Sounds like Donald J. Trump's criminal record is longer than CVS receipts! Maybe he should stick to reality TV instead of reality courtrooms.

waiting for the day that people realise the jokes about Americans being idiots is actually intentional. uneducated people are the best kind of people for fascist governments to control. education is becoming a privilege and we are moving backwards. knowledge is power and the less people know the more power others have over them. them being ‘stupid’ is just them being easier to control.

Imagine this:
Something is placed deep inside you, without your say.
You are bound to carry it for months.
No way out.
No negotiation.
No safeword.
Just your body, seized for someone else’s purpose.
You are used without limit.
It sounds like a forbidden hardcore kink – but it is a legal reality.
Welcome to Pro-Life America.

"I didn't know Trump was going to do that when I voted for him-" the left fucking warned you, and you didn't listen. Ignorance isn't an excuse.
When it comes to the Trumpgretters, absolutely! They should have listened! We weren't saying these things baselessly either. Everything he's done, except for the weird Canada 51st state stuff, has been exactly what he promised on the campaign trail or was laid out in Project 2025.
I'll also add though that there are only a relatively small portion of his voters that seem to be saying this.
I mean, sure, Trump is down to about 41% approval, but he won with 49% of the vote. Vast majority of his voters are still indoctrinated and like the indoctrination.

Usually I wait until pride month to post these, but it's on my mind lately. I am a transgender male in a blue state. I am moderately well-off, and quite privileged. I'm not saying that as a flex -- I'm saying that to give you a general idea of how I 'should' be able to weather difficulties relating to the political climate. I am bisexual, married to a cisgender man.
I know this is a lot of 'me, me, me.' I know people have it far worse than I do. But these are my experiences, as someone who should be pretty insulated in a blue state.
I've currently been working on getting my Canadian citizenship certificate due to the circumstances in the States. I didn't realize for some reason I'd qualify, despite knowing my mother was born in Ontario. I had called the lawyers I'm working with about a month ago, receiving a price quote. When I called them today and told them the price, they actually informed me they had raised it (but kept the old price for me). Apparently they've received so many calls they're overwhelmed and are trying to slow down applicants.
I was able to update my documents such as my SSN and Birth Certificate before the changeover. Unfortunately, I didn't get my passport, and wound up needing it for the citizenship certificate. In spite of my birth certificate being up-to-date, they referenced an older passport I possessed and marked me down as 'F' while politely informing me through letter they had "corrected" my birth sex. I now sit in a weird limbo where my birth certificate is correct and my passport isn't -- a strange inverse of what usually happens.
In getting my documentation involving my court ordered name change from Texas, for the first time they asked me for my ID. I've ordered the information multiple times in the past and they've never asked. They asked over an unsecure line (personal e-mail), and considering Texas' love of starting databases of trans people it doesn't give me much comfort. I am fortunately no longer in that state. But I don't know what they'll do with the information.
My previous clinic in Texas closed down. My new clinic in Massachusetts has started referring to my visits as diabetes consultation rather than HRT. I'm thankful for that, but also somewhat unnerved they feel they need to make these steps.
My stepmother wants me to travel to London with her, as I've never visited and she's got family and friends there. As I am a passing transgender male who may make women uncomfortable in women's spaces, it's safest if I don't use public bathrooms at all.
I've started looking into TSA Pre-Check for travel. I've been detained before, as my binder and anatomy triggers their body scans, and I expect this to be a more frequent occurrence -- particularly out of red states. TSA Pre-Check allegedly allows you to avoid the body scan, hopefully saving me from that potential situation.
I planned on traveling outside the country to go to a friend's wedding. I am now unsure if I will get harassed at the border. My passport designation being wrong is somewhat of a mixed-blessing, because if I trigger their scans I'll at the very least just be treated as a confused mislead woman rather than have my passport confiscated. Or worse, treated as a threat.
I'm worried about my husband's job. He's a civilian contractor at the DoD. He's been pretty insulated from the impacts on federal workers, but as he works in cyber-security he is in obvious need of a security clearance. Considering the administration has been using withdrawal of security clearances as punishment for organizations who are not in lock-step with his policies, I'm afraid his marriage to me may impact his future. Trump's wording of the military ban on trans people has been comments about their "'dishonesty and moral weakness." I can see association with me making him seem untrustworthy enough to revoke his clearance.
This isn't even getting into how he's been impacted in other ways. His old boss took the deferred retirement (she was a civilian fed employee). His current boss is getting a divorce over it, as the RTO mandate requires him to drive 5 hours into office and has strained his already frayed marriage. Due to his training in cyber-security he's been able to tell me aaaaaaall the ways the administration is currently fucking up.
Speaking of my husband, fun fact! The SAVE act that's passed through the House and is likely partially intended to stop trans people (and married women!) from voting will not stop me from voting. But it will stop my cisgender husband, who took my last name in our marriage. I'm encouraging him to get his passport to address this.
Reading my old pride posts is honestly depressing, at this point. They started very optimistic, and have only grown darker over time. I don't think this is even the worst it can become. I'm dreading Pride this year.
I wish I had better news for everyone. I don't even have it 'that bad,' and it's still... worse than I expected, honestly.

