It has been such a long day, traveling to the Phoenix Cave with the others, going through all of it, meeting Locke again, going to Kohlingen. She’s the only one waiting for him right now, and she’s so scared of what would happen. She has just gotten him back. She can’t lose him again, right ? She feels so silly for crying. At least, she knows he’s safe. She has been convinced it was the case since she saw that bird with his bandanna, but now, she knows it.

When he finally approaches her, though, he feels DIFFERENT... happy, relieved. Or is it just wishful thinking ? Celes quickly gets her answer, though, as Locke wips away her tears and kisses her lips. She doesn’t move at first; she hasn’t seen it coming at all and it’s her first kiss. But she eventually wraps her arms around his neck, kissing him back before she leans her head on his shoulder. She’s blushing and doesn’t want him to see it. 

“I missed you,” she admits with a soft voice.

what is the theory that ivan manipulated the event where till and mizi met the wagyein?

It's not a theory, actually! It's confirmed that Ivan orchestrated the whole event. The true reason as to why however is still unknown. The information provides more context to this scene, though:

During the earlier times of ALNST the most rational explanation for this scene was that Till ran after a flower crown (presumably Mizi's) and Ivan followed him in out of curiosity. Now we know that Ivan was conveniently just standing there because he was waiting.

Side note, I find it heartbreaking (and maybe a little funny, sorry) that Till most likely didn't notice Ivan in this scene. That's just like him, isn't it. Always too busy running after Mizi while Ivan trails behind, an ever-present shadow.

I'm not sure how Ivan manipulated the circumstances for both of them to end up there, but it is confirmed that everything was intentional. What strikes me most is how they describe this particular scene:

I can't copy down what they said word-for-word (Patreon info), but they described Ivan watching "creepily" as Till and Mizi are faced with danger. We know that Ivan was familiar with the Cerberus wagyein beforehand, enough to touch its teeth and even to rest himself inside its maw. To Ivan, the wagyein is not dangerous, but to Till and Mizi, it could be. Ivan prepared the wagyein, led them there, and watched "creepily" from afar as Till fell on his knees, seemingly injured.

The closest I can get to making sense of Ivan's "scheme" is that he wanted to see how other children would react in a dangerous situation. Ivan's always been an observer, after all, and he's learned to survive by copying the more "normal" behaviors of his peers. This situation occured when Ivan was still young and had not yet developed his more charming mask, so perhaps he staged this encounter to study a situational response, to learn and mimic the emotion of fear. And what better subjects for the experiment than two of the most expressive and reactive humans of their batch? It helps that he was already fixated on Till beforehand, too. I think Ivan became irreversibly obssessed after this incident, especially since it's framed as a turning point in Ivan's life, comparing Till to the stars.

This is just my attempt at an interpretation, though. It could very well be for another reason. He most likely chose Till and Mizi specifically for personal reasons, not just for reaction. I'm still not sure on the purpose behind the whole thing.

The team wanted to capture Ivan's "dark emotions" through the shot of his stalking, which could relate to his more sinister intentions. His gaze can be read in a few different ways, though. Curiosity, interest, fear, etc. Maybe that's why they decided to redraw the shot in ROUND 6.

I think this better sells the feeling they were trying to convey.

Celes is still not entire good with human contacts, even if she’s slowly getting better now. She wishes Locke was there. She hopes to reunite with him very soon. If so many of her friends are alive, it means he is too, right ? He has to be. 

Now, at least, Terra is back. It’s not that she doesn’t like Sabin, Edgar and Setzer, but she doesn’t feel like she has anything in common with them. With Terra, they both have their past with the Empire. It’s RELIEVING, to know the other is willing to fight against Kefka.

Once back on the ship, Terra approaches Celes and hugs her. The former general doesn’t move for a short moment, then wraps her arms around her friend to hug her back. It’s probably something Terra learned with the children of Mobliz. And it’s COMFORTING. “Thanks. I think I needed it.” She admits with a brief chuckle.

