I just wanna harp on about my hc’s for Ast*rion fora minute teehee (censoring the name bc I do not want to be associated w fans of the character this post is for me and my five followers ONLY)
So she was born to an upper class family (duh) to a highly masculine home (masculine for an elves at any rate) She was kind of the pale faced middle child, constantly shown up by two overachieving brothers whom she was always compared against- her father would needle her over this all the time, telling her what she was doing wasn’t good enough, that she was a disappointment etc. However her mother adored and doted on her- Ast*rion always got the sense that her mother wasn’t liked or respected in the household and as such, her mother kind of took it upon herself to groom Ast*rion into being proof that the both of them were capable of something. So she tried to get Ast*rion into law school, which she failed because her entire childhood was either being spoiled rotten by her mother or being berated to by her father, to which her typical reaction would be to simply dig her heels in (like trying to get a husky to go in a direction the dog doesn’t want to. They just plant their feet and won’t move) so her mother paid for her entry into law school instead. All throughout her studies, Ast*rion spent her parents money to go to high class, overpriced wine bars in the upper city to complain about her family to whomever would listen. I think she would’ve had one or two boyfriends but she was so self absorbed that they barely registered to her, other than things to complain at. The relationships never lasted long. Her mother absolutely paid for her to pass the bar (I don’t think Ast*rion’s stupid, I do think she’s lazy and selfish and wouldn’t’ve tried at all)
As for transitioning, I think because she’s from such a high control masculine environment where she’s never had a choice for herself before, where being a woman is silently looked down upon, I think she would have the desire to transition but would have no idea what to do with it- too afraid to make this huge change in her life but at the same time, it’s too much of an essential thing to deny. So I think it would have been this hidden thing that would’ve come out one day and she would have pursued transition but it would take a very long time. It’s only once she’s out from under C*zador’s control that she’ll finally allow such a precious part her to be acknowledged once again. I think for a very long time, it was her one last hold-out, a bastion or something to be cherished that was hidden, hers and this one last mote of hope that one day she could have a future that was all hers.

TW: discussion of something approximating suicidal tendencies but with the usual crack programming of this blog
“Ah, High General Windu”, says Fox, pleasantly. “So we meet again.”
High General Windu raises an unimpressed eyebrow at him, Fox thinks, though it’s getting hard to tell with all the blood rushing to his head. “If I let you go, will you try to throw yourself out of another window?”
Fox makes a vague shrugging motion - or tries to, anyways. It’s hard to tell where any of his limbs are going, hanging upside down in the air as he is. “I am willing to discuss terms.” A bridge will do just fine.
Impossibly, the High General’s eyebrows climb even further up his forehead. “A compromise, then, esteemed Commander.” And so, he righths Fox the head way up in the air, but leaves him floating just above the ground, at which point several painted shells come skidding around the corner followed by billowing robes and screeches.
“WHAT”, says Kote, calmly, “THE BANTHA-KARKED, FORCE-LOVING KRIFF, FOX.”
“You’ll short out your helmet mic”, Fox advises him, sagely. Fondly, he thinks back to decimating his own on only his second time in the newly-christened official Coruscant Guard Scream Closet. He’d just received the comm about the Zillo Beast being transported to 000, and made sure to take his bucket off thereafter to improve the quality of his closet time.
High General Windu’s face does something complicated between sympathy and constipation.
Because the Galaxy doesn’t hate Fox enough already and Cody wasn’t enough on his own, Wolffe elbows his way through their batch to plant himself in front of him, shoulders squared and shaking with repressed rage. “If you try that again, dickhead”, he begins, in a low growl that quite frankly sounds more cringe that intimidating, “I’m going to resurrect you and then kill you again.”
“Ah, Wolffe”, Plo Koon says, in his deep, shivery timbre, “Remember our conversations about effective conflict resolution and communication of needs?”
Wolffe’s eyes narrow at Fox, because all non-Guard are sweet summer children who walk around buckets off on 000 like absolute lunatics. Fox prays they never have to find out why that’s a bad idea. “I feel”, his ori’vod presses out between clenched teeth, “that if you make me watch you throw yourself out of another window, I’m going to jump after you and strangle you on the way down, you little bitch.”
