I’ll probably make a longer post about this later on but I love how in “what else can I do?” Isabelas transformation isn’t about rejecting feminity but instead about defining your own identity. I seen people saying it was “anti feminine” but where? she’s still graceful and has a dress she still acts very similar the only difference is her dress is a different color and she’s happier! Isabela is undoubtably feminine and I think that can be said for a lot of women in encanto. They aren’t rejecting feminity they’re rejecting the roles they’ve been forced into.

Okay so I barely practiced and made it to regionals like once so im NOT the expert here but uh headcanoning that Jess did air rifle when she was a teen. Like idk if it would be as part of a team like with a high school (what I'm familiar with) vs like an individual thing vs like a travel/competitive team (it depends on the sitch in her area growing up) but she definitely went to some national matches (probably including JOs/JO quals like i think she was GOOD). I think she probably would have quit competitively following a bad shot at nationals (relatable) along with anxiety about competition (ALSO relatable) but still kept up with shooting casually for fun and relaxation and to hang out with friends etc.

She definitely would have shot smallbore competitively too but I never did that bc I was lazy so idk to much abt it competitively

oh god idk 😩 part of me just wants to say fuck it and let them all go up against mr. brightside and let whatever carnage happens happen. i'm also considering treating landslide and fast car as one, and have a 24-hour landslide/fast car vs. somebody that i used to know poll to determine which moves on. however a landslide/fast car pairing would probably be unbeatable, so i'm conflicted. but on the other hand the projected winners for this round are also widely considered to be unbeatable so it might be fair anyway? suggestions are welcome