I aggressively scrolled down and picked the part it randomly stopped at so ,,,,

Law found himself far too focused on that last part. He hid it away, nodding.

Dammit. The less he talked about or to Eustass Kid, the faster and cleaner this would go.

They reached another door, this one cut into the length of the hall, and Heat pulled up.

"Give me a second to give Boss a head's up." He stopped with his hand on the handle and glanced at Law. “Dont need to tell me. I'll make it quick.”

Law didn't argue. There was no use rushing in if he was going to hit the roadblock that was Eustass Kid's idiocy. Faster to let his crew get it by him. They seemed to have a system for worming things into his thick head.

Bepo gave a nod of acknowledgement on Law's behalf, and Heat headed in, slipping through the door and leaving it open a slither.

“Oi, Boss.”

"There you are, Heat.” Eustass' voice was pitched far flatter than usual. Less grating screech and more deep tremors below the earth. Lower than Law had heard it all night but close to how he'd spoken when they had been, if he was generous, strategising to use their awakened powers to finally take down Big Mom. “Did ya track down a quack yet? He keeps drifting off."

"We’ve got one,” Heat said, “but you're not gonna like it."

Blushing slightly, Bepo glanced at Law. As though they were eavesdropping instead of waiting like they'd been instructed to.

Law zipped his jacket up further, bringing it to his chin. “You don't have to stay.”

Bepo’s face set, becoming painfully determined. “I’m not leaving you here alone, Captain.”

Law hid his smile on the opposite side of his mouth to what Bepo was standing on, letting the corner twitch up.

"I don't care who it is,” Eustass said on the other side of the door. “Get them in here. Killer's—"

"It's Trafalgar Law."

The silence was stark. A shockwave climbing out of an impact crater, or the remnants of a bare seabed after the waves had been dragged out by the hand of mother nature. Promising ruptured ear drums or terminal drowning if you didn't get far enough away.

Bepo turned his determination on the gap between the door and its frame. Apparently trying to scare off the tension leaking out.

Ignoring the urgency growing in his hands and the impatience in his sternum, Law tapped the toe of his boot on the floor.

“Trafalgar?” As always, Eustass pulled Law’s name apart with his teeth as he said it. The meat of it coming off the bone like something slow cooked.

Law ignored the usual spark it ignited in his gut and tapped his boot again. Getting worked up wouldn't get him through this without a bigger headache.

“Wire figured he was closest,” Heat offered.

DC Comics' Elseworlds Line Returns in 2024

DC Comics has announced the official return on the Elseworlds line of comics. Elseworlds comics are out-of-continuity stories featuring DC's characters. To celebrate, DC also announced upcoming Elseworlds titles - Gotham by Gaslight: The Kryptonian Age, Batman the Barbarian, Green Lantern: Dark, Batman: Nightfire, and sequels to Dark Knights of Steel and DC vs. Vampires.

Gotham by Gaslight: The Kryptonian Age is a 12-issue series from Andy Diggle and Leandro Fernandez that will expand the world created by Brian Augustyn and Mike Mignola. The greatest heroes of the world will come together, forming a 19th-century Justice League to face the greatest threat that the world has known. In the process, the heroes will learn of the world's secret Kryptonian history.

Batman the Barbarian is a 6-issue series from Greg Smallwood. The comic is a retelling of Batman's origin set in a medieval Earth.

