“Ya lo quebraste?”

Erron chiflo, ignorando los piquetes de el hombre sentado cómodamente en un sillón pequeño. Empujó unos botones, mirando fijamente la pantalla de la tele. La imagen cambió, enseñado una pantalla azul “imposible… gracias a mi talento con la tecnología ya estamos listos para noche de películas.” Sonrío y camino hacia el sillón “me vas a decir que escogiste?” se sentó con un gemido lento, dejando que Kotal se recargada control el. Pretendía por un momento que lo lastimaba, un juego entre los dos.

“Mi amor… es una sorpresa…” El otro sonrió, observando cómo Erron se acomodaba a su lado. Erron levantó las cejas, una sorpresa sería cierto-acordó haber mirado Kotal buscando entre una caja de cintas de vhs.

“Ándale… ojalá no me duermo…” Erron cero los ojos, recargándose contra el sillón, una mano flojamente tirado sobre el hombro de Kotal.

“Te despierto…” Susurró en respuesta.

Erron sonrió, tallando el hombro del otro. Estiró sus pies y pienso en lo cómodo que estaba. Estaban en ese apartamento pequeño que llamaban casa cuando visitaban. En el tercer piso, con sus carpetas de color verde sucio, y puertas rechinadoras. Por el momento, hogar lejos de hogar. Roció su mano sobre la piel cálida de Kotal, sonriendo cuando el otro se recargó más fuertemente contra el. Así le gustaba mirarlo, contento , sano y salvo en us brazos. Aunque apenas cabía.

Hey there I was wondering if you could write for Henry Cavill and can it be something like y/n is kind of a newly famous younger singer and is on the Graham Norton Show with Henry and you know he’s always kind of been objectified which kind of makes me sad so maybe Graham mentions that y/n is a fan of Henry and he assume it’s mostly about his looks but y/n asks Henry about gaming and stuff like War Hammer and stuff and he’s really happy that it’s not just a bout his looks and it’s a cute moment as they bond about that stuff and maybe turns a little flirty. Pairing: Henry Cavill x Hispanic/Latina! Reader

Summary: Henry Cavill and Y/N bond over their love for Warhammer and World of Warcraft in the most unlikely place.

Warning: no warnings.

A/N: im sorry if I keep mentioning Eiza González in my Henry Cavill fanfics but she is literally the only Latina that can be linked to him, the only other Latina is technically Shakira and I don’t think they even talked. Also, I LOVE Becky G so she will ALWAYS be like a reference when it comes to outfits or songs when writing about “singer! Reader”

Y/N was in the recording booth, recording her new song.

“Soy muy buena niña, 100 de calificación, tengo todo bien resuelto, vivo chill de vacación, cerveza, billar, dados, tacos son mi tradición, pero tú eres idiota.” Y/N sang but her manager made a signal to stop and the backing track stopped, Y/N took off her headphones. “What’s going on? I thought it was sounding really good.” Y/N got out of the booth.

“It was, it really was, my dear, but I got a call and Graham Norton wants you on his show as his musical guest.” Y/N manager, Milagros, said. Y/N got a water bottle out of the mini fridge by the soundboard.

“Graham Norton? I didn’t think I was popular enough with the UK crowd, I just started.” Y/N said, drinking water.

“Your song was in a movie, you gained a lot of fans from that. Plus, you’d be surprised how many Europeans LOVE Latinas. Would you be interested? He wants you in 2 weeks.” Milagros said

“I don’t know if I can, I don’t even watch the show.” Y/N said.

“Well, i thought you’d be interested since Henry Cavill will be one the guests.” Milagros said, she turned to leave the studio.

“In 2 weeks, right?” Y/N asked.

“Yes! Okay so Henry Cavill will be there with Eiza González, and Henry Goulding. I’m gonna make the call, continue recording, this song is going to be a hit, I know it.” Milagros walked away to make the call.

“Okay compa, do we start from the top?” Y/N asked, stepping into the booth.

“Yes, that would be preferable.” The music producer said.

Y/N was backstage getting her makeup done.

“Oh my god, I’m so nervous. I’ve seen what people have said about Renee Rapp and how she has no media training, these people will rip me to shreds.” Y/N began to panic to Milagros.

