I keep seeing ppl talk about the MC needing to be female due to the Manga and such already including a Male MC or even Trans/NB MC from what I know. The reasoning I hear for having a Female MC in the anime is that it would be more inclusive toward the female audience.

This doesn't matter as much when it comes to the debate but what's not really talked about is how a ton of the fandom already favors Female MC and commonly creates Female MC content as to be expected with games like Twisted Wonderland which is filled with mainly well-designed men. In comparison, Male MC content isn't as common.

When it comes to the anime, inserting an MC would be difficult as they would need a set appearance. It's nearly impossible to be inclusive to everyone because there are various things that make a person, such as Size, Height, Skin tone, Voice etc. Not to mention the MC's gender. It would make more sense to try and avoid the thing all together, like a shrimp plush as a lot of the fandom has decided to show the MC as. Similarly to how the Obey Me anime has done a great job at managing the person-insert inclusive thing with the Obey Me sheep in both the Manga and Anime. (This idea was brought to me by a certain someone that I shall reblog thier post.) Personally I'm thinking this is the best way to go about it. Because although the MC could be questioned about being a fucking shrimp, just as ppl question and point out Grim being a monster, it would avoid the gender and inclusiveness topic entirely. This would also help fit with Floyd calling us "Shrimpy" and if you're wondering about how the actions of the MC could be played as, if you've seen the way the plush Tsums moved and expressed themselves, that's how it can be portrayed I suppose.

Now, the problem here is that Night Raven College IS an all-boys school. Both Ace and Duece had questioned Lillia and Epel about their gender/age/appearance at first and questioned their place at the school. Now imagine the MC clearly appearing Female. It'd be weird for them to question Lillia and Epel, but not the supposed MC. In the game, the topic was easy to avoid simply because the MC is never shown or implied to have a certain gender. If not for a character-insert symbol approach. It's pretty possible that the MC would end up Male.

If anything, they would create a character like Epel or Lillia, where they look somewhere in the middle of the Male-Female Spectrum and you can't decisively tell what their gender is. With this approach they could avoid the talk about their gender and appearance in general and refer to the MC with They/Them pronouns just like the game. But again, this would easily still lead to the question of why MC was not questioned by Ace and Deuce when Epel and Lillia were.

Overall I highly doubt they'd make the MC Female. But we won't know until it is shown. So don't take my word for it.

a/n written in half an hour and not edited at all. But uhm take some oc x canon

I wanted to get this done before I start the winter event requests

also if your new to my writing please read something from my masterlist first this isn’t my best writing

I’ll keep my love in a photograph. That’s what I would’ve said if I was a poet if I was a good one .Maybe, I should also mention the coffin I was in and not leave it as an afterthought. Maybe I should mention the coffin meant I got into a prestigious magic school.

Shit. Frantically, I searched my pockets for a locket. Thank god, I was able to find it. I tenderly hold the locket up to my heart. 

The coffin slowly opened leaving me at an entrance ceremony. The ceremony was quite boring if I admit it. The only mildly interesting thing was this purple haired boy sorted in Pomefiore. I felt my cheeks go red when I saw him. I quite hoped I was put in Pomefiore with him instead, I was put in with the man I fear. Fuck the mirror. He looked quite like my childhood friend. A friend I had lost all those years ago. 

I wandered up to one of the roof tops at the castle-like structure of a school. I feel the chilly breeze engulf my body as I open the door to the endless night sky above. I place myself at the edge, like I did whenever I could living with Adonis. Dangling my feet off the edge makes me feel weightless. I like that. 

I’m drawn to the night sky. I was stillborn as a baby but by the blessings of a shooting star I was brought back. I’m a fucking miracle I guess. The sky makes me feel more at home then Adonis and his father ever can.

I heard  the door open. In comes the boy from before. Purple hair, blue eyes…Shit. Our eyes met  and I couldn’t help but wonder if we met before. 

It clicks for both of us in synchronicity. As if enchanted by each other, we run to each other, tackling one another to the ground in a warm embrace. Apparently Epel thought I was dead. I thought I was dead too. He also kept the other half of the locket which was nice that he kept it as his “only girly item”. Our housewardens killed us for pulling an all-nighter. But I guess my love was all mine again.

Dealing with Savanaclaw's dorm leader was typically a difficult task, Yuujirou wouldn't lie.

But, sometimes, he truly did grant a sense of peace like no other. There wasn't many others that had big cat heritage like the two of them, and especially not with their kind of presence either. Leona and Yuuji were predators, and quite a duo, too.

Not that anyone would be able to tell from where they were now, lounging together in the Botanical Gardens without a care in the world.

The hybrid had more or less accidentally ended up volunteering to look after Leona for the day for Ruggie, upon hearing about how the hyena beastman had recently fallen ill to a cold (believe him when he says he'll be visiting Ruggie later, too), not that he could complain about it.

There was rarely something that came anywhere close to being as comforting as being in a heap with other big cats, the panther had found. Even more so when it was noted how little he got to be in groups like that.

"Tch. You're thinkin' so hard I can practically hear it." Leona rumbled, somewhere between annoyed and affectionate, nudging his head against Yuujirou's shoulder with a huff of his breath. "Spit it out."