Green Lantern: Dark is a 7-issue series from Tate Brombal and Werther Dell-Edera in which the DC Universe is a dark fantasy wastland where monsters overrun a post-apocalyptic Earth. "Now, darkness prevails as humanity struggles to survive on a corrupted planet. Only one hero remains, the one who wields the green flame that can return light to a dark world—The Green Lantern. But she’s been missing for years, and, on the isolated island of New England, the horrors only get worse by the night." (DC Comics)

Batman: Nightfire is a 6-issue series from Clay Mann and Seth Mann. Bruce Wayne tries to "rectify a devastating tragedy by traveling to the past. What secrets does this Batman hold so tight that he would watch Gotham be reduced to ashes? What truths are exposed when there is nowhere left to hide?" (DC Comics)

Dark Knights of Steel: Allwinter is a 6-issue series from Jay Kristoff and Tirso Cons set in the world of Tom Taylor's Dark Knights of Steel and inspired by Norse mythology. In the series "the snows fall thick, blood runs black, and color itself is only a distant memory. The legendary assassin Deathstroke stalks a frozen wasteland, killing for coin among a nation of ever-warring jarls. But when our murderer for hire finds himself cast in the role of reluctant guardian, will he fight to end the icy curse destroying his land, or be consumed by the sins of his own dark past?" (DC Comics)

DC vs. Vampires: World War V is a 12-issue series from Matthew Rosenberg and Otto Schmidt that serves a a sequel to DC vs. Vampires. Sunlight has been restored to Earth, but did it come too late? "As a new Ice Age dawns, humanity faces their most deadly threat yet—Barbara Gordon Queen of the Vampires!" (DC Comics)

I'm not even in the slightest able to describe how heartbroken I really feel lately and especially today.. 😭

It all started back in December 2022 with Jin and it's still hard for me to just think about it today. Back then I already knew it wouldn't be any easier for me to see the others leave as well. I love every single one of them for all the joy, laughter, smiles and happiness they brought to us in their own unique ways. I will forever be grateful for everything they did just to make Army happy. 💜

But to be quite honest: After Jin left today is the day I feared the most. The day both Jimin and Jungkook had to say their final goodbyes. Deep down inside of me I was so scared about how they were going to take it. Then they went Live and what should I say? I was not ready for any of this. To see Jimin so emotional vulnerable, to see those tears in his eyes after all those years in which he gifted us with his beautiful laugh and smile broke my heart in more than a million pieces. And Jungkook who clearly didn't want to end his Live, who clearly wanted to stay with Army even if it's just for a few more minutes? I just.. I can't.. 😭💔

I never thought how much them leaving would really hurt me but here we are.. Here I am sitting in my living room crying not knowing how to overcome these painful emotions. Somehow I feel empty like I just lost my two best friends. I know how ridiculous this might sound to some of you but that's the way I feel anyway. 💔

For me the only thing that makes it around 0,001% easier to let Jimin and Jungkook go as well is that they at least will have each other and find themselves able to rely on each other. They will walk down this path together as the "brothers" they have been all the time before. Maybe that little thought will keep me going sometime. But definitely not today. Not after we all could see how sad and heartbroken they really were. 😔

2025. A number that for a lot of people simply means that a new year has started. A new year with both its ups and downs just like every other year before. But for Army.. For me.. 2025 means so much more. Finally we will get our beloved boys back. BTS and Army will be together again no matter in which way. No one knows in which state both mentally and physically they will return to us. But I'm sure Army will love them and still have their backs. I sure will! 💜

Army! I assume everyone of us is in their own state of pain and grief right now. But no matter how hard the time till their return might be we have to stay strong for them as they surely will stay strong for us. We owe them to stay strong. No one of us has to go through this alone. Let's stick together as one, let's help each other and let's stay strong together. We can go through this hard time as long as we do it together. For their and our own sake. 💜

Seokjin, Hoseok, Yoongi, Namjoon, Taehyung, Jimin and Jungkook. No matter what stones have been thrown into your way you kept on being strong even if it was difficult. You were able to do that because every single one of you is a strong person. But also because you fought together for your dreams and for what you all love. Music. Army. Please stay strong and keep on fighting so that one beautiful day you all return safely to us. We will be here. Patiently waiting for the day that we are able to make all of you smile and laugh out of pure happiness again. 💜🫰🏻
