The bar was closed yet a woman with long black hair sat on a bar stool, drinking a small glass of alcohol. She rubbed her fingers against the cold glass, staring down at the golden liquid in silence and listening to nothing but white noise and activity happening outside. She sighed, tired from the events that occurred not too long ago. It was just so much to take in because it was completely unexpected. Her boss was gone. Her best friend is dead. Naka was no longer going to stand behind the bar serving drinks and chatting with people with that dumb smile.

Henry knew this day would come yet she didn’t think it would happen so soon. She pressed her hand against her forehead, remembering Curos and Adnan crying at Naka’s deathbed. It saddened her to see them like this, especially with the positions they stood in Naka’s life as lover and companion. They didn’t deserve this. Losing a lover and possibly never seeing them again. Losing another loved one and falling further into depression. The death of Naka was all too much for them.

But what about her? How did she feel with all of this?

She felt sad of course, but she couldn’t cry yet. She couldn’t break down. She still had to break the news to Akira and the other employees. She had to tell Takeshi that his uncle was dead. She needs to be their rock to keep things together. Otherwise, things will fall apart. The bar will be gone and who knows what will happen to the future of Akira, Sato, and Ryuu. This place is their second home.  

“Naka…Why did you have to leave?” She whispered to herself. There was no one around, so she was opened to talk to herself or talk out loud as if Naka were listening. As if he were sitting next to her with a glass of whiskey during their talks.

“You know everyone loves you. If you leave, everyone will fall apart. You mean so much to them. A friend. A father-like figure. A lover. A partner. You mean so much more than you think. I wish you could see that.”

“You are all so precious to me. I’m grateful to have all of you.”

“All of you have changed for the better. I’m so proud.”

“What is there to be proud of? I’m still a coward. I couldn’t even save you in time. If I had known you were poisoned or that disgusting party would escalate to that level, I would have come sooner- no I would have stopped you from going.” Her grip tightened around the glass as her emotions continued to rise, shifting from anger to guilt to sadness.

“I could have given you a chance to live, but I knew you wouldn’t want it. It would be unfair if I gave you immortality without your permission. The others want to provide you with a normal life, but that still means you would die.”

A single tear ran down her cheek as she finally realized something. This entire time Henry had thought what others would have wanted, but in reality… she was the one who didn’t want him to leave the most. Naka meant so much to her. She cared for him to the point of saving him from a couple of occasions and comforting him when feeling down, but he also helped her in return when she was down.

Naka was precious to her. He was a part of her family.

Henry was grateful to have him be a part of her life.

“All of you were the greatest gifts I could ever have received.”

“No,” she said, her voice cracking as tears felt onto the wooden bar. “You were the greatest gift I ever received. I-If you didn’t stop to talk to me, I wouldn’t be here. I would have fallen into madness…You saved me…”

“…Naka, please. Don’t go…I need you. We all need you. Please don’t go!”

Tears streamed down her red cheeks, and no matter how times she wiped them away, she continued to shed many more. Henry finally began to sob and rested her arms on the surface to bury her face as she cried.

Voltron is a great show, y'all are just salty *spoilers*

Don't get me wrong, Allura's death was sad and things could've ended a little differently, but it's still an amazing show. Not all shows are perfect though, all of them have some flaws. Sure we could've gotten klance or adashi could've been canon, or things could've been a lot worse. The last season could've been cancelled, no voltron season 8, no getting to see how our paladins, our legendary defenders of the universe save the universe and others along with it. We got to see Zarkon get defeated, Lotor was a very interesting character and I was upset to see his melted mangled corpse, he used the alteans as batteries to harvest their quintessence, but like I said before, as a villain he's still an interesting and great character. Hagar/ Honerva lost both her son and husband to voltron and went mad, she was willing to destroy every universe to get what she wanted. Allura saved Honerva by helping her see how all life is important, after, Allura became the universe, I'm still kinda shaky on details about it. But we got good ships in the last season, Curo is a great ship, Curtis supports Shiro and stood by his side, Allurance (I don't stan it) was still a great ship, they were both happy together, it wasn't a toxic/ boring relation ship in the show. Y'all who stan Lance should be happy for your son, he's happy with her, y'all who stan Allura should be happy for your princess, she's not really gone, she's the universe, the stars, the planets. Keith stans, y'all gotta see your boy in a real pony tail, sure the pineapple thing was adorable. Shiro stans, your boy found love, his name is Curtis and he's a supporting and loving husband, Pidge stans, y'all gotta see her with pig tails and in the og 80s pidge outfit. Hunk stans, our boy is making meals across the universe, uniting people. The only thing that upsets me most is that Coran didn't get to say goodbye to Allura, but Coran stans, your space uncle got to go back to Altea and live with the Alteans, there could've been a little bit more Hunray, we got to see them reunite in season 7, but Hunk still got a happy ending, and so did the rest of the characters
