I think a lot of Tumblr users might really like it too.
I hope to see you there! 💜

some real talk from your local anarchist and activist:
one, as long as you've changed and worked/are working to be a better person, no one cares about your past! actual activists will work with former neo-nazis and kkk members because we want people to change. if they want to be better, we want to give them a place to go! so many people get stuck in the alt-right because they don't think they have anywhere else to go! but our goal as leftists is to reduce the numbers of the alt-right and so we welcome people that want to change because it's the only way to make the world better. constantly berating people with their past, making them self flagellate all the time, does nothing - nothing - to make the world better. this doesn't mean that people who have been harmed have to forgive them or feel comfortable but y'all white activists have no room to act like that!
two, fucking online discourse isn't activism. neither is retweeting threads on twitter or posts on tumblr. heck, this post isn't activism! you can do activism online but i promise you it isn't harassing fans of a creator or content you've deemed problematic or slur discourse or policing what memes people post. like sure, we should try to be aware of making others uncomfortable but holy crap these things really do not matter! you are not a good person solely because you consume things that are 'morally right'. consuming media is fucking NOTHING. it means NOTHING. yes, it can matter when it funds actual bigots like JKR but i promise watching steven universe or the dsmp or whatever literally doesn't matter.
please, drop this moral purity stuff and attacking other people over their pasts or what character they like because y'all are just doing the work of the alt-right for them! you're getting into slur discourse and kink discourse and attacking other queer people like, yeah! that's what they want! they want words like 'groomer' to mean nothing so it's easier to throw at anyone they want. they want 'queer is a slur' shit because putting people into strict labels makes it easier to say 'these are the good ones and these are the bad ones' later on.
people are good. people can change.
your kindness matters more than your righteousness ever will.

I never watched James Somerton's shitty Killing Stalking video because I was trying to be good to myself and avoid something that I knew would make me very angry. In fact, I never watched any of his stuff because the fact that he made a video like that was enough to discount any thing he ever had to say (also I heard about the Celluloid Closet plagiarism).
But man, is the James Somerton discourse bringing a lot of Killing Stalking-related feelings back up for me. Because I'm mad; I'm still so mad. There are a suprising amount of people on social media who are saying they never watched any of his stuff except for the Killing Stalking video. I'm annoyed not just to find out that the vid had that sort of reach and influence, but also because Somerton's unmasking hasn't seemed to make people reasses the validity of the kind of thing he was saying. People are just now being like "hmm I think this guy might have Issues With Women" but that doesn't warrant any reflection on what exactly the motivation is of people who complain about women enjoying a niche webcomic? Because I don't actually believe you're concerned about the influence of some obscure piece of media when you advertise its existence to your large audience many of whom had not heard of it and would never have heard of it but for your transparent outrage porn video. It's rage bait and the target was women that are perceived as straight. A big channel has publicized the fact that they excised a section that endorsed the opinions in this video from their own because they became aware of Somerton's plagiarism and dishonesty (presumably; if it was actually because they recognized his views were coming from a sexist place I would welcome a clarification). And you know, I don't think that's a good look actually. That you needed to be told he was a bad person and couldn't idependently put together that the misogynist man was saying misogynist things.
The comic ended years ago and the fandom has gone mostly quiet, but to this day people are still the peddling the"fujoshi/stupid teenage girls who don't know what's good for them are shipping these characters because they are too braindead to realize it's not a romance; it's a horror, two things I believe are mutually exclusive. I am smarter than all of these cringe degenerates" bullshit. It's in the comments of the hbomberguy video even; one comment was such a gross misrepresentation of the series that my friend needed to talk me down from getting into a pointless youtube comments argument (bless him) because these people are officially making me lose my marbles.
This narrative is full of shit, it's demonstrably not fucking true. You can go on the artist's twitter right now and its full of her retweeting shippy fanart of that pairing readers were apparently never intended to ship.
Tumblr media
(I don't think Koogi knows or cares about James Somerton; she just reblogs the works of fans who tag her. This made me laugh though).