“That’s fair”, says Fox, and watches High General Kenobi bury his face in his hands. Wolffe twitches in place and makes an aborted groaning noise, the hypocrite.
“Excuse me, High Marshall Commander Fox, but I fail to see what’s so dire about this situation that the Jedi High Council and your brothers cannot help you solve”, says Windu, the only sane one left on this Force-forsaken bloated corpse of a planet. Behind the gaggle of Jedi and ori’vode already gathered in front of Fox, the rest of them come veering around the corner in a commotion that’s quite frankly embarrassing. High General Yoda is mounted on Skywalker’s back like he’s a race-Eopie, which is Fox’ only consolation.
He got up this morning at 0300, bleary-eyed and with a pounding headache as always, and all was right in the world. And then Fox got called into the Jedi High Council’s chambers and was ceremoniously informed that in the wake of Chancellor Palpatine’s unfortunate demise (hah), and through the emergency state of the Senate, as well as several invented promotions foisted on Fox to make the delegation of any and all paperwork less shady, he was now next in the chain of command and-
Well, Fox is the acting Chancellor, in short.
Haha, he had said, and been meet with several seconds of silence, until it got both awkward and exceedingly painful. Wait, he’d said. You’re kriffing serious.
Kriffing serious, we are, had said High General Yoda, and thus Fox launched himself out the first best window with a maniacal cackle of, you’ll have to catch me first!
And catch him, High General Windu sure did.
“The will of the Force this is”, Yoda interrupts Fox’ train of thought. He scans him thoughtfully from beneath his wizened brow, and hems to himself. “Shake things up, this will. Determine the fate of the Galaxy, this shall. A feeling, I have, that a good Chancellor you will make. A better one, hmmm.”
“That’d be high praise, if not for the fact that a dead lemming would make for a better Chancellor than the last one”, says Fox, drawing and indignant gasp from Skywalker. He doesn’t bother with either that or the green goblin’s cackle, lost in the deep sense of resignation that settles over his shoulders like a suffocating blanket.
“Alright, then, get me Thorn on the comm. As my first act in office, I’m firing all the Jedi. No offense, but you’re kind of a disaster. Then, someone get me to the Chancellor’s office, I’m calling Dooku to let him know the war’s off. And please get me Judicial, they’ll be up all night working on my datafolders - I’m having the Senate arrested.”
“Who - is - arresting - “, Bly pants, hands on his knees from where he’s just come sprinting around the corner with his Jedi.
Underneath his bucket, Fox smiles a smile that’s all teeth. “The Senate”, he says, sweetly, wondering if he’s just imagined the shiver that’s gone through the room. “I’m suing the Senate, and taking them all into temporary custody for abuse of sentient rights.”

“When toxic behavior is portrayed as romantic, it’s problematic. When problematic behavior is portrayed as a character flaw for a character to work through, it’s good storytelling.”
Katsuki Bakugou, my friends.
His behavior was problematic but never once portrayed as romantic at the same time. Katsuki said and did awful abusive things, and he also chose to be better when he was given the chance. If you’re still hung up on chapter 1 Katsuki now then I don’t think you’ve been reading the same story I have.
I can’t speak for everyone, but I’m not shipping Izuku with an irredeemable abuser. I’m shipping him with his most important person. His narrative foil. His childhood friend who made awful mistakes and then made it right when he saw he was wrong. The person Izuku looks up to and strives to emulate, despite their past struggles.