“A ver, mi niña, cálmate, You’re going to be great, you’re going to sing your heart out, sit with the Henries and Eiza, and answer some questions that Graham might have about your musical journey. You’ve been working for this, you’ll be great.” Milagros said. Y/N was wearing a decent performance outfit that’s also TV appropriate.

“And welcoming the Latin Pop Princess of the moment, here’s Y/N L/N singing her hit, ‘Arranca’” Graham announced and Y/N walk out on stage wearing this.

She sang her song and everyone applauded. Y/N walked over to sit next to Henry Goulding.

“Y/N, that was a spectacular performance, honestly.” Graham complimented her.

“Oh thank you, I was very nervous, this is my first TV appearance.” Y/N responded.

“Does not seem like it. I’ve heard that you are a big fan of Henry Cavill.” Graham said.

“Oh yes, I really am.” Y/N responded, nodding her head excitedly.

“Are you a fan of his shirtless movie scenes?” Graham asked and Y/N laughed a little before catching a glimpse of Henry who looked a little uncomfortable with Graham’s question.

“No actually, I became a fan of his when I discovered that he’s into Warhammer as well.” Y/N replied and Henry looked at her.

“Really?” Henry asked.

“Yes! I’ve collected quite a few, sometimes I just don’t have the time to paint all of them so there are a few figurines left untouched.” Y/N said.

“Whenever you finish painting, we should play together sometime.” Henry said.

“I’d like that a lot actually, it’s a dream come true to okay Warhammer with the great Henry Cavill, are you kidding?” Y/N said and there a few laughs.

“So Y/N, you’re still new to the industry, only being signed for what, 5 months? How did you get discovered?” Graham asked

“Well, my friend was holding this fundraiser because she runs that performing arts school in New York, the one Timothee Chalamet went too…” Y/N started and there were cheers in the crowd. “Yeah, Timothee is popular, anyway, she needed to replace a performer who got sick, she knows I sing, so instead of playing world of Warcraft that night, I was singing on stage and this woman, who is now my manager, came up to me with this tall guy and said I had a really great voice and if I was interested in becoming a singer.” Y/N said.

The last 6 minutes of the show was just Y/N answering questions because she is new to the industry. When the show finished, Y/N was walking backstage when she felt someone touch her shoulder. She turned around and saw Henry.

“You play world of Warcraft too?” Henry asked.

“Yeah, I do. Along with The Witcher, it’s actually the reason why I became a fan of you. I know I said it with Graham, but it’s awesome that there’s a celebrity with the same hobbies as me, you know? Besides, it’s fun to surprise people who only see me as a pretty face.” Y/N said.

“Yes, I feel the same way, a lot of people see my body and they become a fab of me because they think I’m hot.” Henry said.

“I mean you are hot, but you are so much more than that.” Y/N said

“What do you feel about getting dinner with me right now?” Henry asked. Y/N looked down at her outfit.

“Let me change and I’ll let Milagros know.” Y/N said.

“I’ll wait for you outside the door so we can leave together.” Henry said and Y/N went to her dressing room and told Milagros everything.

“Ay mija, Im so excited for you. Have fun, tell me everything.” Milagros said, giving Y/N her change of clothes.

Y/N walked out and saw Henry on his phone. He looked up as soon as he heard the door open and close.

“You look great. Let’s go.” Henry said, holding out his arm so Y/N could hold on as they started walking out of the studio.

“amorcito, you’re going to leave me again…” you frown, jude zipping up his jacket and grabbing his last minute items. “alexa play “llévame contigo” by romeo santos,” you yell out.

“isn’t that a break up song? also amor, it’s just three days…”

“okayyyyyy? are you saying you’re not gonna miss me? there’s a reason why i’m playing this song jude,” you cross your arms against your chest, hearing jude chuckle and walk towards you. “when did i say that?” jude insists.

“you didn’t but it sounded like it…”

“y/n-”

“no listen, the song starts off by saying if you’ll cancel your flight and stay with me… then transition to a heartfull lyrics of how i’ll even be a chaperone just so you can take me with you… just to be with you…”

“you know i would take you if i could-”

“i’m not finished,” you cut him off jude giving you a taken at back look, similar to when the interviewer asked him if he wanted to go home with her. you pointing to the speaker and making him listen even though he was barely understanding. “listen jude… it’s a sad song… i’m sad because you’re leaving…”

“you’re gonna miss me that much?”

