I know it's not that deep but I do love Kahlopatra as an exploration of how gender and beauty expectations have simultaneously evolved while remaining rigid and hurtful as ever in the past two decades. They aknowledge this in the scene where they're about to kiss ("girls like you dont fall for girls like me"). Frida doesn't give a shit what people think about her looks , but she's still aware that she exists out of the norm, it's impossible for her not to. I like it

webby week day 4: au/headcanon

heres my headcanon everyooneee!! i wish i couldve given her a bit more curlier hair, though at least ive given her whiskers. (mostly because scrooge has them. but they also fit her A LOT.) id like to believe that she would wear lots of jewelry along with star clips just because she thinks theyre cute. not to mention the unibrow- though thats more of a self insert, but i still think it came out looking cute! the braces was a last second thought but when i looked deeper onto it i think that she would genuinely have to wear them! the adventuring would have broken her teeth which resulted to the braces 😆