Bakudeku is so good because of how flawed these boys are, and how hard they’ve worked to get over it, and how much they matter to each other after it all

but also like. guys you don’t need to leave the minecraft youtube community bc one person is bad to clarify. like. shelby is a minecraft youtuber. a lot of her friends are minecraft youtubers. those friends are supportive and as far as we know all believe her. the vast majority of minecraft youtubers are like. fine. this shit is something that Happens because Abusers are Manipulative, going to another hobby will Not shield you from anything and you’re not immoral for liking something bad people also liked. which is. one of the biggest video games ever. like in this situation no one was knowingly harbouring an abuser and it seems everyone was supportive. this is just a case of some people being shit, not anything to do with mcyt. hell, the guy hasn’t been on minecraft in like a year lmao.
i fully understand why the content might be uncomfortable to you guys now but like, please don’t self flagellate and cut yourself off from an entire genre of media because of one guy again. i saw that happen after the dream stuff and a lot of people ended up losing important things because they made rash decisions and felt like they Had to leave. but please. take one deep fucking breath. this has happened before. this has happened so much before, and in ways far worse than this. because abusers, unfortunately, exist. you should not feel guilty for being manipulated by a manipulative abuser, don’t blame yourself. do what you have to, but please, please keep in mind that the majority of minecraft youtube is fine. it is fine to continue engaging with it. it’s fine to be manipulated by an abuser and it’s not your fault. please don’t make rash decisions and end up losing things you care deeply about and being unable to get them back. distance yourself all you want, but please be careful to not do so out of emotional self harm from the guilt. that’s something this fandom encourages far too much- even outside of this- and it’s unhealthy and anyone expecting it of you is cruel.

Alright, I'm going to write my own thoughts down on the situation, sorry if this gets rambly
First of all, Shubble is so brave for speaking up, it's really hard for victims to speak up against there abusers in a public setting and she deserves all the respect in the world for it
That being said we do need to be mindful to give her space, this was a really traumatic thing for her and we all need to be mindful of that, give her room to breath.
On the same lines, don't go after other ccs for not ""releasing statements"", content creators aren't companies, there people. Don't get on at them for not publicly supporting Shubble, especially since there undoubtedly doing it in private, which is probably better than shoving it out there for millions of people to see. Let people support there friend in a way they and shubble are confortable with, if shubble wants them to say something or they think they need to say something themselves, they will say it.
It's like Pearl said, just because you don't see something happening publicly doesn't mean it isn't happening
Also, don't jump to call Tommy or Phil or Grian or anyone else enablers because they haven't said anything, they'll need time to process this too, it's hard to find out that your friend is a domestic abuser, let them process this in piece and don't try to cancel them over nothing like a fool. (People like Tommy will need time especially since Wilbur befriended them when they were young and by all accounts manipulated them too)
If anyone of these people have anything they feel they need to say they'll say it when there good and ready, good life tip folks:Don't Harass People. Especially if they have almost nothing to do with this (honestly Saw someone say they were going to go on to fucking RT about this despite him not knowing either person very well, the fuck)
I know why people do it, they want to make sure there favourite content creators aren't also bad, but they are people and they deserve respect, I can garentee you that almost no Qsmp or Hermitcraft or Other MCYT member who knew him stands with Wilbur
(Also if anyone brings Techno into this fuck right off let the man rest.)
Also, some brain dead morons are saying that people calling out wilbur are doing it for clout and that they should have done it sooner, but most of the abuse happened in private, and wilbur manipulated others, many wouldn't have realised anything was wrong and if they did its still better and more respectful to come forward after shubble since its HER story to tell.
(This attack also doesn't work anymore because we have things like tubbos stream, where he actively discourages his chat from treating him like a hero for speaking out, but yeah sure they all don't give a shit about shubble and just want to make themselves look better, fuck outta here)
Now, if your a former wilbur fan, let me make this super clear
DONT WATCH HIM AND DONT LISTEN TO HIS MUSIC
"BuT SePuRaTe ThE ArT FrOm ThE Arti-
Nah. That doesn't work here. You can separate a book or game or movie, you can't with a cc. Its there face, there voice, there personality. Find a different band, find a different CC to watch. There are other options, I know it sucks to find out someone you like did an awful thing, but that doesn't mean we should support those people for our sakes, especially when people were actively hurt by there actions. Trust me everyone, this will get better, things will go back to how they were before
Finally, this should go without saying, Fuck William Gold to the core of teh fucking earth. And any who still support him.
