Dear diary,

"Today was another scary day. Yura and I hid in the closet because Mommy and Daddy were fighting loudly again. This isn't the first time, and I know it won't be the last. I don't understand why Daddy hits Mommy. What did Mommy do wrong? Why does Daddy hate Mommy and us so much?

Every time they fight, the sound of things breaking and their shouting scares us a lot. We don't dare breathe loudly, just hold each other tightly in the dark closet. I can feel Yura's hand shaking, just like mine. Yura always tries to comfort me, telling me to be quiet, not to cry, and not to let Mommy and Daddy know we're hiding here.

I remember the days when Mommy told us stories about Hogwarts, magic, and all the wonderful things. Those stories always made Yura and me feel safe and happy. But I don't understand why Daddy hates those things. Why does he call Mommy "not normal"? Why can't he accept Mommy like she accepts him?

I wish the fairies in the fairy tales were real. I wish they could come and make all the bad things go away. I wish our family could be like other families, where they're happy together. Maybe one day, Daddy will understand and accept Mommy, and accept us too. I want Daddy to know that whether we have magic or not, we are still a family. I don't know what Mommy did to make Daddy hate her so much, but I hope things will get better"