Now this is all speculation because he died decades before social media existed, but I think if Nabokov was alive today his twitter would not be full of Humbert Humbert x Dolores Haze fanart. And yet, I have unironically seen people compare shipping Sangwoo and Bum in Killing Stalking with the misreading of Lolita as a precocious sexual temptress more than once.
And this isn't me saying that Killing Stalking is the disgusting"pro-sexualized abuse" comic that tumblr purity police used to characterize it as either. One of these days I'm going to go truly bonkers and end up banging pots and pans on the street corner, yelling at random innocent passerbys about how stories about romantic and sexual relationships are not required to be Hallmark movies. You can make art about the negative, dark, and troubling parts of these feelings and relationships without creating a pat morality tale. You don't need to approach media analysis like your 7th grade teacher has assigned you an essay on explaining what a novel's "message" is.
Nobody, not the author and not the fans, genuinely thinks that Sangwoo and Bum have a healthy or aspirational relationship. This hypothetical person that does not understand the relationship is toxic doesn't exist. Because girls and women, even the ones having cringey fandom fun on tiktok or whatever, are not so stupid and naive that they are unware that breaking someone's legs and locking them in a muder basement is bad. The type of concern troll rhetoric Somerton employed in his video is directed near exclusively at women interested in men and there's a reason for this. Women are not responsible for abuse that men do to them; nobody is responsible for their partner abusing them. If I never saw people spit this bullshit again it would be too soon.

PLEASE POST YOUR DNPTWT CULTURE POSTS !! i would love to read them (also twitter scares me so i don't want to go there and learn for myself)
Hi anon,
I am putting this under the cut because i do think its best if this conversation dies and i dont want to create a tumblr vs twt beef. At the end of the day its really not that deep.
that being said, i am a yapper and i like thinking about these things soo.
As much i as i disagree with the reasons phan twitter gives for this purity culture reactiveness and dislike how they misunderstand what dnp has said; I understand where it comes from. Twitter is a panopticon steeped in purity culture and surface level performative activism. And thats not a phandom problem, thats a twitter problem.
It is interesting how that intersects with phandom culture (history of overstepping boundaries, inherited and often misplaced guilt, customer service blog, ect) and i really feel bad for the sense of fear this creates in a lot of them. But its hard to say their fear is unfounded.
Like, I dont think dnp care if people say they fuck nasty (nor should we be looking for their permission, but that's a different conversation), but i understand not wanting your tweets to show up on their fyp.
The problem to me is the bullying that results from others imposing their morals on other. The collectivism and fandom as religion of it all means that one person deviating from the norms, feels like a condemnation of the whole group and leads to the internal moral policing of phantwt. Combined with the nature of the fyp and algorithm, people jump to the perceived moral high ground without really thinking through the implications of their opinions.
Tumblr benefits from the opposite. Our reputation is already in the trash and dnp are fully aware of it (and support it, lets be real) and know what they are getting into when they come here. truly nothing we say can be as wild as what was going on in 2014.
twitter has a real 'personal discomfort equals moral high ground' problem. and i think a lot of young people have a well intentioned (if misguided) obsession with purity culture and phan twitter showed this perfectly this weekend.

yo i'm seeing a lot of dishing about the purity culture of fandom and i absolutely agree
but i'd like to ask
do 'incest fic' count, i mean specifically i'm in the batfam fandom and if you try and write pairing with batman's adopted kids /former robins together everyone and their mother starts screaming at you both online and on ao3, and if you point out the lack of blood relation all you get it 'it's still incest oh my god you're a horrible person who doesn't believe in adopted sibling relationships' and like... i just wanna smush the two pretty vigilante characters together, it's very exhausting, and it also applies to discord, the fandom is very hardcore about policing this and like I get it to an extent because I've seen a lot of posts about how 'seeing batcest on my dash turns my stomach' 'having to scroll past bastcest on ao3 to get anything good is disturbing and disgusting' and tagging, is not enough for these people, i've seen some poor fools pointing out instances of real life adopted siblings who've ended up together due to the adoption being their parents decision ect and the vitriol that's met with is very aggressive, they basically just don't want it to exist and don't want people who ship it to feel safe talking about it out in the open on tumblr because it's weird and something to feel ashamed of that you shouldn't force 'normal people' to see.
