Sam & Max sleeping in bunk beds is so cute to me...

I could just imagine them being like 8 and having a sleepover and deciding they're gonna get bunk beds when they grow up (somehow it seems alluring when you're a kid...) so they could have a sleepover every night and then doing just that when they get an apartment together.

Or maybe it's more of a practical thing, for some reason I'm under the impression that their bedroom is very small, so they probably couldn't have fit a bigger bed or more than one bed in there so they had to figure something out.

in the DD when phil is a guest dan did say the 'fake' apartment had 3 bedrooms and they looked specifically for a 3 bedroom ap.

the floor plans to the two flats used to circulate, i have seen them, and as far as i remember there were two bedrooms in each. i'm not about to do digging to double check that. the gaming channel room and amazingphil set were in the filming apartment and the moon room and a room we never once saw were in their actual apartment. dan and phil do lie to us! they may have been looking for 3 bedrooms but that's not what they had.

i genuinely do not think the unseen room in their actual flat during the two flat era was a bedroom though—i think it was their office. & that's supported by phil saying he sometimes slept in the amazingphil room in that DD episode! if there were two bedrooms in their top floor actual lived in apartment why on earth would he go to the ground floor filming flat for a night, yknow?