"Mn?" The hybrid hummed, nudging back in a show of affection, a light purr making it's way through his chest as their tails intertwined. "Nothing much. It's just nice here. Maybe I should join you more often..."

"Hmph. That's what I've been tellin' you."

Though his tone was gruff, Yuujirou could tell that Leona was pleased, the lion taking his time to cuddle into the jaguar more, and it wasn't long until they drifted off together with purrs rumbling through the air.

Gao is a 19yr old giant panda beastman who repeating his 2nd year due to missing finals as bullies took his alarm clock. He needs 14 hours of sleep per day,hungrier then everyone else and is a picky eater so he a very good chef. He even can cook meat really well but doesn't eat it. He always looks tired but thats just his panda eyebags that are natural.

He a decent B student despite people always saying he just eats & sleep all day. He currently is taking both half 2nd & 3rd yr classes so that he only has to take a few 3rd yr ones and become a 4th year with his class. He always seems to be jugging this nowaday so never has time for friends much. He dreams of opening a restaurant hotel hybrid where after your meal you can go to bed right after. Makes for a very soft warm pillow if you find him napping around the campus Leona always does and calls him boulder for it.

Dandan is a 19yr old red panda beastman who uses the name Michelle as a alias. He a 4th yr student who works in the library. He previously was a vice-housewarden for a year. He a comicbook lover,aspiring comedian,and lover of children. He reads over exaggerated fairytale stories to kids at island & at home local hospitals. Sometimes it hard to tell what he says is real or fiction according to his friends.

He still wears the Savanaclaw uniform while working in library so 1st years think he just a 3rd yr he not required to wear it but he says its his superhero normal citizen disguise. He becomes a serious police security like man when its time to find people with overdue books. He will chase you forever if he sees and know you got a book due.

In my AU Gao also has a very bi-ly crush for Dandan and he is aware of it and would said yes to them being boyfriends if asked but Gao falls asleep each time he thinks to go ask Danadan out due to nervousness. Dandan works all day then goes volunteer at hospital at night mostly. Probably not gonna happen...💔 but oh well..

Background:

His early life in Jingci-cheng was not an easy time for Chong-Qi. He was born mute. Growing up with this disability was a struggle, but he refused to let it keep him down and pushed onwards. Younger than most children, Chong-Qi, through his determination, manifested his ability to use magic and soon enough his Unique Magic followed close behind. Once his admission letter to Royal Sword Academy arrived, he wasted now time and was whisked away to Sage’s Island.

Due to his bugfolk heritage, Chong-Qi is able to detect noises and vibrations, feel, and smell with his antennae and fly with his wings. However, his flight is very limited to a short distance, time, and weight.

Chong-Qi’s Unique Magic is called “Just For Luck”. His magic acts as a temporary buff. After signing his incantation, he rubs his forearms together, creating a reverberation. This sound enhances the physical and magical abilities of those within the vicinity.

TWST x PKMN - Unexpected Change 

“ Hey there… What the heck are you?” Shu looked at the strange Creature he wrapped in the coils of . It was Creme colored , Serpentine with Blue and Red ,diamonds shaped scales leading into to a Fan shaped tail. The serpent like creature had red long hair like Fins and Red antenna . Lastly , this strange creature had a spike on its head .

The Creature was Very Affectionate as it squeezed around Shu like giving the oni a big old Hug. Shu carefully Stroked its Chin .

“ Miiii” The Serpentine creature dipped its head down turning it slightly too allow Shu to pet it more before snuggling into him .

“ You like that Don’t you Big guy ?“ The Creatures relaxed its head into his hands as Shu stroked the Creature .

“ … So who are you ? “ Shu thought “ You can’t be Jamil I already saw the strange Snake. He turned into Hefty thing as well .” The Creature nuzzled against his face .

“You sure can’t be Vil cause you’re being so Affectionate towards me.” Shu looked his hand seeing the Goo that came off it made him frown” I just got this uniform dry cleaned “ Shu sighed and Happily looked the Creature “ Man, for such a pretty creature you sure are slimy.”

Shu then paused “ Slimy … “ Shu looked at the Creature.

“ You must be Jade correct ?”

The Creature glared and abruptly Headbutted Shu with all its might. Shu held his forehead

“ Oww!!, Yep Your Floyd ,I was just messin with you , Ya dork. “ The Creature now identified as Floyd huffed before going back to nuzzling him.

“ Milooo ~“

“ Let me Guess you found some ball looking object that Exploded .”

Floyd nodded as Shu Stroked The back of Floyd’s head .

“ Man , I never thought you’d be changed into something so.. pretty . “ Shu pet Floyd’s head . “ I thought you’d be some kind of Cool looking eel monster .”

Floyd looked at him with tired but sympathetic glare he was probably hoping to be a cool looking eel creature too . At least for being so pretty looking Floyd still was strong .

At least, Floyd didn’t get the shortest end of the stick with these strange exploding balls. That was definitely Vil turning what ever Black Eldricht Monstrosity he got turned into . Vil’s Reaction didn’t make it any better .