And it's like, why do I have to be treated like a fucking leper in online spaces over a ship? It's literally scarlet letter shit where if someone posts something with nightwing x red hood art even if it's cute and utterly harmless like one of them blushing over a hot chocolate people will literally go into their mutuals askbox and 'warn' them that that person you reblogged from likes batcest. Legitimately. It's so toxic.
See, if you're tagging your ship correctly, if you're rating it correctly, if you're posting it in the appropriate places, if you are making it clear what it is that you've created so that others who don't want to interact with it can keep scrolling without clicking or can use their blacklist functions, then you're not doing anything wrong and your responsibility is pretty much over.
And that goes for any ship, any trope, and any fic in any fandom.
It does not matter.
No singular person or group of people has the right to police an entire fandom just because there's content being created that they don't personally like or agree with.
As long as those creators are keeping their content to the appropriate places (i.e. not posting explicit material in a general audience server or purposefully putting ship content under the wrong tag to force others to see it) then it's everyone else's responsibility to curate their own fandom experiences by using blacklists, mute functions, exclude filters, the block button, or just not clicking on content they know they don't like or agree with.
There are ships and tropes that turn my stomach. I don't want to see them, consume them, or even think about them because they squick me out.
And that's on me.
So I block, I blacklist, I mute, and I don't click.
Because the burden of responsibility for what I consume in fandom is on me.
Fandoms are like villages. Yeah, we're all living in close proximity but that doesn't give anyone else the right to come into my house uninvited and tell me they don't like my decor or that I can't cook this particular meal in my kitchen because they are allergic to it even though I never invited them to dinner.
So ignore the people who try and do that.
Tend your roses, fill your shelves, make your meals, and enjoy yourself instead.

What is the dumbest Purity Police thing you've ever seen on tumblr, Ancient One?
I currently follow 36 blogs, the vast majority of those are old mutuals (6+ years) or faceless fan blogs I don't interact with, but happily reblog from. That's the highest my follow list has been my entire time on this site. I get content from tags more than people I follow.
It's incredibly rare that I follow a blog. I'm very very specific, and me not following a blog is in no way a slight or a judgement against them, I am incredibly picky.
But as anyone who was on tumblr 10+ years ago can attest, "Follow Back" was a rabid practice and you'd get shit hurled at you for not doing it. You were expected to follow back every single blog that followed you. I used to get so many messages "reminding" me they'd followed me and I had to follow back. I never did.
One blog I was mutuals with, and had been around a year, was one of the rabid follow-back believers. At one point she mentioned she was following like 1,800 blogs, which frankly was pretty normal to hear from my mutuals.
She went off one day about how adult content should be banned because SHE shouldn't have to see it on her dash, and it was unreasonable and unfair to expect HER to go out of HER way to block tags (or unfollow blogs that posted untagged). It was an infringement on HER rights as a Tumblr user to have to click a few buttons to block a tag or unfollow a blog and break her precious, perfect follow back streak. Instead, she should be allowed to dictate the content of every single one of those 1,800 blogs and only let them post what she liked.
Tumblr didn't recommend posts back then, you had to go into tags to see new content. She was pitching a fit about curating her own online experience.
In the same 2 paragraph outburst she also demanded books put warnings on them if there is any sexual content at all because she said it was no different from sexual assault for her to sit down with a book and be exposed to such content. She deserved to be slapped for that line above all else.
She was a member of the fandom around the books about fancy elves (fae) fucking.
I blocked her immediately, and massively increased the sexual content on my blogs.
And from pure spite, my sex positivity blog (RIP) and NSFN (Not Safe For November) was born. I also started writing spicier and spicier fanfiction, and became known as the Smut Queen of that fandom.

