I am doing something a little different this time in honor of Juneteenth. For those of you who don’t know Juneteenth is celebrated at the day of emancipation here in Texas. On this day, two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation, it was proclaimed that all enslaved persons in the state of Texas were to be free. Normally we would celebrate with some live music, fun, and food but the public festivities have been postponed due to COVID. So I thought I might give a shout-out to all the amazing writers of color out there!
