Ben’s Fast Food can be found at Allied Food-To-Go, the cloud kitchen. Order online for pickup or delivery. If you order pickup, your food is placed in a locker. The door opens when you look up or present your order info (close it when you’ve picked up your order). It’s totally contactless.
Ben’s specializes in nutritious grain & veggie bowls with slow roasted proteins. Every bowl includes “slow roasted protein, a base of fresh greens or hearty grains (or both!), choice of signature sauce, steamed cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, roasted sunflower seeds, pickled red onions, fresh cucumber, & parsley garnish.” The food is affordable and nutritious. It also contains no gluten, dairy, soy, or refined sugar. And it’s vegan, unless you choose to add slow-roasted chicken or slow-roasted pork shoulder.
A bowl is $8.95 and is fully customizable – you can add things or subtract things. But they don’t have that many options (add avocado, walnuts, or pickled onions) compared to say CAVA.
Grain & Veggie Simple Bowl with Slow Roasted Pork Shoulder and Smoky Chipotle Sauce ($7.40): This is smaller than their regular bowls. It has a mix of brown rice and millet, flash steamed cauliflower, broccoli, and carrots, sauce, and a bit of pork. The veggies were chopped into very small cubes – not sure why (for faster cooking?). The small cut made it easy to mix everything together but I prefer larger pieces of veggies. The pork was tender and simply seasoned. The rice and millet were cooked properly. The creamy sauce was smoky, tangy, and a little spicy – good sauce. The regular bowl is a better deal.
Allied Food-To-Go has no seating. There are three parking spaces on the side of the building. You can place your order there or order ahead.

we came, we saw, we... used a stand mixer to process faux meat and vegetables? 🤷🏼♀️
overall I'm quite pleased with this, but to me it kinda seems like a food processor was in development for this pack as well, but then to cut corners they decided to shove it all into the stand mixer.
my kingdom for a food processor! and while we're at it, a trash compactor!

There's something about veggie spring rolls that are so magical. If you give me a salad I'll eat a few bites and not want more but if you take those exact same ingredients and wrap them in rice paper I'll eat enough to make me sick. Explain
