Woo! Page of drawings for me to get back into the swing of drawing again. It’s about this demon au with maybe magic girls? I dunno, I can’t decide whether or not to also have magical girls be a thing but it is definitely a demon au. Phantom and Danny are separate beings. Anyways, I’ll say a few things about each drawing under the cut, I could talk more about this AU in general but not on this post.

Top left - Phantom the demon-as Danny nicknamed him-gets out of the portal in his fully taken over form. Shortly thereafter Danny gains back control(not pictured).

Bottom left - Danny when he’s in control of his demon form I guess. I don’t know how else to format that sentence. I don’t know who he’s saying hi to, but he’s blushing.

Middle - a little doodle of Danny with a random brush I found

Top Right - The beginning of Danny transforming. I can’t think of a phase to replace “going ghost” for this au and it’s making me go crazy.

Bottom Right - Valerie Ref for this au! She basically the same but I gave her a cool coat(I love drawing coats), a little change to her bandanna(it has little wings on the end), a mask and ski goggles to replace her original mask because I wanted to show her hair, and gave her visual indicators about what she would do and her gloves and boots. Just thought that would be cool.

Took so long to find time to work on this and post it, but I think it’s time to move on from it :) Very much inspired by @chuwenjie’s work solely from studying Kat’s work. Now that I’m taking her class (and nearly done), I want to use this as a reference point to see how much I can improve.

Took me a couple hours of working on this to realize that adding this much detail was gonna make me finish wayy after the week was already over but Valerie deserves it so here we are

Look, maybe I am not looking in the right places, but can we talk about how shady the Fenton's "parenting style" must look to everyone else in Amity? Maybe not cannonically, but the fandom really needs to start thinking about it.

We should talk about how easily it is to confuse vigilantism with abuse.

I want Danny with unexplained bruises every other day and the A listers assuming the worst.

I want Mr Lancer seeing Danny start struggling with school for, apparently, no reason and see him sleep on class and realize those are signs of abuse.

I want people to see how protective Sam and Tucker are and realize there's something they are protecting him from.

I need Valerie to see Danny run off at any sign of ghosts and suddenly "oh Fenton doesn't look scared of ghosts" and it clicks in her mind that maybe he's running from his parents.

I want people to see Danny do uncanny things, or have too much pain tolerance, or brush off whatever Dash came up with today and think "huh, that doesn't sound right"

I want the metaphor for child abuse in the show to become a little bit more real in the narrative. Is that too much to ask? I want them hearing the horror stories of the Fenton's cooking and start putting together that "oh, maybe they don't actually... mind experimenting on themselves" and who's to say the same fate didn't happen to Danny or Jazz?

Who's to say where evil scientists stops and child endangerment starts? And if suddenly, Amity Park has started to make Danny's life a little bit easier by making the Fenton's life harder, well, correlation and causation are one hell of a drug.

I like the idea that despite Danny's hatred of Vlad, he can't help but look up to him a bit. Vlad, even though he's a prick, is pretty cool. Sucks he sucks so bad tho.