He is a raging egotistical manipulator and abuser. don't blame people for not seeing it sooner, no one can do that. What we can do though is blame people who still wholeheartedly support him and his actions.
He has not "changed" nor will he ever at the rate at which he's going. He's still a egomaniac who's more concerned with saving his image than actually apologising for his actions, even then an apology wouldn't fix all he's done,it would just be closer and a jumping off point to be better, but he can't even fucking do that.
If wilbur does reflect and grow, good on him, but if he doesn't then I can say with absolute certainty we wouldn't fucking miss him.
Fuck Wilbur. Support Shelbym

imo everyone who insists that saikis life was perfect and he was a spoiled brat complaining about nothing are just purposefully ignoring and misinterpreting the whole manga simply because they like other characters better and want to make up scenarios to make their fav seem like a precious little victim in every situation
its hard to explain but i see it happen a lot with specifically people who have dedicated accounts for other characters and constantly misattribute every issue to "saikis such a baby, my character has it way worse!" "saiki hurt my babys feelings once so i hate him!" "saikis such a spoiled brat, my baby has a way shittier life and never complains about it!" "saiki hurt my poor precious fav once so hes an abusive monster!"
and said "shittier life" that they "never complain" about is either the persons headcanons (literally made up) or... the character DOES complain about it and the person takes those words at FACE VALUE but ignores everything else, including things that actually HAPPEN right in front of our eyes

I keep starting and abandoning posts that go into my drafts, as I try to stay tasteful about how fucking revolted this part makes me. Like, I'm legitimately unsure if the very relevant trauma I have is making me see things that aren't here
But first we see that Star Flower is trying to ingratiate herself to the group, just after she reappears from chapter 5. Chapter 5 is about how Clear Sky is still abusive towards his son, and she comes in after stroking his ego, stressing how alone she is, and appealing to how she'll be loyal unlike his child. (She glances over at Thunder, directly implying this.)
Now in Chapter 9, she's babysitting and trying to care for Milkweed's kits (in spite of discomfort from Milkweed), taking a wet sleeping space away from the others, and pulling more than her own weight "without complaint." Putting herself through harsh sitations to prove her worth.
All while trying to appear extra attractive to Thunder, and later Clear Sky. Basically every man in power who can "protect her"
Like, am I going fucking crazy? With how we later find out that Star Flower was "promised as a mate" to One Eye's subordinate Slash, is... is that hypersexualization? One of the extremely stigmatized symptoms of sexual abuse?
She goes to find Clear Sky alone to throw herself at his paws, and he's very quickly attracted to how she promises to perfectly obey him, have no needs of her own, and finally be the perfect servant that he desires
"I don't deserve your trust because I am dirt. I understand you because I also regret something. I'd die for you. I'll never betray you unlike those who have."
This isn't manipulation. She means this. The story is playing their romance sincerely. She's comparing "betraying" Thunder by telling her own father about an assassination ambush to Clear Sky's history of child abuse, physical assault, and murder
She believes she's on the same level as this; a monster who murdered a childhood friend in a fit of entitled rage. She was a victim of One Eye who really believes that the way her father used her means she "understands" this monster, deserves this treatment.
And Clear Sky LIKES that.
He likes that she will have COMPLETE FAITH in him. That she will follow him WITHOUT QUESTION. That she will OBEY his orders. That's fucking verbatim, that's THE TEXT!!!
WHILE HE'S STILL CRYING ABOUT "ive tried to atone every day" FOLLOWING THE LAST TWO BOOKS WHERE THE ONLY SHITTY THING HE DOESN'T DO IS MURDER INNOCENT WOMEN
Am I insane?? Am I wrong??? Am I missing something here???? Why the fuck is the fandom takeaway "haha sexy girl steals his dad." Did I read the same book

tbh the more setting details i notice the more i realize how the other Vees are signaled as complicit/participant in Angel's abuse.
