Beds are arranged foot to foot so that the arched window is given full sweep. This arrangement inspires visiting grandchildren to flop on the long stretch of beds as if they were one giant sofa. The upholstered headboards repeat the shape of the window, whose breeze precludes the need for air-conditioning.

Anyone else have a lofted bed for their toddler, or am I the only lunatic?

I picked this one out and was so excited to get it set up, and then seeing it in his room and seeing him on it today made me super nervous. There was also nothing in the bed description or listing at all when I bought it specifying a minimum age, and I was shocked to see a sticker on it today stating no less than 6 years old?? I guess that’s for lofts and bunk beds regardless of height. It makes me feel crazy, but there are so many reviews of this particular bed being purchased for three and four year olds. I didn’t even think twice about it until today. Holden seems to understand our rules around the bed, the ladder, the slide, etc., so that’s making me feel a bit better. Thoughts, friends?