Despite his clear lack of personal religious conviction - his disinterest in or ignorance of the core tenets of any faith - Donald Trump successfully aligned himself with conservative Christian voters. His supporters were willing to overlook his character flaws, his evident disdain for religious principles, and his personal immorality. What mattered was that he, in their view, would defend their values and deliver on their agenda.
For many religious voters, Trump became a symbol of power and vengeance - someone who would "fight for them," not out of any spiritual conviction, but because he promised to uphold their social and political priorities. This willingness to overlook his hypocrisy, to accept him as a "savior" despite his blatant disregard for their faith’s core values, reveals the extent to which personal grievances, power, and tribalism outweighed any moral consistency.
The progression can be traced back to a cultural shift rooted in denial. The advent of Trumpism marked a profound moment in American history - an era in which facts, reason, and objective truth became increasingly irrelevant to large swaths of the population. This denial was not born from ignorance alone; it was a strategic decision to reject the uncomfortable realities of a changing world.
Trump and his movement thrived on this denial. At its core, Trumpism is about rejecting the facts that contradict the deeply held beliefs of its followers. A significant aspect of this was the rejection of inconvenient truths about race, gender, climate change, and science. As America changed, these groups faced a crisis of identity - an identity deeply rooted in outdated worldviews that were increasingly being challenged by social progress, scientific understanding, and demographic shifts. In response, Trump and his movement provided a simple, yet powerful antidote: denial.
Trump's followers were not only reacting to external changes, but to internal discomfort. They hated the idea that science contradicted their religion, that their hypocrisy was being exposed, and that their views on race and gender were increasingly considered offensive or outdated. To cope with these revelations, they did not engage with the facts or attempt to reconcile their beliefs with a modern world. Instead, they simply denied the facts -choosing comfort over truth, and aligning themselves with a figure who, rather than addressing uncomfortable realities, validated their grievances.
Trump, as the leader of this movement, embodied and reinforced this rejection of reality. He empowered his followers to believe in an alternative version of events, a version where they were always the victims, where their discomfort was justified, and where their worldview was never in need of change. Trump didn't need to deliver coherent policy solutions or rational arguments. He only needed to assert that their fears and frustrations were valid, that the facts were lies, and that he would fight for their right to remain in denial.
This denial is not just an individual failing - it is a systemic disease that undermines the democratic process. Trumpism capitalized on a toxic mix of denial and hatred. Many of his supporters found themselves not only rejecting uncomfortable truths but also fostering a deep resentment toward other Americans - particularly "liberals". This hatred became a driving force so powerful that many voters were willing to act against their own self-interest if it meant causing harm to their perceived enemies. They were driven less by the desire for personal gain and more by the satisfaction of seeing their "enemies" suffer. (source)
