4. Every Kindred has a Beast — what does it sound like to your oc? Are there any particular triggers that make it more difficult to keep the Beast under control?

5. What preference, if any, does your Kindred have when it comes to feeding? How long does it take them to find their preference? How difficult are the logistics of feeding for them? Do they use ghouls or blood dolls?

She actually tried the Siren approach but the whole ‘seducing them’ part of it got her annoyed and took too much work just to feed on them until Jack told her she could try being an Alleycat and actually had to train her on how to do it properly. When she’s really desperate she’ll resort to drinking from blood bags, but she really hates feeding that way. She had a ghoul, but they got too greedy with her blood and she got so irritated that she killed them :|

6. Do they join any of the sects that exist in Kindred society? If they do, what prompts them to join the sect? Is it ideology, security, their sire, or something else? Are they a part of any other Kindred organization?

In the beginning she was part of the Camarilla but there were too many rules to follow through with which she gets why they live the way they do but she wasn’t much of fan about them, plus Lacroix pissed her off immensely and she thought “If I’m with the Camarilla, that means I gotta deal with him more than I already do... pass.” Then she got a taste of how the Anarchs live and thought that suited her better. Though if she could, she’d probably live with Gary underground lmao

11. Do they keep to themselves or do they set out to make any meaningful relationships with other Kindred, whether they’re professional, platonic or romantic? Are these connections genuine, or are they a means to an end to climb up the ladder of Kindred society?

We’re gonna ignore that crappy apartment vtm has the fledgling lives at and I’m saying her apartment is just the one she already lived in when she moved to Santa Monica, which is a very heavily styled y2k aesthetic apartment which includes a Britney poster, it’s just like a neon bomb went off in her room and nowhere else, which looks normal. She lives by herself because she doesn’t trust anyone to not steal her stuff or clean up. Plus she’s not there much anyway, so.

How does Helen deal with the lack of reflection? Do her ghouls take care of her appearance for her? What made her decide to be independent, and why does she antagonize the camarilla and the sabbat but not the anarchs?

Helen is often…frustrated by the lack of her reflection. She’s a vain woman and likes things done a particular way so it would be easier if she just did it herself. Ghouls have been in charge of her appearance in the past (she made two of her lady’s maids ghouls when she was first turned) but she often trusts it to the care of her childe Maria now because Maria has been with her so long she knows how she likes it. She doesn’t like mirrors in the house just because it reminds her of her lack of reflection.

They often sit for portraits every two years or so (they have lost of paintings of their family!) and Helen delights in them and hangs them all around their home. She also often tells Lucien and Maria how beautiful they are just so they know (and because she knows how frustrating it can be). 

As for her desire to be independent, Helen’s sire was a prominent figure in the First Anarch Rebellion - a Lasombra turncoat who turned tail when the Anarchs came to kill the Lasombra antediluvian. So, her sire instilled in her a hatred of the Camarilla. She came to hate the Sabbat due to her sire who was a very abusive and manipulative man who took advantage of her desire for companionship. They traveled together for roughly a century until due to her sire’s neglect she turned a young painter she fell in love with during the last remainders of the Renaissance. Her sire slaughtered her childe and in turn she diablerized him and defected 👌🏻

The Anarchs have never personally wronged her and while she thinks they’re a bit naive, idealistic and impulsive she believes that at least they’re the most free of the Kindred and they don’t really give a shit about her as long as she’s not doing super evil stuff or messing with them.

anon, start with the bachelor because he's the easiest route, on day 1 you can get 2 pistols, sell one for extra cash, buy all the food you can on day 1 as well, run away with lara's money on day 2 because who give a shit, dumpster diving is your best activity and NEVER stop walking because the clock is unforgiving