Tumblr media
OK guys, I have a confession to make today: I am a dudebro. The tech geniuses in my Elon Musk discord sent me here to infiltrate Tumblr. I chug a Toxic Rick energy drink every morning even though it makes my bones rattle and spiders crawl at the edges of my vision. I go to Birdrick threads on Reddit, comment "is rick gay," get two downvotes and leave. Every day, I pray that Rick will say "I'm not arguing, I'm explaining why I'm right" in the show so that I can point at the shirt that I'm wearing with the same phrase on it and say "Haha, it's official now! You to want hear me say it out loud? Huh? You want me to throw that badassery right in your face? Fuck up my McDonald's order one more time, and it's coming at you!" Do it, Rick. Do it for me.
I've jacked it to Rick a few times, but I only did that because it was funny. In fact, it was funnier than everything in seasons 4-6 combined. I think that Rick and Morty has been the worst shit on TV since season three, but I haven't stopped watching it. Instead, I watch every new episode and make rage-fueled videos in my $1,000 gaming chair. This week's topic: Rick and Morty has gone woke. What was up with that joke in season five about the cops being racist? The cops aren't racist! They kill ALL races equally, Jesus Christ.
Anyway, back to Birdrick: I KNOW that Birdrick is platonic because I tell my male friends that I love them all the time. That's not romantic. In fact, I say it while looking directly into their eyes, thinking about all the great times that we had together, thinking that they should leave their bitch of a girlfriend because I know more about Rick and Morty than she ever will. I think about how hilarious it would be if we went on a long vacation and shared a hammock and watched the sun set, the light glittering on the waves as insects start to hum in the grass. Haha, it's all a joke, bro.
Once, I was DJing in a club and trying to figure out how to play Kanye West's entire discography at once when a guy handed me an acid tab with Morty's screaming face on it. I flew off into outer space and floated around until Rick picked me up in his ship. We made out for a while so that he could teach me how to make out with all the hot alien babies on Neptune. Of course, I already know how to make out with babes because I kissed a chick wearing a Rick and Morty hoodie once. She was clearly shit at it because I didn't enjoy it, and I should have known better because girls, queers and Tumblrinas don't actually like Rick and Morty. They just pretend to like it because they want male attention.
Oh, I'm sorry--CIS male attention. Is that woke enough for you? And by the way, libsharts: Rick is a CIS MALE. I would know because he runs around naked in every other episode, and I made a compilation of every scene for hard evidence. Cry about it all you want, but you're not going to win this debate. No one's looked at Rick Sanchez naked more than me!
Anyhoo, Rick called out the woke crowd in the season one classic "Raising Gazorpazorp," which brilliantly deconstructs feminazi bullshit, especially Rick's speech at the end. Something about Rick's voice really sells it. Something about the way it's so gravely but familiar at the same time, like rain hitting a tin roof while we're sipping iced tea on the porch. Do you ever feel like you're only going out with girls because all your bros are doing it?
HAHA uh, Birdrick is a sack of puke and just the thought of it makes me shit rage diarrhea. (Uh oh, was that too CRUDE for the purity police? Well, get used to it, because I have to.) If I ever see a Bird Person cosplayer on the streets of LA, I'm going to hit him with my Tesla, killing him instantly. I'm hoping that it might explode a little bit for maximum damage. In fact, I'm just going to program my Tesla to hit every pedestrian that resembles a human-sized bird. It's in Elon Musk's genius hands now!
So what the fuck has happened to Rick and Morty? That show was great before they hired women writers. I'm pretty sure that they hired a bunch of queers, too, because only a gay man would come up with that suit and tie he wore in season six. He looked way too good in that outfit. Which one of you homos designed that shit? Jesus Christ, get out of the writers' room and let the straight men take control again. If I ever win a giveaway or something and get to visit the studio, I better be surrounded by men!
Season one was just winner after winner and winner. We need to get back to the original show--the REAL show--where Rick was a cool-headed and rational scientist instead of the weeping "wah wah I'm so sad morty" baby we're stuck with now. I would know because I'm basically the real-life Rick. I say what I want, when I want. Don't like it? Too bad. You just don't want to hear the truth. Rick Sanchez walked so that white men with beards could run...to their Teslas and run over Bird Person cosplayers, killing them instantly.
