it is all chaos and entropy. the thing is that the chaos and entropy make it beautiful and lovely.
yes, it's true that nature and the universe are uncaring and unspecific, and that is terrifying. i have lived through some of the unfairness - i got born like this, with my body caving into itself, with this ironic love of dance when i sometimes can't stand up for longer than 15 minutes. i am a poet with hands that are slowly shutting down - i can't hold a pen some days. recently i found a dead bird on our front porch. she had no visible injuries. she had just died, the way things die sometimes.
it is also true that nature and the universe are uncaring and unspecific, and that is wonderful. the sheer happenstance that makes rain turn into a rainbow. the impossible coincidence of finding your best friend. i have made so many mistakes and i have let myself down and i have harmed other people by accident. nature moves anyway. on the worst day of my life she delivers me an orange juice sunset, as if she is saying try again tomorrow.
how vast and unknowing the universe! how small we are! isn't that lovely. the universe has given us flowers and harp strings and the shape of clouds. how massive our lives are in comparison to a grasshopper. the world so bright, still undiscovered. even after 30 years of being on this earth, i learned about a new type of animal today: the dhole.
chance echoing in my life like a harmony between two people talking. do you think you and i, living in different worlds but connected through the internet - do you think we've ever seen the same butterfly? they migrate thousands of miles. it's possible, right?
how beautiful the ways we fill the vastness of space. i love that when large amounts of people are applauding in a room, they all start clapping at the same time. i love that the ocean reminds us of our mother's heartbeat. i love that out of all the colors, chlorophyll chose green. i love the coincidences. i love the places where science says i don't know, but it just happens.
"the universe doesn't care about you!" oh, i know. that's okay. i care about the universe. i will put my big stupid heart out into it and watch the universe feast on it. it is not painful. it is strange - the more love you pour into the unfeeling world, the more it feels the world loves you in return. i know it's confirmation bias. i think i'm okay if my proof of kindness is just my own body and my own spirit.
i buried the bird from our porch deep in the woods. that same day, an old friend reaches out to me and says i miss you. wherever you go, no matter how bad it gets - you try to do good.
I personally think that Leo took the wrong lessons from the movie. I definitely think he grew to understand the importance of teamwork and making sure he takes others into account so as to not harm them by proxy of whatever scheme he has cooked up, however based on the ending events I’m not quite certain he fully grasped two things.
The first thing is communication. Oh, he can communicate, and he does, when he deems it necessary. When he’s setting up a plan prior to the action. But this is where the second thing comes in.
The second thing I don’t think Leo truly grasped is “it’s not about you.” It’s so unbearably easy to take that the wrong way, especially when taking the rest of the series into account.
What I believe Leo took from this message is not “it’s not just you, everyone matters and can contribute, can help and be helped” but “put the whole of everyone above yourself” which can both be a good lesson…and a fatal one.
And it is fatal, we see as much in the movie.
Even after the big hope speech, when Leo is “fighting” Krang!Raph, he takes a huge risk. Sure, it worked, and Leo managed to get through to Raph through a well deserved apology, but it could have so easily ended in his death and yet he barely even hesitates to go for it.
And then again, to the big scene at the end, where Leo sacrifices himself not only for the sake of his family, but for the whole world.
To him, that’s the message to take from this. That the lives of everyone, of the greater good, matters…more than him. That the risk to himself is worth it if others can be saved.
Leo learned that gambling with his life as the betting chip is always the best move to make in the end.
And to make matters worse…this thinking is what works.
These risks are ultimately what is needed to save the day, so why would Leo look away from it now? Clearly it’s the right move and everything worked out!
Thing is, Leo did grow from the events of the movie. He learned to take things more seriously and be more mature, he learned to value his team’s input and capabilities enough to rely on them more, and he learned to be less self-centered and realize the turmoil others were going through (especially if that turmoil is a result of his actions.)
But still, he’s grown to accept the gamble of his life as a viable answer to their problems.
Personally, with how Leo has been shown to toy around with the idea of “it’s better me than them” I think this goes beyond sacrifice in the name of love or even sacrifice in the name of responsibility, and pushes over into sacrifice in the name of worth.
I know. It's not the case but y'all I am cackling at the thought that the real reason Grant told Sparrow that their kids could no longer see each other was because of the messages Normal sent Lincoln about his feet I fucking can't I-
Hi I hate to be cheesy but I wanted to say that while a lot of people - very rightly!!! - point out how cool your art is and how inspirational it is that you showed art can be learned, not just a rare natural born talent, I also LOVE your sense of humor. The dialog and visual jokes are always so sharp and are guarenteed to make me laugh! Because I'm autistic as hell lol I like to bookmark things I can read through over agian when I'm looking for laughs and your blog is now high on the list! Thx!
Be not afraid to be cheesy; your genuine message has brought me immense joy B’*)
It's a shame tiktok isn't a thing in One Piece because I know Usopp & Buggy would dominate the platform. Their clout far exceeding that of their cohorts.
Buggy because his crew keeps posting him being a fucking loser and he becomes immoralized as a meme. He doesn't even have his own account nor does he realize he's internet famous.