It's not just Velvette's 'love potion' being used in an attempt to roofie him out in the world - it's a huge poster of her advertising the 'love potion' put up in Val's studio, notably paired with a Voxtech 'Trust Us' poster on another wall. When Vox is walking past posters in his first appearance, Angel Dust posters are noticeable, along with a Love Potion advertisement that features both Val and Velvette and a poster that just seems to be for the Vees in general. When Angel backs away from Val in his dressing room, a scene where he's been taken out of sight of Charlie and is alone with Val - up pops a Love Potion on his dressing table to one side of him, and a Voxtech camera trained on him on his other side. The other Vees are present, in spirit. When Vox and Val fuck off at the end of Poison (and there's YET MORE to be said about that moment) and Angel finally has his moment of genuine breakdown, there's a Voxtech camera in the foreground pointed at him. Even when he's 'off-camera' he's not safe from observation, and even when he and Val are 'alone', the other Vees are there.
also Velvette is wearing the same outfit she's wearing in the Love Potion poster as she is in the finale, I don't think that necessarily means anything but well. i noticed it

irdgaf about ships all that much, i think this show is far too complex and interesting to be reduced to something as trivial as ship wars, but i will ALWAYS draw the line at people saying louis is not a victim of abuse and that there are ‘two sides to the story’ when the story in question is the abuse he went through at the hands of his romantic partners

D&D Whumpee: Fizlei Delrem
[id: A woman with short dark brown hair, olive skin, brown eyes, hairy forearms, a straight nose, and a wispy beard. He wears gray high-waisted ladies' pants with suspenders, a belt with a gun holster, and a button-up shirt with its sleeves rolled to the elbows. He points a revolver off to the side with a confident smile. /end id]
(btw those are him titties, not buff pecs)
Fiz (he/she) is a 27 year old intersex demiwoman and an arcane gunman ranger (homebrew subclass).
Fiz flirts and shoots his way through the world with confidence and ease, seldom giving any part of himself away while briefly appearing in others' lives. Everyone is a friend or potential bedmate to this gal—even those on the other side of his guns. Very few things seem to ruffle his feathers, and his charms make it difficult to dislike him.
Once upon a time, the mask of the cowboy Casanova was just that—a façade. But after spending so long this way, Fiz can't be sure anything's beneath it anymore.
—
Roughly 17 years ago, at a little farmhouse in the Dhorosian countryside, Fiz's parents and siblings were consumed one by one by an ooze-type monster. Upon locating Fiz, the last and youngest of the family, it did something decidedly strange—it took on the forms and personas of her family members, attempting to comfort her.
Fiz tried telling neighbors what had happened, but the hysterics of a 10 year old girl are easily dismissed. Those who briefly followed up to allay the girl's fears found no evidence of anything amiss—all the Delrem family members were present, healthy, and able to recount past experiences. The Thing as her parents would apologize and comment on how Fiz was upset with them—"You know how girls can be at that age," it would say with a rueful shake of Ma's head.
[id: 10 sketched portraits of a family of two parents, seven kids of varying marked aged, and a daughter-in-law /end id]
While the aberration's mimicry was flawless, it made no attempt to conceal its nature from Fiz, denying her the chance to pretend everything had been a nightmare.
—
So she ran away.
Unfortunately, Fiz has remarkably poor luck and ran straight into the den of a different monster that eats people. She was placed in its living larder with other unfortunate souls who had wandered into its clutches.
Fortunately(?), Fiz had something scarier following her. The Thing swooped in and kicked the other monster's ass, slurping it—and the other victims—up. It scooped Fiz up, chiding her for leaving home. "The world is much too dangerous for you," it said as Pa, carrying the traumatized girl home. As it patched up her injuries, it found it was able to take on recent memories from ingesting a little blood.
From there, it was careful to keep a better eye on her for a while, and Fiz learned to keep to herself.
—
At 14, she ran away and kept running for a long while, until one morning she was so desperately hungry that she snuck into a chicken coop for eggs. The rooster kicked up a fuss and the farmer (butch he/him lesbian, unnamed) rolled out of bed with a shotgun, only to find a crying girl cornered in the coop, surrounded by broken eggs.
So he (pretending to be gruff and not like he was pitying her) was like, "You gotta pay me back, so come in here and eat so you got energy to work," and brought her inside, where she met the farmer's similar-age daughter, Amara.