And Rick USED to tell the truth. Love is a chemical reaction, nothing means anything, existence is pain, marriage is bullshit (ESPECIALLY when you're married to a female), everyone's too politically correct now, it's stupid that we can't call stuff "retarded," "PICKLE RICK!!!!!", focus on science, girls are too sensitive about everything. Wubba lubba dub dub! Shit, what does that mean again? I'm so used to saying that at parties when someone hands me a Rick and Morty bong and I just smoke whatever's in it because that's what Rick would do. I think I smoked oregano a couple of weeks ago. My nostrils have been burning ever since, but I'm sure it's fine. Nothing can kill a man who pounds Toxic Rick energy drinks!
Haha, wouldn't it be funny if I left the last two words off that last sentence? That would be the funniest shit ever. I'm crying with laughter!
People didn't understand Dan Harmon's genius when they whined about the show, and it apparently made him so depressed that he gave up and surrendered to the woke crowd. Christ, I hate the Internet. I only get on here to check Reddit, scroll through Elon Musk's Twitter feed and see if Dan Harmon updated his Instagram. He reminds me of Rick a lot. They're both geniuses, but the major difference with Dan Harmon is that he's got that scraggly beard. It's probably scratchy when you make out with him. I took a bunch of molly at a party once and kissed a guy who looked like a lumberjack because I thought he was a lady lumberjack, and his beard was pretty scratchy. I said "Wow, that's what kissing Dan Harmon is like!" And he said "Want to go back to my place?" And I said "Fuck no, you're not ACTUALLY Dan Harmon." LOL!!!!!!!
Remember when I mentioned McDonald's at the start? I've been in Mickey D's this whole time, and if you're wondering how I had time to type this, it's because the 16-year-old fucktards behind the counter don't know what they're doing. (And yes, I'm getting McNuggets! Haha! #szechaunsauce) Rick wouldn't put up with this shit. Not only is he a badass, but he's got badass friends all over the galaxy who would back him up. I had a dream a month ago where Rick was hanging out with these buff guys that were probably his personal bodyguards. Some weird stuff happened, and when I told my therapist about it, she said "It sounds like you had a dream about Rick having sex with a group of men," and I said "No, I didn't," and she said "You just loudly and audibly said that you had a dream about Rick having sex with a group of men," and I said "Haha, I was manipulating you! I'm a master manipulator like Rick! It was a social experiment! What made you think about gay sex anyway? If I said 'And then Rick got gangbanged by a bunch of dudes' and you immediately thought 'Wow, it sounds like you had a gay sex dream,' that's on you, honey! Hear me? THAT'S ON YOU!!!'"
So, uh...
Let's close this off with a classic: Wubba lubba dub dub! Haha. Anyway, since you Tumblrites love analyzing every frame of every episode because it makes you feel like you "get it" (spoiler alert: you don't), why is this GIF so hypnotic? I've been watching it for twenty minutes and can't figure it out.

they play sexual jokes but I don't think they'd be okay with reading fans talking bout how Nico has lips made for sucking dicks or that the band takes turns fucking him or that Kevin is a needy whore during sex 😅
it's like women that dress in revealing clothes and pose suggestively with her girlfriends, it's not really an invitation for people to make comments about how their pussy is tight or how she'd be fucked with a strap by her friends and beg for more but I guess as long as they don't see 😅
I can't believe everytime we touch brought this kind of conversations out in the open in this fandom, it used to be contained to the private server lmao
D'aw my first purity police , I've finally made it on Tumblr. Cheers to being my first anon! 🥂
I find you extremely out of pocket. I could explain myself, My friends, and where I'm coming from. But I think you already are aware of everything I could tell you and you're frankly not worth it.
