The British government says that inflation isn't "that bad".
I have coeliac disease and am physically unable to digest gluten or wheat. I have to eat food made of corn flour, and it's already four times more expensive than food made out of wheat flour. Inflation has made it damn near impossible to find ordinarily priced food that I can actually fucking eat, because all the cheap alternative stuff designed to help people save money have a shit ton of wheat it.
Next time the government wants to tell me that inflation isn't "that bad", I want them to live on a gluten free diet for a week with an average weekly wage. Maybe then they'd fucking understand that just because abled people can cope with inflation, it doesn't mean disabled people can.
Fuck the UK government. Fuck the monarchy as well.

British prime minister, Rishi Sunak, after breaking historical precedent to veto 2 gender bills, one each from Scotland and Wales, has now said he is concerned after a report has said that most children do not immediately tell their parents when they are questioning their gender identity. Perhaps if he wants to know why he should look for a mirror, the answer will be staring him in the face.

it was the POOR PEOPLE who did not get the emergency alert
people with sim cards that use the "three" network such as three or smarty (like i use), did NOT receive the emergency alert test today. these networks are known for being a lot cheaper than other networks such as O2. the government is once again prioritising those who can afford more expensive mobile data as these are the people that vote for them. this is essentially the government saying that the working classes are second rate citizens that do not deserve to be warned of fires, floods, or terrorist threats near them. do NOT vote conservative if you wish to be allowed to know if your life is in danger.
this system is meant to warn you of fires, floods, terrorist threats, and other danger. this is not a privilege it is a right.
vote for a party that does not discriminate (hard to find these days i know).
take the tories out of power.
public safety is a right not a privilege.
I hate asking for reblogs but we NEED people to know that the government does not care about them. people NEED to know that the government will leave you to die.

Britain pushes tough tech rules under new digital watchdog
Britain pushes tough tech rules under new digital watchdog
LONDON (AP) — Big tech companies like Google and Facebook parent Meta would have to comply with tough British rules under a new digital watchdog aimed at giving consumers more choice online — or face the threat of big fines. The United Kingdom government on Friday outlined the powers it’s planning for its Digital Markets Unit, a regulator set up last year to take on the dominance of tech giants.…

Please read this. On the 12th of December, UK MPs will debate UK Arms sales to Israel. If you live in the UK, please find your MP and send them an email on why they should support to stop arming Israel with weapons. Hopefully, we can strike a blow to Israel if this goes through. If you don't live in the UK, please help spread this around. Please.

Lula concerned over Assange's extradition to the US
Tumblr media
Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula Da Silva has voiced his concern over the imminent extradition of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange from Britain to the United States to stand trial for espionage. Lula insisted Assange's arrest was against freedom of the press and the defense of democracy.
“I see with concern the imminent possibility of extradition of journalist Julian Assange. Assange did an important job denouncing the illegitimate actions of one state against another. His arrest goes against the defense of democracy and freedom of the press,” Lula said on Twitter. 'It is important that we all mobilize,' he added.
Assange has been imprisoned in the United Kingdom since April 2019 after being arrested following nearly seven years at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London. He faces 18 criminal charges in the US for leaking 700,000 classified documents which contained information about wars, attacks, alleged abuses committed by the armed forces, and spying on heads of government.