Over the course of a summer, Fiz and Amara grew close and well. your honor it started with the hayloft a-creakin. And life was good.
[id: two sketched busts, one of a dark skinned human woman with short-cropped curly black hair and a shotgun, labeled 'Butch lesbian farmer'; and one of a girl with moth antennae, straight black hair in a bob, and monolid eyes, labeled 'Amara?' /end id]
(this was also the point in Fiz's life where she learned she could use whatever pronouns she wanted) (and also found out that she's intersex probably)
Until it caught up.
The sound brought Amara running. And. And yeah they were added to the victim count. and the Thing (also known as "the parent") dragged the heartbroken, kicking and screaming Fiz back home.
[id: a speech bubble reads "So this is where you were," above a drawing of teenage Fiz staring wide-eyed at the viewer. Her hair is in pigtails and her little beard hairs have just started to grow in. "No... You can't—how are you here?" Fiz says, horrified. The other speech bubbles continue, "Took me a while, but I finally tracked you down. You're a clever girl, Fiz, but I have my own resources." /End id]
Farmer lady sensed the disturbance and once again came out with his shotgun, and tried to protect Fiz who was practically a second daughter by now. He got a shotgun blast on it... which only made it mad.
—
Now, the Thing's mimicry becomes outdated after a while—it can't replicate aging and growth. So between non-aging siblings and the increasingly sullen teenage Fiz, neighbors began to catch on that something was indeed wrong. When approached, Fiz told them to mind their own business. Some listened, some didn't, but the Thing parent found out in every case, one way or the other (overt suspicion or something in Fiz's memories tipping it off). Consequently, those neighbors mysteriously disappeared (eaten).
Eventually the entire surrounding population caught on and showed up on the Delrem's doorstep with pitchforks, torches, the like. Fiz begged the Thing to spare them, begged them to leave. but of course that didn't work.
The morning after, all the houses in that part of the countryside were empty.
The Parent moved itself and Fiz far away.
There were rules to running away, each learned at the cost of freedom or someone's life.
—
The Parent always finds Fiz. Sometimes sooner, sometimes later, but always eventually. When it does, it learns everything Fiz has said and done (via his blood).
If Fiz resists returning home once it shows itself to him, the strictness/severity of his 'grounding' increases.
Fiz is not allowed to tell people about the Parent or let anyone become too concerned about his situation.
Fiz is not allowed to have lasting relationships.
(There's also been times where he was thrown into jail for something he may or may not have done and then the jailers got eaten, so Fiz is wanted in several places for murder.)
—
He remembers the last time he fought back.
7 years ago, a young child needed help reaching safety, and Fiz got them there. The details aren't important, but the situation got Fiz thinking on how he would never be able to have a family of his own if things kept on the way they were.
—
Dhoros, his home country, wasn't particularly rich in sellswords, but Fiz hired the ones he could find.
Even with Fiz's aid, they stood no chance. When the confrontation came, the others were wiped out in under a minute, dealing little damage. Fiz emptied the chambers of his guns into the Thing to little avail, and fell back to striking it with his whip until it pinned him and ripped his weapons away.
"Fizlei Delrem," it reprimanded as Pa. "Is this how I raised you, to be hangin' out with folks that'd get you to attack your own family? ... Maybe I ain't been tough enough on you."
Before it took Fiz and left, it caught a few hiding kids who had witnessed the fight. Fiz could do nothing as it ruthlessly subsumed them. "I didn't like doin' that, Fiz, but you forced me to."
It dragged the struggling Fiz every step of the way home that time, binding him in chains and refusing to let him out until he saw reason.
Fiz made peace with his lot in life.
He let go of his anger, buried his grief, forgot his dreams, and made himself content with the meager freedoms allotted to him.
If all he could have was a pretense of connection when between the sheets, then that was what he would have.
If all he had to do was play nice to placate his parent, he would fawn for it.
If all he could do was enjoy the time spent out in the world, that was what he would do.
If all the bridges he could cross had to burn behind him, he would light each fire.
