It is with great honour that I tell you that my friends over on the distant land of Discord love hearing about you and I always have positive things to say about you, and you've been a really great help in educating me on otherkins/therians and helped me reshape my distorted view on them after years of falling under the "it's weird so it's bad" mentality that I've been trying to rewrite

Unfortunately, happiness isn't a consistent state we can achieve, and the best we can do is try to prolong it. Our society tries to make us think that it's something we can accomplish forever, but there will always be bad in-between each good. Doing things we enjoy and living a life we love is the best ways to make "happy" stay for as much as we can, and knowing that "bad" won't stay either is what helps me with my depression. :)

favorite scene in the silm?

I've always enjoyed the scene where Melkor grips control of the symphony multiple times- then Eru rebukes him tbh!!! I know a lot of people hate the ainulindale but it always stuck in my mind- especially the phrase of iirc- the highest flutes and the lowest Vallies.

It's a beautiful scene- and I think really shows that Melkor was ashamed, bit only in the way that he got in trouble, not in the way he thought. The whole book was beautiful in the way that it was written, and has many great scenes.

Manwe and Yavanna talking about the ents is also one that pops into my head a lot.