This just makes me want to write the filthiest fic with Kevin being the whiniest omega and Nico getting face fucked. Tumblr is the first place I've ever felt comfortable enough to express this side of me and you're not doing anything to convince me that it's wrong. If you're this pressed about fans doing fan things meant for FANS ONLY then block me and whoever. IDGAF how you want to experience fandoms but in regards to what I do here with my friends,
Fuck off and leave me alone

Hey bro i heard you like 🔥 so c'maaan gimmie your salt maaaan
Send me a “ 🔥 “ for an unpopular opinion.
(( gonna preface this by saying - if any of my moot moots are one side or the other, or consider themselves such - i got no beef with you. you're my homies, my real ones, my ride or dies; im open-minded to hearing your opinions. jus' dont send me any anon nastiness, ill cry REAL tears ))
honestly? i can't stand the black and white thinking in the rpc & fanfic communities as a whole. the whole pro-shipper/anti-shipper debate is extremely tiresome to apparently anyone who believes in nuance & grey situations.
like, on one side - you have people who will and do persecute people for the fucked up ships that they write. on the other, you have people who preach fiction is fiction and will willingly ignore the genuinly problematic people who take advantage of the notion of 'pro-shipping' in order to write their extreme fetishes ( ala, pedophilia / beastiality ).
i have always been anti-censorship. i always will be. i watch extreme cinema and read extreme manga / comics. nothing phases me. there are films that disturb me ( salo will /always/ make my uncomfy ) and obviously things i wont touch with a ten foot barge pole ( anything with kids / animals ) but for the most part, i'm very chill when it comes to what people want to write. i believe people should be honest about their kinks, preferences and things they wish to write.
if your partner is willing, it's consensual and tagged or under a read more. i have zero issues with it. but -
i have gotten sent hate before from 'pro-shippers' for stating my stance on anybody who wants to write smut with kids. literal hate for stating i'm against pedophilia. ( and im not talking about a 17 yr old being sexually active, im talking, like - literal children being sexualised ) like, what? i've been called purity police and all kinds of shit. like, me? purity police???? the bitch whose favourite comic is crossed and favourite manga, ichi the killer. LOL
my whole issue with the debate and the censorship / arguments in the rpc is that, it feels as though you HAVE to be one side or the other. you can't have a nuanced opinion, you can't understand that sometimes - there is a place for certain content, despite how extreme it is.
everybody is allowed a preference. you're allowed to be upset, offended, afraid, disgusted by or whatever else from x subject. every single individual is different and it's what makes us all beautiful. and i feel people need to really understand this. you can write extreme content but don't expect people to like it. on the other hand, if you don't like x content - don't attack someone for writing that content.
i just feel that there's wrong on both sides and i wish people would actually talk about the subject instead of throwing around attacks at each other. ultimately, whether anybody likes it or not - what you're writing is a footnote in the grand scheme of literature. you're writing on tumblr with your buddies and you're here to have fun.
if you wanna write an extreme sex scene with your consenting friends, go for it. if you don't want to write smut or you can't stand a certain ship, that is totally fine, too.
it's okay! both sides can be right without being aggressive or nasty.
like said, i would never label myself 'pro-ship' or any of that shit because i don't agree with that stance. i believe that there is a place for all content in all media in some, way, shape or form. i believe that rp is a slippery slope because it's a hobby that involves partners and is sociable. you have to please those around you and must understand that you can't wave around fetishes without a potential backlash. i agree people should write what they want, but i don't agree that there is a place for ( for example ) smut involving kids or animals. especially in the rpc. i've seen people 'joke' before about writing a pedo purely for exploration & to get a reaction. i can't imagine a more unenjoyable, questionable, horrific kind of thing to write in rp ( hell, even in media...that sort of character burns out and leaves creators depressed a/f).
i just wish people would talk, understand, and be open-minded. and - think about the bigger picture, too.
is this thing going to ride with you when you're offline?
probably not. so be respectful, have fun and just chill~

get to know the author!
name : Punky, Jessica, Bunny
pronouns :  Her/She/Hey You
preference of communication : DMS first to get a feel for each other and then disco please and thank you. It's simpler and easier. And you don't have to worry about tumblr eating shit.