“i miss you already and you’re right here…”

“what else does the song say?” jude says as he picks you up and sits you on the kitchen counter, tilting your chin to look at him. “basically holding onto hope that one day they may come back even if it’s a friendly relationship… it’s sad jude… so sad…”

“but with us it’s different, mi vida,” you close your eyes hearing him call you “my life” internally screaming. “because i am coming back to you. i will be there and here for you, and what we have isn’t friendly… we’re in love baby…” jude says holding your face so the words can be fully promised and protected.

“llévame contigo si te vas de vacación… y aunque sea chaperon…” you smile as you sing slightly ignoring him because you hated goodbyes. jude leaving even for the smallest bit almost seemed unbearable and painful. “take me with you tomorrow… take me in i won’t lie…”

“okay now you’re pushing it…” jude says slightly annoyed but amused by your playful self.

“so now you don’t love me? okay i see how it is… alexa play “hilito” by romeo santos then “imitadora”. seems like my boyfriend isn’t my boyfriend…” you hope off the counter, getting pulled back immediately by jude who pressed kisses all over you face and neck. “what are those songs about?”

“about moving on from someone attempting to forget them, and asking for their old selves to come back because the new them is cruel and unrecognizable…” you say through giggles. jude reassured you, kissing you and hugging you tight knowing how hard goodbyes were for him and you.

later on the plane ride to his destination he is texting you, you sending a picture of the “llévame contigo” playing.

Throwback Thursday to Spain thirteen years ago today.

Mi vacación en España, hace trece años hoy.

qué especifidades tenía Nicaragua en los 80 a la hora de llevar a cabo la reforma de la tierra/propiedad? Hubo algún factor no previsto único a Nicaragua?

Yo diría que Nicaragua no tenía problemas únicos al respecto.

En la mayoría de los paises subyugados, la tierra ha sido propiedad de unas cuantas personas y familias adineradas quienes lo han utilizado para explotar al campesino aun mas, y aunque esos terratenientes hayan sido un grupo minimal privilegiada, siempre han tenido un poder desproporcionado.

En el caso de Nicaragua, previo a la revolución, el 20% de las tierras arables pertenecía directamente a la familia Somoza (en práctica, todo le pertenecía al dictador). Y no era solo dueño de tierras arables, también tenía un sinnúmero de propiedades como bancos, hoteles, (Montelimar, el hotel más lujoso de Nicaragua con su propia pista aérea en ese tiempo, fue casa de vacación privada de Anastasio Somoza Debayle) minas y varias empresas privadas. No tengo el conocimiento suficiente como para decir que eso nunca se ha dado en otra parte del mundo, pero el adueñamiento de Somoza fue masiva.

(Muchas veces se repite que hasta el 50% de las tierras del país le pertenencia a Somoza, pero parece ser un dato incorrecto. Cuando he investigado artículos contemporáneos sobre la reforma, varios de ellos mencionan que solo lograron contabilizar 20% . Todavía era demasiado, aunque no al grado que se creía).

Cuando Nicaragua implementó su reforma agraria, todas las propiedades de Somoza fueron expropiadas y convertidas en fincas estatales, cooperativas o entregadas directamente a campesinos pobres. Eso significó que el 20% de las tierras arables de Nicaragua regresaron a la población en un paso de 5 años.

Una cosa bastante única de Nicaragua, es que no todas las tierras de latifundistas fueron confiscadas. Solo los que le pertenecían a Somoza y sus aliados directos.

En ese entonces, el FSLN intentaba mantener una "frente popular" que había surgido durante la lucha y que incluía a todos, sea burgués, sea liberal, con tal que fuera anti-somocista. Si querían una política marxista, pero también tenían que defender a Nicaragua de las sanciones estadounidenses. Eso significó no pelearse con la clase terrateniente, si no darles concesiones con la esperanza de que ellos siguieran aportando a la economía.

