What is The Travel Duration of Char Dham Yatra? 

Normally the duration of the Char Dham Yatra is 10 to 12 days. The four holy sites are Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. Every site takes time to travel and complete local sightseeing, and traveling between each site is quite time consuming.

It may vary according to the journey speed and stoppages for acclimatization and rest. This would obviously cut down the time for those opting for helicopter service and making the pilgrimage a little easier to manage.

Air Force Day 2020:  सेना में उत्तराखंड के वीरों ने लहराया है परचम

इंडियन एयर फोर्स रण में पराक्रम की बात हो और उत्तराखंड का नाम न आए, ऐसा मुमकिन नहीं है। सैन्य इतिहास में उत्तराखंड के वीरों के साहस के असंख्य किस्से दर्ज हैं। आज आठ अक्टूबर को जब 88वां वायु सेना दिवस मनाया जा रहा है तो प्रदेश के वीर सपूतों की कुर्बानी और दिलेरी को भी याद किया जाएगा। आज ही के दिन वर्ष 1932 में भारतीय वायुसेना की स्थापना हुई थी। देश के आजाद होने से पहले वायुसेना को रॉयल इंडियन फोर्स के रूप में पहचाना जाता था। नभ में शौर्य दिखाना हो या महिलाओं के स्थायी कमीशन की अलख। वायुसेना में भी प्रदेश के जांबाज अग्रिम पंक्ति में खड़े दिखाई दिए हैं।

बात जब भी सशस्त्र सेनाओं के शौर्य की होती है, वीरभूमि उत्तराखंड का नाम जरूर आता है। थलसेना की तुलना में वायुसेना में उत्तराखंडियों की नफरी भले ही कम है, पर वीरता व शौर्य की गाथाएं अनेक हैं। इतना ही नहीं, महिलाओं को वायुसेना में स्थायी कमीशन दिलाने में भी राज्य के नेतृत्व को भुलाया नहीं जा सकता।

भारतीय वायुसेना में अधिकारी रही विंग कमांडर अनुपमा जोशी ने ही इस मुहिम को मुकाम तक पहुंचाया था। पिछले कुछ मही��ों से एलएसी पर जिस तरह पड़ोसी देश चीन हरकत कर रहा है, उसमें भी भारतीय वायुसेना लद्दाख से लेकर अरुणाचल और उत्तराखंड के सीमांत क्षेत्रों में पूरी तरह मुस्तैद है। एयरफोर्स के सर्विलांस सिस्टम को इतनी आसानी से भेदना दुश्मन के बस की बात नहीं है। वायुसेना की इस मजबूती में कहीं न कहीं उत्तराखंडियों का भी अहम योगदान है।

जब भी देश की सीमाओं की सुरक्षा की बात आई है तो वायुसेना में तैनात अधिकारी व जवान (एयरमैन) अपना शौर्य दिखाने में पीछे नहीं रहे हैं। आसमान के इन जांबाजों की वीरता का अंदाजा इस बात से लगाया जा सकता है कि वायुसेना में तैनात रहे प्रदेश के 30 से अधिक अधिकारियों-जवानों को अब तक वीरता पदक प्राप्त हो चुके हैं। किसी को वीर चक्र मिला तो किसी को वायुसेना मेडल। सराहनीय सैन्य सेवा के लिए विशिष्ठ सेवा मेडल व परम विशिष्ठ सेवा मेडल प्राप्त करने वाले अफसरों की तादाद भी कम नहीं है।

आकाश से सरहदों की रक्षा में उत्तराखंड के वीर आगे रहे हैं, लेकिन महिलाओं को वायुसेना में स्थायी कमीशन दिलाने में भी राज्य के नेतृत्व को कभी भुलाया नहीं जा सकता है। भारतीय वायुसेना में अधिकारी रही अनुपमा उत्तराखंड की ही हैं, जिन्होंने महिलाओं को वायु सेना में स्थायी कमीशन के मुहिम को मुकाम तक पहुंचाया ।
