Hi, I’m Dante, I’ve been hanging around the fandom for a little bit of time and I’ve decided to make a side blog to share my thoughts and occasional art pieces of cod characters and perhaps my own characters occasionally

Some things about me

-I’m an aspiring helicopter pilot, always up to talking about aviation. If not a pilot, then a technician

-I’m from the UK, specifically the Norfolk-Cambridgeshire region in the more southern-eastern area

-I love writing and drawing. I also adore airsoft and aim to have my own gear and weapons.

-as a young teen I was in the ACF (Army cadet force) and while I left because of bullying amongst cadets, I passed my first aid, drills and firearm handling and recon.

I’m not the most certain about what I’m comfortable with and what I’m not comfortable with yet, but that will certainly come with due time.

Watching an airsoft review of that VFC XM16E1 on youtube from a fella in the UK and he was *mildly* criticizing the gun for still feeling like an airsoft gun, contra some other VFC replicas that he thinks feel more like a proper weapon

and I don't mean to play my Yank Card but I'm not sure if he's got a genuine point or if he just doesn't know what a real AR-15 feels like because, uh

it feels like an airsoft gun

Everyone gathers at Doreen's! And while none of them are practicing Christians, they are culturally Christian due to being based in the UK. They don't say Grace before meals or go to church.

Darius, Marcus, Marcus' wife and kids, Doreen, Richard, and Doreen's sister Evelyn. Richard was an only child, and Evelyn couldn't have kids, so the family is smaller than others.

Darius isn't the best when it comes to gifts for his niblings, so they often just get £50 each from him, though sometimes he'll roll up wirh airsoft guns. Socks for Marcus and Richard. Doreen tends to get her preferred perfume and a pair of silk pj's. Marcus's wife gets a fucking selection box. Evelyn gets few pelts from Darius's hunts. The old lady likes leather work, he saves them up for her.

Doreen, Evelyn and Marcus are the two who end up in the kitchen, Mark's wife stays with the kids and Richard in the living room. Darius will usually sit outside on the porch if he can, though eventually Doreen will drag his ass back inside. Too cold for that.

When you get added to the family, you'll be best off in the kitchen. 1) Doreen is fun, Evelyn is snarky, and Marcus isn't that bad when he's away from Rich and his wife. 2) if you stay in the living room, you'll have to put up with those two and the kids. 3) it's fucking freezing and Darius will take any attempt to cuddle with him as an opportunity for groping, so best not to join him outside.

Don't worry about gifts, Darius will say anything from him is from the two of you. But if you make any changes, he won't stop you. Apart from Doreen's perfume, he always gets her perfume. Any other changes he doesn't care about though.

Darius usually receives socks himself, some undies, a card from the niblings, and if he's lucky a new chisel or saw or something. Maybe a watch.

You'll usually get a necklace if you're a jewellery person, or perhaps new shoes. If you share a hobby with Doreen/Evelyn, she'll get you something she swears by.

Darius saves his gift for you till you get home, though. Mostly cause they're often plane tickets to whichever destination stole your heart this year and he can't be bothered to hear his sister-in-law complaining.

I really need to think of a name for Marcus' wife.

If you're someone who doesn't practise Christmas, it's very predictable who will and who won't force it on you with "Oh but it's not even a religious thing at this point!" Marcus' wife and Richard.

Otherwise, Darius just wants you to come cause its a day off. Free food. Doreen and Evelyn want to see you because omg Darius got a spouse. The niblings couldn't give the slightest shit. Marcus also doesn't give a shit but pretends to so his family will leave him alone.

If you want to stay at home, Darius will allow it.

Returning From an Extended Break...

As you may have noticed, I have come back from an extended period of inactivity. I normally post any Japanese pop culture oddities I have collected over the last 20 years ago I found on my travels on the web, in addition to reposting any similar material I come across in the same vein. This is normally promotional material for anime, tokusatsu and idols from the late Showa era into the early Heisei era.

In addition, I scan material from my own collection, mostly images from the many anime illustration collections I have collected since 1996 as well as promotional items like press kits/press sheets Japanese theatrical flyers (chirashi), Japanese movie program covers and other items I have. At the moment I am planning to post at least three scanned items from my collections each week.

I’ll often repost a lot of material relating to bands I liked when I was younger (lots of alt rock) and J-pop/techno pop trio Perfume. At the moment I am concentrating on posting at least one Patlabor scan a fortnight, but am also concentrating on topics such as the music/films/art of the Justified Ancients of Mu Mu/KLF/The K Foundation, covers of Japanese airsoft magazines inexplicably featuring idol groups and gravure idols in survival game gear holding airsoft guns, promotional material from the odd Japanese cult Happy Science and their bizarre anime films and material from the “sexy idol” boom in the early 1990′s.

I also plan to scan covers of a lot of the old English language anime magazines I have, mostly the ones from the anime bubble and bust in the UK from the mid 1990’s. Depending on what I post there may be lengthy descriptions or on the rarer occasion a rant.

Man, all the UK sellers I'm looking at for Airsoft shit are just... worthless these days. Almost everything is out of stock and I so badly want a G36C.

Even the US seller I have bookmarked is out of stock.

So we know kate has experience using guns and has access to them

What if she taught her son's how to use them too

Like they showed interest in them in their teen years and she decided it would be good to bond with them

Now instead of giving them *real* guns as gifts she gave them airsoft ones cus obviously only military or authorized personnel can have firearms

At least that's hos I think it works in the uk, I could be wrong lol

But nevertheless she teaches them gun safety as if they were handling real firearms, as it should be

I like to think even tho kate isnt normally on the front lines she would still have plenty of combat training

So shes absolutely a force to be reckoned with on the field lol

Oh god imagine kate had to give 13 a full firearms lesson cus she almost got someone killed or something

Kate uses a glock as a simple demonstration tool. Teaches her the parts and stuff but 13 is like "pfft I already know all that let's get to the fun part"

And technically she isnt lying lol

So kate is like "ok fine let's move onto safety. Rule number one, and I cannot stress this enough, ***always*** treat any gun as though it is loaded."

Right as she says that she sees 13 looking down the damn barrel

Kate literally smacks it out of her hands

13: Oi! What was that for?! Its not loaded!

Kate: *There could still be a bullet in the chamber you fucking shitbrain!*

13: oh.

Idk why but I love the idea that 13 is just doing everything you shouldnt do with guns

And poor kate is nearly bursting a blood vessel because of it

Kate: doctor... you are 2000 years old... you were friends with my father. How have you never been taught basic gun safety?

I want a gun so BAD. Not for any bad reason I’m just objectum and I think guns are very pretty, problem, I’m in the UK. where you’re ID’d for butter knives. Airsoft would be a GREAT option, problem, I’m a minor, and I’ve never been outwardly into airsoft because i never thought it was a thing in the UK due to strict gun laws. I really want an airsoft gun but I’m not a register airsoft player and a minor which, makes it practically impossible i think. I just want a pretty gun man (if you got any advice it would be appreciated)

I do hate that it’s so hard to get Airsoft stuff in the UK right now. It’s either damnably expensive (mainly for the gear) or just not in stock (for the guns).