"Pulling a Buggy" becomes a common saying among the youth. It depends on the context whether it's an insult or compliment because it can be either. It becomes a trend to "fail upward" at something in clown makeup. Buggy starts seeing these teenagers wear the same look & he just thinks the world is finally getting good taste. When they come up to him asking for an autograph he assumes it's because of his pirating & his ego goes through the roof.
Usopp because he legit makes the funniest and most creative videos imaginable. He has over 10 million followers and Nami makes him take sponsorships so he can bring in some money. The crew didn't believe him at first until some kids at a random island wouldn't stop following him around.
Luffy thinks it's fun and tries to make his own account, but his videos are shit so he just settles for constantly appearing in Usopp's. He gets so excited when Usopp records and gets mopey if he isn't needed for the new skit.
In fact, the only reason the internet knows about the strawhats is because Usopp likes to use them as props. He'll record them doing funny or cool fighting stuff then edit them into his skits later. Sanji pretends to hate it and Zoro actually does. Franky is only allowed to be in them waist up because Usopp kept getting flagged for sexual content. Robin usually only appears during the spooky months. People think Chopper & Brook are puppets.
Sogeking has his own account. The internet has no idea it's Usopp & it's a thing to make theories on who he really is behind the mask. Entire accounts are dedicated to finding out his secret identity.
Usopp has edited Sogeking into his videos as a "guest" in order to throw off the theorists. Luffy & Chopper still don't know it's actually Usopp and get really mad because he didn't let them know Sogeking was around.
Pls help how do you draw eyess(or faces in general)💀💀 like what do you dooooo help my faces always look so weird and the same whenever I draww
Hi !
I'm learning with Proko classes but he has a Youtube channel with free cool lessons for beginners (perspective, shading, construction lines) he does have lessons for the head too I believe ! Of course, drawing your faves on the side, many times, helps.
It's very important to understand the basics first. I also do figure drawing too thanks to this website ➡️ https://line-of-action.com/
I also have the Michel Lauricella Morpho book that I have since I'm 21 (he also did one for the clothes, it's really nice)⬇️
When it comes to style unfortunately there's nothing more I can do, you make it, as you go 🎨🖌️I'm sure you have favourite movies, shows, books, artists, good strong influences that can help you craft it. The best way to get better at drawing is to have solid knowledge of your fundamentals. Understand how it works, why the bones are build that way and why they're called that way too ! (same thing for the muscles !) You can't draw something if that something doesn't have a name. Identify your weaknesses, keep pushing and working ! You'll see, it pays off ! ⬇️ (there's the Proko channel link down there)
Another very important advice would be to keep a sketchbook and fill it with doodles (no pencil !! only marker) we humans have this reflex of erasing our mistakes and then not learning ! Using a marker allows us to draw, fail, fail even more until we're on our knees crying, asking for mercy. But it's good, failure is good. Failure means you're learning, it's proof of your artistic journey. Like footprints. I understand fear can hold you back too but you can't do anything with nothing. You're not trying to reach for absolute perfection, that is not the purpose of this type of notebook, you can draw whatever you want!
(like this !! look at my THOND silly doodles ! no one can judge me this movie is a masterpiece)⬇️
I'll leave you with the 4 P's of life : Passion, Patience, Persistence, and Practice !
ingo being a. crazy old man suddenly reminded me of an old concept that went through my brain once where Ingo has. FULLY LOST IT. he keeps having visions of emmet that are driving him mad and so many zoroarks take his form that he starts to think that the real almighty sinnoh is like. some fucked up zoroark deity taking the form of a man in a pristine white coat and hat, and that the reason he fell into hisui with no memory in the first place was. because he literally came into existence right in that moment to be the messenger to the almighty sinnoh. (he finds out that its his brother and becomes normal. or he becomes worse.)
WAIT YEAH . I LOVE THIS . I love when old man goes insane and works himself into a religious mania
Suddenly smacked in the face by the implication of Romeo's message where he says "I remember you, so there's no reason for us to fight. I suppose."
I always thought the wording was weird, but didn't think too much on it... Until recently after we discussed some datamined stuff in the Carmeo/Promeo server. There's a scrapped line (where P was supposed to speak) that says "I may not remember, but I'm still your son" during the NP fight, and while the scrapped lines are their own can of worms, let's focus on the memory parts.
I had always thought that once a puppet woke up, they would just get their memories back. But the fact seems to be this: There are select memories that come back to give bits and pieces of their past that "wake" them up-- cause them to change, as we see with P and the necklace; As we see from the spliced memories at the Black Seaside. However, it might not be all one's memories that come back. Whether those spaces stay blank or come back over time, who knows.
What I'm trying to get at here is...
Romeo's memories might only consist of Carlo at the time of waking. Carlo was what woke Romeo-- "I remember you"-- He had the necklace, he knew from who it was; He recognized the face P was modeled after. "So there's no reason for us to fight, I suppose"-- there's a lack of confidence in the wording here. Friends aren't supposed to fight, right? That's what his memory tells him, at least.
And the only memories P tends to get in regards to his past? Those in relation to Romeo, his aspirations, and of his own death. Seemingly, these are the things most important to him.
They were the most important people to each other; They remembered each other, just one too late than the other.
