Still hopeful to get some raccoons in, but here are today's capybara and sloths. :)
One is two toed and one is three toed, for wholesome sloth rep.
The capybara have a dragonfly, a frog, and an orange on their heads respectively.
Off to make dinner!

Note
Two toed sloths and three toed sloths are each others closest relatives, so it’s a little confusing, but they separated 28 million years ago, you know all the extinct giant ground sloths? The two types of modern sloth are basically two different branches of ground sloth that went up in the trees and survived the extinctions that killed all their relatives, some Caribbean sloths also went in the trees independently but went extinct anyway

Hoffmann's two-toed sloth (Choloepus hoffmanni), also known as the northern two-toed sloth is a species of sloth endemic to Central and South America where it can be found throughout Honduras, Ecuador, Peru, Brazil, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, and Venezuela. Here they inhabit tropical rainforests where they spend the majority of there time up in the canopy feeding upon leaves, buds, tender twigs, plant shoots, fruits, and flowers. Hoffmann’s sloths will spend almost there entire life, including eating, sleeping, mating, and giving birth, hanging upside down from tree branches. Only really venturing to the ground to defecate, change trees, and occasionally mate or give birth. Hoffmann’s sloths are preyed upon by jaguars, cougars, ocelots, harpy eagles, margays, boas, and anacondas. Reaching around 22 to 30 inches (55 to 75cms) long and 4.5 to 20lbs (2 – 9kg) in weight, Hoffmann's two-toed sloth is a heavily built animal with shaggy fur which is tan to light brown in colour, being lighter on the face, but usually has a greenish tinge because of the presence of algae living in the hairs. The fore feet have only two toes, each ending with long, curved claws, although three clawed toes are on each of the hind feet. They're arms and legs are uniquely adapted for slow, yet acrobatic motion. Mating may occur year round but typically coincides with the rainy season, after a 355 to 377 pregnancy a mother moffmann’s sloth will give birth to a single young. For the first 6–9 months of birth, mother sloth carries and nurtures her baby until they are capable of being on their own. Under ideal conditions a Hoffman’s sloth will reach sexual maturity at 2 to 4 years of age and may live upwards of 40.

Some non Canadian wildlife I made for Furnal, that have all since found homes. A three toed and two toed sloth, a hyena, and a poison dart frog.
They're all happy smiling creatures, just like me today. @lemoneewonder wonder and I got off the waitlist for Anime North, and you'll be seeing us in Artist Alley.
Which means time to get my hustle on for new pieces! Furnal Equinox wiped out two thirds of my stock, so I've got a big ol todo list for North!
If you'd like a beast in the meantime, please che k.out my currently available critters in the sh 0 p.

Continuing with #TwoFingeredSloth week, today we'll introduce you the chocolate sloth: Linnaeus's sloth!
Linnaeus’s two-fingered sloth is of similar appearance to C. hoffmanni, but has much darker coloration on the snout, hands, and feet.
Choloepus didactylus, literally “lame-foot” and “two-fingered”, is the scientific name of the Linnaeus two-fingered sloth, named after the very same Carl Linnaeus; the prominent figure of natural biology and father of taxonomy.
This species ranges from Venezuela, the Guyanas, and Colombia to Ecuador, Peru, and Brazil north of the Amazon River. There is some evidence to suggest that they also extend into Bolivia.