most active muse :  Billy at the moment. Though Josh Washington and Darkling have been poking around like.. Is it time yet?
experience / how many years :  I've been rping since I was 13 on AOL. So. A long, long, long, long time. Or in other news. I'm old as fuck.
best experience : I have a few. The best on tumblr would be the amazing friends I've made along the way. Most of whom are still in my life.
rp pet peeves : Purity police and the RPC being so ruined by the dickbags who think fiction equals reality.
fluff, angst, or smut : Angst and smut. Fluff's alright. I have nothing against it or the people who write it. But if I wanted something fluffy I wouldn't be here writing dark muses or with people who write dark muses. Fluff happens, sure, but it shouldn't always be.. The major plot point of all stories.
plots or memes : Both?? Both is good. Sometimes plotting just doesn't happen or what's plotting doesn't work out well. But memes can be a gateway drug to getting those vibes going, to get the muses to just.. Work together?
long or short replies :  Again, both is good. I don't go into something thinking oh.. This needs to be long or that needs to be short. It's up to Billy and what he has to say.
time to write : At the moment? Morning and evening. I'm working 3:00-8:00 and have a commute. Though my job can be relaxed enough for me to sometimes have time to write.
are you like your muses : Yes, I think we're all like our muses in some little way. But what Billy and I have the most in common are terrible parents. Mothers to be exact. And because of that we don't share the world's delusion that women are all perfect, innocent, never do no wrong humans.

"Hey, don't interact with X person because they like Y" is one of the most entitled things you can say to someone.
I mean, warning someone about a true red flag is valid, and those are pretty visible even online. But going to a blog and telling the person, the person you just reblogged from likes this and this and this and therefore you should not interact with them is frivolity if ever I've seen it.
A), what's it to you? B), I've noticed that, in fandom (and especially Star Wars) the italicized statement has tiny letters in the bottom: and if you do not claim to not have known and condemn what this person likes, I will label you as equally problematic as this person.
What. The heck.
You might not like some things other people like. Some things other people like may be controversial or whatnot, but they are still preferences.
You can control what you see on tumblr. You can curate your internet experience, but you kinda aren't entitled to going to other people and curating their experiences based on your preferences.
And listen, I get that you feel strongly about some things. I do too, and the best example I can think of in Star Wars is clonec*st, which I hate, I loathe, and I am disgusted by. I filter the tags, I avoid seeing it, I move the fuck on. I curate my experience.
But the thing is, I and other people cannot know everybody's backstory/internet history from the get go. Maybe one day, we shall reblog something we like, not along these lines, from someone who happens to engage in this. Some appreciate the warning so that they can further curate their experiences; sure, I suppose, if it's from a mutual or someone who's genuinely coming from a place of wanting to give you a heads up.
There are others, however, who have gone to people who accidentally interact with a clonec*ster and are told by people YOU INTERACTED WITH THEM. YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE POST DOWN NOW AND BLOCK THEM AND SHOW US THAT YOU'VE BLOCKED THEM OTHERWISE YOU ARE THE SAME AS THEM AND WE WILL CANCEL YOU.
And don't get me started on the YOU CLAIM TO NOT SUPPORT THIS PARTICULAR SUBJECT AND YET YOU HAVE JUST REBLOGGED A MEME THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT FROM SOMEONE WHO SUPPORTS THIS SUBJECT SO THAT MUST MEAN YOU ARE LYING TO US AND WE CANNOT TRUST YOU AND WE WILL CANCEL YOU.
I hope this is clear enough. People who have no idea who these blogs are or what they do get put in the spotlight because they reblogged a little something from them and are treated harshly for something they're not even doing. Get a grip.
Know what you can and cannot control. Know when you are being genuine about your good intentions and when you're just looking to act the policeman. Some of us grow very tired of internet purity police.
You're truly against something and you must absolutely do something about it? Cool. Target the people creating that sort of content.
Once again, we spiral back into the claim: You don't truly care about the issue at hand, you just want an easy target.