Tal vez uno diría hoy que se equivocaron, pero a la misma vez no les quiero juzgar demasiado duro. Cuando Somoza asesino al liberal-burgues Pedro Joaquín chamorro en 1978, eso escandalizó a todo el país lo suficiente para erosionar su apoyo entre la burguesía, causando que ellos empezaran a apoyar a los sandinistas. Esa imagen de "legitimidad" que ahora podian enseñar al mundo, de que ni los mismos burgueses querían al dictador, probablemente jugó un rol en el cese del apoyo estadounidense a finales de la insurrección, y ese apoyo burgués intentaron mantener luego del triunfo.

Por las mismas razones, empresas multinacionales tampoco fueron expropiadas, pero como ya sabemos: no se puede confiar a la clase burguésa. Ellos siguieron atropellando a la revolución en cada paso.

En vez de producir, varios de ellos dejaron las fincas abandonadas para impedir al proyecto revolucionario, otros dejaron las cosechas perderse porque el gobierno no pagaba los precios que ellos demandaban.

En el comienzo, el gobierno interino incluyo a liberales como Violeta Chamorro, pero ella y los demas se salieron en menos de un año, reclamando que "la política era demasiado marxista" (Lol. Lmao)

Eso empeoró las relaciones con la burguesía aun mas. Los finqueros se preocupaban de que les iban a expropiar también, y pidieron mas protecciones, mas concesiones y cuando no se las daban, hablaban mal del gobierno y "el comunismo nefasto".

Cuando los campesinos que habían quedado sin tierras demandaban que se expropiaran mas fincas y se repartieran parcelas para ellos, los sandinistas cedieron unas cuantas tierras estatales, o se las compraban a los terratenientes sobrantes para apaciguarles.

Aun asi, no fue suficiente. Muchos campesinos todavía tenian una idea firme de que un hombre no era libre si no tenía su propio pedazo de tierra. No querían trabajar en cooperativas o fincas comunes, y reclamaban al gobierno, pidiendo que dividan las tierras estatales y se los entreguen a ellos individualmente mejor (aun faltaba conciencia marxista).

Mas encima, estaba la Contra. Atacaban a las cooperativas y mataron a miles de trabajadores sandinistas, sembrando temor en la población rural y causando aun mas grandes pérdidas agrícolas cuando esa población no podía tender a sus tierras por miedo de que les mataran también (mi mamá formó parte de las brigadas voluntarias para levantar a la producción cosechando café, y mi padrastro algodón mientras estaba en el ejército. "No fue hasta que hice ese trabajo que verdaderamente entendí el sufrimiento del trabajador campesino, cortándome en esas capsulas de algodón.")

Como ya sabemos, la revolución fue interrumpida. Nicaragua y el FSLN no superó los obstaculos impuestos por el mundo, perdiendo las elecciones en 1990.

Antes de leer "Life stories of the nicaraguan revolution", no habia entendido lo similar que eran las situaciones en Cuba y Nicaragua: sanciones que impedian la importacion de piezas necesarias para la industria y la sciencia, falta de comida, ropa y calzado, filas masivas para recibir la racion de arroz, frijoles y azucar distribuidos por el gobierno, inflación inmensa y un hostigamiento eterno por parte de los Estados Unidos.

A veces me pregunto como estaría Nicaragua hoy si eso no hubiera pasado. Aun sufriría el mismo maltrato que hoy golpea a Cuba?

Desgraciadamente, con el regreso del neoliberalismo en 1990, los campesinos fueron despojados de sus tierras una vez mas. La misma Violeta Chamorro clasificó a las expropiaciones como "ilegales" y decidió "devolverlos al libre mercado" (venderlos por 50 centavos). Ella decidió perdonar la deuda masiva que Estados Unidos tenía con Nicaragua después del fallo en la Haya, ella privatizó la salud, privatizó la educación, le quito el vasito de leche que se le daba a todos los niños de los primeros clases, desmanteló al ferrocarril, etc, etc.

Hoy en día no hay mismo plan de cooperativismo o fincas estatales. Lo que si se hace es entregar títulos de propiedad a la gente, para que nadie pueda venir a despojarles como lo han hecho en tiempos pasados (por supuesto, eso es mas que todo un acto simbólico. Si el sandinismo algun dia cae, una futura Violeta Chamorro no se importará de respetar esos papeles).
