@mikoreilovepostgenerator and I had a little talk and thought why not spread the suffering here.

William did in fact get the Thorns of Death after the soul attacked him during the events of "The story of Will the reaper"

He is oddly good at hiding it. While he is active in collecting souls, its usually not enough to cause a flare up as he is often trying to help Grell and Ronald figure out what they're doing in their collecting (whether to correct them on a misap,  etc )

And on the occasions that a flare up does occur he usually goes around the side of a building.  or inside of an empty room or office(if he is at the reaper HQ) 

Basically, no one has any clue. 

Until he makes the mistake of letting himself full on laugh whilst talking to Adrian. He knows he messed up as he feels the tight contractions in his chest and immediately starts wheezing and fighting for air. 

Undertaker almost immediately reconizes it, completely surprised that he hadn't picked up on it before hand.

William refers to Undertaker as "Adrian" whenever he talks about him to other Reapers. It's obvious by how the way he talks about him that they're more than friends.

Grell is Livid when she finds out about who he is really referring to.

William has the tendency to burn his mouth when drinking tea because he often tilts the cup very quickly causing the tea to rush over the side quicker. This is because he has come more tuned to drinking from a long mortician's beaker, which usually have much longer sides than a normal tea cup and need a bit more momentum to get the tea over the edge of.

May I request some headcanons for UTWILL ( Undertaker x William ), please?

You guys are knocking these requests out of the park!! Again, a ship I never would have thought of!! :D I’m loving this idea, though. These two are so similar in a lot of regards, I’m upset at myself for not thinking of putting them together. 

Let’s assume, for the sake of this exercise, that UT is still a shinigami/reaper. Oh, no. Now I’m getting ideas for when UT becomes a deserter to the shinigami life. Fuck it - I’LL DO BOTH. 

OKAY - some headcanons! 

Pre-deserter life!

*UT makes sure to set all the clocks ahead in their shared living space by five minutes. He knows how meticulous William can be when it comes to being on time to places, that if he should get in the mood for keeping his lover around a bit longer than he normally would, William will think he’s late, but he’ll be exactly on time. 

*William can’t understand why UT has a fascination with coffins, considering their second lease on life as reapers. He supposes UT finds it humorous, since they were so interested in ending their first lives, to be brought into this second life only to collect souls is irony at its finest. When he finds some that are beautiful, he’ll drag UT there to show him. And UT always laughs, but not in a condescending way. He loves that William is going out of his way to make him happy. 

Post-deserter life!

*William lingers by a certain shop that caters to those no longer of this earth, but won’t ever go in. He knows that his former lover is there - the macabre was always something that fascinated him. He wants to go in and see him, ask him why he’s messing with the system the way he is, but then can’t bring himself to go in and ask. 

*When the call goes out to go clean up the mess in the Atlantic, William knows he can’t refuse, although he wants to. He knows the man that he’d fallen in love with is the cause of it all, and doesn’t want to run the risk of being put into a position where he has to subdue him. He sees him from a distance, and like their former life together - UT waves and blows him a kiss, William showing no remorse on his face. But in his heart, he’s destroyed again. Thankfully, the two reapers he’d sent on this assignment needed his help, so he locked those memories away and went back to business.

Oscar bingo. My view is exact opposite of Kate ( so no copy- or repli- Kate.) Cleavage and thugs la Jolie and Celebitchy immediately shooting off how sophisticated she is compared to frumpy Kate. Plus having conned the BRF (and the likes of Oprah and Gayle) she thinks utwill be an encore conning HW.

Every so often I'm like. I should make a concise summary/analysis of William's character. For the sake of any fic writers etc who feel lost abt him or his motivations. And I should also make a much more concise summary of my utwill foils argument since it's been a few years since I wrote it. But like...... the effort..............
